Arethusa

One of my absolute favorite summer scents! Not a bit of sharpness in this beauty on my skin. No dirty marine notes, just a soft, fruity, fresh, summer frag. This smells to me of a bowl of juicy sweet Pomegranate, fig, a splash of sweet plum & some orange zest to add a sweet freshness. Sea breeze blowing in the air. In the breeze you catch a whiff of the jasmine, a touch of orange blossom(but these are more light whiffs, balancing the fruits, adding a different kind of sweet freshness to the frag), & a dry fresh Sage. In this fragrance i also pick up a hint of the spicy ginger, which blends perfectly with the fruits, adding a ZING to the watery fruity notes, and a beautiful warm Saffron in the middle closer to dry down stage. This is watery fresh picked fruits, airy soft tropical florals, a few miles away from a large body of water, A fresh zing, & some dry herbs to add depth & beauty. Leans fem, & i don't pick up directly on any leather or harsh notes at all. i belive they are here to balance as well & add longevity. I'll be wearing this ALL summer. It's perfect imo. Sillage is moderate & projection as well for the 1st 2-3hrs or so, then she sits closer to skin, but still there. You can still be smelt within close proximity, or in a breeze after the 2/3hr mark. Worth a sample 100%...this was such a welcomed surprise to my collection. *EDIT*: I came to add that I thought it became a skin scent after 2-3hrs but NO def not! I just became use to the scent. After applying at 2pm, it's now 11pm, & she is projecting NICELY off my body. About a foot outwards & my trail is AMAZING! After sweating & warming my skin up, Arethusa is performing even better, & just smells so BEAUTIFUL! Best fruity/fresh frag I've EVER had the pleasure of testing & this is almost Illegal how highly underrated this frag is lol. Please test at least! I'm glad I did! I Will purchase a full bottle before summer of 2025. Also I want to note that this isn't super unique, or edgy, etc. But what makes it stand out in my mind/collection is how well blended Arethusa is, How tons of ambroxen isn't used, no harsh musky or patchouli notes, it's ACTUALLY a semi realistic, sweet, juicy, fruity scent, with beautiful fresh florals. A grown up fruity scent, that actually last & projects well. Well crafted, well blended, with great quality oils, I adore it!

I got my bottle a few weeks ago i was just exploring fragrances to find something unique and came across to arethusa, when i tested it on my skin i was already wearing another perfume so couldn't really notice the blend initially but still went ahead and bought it ,,honestly speaking i regreted it a day later, was asking to myself why did i even bought it and from that day it was sitting on my shelf completely packed and today i thought to myself to give it a try and see what is it all about and man she is floral she is sweet and fruity she is fresh with the hint of some woodiness and the way it blends " chef's kiss" i sprayed only little amount on my skin and clothes and my whole room was filled with this, its leaving a trail behind wherever i am going if im sitting in a closed environment the whole room smells like me Ps, a little note for new users it works amazingly in warm weather it gives a maximum sillage in little warm environment and in air-conditioned room it gets around 5ft,yet i am wearing it from last 7 hrs this is a hidden gem of this house trust me on this All you need is to warm yourself up a little when you apply it and it will do the magic its supposed to do

Wow wow wow this is special! but not for everyone it's a fruity aquatic floral scent for summer and maybe suitable for spring(canadian weather) on me(black skin) I get pomegranate and orange, aquatic notes and fresh floral/herbal notes you really get the juice from fresh cut fruits: fresh juicy sweet (natural). The aquatic notes make it really juicy and watery fresh ( it's almost mouthwatering) in the background you have the florals and herbs balanced and well blended. I don't get any leather and sandalwood but I think the ingredients are extremely well blended which would explain the great longevity of this fragrance. I give it a 8.5/10 scent 8.5/10 projection 6/10 close to skin after 4h silage 6 leaves a nice trail behind you and just beautiful in the wind longevity 10/10 close to skin after 4h but still can smell it after 10h this ia great alternative to citrus summer scents it's fruity and floral-ish -> try do not blind buy if you like Toy boy, Mancera Black Gold and "feminine"/unsiex scents give this a try

This is a hard scent to dissect given the sheer amount of notes. It is super well blended and hard to pick out single notes with ease. Off the top i can notice the pomegranite accord and the sage. The scent is aquatic, sweet, fresh, a smidge citrusy, and slightly spicy from the ginger. There isn't a cloying sweetness here, it's well rounded from the sea water and salt accords. There's an uplifting floral composition next to the aquatics that makes you feel like you're in a seaside garden. The saffron, leather, sand and vetiver notes don't stick out that much, they feel like they kind of accompany the salt and deepen it. I find this fragrance surprisingly sits close to unisex, maybe a smidge feminine but i think men could rock this just as easily. Definitely a summertime fragrance. Oh and did i mention it performs insanely well? Go easy on the trigger with this. It projects like crazy and lasts all day.

This is... gorgeous! Idole by Armani used to be my signature scent about 10 years ago (now discontinued). This is 90% similar to idole but with better projection, longevity and it's a bit more sweet which I like. I know a lot of people say it's more for spring/summer, however I think it could easily be worn all year round.

I love the scent, been complimented alot since wearing this. Love the acquatic note,fresh smelling scent. Longevity of this perfume is amazzzinggg! I haven't sprayed it on my jacket and yet I can smell the scent the next day on it. Just smells heavenly.

first spray I get marine but disappear mixed with fruity notes then the the leather start kicking in and it plays with the rose notes it keeps swapping with rose at the end it settle in floral notes I didn't addict fig or vetiver its worth to try

Yes, it's a cold watery scent, crystal, refreshing But not too cold and not marine at all I didn't catch any salt in this (first impression) Rather violets, which aren't listed here Violet-centric scent to me

Really liked this bottle. Been through a lot of Terenzi stuff. This I toke note. Really well composed, so I bought a bottle. Just agrees with me and my tastes.

It's a gorgeous leathery fruity floral gentle like a wind. Addictive and subtle, very feminine and elegant. I tend to reach for it spring-summer.

About a month or so later, I came across an article on Arethusa where the writer suggested to warm the fragrance, let it cool & sit for a month. With nothing to lose i gave it a shot AND MAN WAS HE RIGHT! THIS FRAG JUST BLOSSOMED INTO THE MOST INCREDIBLE SCENT! It took on a whole new life of floral leather with the indelible thought of WTF IS IN THIS?! Man i love this stuff!! Another true masterpiece from Paolo Terenzi. The projection and longevity of this composition is BEASTLY so go easy wth it at first. A LITTLE GOES SUCH A LoNG WAY! A LITTLE SIDE NOTE**** TIZIANA TERENZI DOES NOT USE SYNTHETICS.... EVER! They only use the highest quality ingredients & most, if not all of their fragrances are at a staggering 30% ratio SO YOU'RE REALLY GETTING YOUR $$$ WORTH! Another thing i like most about this house is the fact its a brother and sister team who's grandfather was a perfumer based in Italy & the grandfather taught Paolo everything he knows. Being born into the industry shows in his work. He's a true perfectionist who cuts no corners & I look forward to future releases.

Such a unique scent. I bought a decant early 2022 and really didn’t like it. My nose was confused as heck. Tried again a few months later and it was much better. Now in summer 2023 (southern hemisphere) I cracked it out (single spray) and did a workout (other arm was Soleil Blanc) and after a decent sweaty workout it’s singing clearly. The initial wearing gave me an odd “stuffing” note like sage and onion stuffing 🤣 must have been the sage along with the salt and sea notes. Now I’m more used to salt in fragrances and really enjoy the freshness and outdoorsy touch. I get a lot of deep plummy /figgy fruit notes (no clear citrus) mixed with lovely soapy florals. Really long lasting and it projects. I can clearly smell the single spray on my right forearm with my arm down by my side. Not the same experience with Soleil Blanc. The outdoorsy, sun on your skin and a bowl of fresh sun warmed fruits nearby with a cool sea breeze blowing in is refreshing and unique. This has aquatic touches done right. I need a bigger decant which may just lead to a full bottle.

I really like this one. It's a rich and intense which isn't that surprising considering it's strength. You do get the aquatic note but more than that I get fig sweetness and a lot of fresh herbalishisness. It doesn't get too sweet. It smells very natural. The freshness is probably care of the citrus notes. It doesn't really develop that much but I'm not bothered as I'm quite happy with it as is. It's the olfactory equivalent of an early evening walk along the windswept beach beside the Mediterranean. There was a storm last night. It's warm and the wind is refreshing. You are scrambling around thyme and other natural growing herbs. You catch the occasional waft of herbs. That's how I remember it when I was on hols in Crete. The more I wear it the more I love it. Not surprisingly longevity is very good and sillage average.

This has so many notes, to me it smells like salted fruit salad. Very slightly salted. It contains such a mix I can't distinguish anything, it's not special anymore. Even to the point that I feel like Im wearing three perfumes mixed together. I am not in love, but it still creates a likeable sweet-fruity scent. I did expect something more, I must say. I cannot imagine paying the full price for this, Im glad I got it with a significant discount. All this sounds kinda negative, but Im still giving it the LIKE smiley though. :) Update: I like it mouch more after two years. It's quite lovely.

this is a pretty unique blend. i wanted to try it because of the figue but from this i smell everything but the fig. its there in the opening combined with pomegranate, plum, some spice from the ginger and sandalwood but it doesnt smell like a SPICY perfume. all of these notes are blended into the sea note which adds saltiness, freshness, its like putting all of the fruits and spices into a bucket of sea water unique but i dont want to wear it

It's boho-chic but in a good way. It's kind of unique, it's marine in the sense that it's salty but it's really not aquatic at all, it's dry and warm, reminds me of the dry shrubs and bushes on the Mediterranean coast. If you love wearing earth tones and own a million plants then this is the perfect signature scent for you.

This is something on fruity accord.... Very nice combo . You can expect a lasting of almost 7-8 hours with good sillage. this is Choice for fruity perfume lovers

It smells like a mermaid. The scent is disgusting and cool at the same time. Could have been a Womanity flanker. Sea and purple fruits in a bottle. Very unique.

Fruity and aquatic, very pleasant summery scent. Not very unique though.

Beautiful, but easily cloying. Strong projection. A little goes a long way. Very potent and quite long-lasting. So if you overdo it, it will be obnoxiously cloying for many hours, probably until you wash it off. Do not concentrate it in any one spot by spraying it close to the body. It will be too much. Instead, spray it at a good distance for more of a broad light dusting. (I often layer scents and, as a heterosexual male, I don't wear this one solo. In using it in layers, I first give myself a very light dusting of it and then proceed to layer on top of that light dusting, typically with more masculine scents.) Note: I think one should not judge this one straight out of a brand new bottle. It needs to breathe a few months first. If you have a brand new bottle, give it a good six or seven good strong pumps around the room and then set it aside for, oh, maybe four months. Then it should be good to go.

This is screechy typical TT DNA. Mishmash of notes, fruity and marine, bit salty bit aquatic feel. Drydown is like a men's vintage cologne and at times I feel a strange BO coming through. Unoriginal, uninspiring. Wore it through the day and it's actually not that potent, which I find to be the case with many TTs. In Europe, they're not that sought after, you can find them at half price or less at discounters. I'd choose a basic designer scent over this anytime. PS: I also don't like the bottles at all. Very uncomfortable to hold to spray.

A jarring fruity floral aquatic with a cucumber sourness and a chemical plastic quality. It smells like a Tupperware dish that your mum packed for your lunch with sliced melon and you ate that hours ago and you just have this warm empty plastic container left that needs washing up. Sour melon chic with metallic zing.

Arethusa tricked me so darn cruelly. At first, it’s like stepping into the shade after too long in the sun—cool, sheer, almost weightless. Fruity in the way of something sliced open straight from the fridge, maybe pear, maybe a citrus that’s softened at the edges. A kind of translucent brightness, like the scent itself has a chill to it. I loved this part; I wanted to live in this part so bad. Then everything just gets better (for now)! This utterly pretty orange blossom appears, delicate but grounding, a perfect touch of warmth against all that airy fruit. The bloom doesn’t lean syrupy or overly floral—just this soft, radiant sweetness, balanced by a mineral saltiness that feels almost skin-like. Like the scent of someone you love, lingering just faintly. And then... like clockwork, the sea takes over. The vetiver digs in, earthy and damp, and the salt goes from a whisper to a crash. The freshness, the perfect clarity of the opening—it’s swallowed whole. Now, it’s briny, thick with ocean spray, like standing too close to the waves when they break. The kind of salt that stays on your skin, won’t let go. Why does everything beautiful betray me? Take me back to the beginning!!!!!

This is a blind buy that I'm not so proud of, a real shoulder shrugger, and a smell that's ubiquitously common in mall kiosk in America. There are 2 distinct things that you will notice: The messy convoluted notes and the uber synthetic quality of the fragrance. There are a lot of great ideas here but sadly, none of them are actualized. I would loved to have sniffed the combination of leather, sand, salt, plums and seawater. To the chagrin of the composition, there were no such fantasy. Instead, my imagination was swapped with a peppery floral accord plastered onto a base that favors Honey Nut Cheerios..... *The combination of words and smoke spew from my ears as I type*.....Another chapter worth noting in this book of disappointments involves the hokey usage of fruits. The fig was the only fruit detectable on a consistent basis due to the continuous milky accord. Not too often am i disappointed with a fragrance that boast 20+ notes. If a perfume could be a ReCapcha, this would be it. Arethusa went from Tiziana's New Scent to Tiziana's Nuisance. The embarrassment is appropriate.

The scent of Arethusa is like a ride on the ocean breeze. Sensuous jasmine and salty sea accord dance with sweet orange, and woody notes to form this refreshing mixture that will make you feel as though your senses are being cleansed by fresh water after each fragrance wafting off its petals. The scent of Arethusa is like a sunshine-filled day in early spring when each smell seems more refreshing than the last. It starts out light but becomes stronger near its end. This would be perfect for someone trying to find not only something new they love (like me!) but also somebody who wants their senses excited without having any harsh edges attached.

This is the second weakest Tiziana Terenzi cologne I own(after XIX March), the opening is very soft and frutal, I can’t discern the specific frutal notes with the exception of some orange and grapefruit and I really wish I could smell the leather, but overall it he scent is extremely smooth, fresh, leaning a little on the feminine side but any guy can pull this one off.

Oh wow! This is a very unique, strange fragrance. In the opening it's very aquatic, sweet and fruity at the same time. But after hours of wearing it gets more leathery deep slightly sweet, as the aquatic accord goes away. The sillage is excellent! It's very strong and long lasting. I think who likes Mugler fragrances or TF Black Orchid might like this one as well.

It's a bit interesting if you close your eyes and try to feel for all the notes. But the sum is pretty generic. A lovely scent, inoffensive, not a head-turner. But it's not a chemical-y flat thing that has nothing to offer. It's nice. It's light, it's floral with a hint of fruit, it's breezy.

I was drawn to it because I am watching the series the Witcher. Indeed super similar to Armani Idole, which I have and love. I feel this is fresher, Idole has a murkiness caused by Saffron, that fortunately lacks here. It also has a better projection. If you liked Idole, you'll love this!

Musk and fruits. This is the type of musk that reminds me of hair spray. It makes it synthetic and feminine, which I don't like. It is similar to some summer flankers of CK one to be honest (2018 for ex). Overpriced. Not for me.

-Fruity floral scent in the opening. -Dries down to this very strange note I can't put a finger on..glue? -Major disappointment from the house of Tiziana Terenzi. (-)
