Afrodite

This has really benefitted from resting. I’ve had it nearly two years and it smells wonderful. I suspect it’s both matured and my nose is now appreciating it. Crystalline, cool and radiant it’s cool without feeling cold or unapproachable. Like a crisp clear sunny spring morning. Blue skies overhead and the promise of warmth but with an almost bracing freshness (clean air) to make you smile as you see all is well with the world. I get a lot of lilacs and juicy white fruits that lead into Iris and other florals and lush green notes. I want to bathe in this this spring. It has that vitality of youth but it’s more elegant, lightly sweet and very feminine. Not a sugary sweet entry but has that naturally fruity freshness along with a glass of cool water to really be lovely as things heat up.

I have no idea how white currant smells, but what other reviewers said is true, this is a lilac perfume, and for me I can smell the lily of the valley too. There is a sourness in the beginning which i tribute to peach note, but within 1 hours the sourness is gone, and it becomes a bit creamy, the sweetness is still there, the lilac is still the main player throughout the life of the fragrance. The drydown is so much better than the initial phase. The perfume lasts about 10 hours, but it is a tender perfume, it's polite and not intrusive, and you can overspray and it still won't be offensive. Personally, my most love lilac is Parco Palladiano vii, but this one gives another dimension to the flower. Yes, it's floral.

Lilac smells like laundry detergent or rather the supplemental laundry crystals that has a clean, bright, floral green, lime zest aroma. The white currants compliment this floral so well adding a tart fruitiness to the opening. This is a lilac fragrance and the lily-of-the-valley comes in strengthening the soapiness while geranium does the same for the floral greenness but with some spice. I get a saltiness from the ambergris and while this isn’t a sweet vanilla fragrance, the creaminess from the vanilla and sandalwood counteracts any sign of scratchiness from all the clean notes and signature TT musk. I will love this in a candle. Great performance on all ends especially for a clean freshie.

It’s mostly about expectations, I guess. As much as I’ve been recently appalled by (usually refined) Byredo’s Flowerhead, Afrodite pleasantly surprised me with none of shout-in your-face-falling-apart notes, which I have encountered in TT’s fragrances so many times. Even in those I love like Laudano Nero. However Afrodite is a very smooth blend of lilacs, peach, vanilla, musc and a little patchouli: sweetish, creamy, but somehow clean and with a beach/holiday vibe to it. Long lasting but not loud and quite unique actually. Had I been testing this blind my guess would have been that it’s a Kilian’s creation. Considering getting a FB. UPD: and I did and am quite happy about it.

I love this. It's the perfect blend of powdery, clean, soft, deep, and sexy. It's sexy the way people who aren't trying to be are, though. No one note sticks out to me, but if you don't like musk or powdery notes, steer clear. The combination of musk, iris, and violet rule this, while the other notes play a supporting role. I think this could work in any season, is suitable for day and night, and clean enough for work while also being a good date perfume. Very versatile, very good stuff.

I didn't expect Afrodite to be a soft smelling perfume. With a name like that, you'd have different expectation of it. BUT it's a beautiful sexy floral, which actually captures the essence of who Aphrodite is. Its floral notes are expertly balanced by a warm and inviting base of vanilla, musk and sandalwood.

Wow this is such a beautiful powdery lilac scent. Very feminine and soft. Slightly reminds me of Ex Nihilo Sweet Morphine. Very pretty and Im amazed no one talks about it. It has some sort of green note of the fresh lilac, its soapy clean and creamy. Must try for a lilac lovers.

I got a sample of this fragrance expecting to smell lilacs and white currant, but to me, it leans more toward a La Vie est Belle-type scent. It has too much patchouli for me to pick up on much else. But maybe that's just me — I usually don’t like patchouli in fragrances. When it’s mixed with something fresh and zesty, it can sometimes work, but in sweeter compositions, it’s a definite no for me. I do get some fruity notes, along with a bit of spice and woodiness, and subtle hints of lily of the valley. So if you’re into fruitchuli-style fragrances, this one is well blended.

I had high hopes for this but it wasn't to be. A bit too mainstream for me. I will stick with my Gucci.

This smells more like a fruity/floral chypre than "amber floral" to me. After spraying it on my skin, I can smell distinctly the patchouli in the top notes, balanced by the soft powder of the lilac and the fruity peach note. The composition is not unpleasant but it feels a bit synthetic, almost aseptic with its clearly defined notes. The floral+fruit+patch combo is quite heavy on my skin. As it dries it becomes more floral. It also becomes fruitier and sweeter. After about one hour it is very parfume-y and undescriptive, almost like the scent of a purse where a few different perfumes spilled and mixed. It's at the same time mature and juvenile, but somehow not timeless. In the long term it starts bothering me and I've to rub it off. It's very unfortunate because on the paper strip it smells beautifully soft. On my skin it becomes a weird mess. This is something that needs to be tried on skin, not a safe blind buy.

It has this TT signature, light, would almost add to my collection, but peach is stalking me quite unpleasantly.

I'm defo a gourmand girlie but this was recommended to me so I decided to order a sample. It's very soapie, very floral. I'm not a fan of florals and some fruits because I usually link it to shampoo... that's not something to spend that budget on lol. there's a specific scent I don't like in it, something that stinks to me, it smells like my coworker who always buys really cheap perfume and dupes and she smells like it. A specific flower I think. Don't buy it, it smells like Tania.

Best floral fragrance that I came across recently along with other accords such as sweet, fruity, musky, powdery, fresh and green. I totally love this one, perfectly fits in summer, spring and daytime mostly. Opening notes are Lilac, White Currant, White Peach, Pink Pepper and vanilla bean; middle notes are Lily-of-the-Valley, Neroli, Tuberose, iris and Geranium; base notes are White Musk, Ambergris, Ebony, Patchouli and Sandalwood in this. Longevity is moderate and the silage is enormous. This one is totally a lilac scent that is feminine and soft. A polite scent that has way more beautiful dry down than the initial phase. this is totally an intersting scent that deserves more attention. All my love! Enjoy!

Floral accord at its best. Superb lilac scent with some of the fresh green notes that are creamy and clean. I found it to be more of a feminine scent instead of unisex one. Lilac lovers must try it for sure as it gives the feel and scent of lily of valley. Opening gives a bit sour peachy, citrusy and fruity note followed by heart being sweet, cream and more of lilac. Lastly, it dries down lovingly giving the best of sandalwood and patchouli phase. On my skin, it lasted for 9-10 hours but the silage was polite, humble and kind of soft. It would fit on any spring or summer day, however being mils, can be even used throughout the year. An interesting yet beautiful scent indeed.

This is an interesting scent. With 1-2 sprays, it smells very green and with aquatic floral notes. With 3-4 sprays, I get more sweet, floral nuances. The lilac is potent here but doesn't smell like the typical lilac one would find in British soaps. It's a very green lilac. There's almost a slight menthol quality to the scent but it's super subtle. I definitely notice the pink pepper, the peach, and LOTV. This doesn't remind me of anything else I've smelled before. It's a like, not a love for me. This is not the TT scent for me. I have Cassiopeia but have about 6 other samples headed my way to test and I'm thinking Libra, Draco, or Borea is for me.

This reminds me of my grandmother, don’t take it the wrong way, it’s not an old fashioned scent at all. It’s just reminiscent of her skin scent from her clean white rosy arm, the blonde peach fuzz sparkling from the sunshine through the window. Her hands smelling like the chabacanos she picked from her tree. Her chest and clothes giving off a slightly foral powdery delicious musk. Her dreamy blue eyes and perfect white teeth

I feel as though im the only person to have actually purchased the bottle from these comments. It comes in a quite large luxurious box that when you open has an actual light that shines onto the bottle....I felt like the queen opening it but rather a touch much luxury for such an item..... On the other hand it is an absolute gem of a fragrance!

Opening smells like lotion + citrus + fruity shampoo. Not even kidding. It's not bad, but... what. It's like smelling commonplace items together at once. Hm. Edit: Okay, the drydown is a good bit better. Not full bottle worthy for me, but it's not bad. A nice vanilla / cocoa aspect comes out. :)

This is rather pleasant and reminds me a lot of “Tardes” by Carner. It has that purple floral vibe to this fragrance that I thoroughly enjoy. Side note: Im going to give this a full wearing and see if it’s full bottle worthy, because it very well may be. Nicely done.

I love lilacs. I have since happily picking the purple cones from the lush bush in my childhood backyard. Here the lilac fights for center stage with the pachouli. Not an attractive look. None of the other notes shine to me at all. Sorry, this is a pass.

Warm, salty skin and lilacs. Like you jumped into the ocean and then laid on the beach to let the sun dry you. And you are wearing a crown of lilacs.

I get a lot of lilac out of this. I like it but need to give it some more tries to see if it's fb worthy.
