Goldleaf Gardenia

This is a light, fresh, beautiful fragrance. I usually dislike gardenia and jasmine, but the way they are used in this formulation is extremely pleasing. I have a purse spray which is perfect because I would probably reapply it midday. You would probably like this if you do not like overpowering perfume, or want an office-safe scent. Today as I test this fragrance there is snow outside and I'm wishing for summer. Goldleaf Gardenia Thymes reminds me of meandering through a fragrant garden at an opulent estate; I am dressed in white and sipping lemonade. The air is warm and bees float about, lazily landing on flowering bushes now and then. I have not a care in the world except to enjoy the garden in all its splendor.

Firstly, nothing like original Goldleaf. Secondly, smells very similar to Kimono Rose. I purchased the 12.5 ml travel dabber bottle. On the back of the box it says: "Dewy blossoms of velvety gardenia, lush rose and fresh jasmine creating a graceful bouquet. A delicate layering of creamy amber, opulent patchouli and delectable praline lends a warm tender finish. It's a classic favorite reinvented in a modern blend of charming elegance." The fragrance is a lightweight, sweet floral, weak in sillage, and mediocre in longevity. I sensed no patchouli. The perfume should have been called Sweet and Soft Flowers. It kind of reminded me of Bath & Body Works types of scent, meaning nondescript sweet florals jumbled together, but with a better bottle and better packaging artwork. Nice but no cigar.

I'm wearing this again and it is a sweet very SOAPY floral.

hmm, i am not sure what to make of this. at the beginning it smells intensely fruity to me, though there are no fruit notes listed. i think it smells like strawberries. then i get some nondescript floral notes. i think the sweetness is coming from the praline, but it smells like tart fruity notes to me. i don't get any gardenia whatsoever.

I wear this today on an unusually hot day in London. It works amazingly well on a heat. I was surprised how it was both light and full of silage. I should also note that this one gives me zero headaches like some perfumes do. So if you found this not your cuppa tea so far, try it in summer. You may get surprised. I will definitely wear it again and will enjoy it. It is the summer of 2023, climate changes and probably a perfect time to take this jewel out to accompany me through the hot summer days
