Borea

Borea is exactly what I was expecting to smell like when looking at the notes listed. It’s a full on love for me! The most prominent notes from the plethora listed are coconut and almonds, tuberose and freesia, plum, jasmine, rose, vanilla and musk. It is a warm, smooth, super creamy perfume. Moderately sweet, it’s a gorgeous gourmand, tropical, fruity floral, with an addictive scent trail. Add to this a nutty/almondy/powdery facet and you have the complete picture of how Borea smells like. If there’s something to speak negatively about it’s the fact that it doesn’t smell like a niche perfume, it’s not very edgy or creative. But for what it is, it’s an amazing spring/summer perfume! The packaging and the performance of Borea tops the typical designer creations. It’s strong and long lasting with a moderate sillage. The only pet peeve I have with Tiziana Terenzi packaging is the cheap, plasticky feeling cap. Some might find the golden painted bottle a bit tacky, I don’t mind it! I have found it heavily discounted online so for the price I have paid, I can’t complain at all. I have paid less than I would have paid for a Narciso Rodriguez for instance! I would not recommend paying full retail price for this fragrance, since it’s an older release, can be obtained on discount websites for a great price! Overall, I would say Tiziana Terenzi offers great fragrances in my opinion and Borea is a good example!

I have this perfume in 100 ml size. It has a high intensity the first 2 hours and then we will have it in medium intensity. A duration of about 11 hours but it can perfectly last longer. I am a great lover of the different perfumes of the Tiziana Terenzi house, the fruit notes work in a beautiful, delicate and exceptional way. If you know Cassiopea or Andromeda, you can easily get to the idea of the fruit set that you could find here, not because it is the same, but in the use of fruits. This perfume is characterized by the use of plum, fleshy, juicy ... and coconut, tropical and exotic. These beautiful fruits are accompanied by character flowers such as tuberose or fressia, the almond gives such a delicious touch ... You could say many things about its aromas, but for me the most important thing is the personal feeling that it conveys to me. I feel extremely feminine with this perfume, an aroma that gives me sensuality and energy. It's a scent that when it's a sunny day I want to wear it. Completely delicious. Unisex? For a man? Logically the perfumes are for those who like them but if it is true that in my opinion the character, very fruity sweet of its aromas are very good on the feminine side, so the boys better try before buying blindly.

Borea is an odd duck. When I first blind bought her, I sniffed, wrote the word "meh" in my log, then forgot about this bottle for a year. It wasn't until seeing Borea listed as a "coconut" perfume in a YouTube review that I decided to try her again--she opens oddly and loudly, skewing masucline with plum, loud oak moss and what a reviewer below described as spicy "aromatics", and that fits. After a confusing start, she settles into something softer and more femme--I love the fruity coconut that sweetens to a powdery effect--it's an unusually elegant spin on coconut and jasmine. No offense to the reviewer below, but this is NOT a competitor of Bronze Goddess. I'm sorry, but they aren't even in the same league. This is BG's quirky rich aunt. And she's not really on vacation, either--she's staying at the Ritz and getting spa treatments, lol. Coconut isn't really the star--it's powder, jasmine and sweet fruits firstly. I LOVE this house. It isn't even in the same league as LV and those other overpriced designer houses. This is elegance and a point of view. Will I wear Borea every day? Maybe not, but I like this take on coconut and fruits.

The opening is a nice smooth blend of coconut, marzipan, pear and plum backed by sweet white florals. This is a fantastic white floral perfume and I find that the fruity top notes modify the florals perfectly. The florals aren't very indolic or skanky. The base notes mostly seem to stay out of the spotlight, instead lending sweetness and power to the other notes. This is a fantastic spring and summer fragrance. Definitely feminine leaning. On a test strip this does last a good amount of time, however it doesn't project very much once the topnotes fade out a bit. You get like 4 hours of decent performance and then it dials back to be more of an intimate bubble around you. I spray this on clothes to make it last as long as possible. This is generally a pretty safe and mass pleasing scent, and so maybe it'd be a good office scent due to the weaker projection.

Amazing. Got a sample as part of a discovery set, and had zero expectations. Usually I am not a fan of coconut scents, but here it has more a background role, and beautifully marries with the white florals and fruits. The airy jasmine with sweet vanilla shines in the dry down. Definitely FB worthy for me.

I blind bought this based on the notes, it was on sale, so I thought why not? It's a very creamy sweet fruit perfume. It's pleasant, nonetheless I don't find ir to be very original. I get it, it's not from the most expensive lines from Tiziana Terenzi, but I would've loved more originality. You could get the same from a designer frag or even celebrity. It's spring so it sits very close to the skin, I hope the summer heat will open it up more.

Blind bought this from perfume retailer website after reading the reviews and liking thr notes. Used this and sprayed more than my usual. But I can’t seem to smell anything. I could be nose blind . Or had a defective bottle

I collect plumerias (frangipani), and this smells like a strongly-scented white plumeria, a tad more soapy. Borea layered with vanilla would be so smooth and creamy. Lasted less than an hour on my skin.

This was completely opposite of what I thought it would be based off of the notes. I get no almond at all. Almond is usually a very distinct creamy note. I also don’t get the coconut. The coconut note may be coconut water. I get a-lot of plum and pear. This actually is a light fruity slightly musky scent. It doesn’t project at all. Maybe it will in heat. This quickly dries down into a skin scent. It’s a nice scent. I find that TT parfums need time to sit & that they get better over time.

This reminded me of Serge Luten Datura Noir, without the weird moth ball and urinal cake vibes that Datura Noir had. This is what I wanted Datura Noir to be. Love this! Not at all like Rolling in Love IMO. And wise words from reviewer below, this is often heavily discounted so do not pay full price it is not worth it. Update: Had to declutter as it did not mesh with my skin chemistry. Thought it would be better in the summer but no luck.

Save your coin; get Estée Lauder bronze goddess instead! Trust me. If you can find the one in the rose gold bottle, from 2017 I think, get that! Even the newer EDP of Bronze Goddess is money well spent. This opens up BEAUTIFULLY! But dries down soooo basic. Just the average sweet, powdery, vanillic, sandalwood. Low-key sad coz I REALLY wanted to buy it when I experienced the top notes, alas, the dry down is such a disappointment.

Thought this would be the ONE beachy summer perfume, but it opens masculine. It smells extremely sweet with some strong aromatic in there that throws the whole thing for me. I sniffed and went ooof! No, but passed my decant to my friend and it was a drug to her

Wow almost no reviews for this. I bought a large sample, but might have to come back to review again. I smell almost nothing!!! It’s a legit sample. No idea how everyone is saying it projects and lasts eternally.

After testing this for a while here are my impressions: It opens a bit weird/synthetic and is a bit of a mess if I'm being honest. The notes just don't blend together very well. It's more sweet than floral, and has a strong artificial syrup quality. The dry down after an hour is ok I guess, but very generic & unfortunately smells a bit cheap. This is definitely NOT unisex. If anything, this is as feminine as it gets... It has a Coconut/Monoi tropical feel to it, but is way too sweet compared to other tropical fragrances. I really wanted to love this, but there's something about it that just doesn't work for me.

When considering Borea by Tiziana Terenzi, my advice to those intrigued by this fragrance is to exercise a bit of patience. It opens with a burst of citrusy freshness, though this initial phase is short-lived. After a brief while, it reveals its true character - a delicate tuberose on a foundation of clean almond, infused with subtle soapy and powdery notes, and a hint of sweetness. As it gradually fades, it morphs into a skin-like scent.

This dos not last at all super weak performance diminished in an hour . I can smell if I put my nose directly on my skin, but other than that, I don’t smell anything. Was so hyped up and couldn’t wait to try this and now that I have it, I am more than disappointed. I’m done buying fragrances unless I can smell & test in person. Some YouTube influencers be hyping stuff up and it’s annoying 🤦🏽♀️

Looking at the other reviews, it seems I have a totally different experience from others. This sits really heavy on me. It smells pleasant enough initially but I cannot get over how stifling it is. And does it last! I had a change of clothes and a shower and I can still smell it. I did get a full tester bottle so perhaps that's what it is.

Very powdery. Reminds me of Rolling in Love. More perfumey and powdery than fruity or tropical. What ever is in these two fragrances other people are smelling I don’t smell. They don’t smell sweet to me. Instead sort of chalky and dusty and old fashioned.

I gave Borea two tries and she was a big flop. I may be a little biased because I'm starting to think Tiziana Terenzi as a perfume house isn't for me. The DNA is kind of loud & gawdy for me, personally. Borea is beyond screechy. There is not a single element of smoothness here.. She's very loud and in your face. As she dries down she gets very soapy, smells like a cheap drug store perfume. Worst than Calgon quality. It's so soapy that if I take a big whiff it chokes me out. It's almost like a menthol effect ugh, I hate it. It's far & few between when a perfume gives me a headache (I can only count on one hand)..and this is one of them. I don't get the comparisons to Hypnotic Poison or Datura Noir. HP maybe just the initial blast, but that's it.

If you find Borea at a good price - I'd say I do recommend it for a blind buy. And I like it for what it is: not because it engulfs your senses on every level (like Chimaera or Kirke for example), but because of the lovely feminine summer scent it is (minutes 10-15 after spraying is heaven). I have not much else to add to its praises and also the fact that it's not very original. Instead, I'll add my two cents by sharing my personal experience with it: On occasions, I love layering it with Kilian Playing with the Devil, because the gorgeous top fruity notes of Borea disappear all too soon and all which is left is a wonderful powdery drydown, similar to Jil Sander's Poudre Intense, which is like a cuddly but elegant wintertime Borea, due to the added fluffy cocoa powder, without Borea's fruity top. On its own, 1 spray of Borea on skin, lasts ~40 minutes and then the drydown goes for about 1-2 hours more and that's it. On clothes the fruity notes disappear more gradually, but again we reach the drydown within an hour and although it doesn't project, it's there and lingers for hours, very quietly. I tried overspraying to ensure longer opening stage, but it wasn't of much help - only the drydown got denser and if I wanted to have that part longer, I'd just go with Poudre Intense instead, as I do in colder weather. In the warm months, however, I really want those fruity notes, because it's rare for me to like fruity perfumes. So, once I do like - I want to enjoy them, and longer if possible. A tiny drop of Playing with the Devil helps with that part, but also slightly muffles some of the lovely airy aromachemicals in Borea and the oakmoss .. just a bit, but I'm ok with that (@connyblack - this is that subtle "expensive hair salon smell"). It's lovely and sunny and cheerful and airy with a splash of sophistication - it doesn't tire me and I can change into another scent in the evening. Overall Borea is a beauty which I find gorgeous for daily wear for the office, because it doesn't project as crazy as some of the other TT creations, while offering this slightly intoxicating hint - all contained in your own bubble. I also enjoyed sleeping in it in the heat (without layering it) because its transformation in the opening stage lasts me just about right before I drift away... A side note for those of you, who like me love the powdery element in Borea: My Name Trusardi Goccia and Alien Mirage interact with each other in a way that does it for me. Obviously, that's no attempt to recreate Borea, but solely to indulge in the same sort of powder you find in it. Try it - I hope you like it too. Update: I've been wearing it this whole summer and it's amazing!!! So classy and refined. I agree with Narciso Ambree comparison, which is way more ambery and musky, and although it's powdery too, next to Borea, it feels more syrupy. Since Borea blends with your skin, you may think it's a skinscent at some point, but it's not - people can still feel it. However, for an extra kick, whenever I felt like wearing my Alien Fusion, but I wanted it to feel it more complex and add class to it, I simply wore Borea in the day and then switch to (layer with) Alien Fusion in the evenings. This combo got me many compliments, and I rarely write or care that much about them. And mind it - I haven't received as many compliments wearing just Alien Fusion, or just Borea, or when I chase with Playing with the Devil by Kilian. Borea was a blind buy and it quickly climbed the chart of my favorite perfumes. When I wear it, I notice that I do. I like it when my perfume is attracting my attention and plays with my senses, without tiring me. With regards to the competition in perfume industry, may people feel they offer dupes of popular perfumes and charge crazy prices for that, but unlike many other houses which do the same more or less, this house operates under the objective "whatever you do, we can do better". And it is better. The artistry and the attention to detail in the compositions are noticeable. If you can't tell, you should move to those other houses, which charge you the same, but don't offer you the same quality inside the bottle.

I tried Temptatio, Cassiopeia, Afrodite, Draco, Libra, Lince, Tabbit, and Borea. My favorites are Temptatio (FB) Cassiopeia (FB), and Borea. I also like Draco but not as much as I like Borea. Borea is sweet, fruity, balanced, and overall a very nice scent by TT. It starts out very perfumey-almost reminds me of a scent from the 80's or 90's (Giorgio Beverly Hills?) Then the individual notes come out. I smell coconut, fruits, something floral (def Jasmine), then a lovely vanilla, musk, sandalwood base. The scent is oily, I can see the oils glistening on my skin, so be aware when using extraits on clothing. It's definitely a safe blind buy and I wouldn't categorize it as a white floral. The almond note gives it a creaminess. The silage is very nice. It's ok to over-spray this one. Definitely feminine and not unisex. Definitely could be someone's everyday scent or signature sent, however, it smells a bit too generic to be a good defining signature scent. It smells good, like a really good high-end hair care fragrance. This is sweet but also sexy. Date night worthy and I think anyone's partner would enjoy smelling this on them. This will most likely be my next TT purchase. It's smooth, it's warm, it's sweet but like all TT scent's, never cloying. Even with all those facets it continues to have these sparkly notes that keep the scent bright and light. This is what an Italian Princess would smell like. I was wanting one of the white bottles to go with my Cassiopeia bottle but oh well. The only other fruity scent of TT I haven't smelled is Andromeda so I can't compare it with anything. Afrodite was very green and a pass for me. But Borea, she gets the green light from me and is definitely FB worthy. I picture myself bathing in this and would love to have this in a body wash and body lotion. It's fruity floral but high end and for grown women who love this scent profile but still want to smell sophisticated and have more refined taste. You can still love fruity-florals but also have refined taste and this scent proves it!

I don't usually leave reviews, but there weren't many on this fragrance making it hard to decide whether to buy it or not. I hesitantly blind bought this. I have 2 others from this house, Cassiopea which I love and Kirke which at first I hated, now I still don't love it but if I layer with something with a lot of vanilla it smooths it out and it's not bad. When you first spray Borea I definitely get that masculine opening, kind of an old school masculine fragrance, after about a minute or 2 that dissappears and I really get a dry soapy coconut and almond... and then after about 30 minutes in is when I get the smoother well rounded white floral/powdery scent. I definitely can get the expensive shampoo / high end salon smell reference. It's not a young fruity teenage shampoo smell it's definitely more elevated than that. There's also a bit of a vintage vibe to it, but not in that sharp grandma scent either it's smoother. It's a lot smoother and way less loud than Kirke and a little bit bolder and more perfumy than Cassiopeia. The longer I have it on the more I'm enjoying it and find it has a nice scent bubble. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and it's a scent I'll definitely enjoy wearing. I don't know if it's just the one I received but I don't find the cap stays on very secure which isn't an issue with my other 2 in the same bottle style.

My journey with TT's fragrances has been a challenging one! I tried Kirke first. I bought a tester months ago. It just smelled like diesel fuel/very green, no matter how long I waited to come back to it! So then I tried Tibet. When I tried Tibet, I got the same odor! At that point, I was like....hold up, something's not right here. They can't both smell exactly alike. That's when I realized that while one or two sprays is sufficient to smell most fragrances, that is NOT the case for TT's fragrances. I have to spray at LEAST three, but more like five, sprays to get the actual scent profile! What a relief! I could FINALLY smell something more than sharp, pungent, oily/dielsel GREEN. Now. That said. While that was a breakthrough, and I could finally smell what Kirke and Tibet were meant to portray, they both still dried down green on me and are still a no. So I think TT florals just aren't going to work for me. BUT. Borea. Borea is the FIRST TT fragrance that hasn't given me ANY green! It's a beautiful, smooth almond-coconut-jasmine-vanilla scent (for me, in that order), and I love it!

Fresh, fruity, and floral. I love the opening, but the dry down is a bit more subtle. I wouldn't say this is super creative or trying to reinvent the wheel. For the price point it does not make sense to me but if we're judging the scent based just on the smell, I enjoy this. It's a like, but not a love. Even if it was much cheaper, I don't think I have the space in my collection for something so uncreative, but I do admire the Tiziana Terenzi brand consistency of pretty fruity florals.

Tiziana Terenzi does what Pierre Montale does. It's all the same super loud craziness. These perfumes do give compliments, but they are hardly sophisticated. Maybe that it the point. I see Cardi B wearing this and sadly it is not a compliment. Today I am wearing Nomade edp by Chloe who isn't a shy lady by any means. But in comparison to Borea she smiles sweetly with a great depth. I am over Terenzi. Glad to be since they are SO overpriced.

This one is good, even though it lists the horrendous musk PT uses, thankfully I don't smell it and I get to actually enjoy the lovely coconut note here. @Allthingssparkle What you're smelling as green is the dreaded TT musk. I suppose it comes out as a green note for you, for me it's earthy and animalic, sour & bitter. It's absolutely dreadful.

Complete disappointment. This does not project at all. I can barely smell it on a card or on skin. You might as well get Marc Jacobs' Perfect Intense for a fruity almond fragrance for a better performance at a lower price point. Cassiopeia was decent but this one is just a no and I'll be returning my order.

Borea takes on the style of Bond No. 9 New York Flowers, but more plum forward instead of iris powdery. Will update on longevity after a couple of wears. For those that like fruity floral, this is safe to blind buy.

What is this !?? The notes look magical and all I'm smelling is some cheap scent that is gone in less than an hour! Absolutely 1/10 ... so generic - even designers are better than this.
