Borelli

This is my first fragrance from Tiziana Terenzi, and I was a little nervous, due to the price - and the fact that I couldn’t find many reviews... But I’ve gone far down the rabbit hole in my ongoing quest for clean and comforting fragrances, and somehow it led me to this gem. As others have mentioned, the aesthetic of the bottle doesn’t give “clean, soapy” vibes - but it is an absolutely stunning bottle - and the presentation! It arrives in large labelled box, with magnetic closures at each edge, which allow the four sides to open like a flower, revealing a gorgeous velvet case - in red to match the bottle - with an ornate gold insignia, the same as the one on the bottle. So much attention to detail, and craftsmanship. The fragrance itself is lovely. The aldehydes are very present without any sharpness, there is a moderate sweetness, the florals are smooth and rounded - with the Frangipani and Lily of the Valley most prominent to my nose, giving a clean yet gentle soapiness with a tropical air. It’s full and dense, without being heavy or cloying - and the woody base is blended beautifully. I don’t write many reviews here, but I wanted to put this out there for anyone like me, who was looking for a bit more info. I’m glad I took the risk on this one, and I’ll definitely be looking into more from this brand ❤️

This perfume is very similar to Byredo Blanche, but it's a little sweeter and has a beautiful frangipani note that Blanche doesn't have. They share the same clean and fresh DNA, but this fragrance takes it in a warmer, more floral direction. The frangipani is what really sets it apart and adds a creamy, slightly tropical sweetness, giving the scent more depth while still preserving that crisp, fresh-laundry feeling. The bright red color doesn't match the scent at all an it feels much more like a soft yellow or white fragrance. If you love Byredo Blanche, you'll almost certainly love this one too. They have the same clean, airy vibe, but this feels like its softer, sweeter sister. Both have a very similar character, but each has its own personality. Blanche is the more minimalist, crisp, and understated sister, while this one is warmer, creamier, and more floral. If you've ever wished Blanche had just a touch more sweetness and a beautiful frangipani note, this fragrance is definitely worth trying.

For me, Borelli is a smoother, more refined version of Byredo Blanche. The brand has softened the plumeria in the top note to curb Borelli's initial sharpness, which makes the scent more beautiful than Byredo Blanche. The aldehydes are handled very delicately; I actually prefer Borelli's approach to aldehydes over Le Labo Another 13. It's a clean, pristine scent, like stepping out of a bubble bath filled with soap bubbles and many white petals. The musk is gentle and alluring, creating a clean, dewy fragrance suitable for both men and women. It's a versatile, luxurious scent with incredible longevity and sillage, addressing all the shortcomings of Byredo Blanche. To me, Borelli is like the Extrait version of Byredo Blanche—it's wonderful and perfect for any occasion.

I find this to be both sensual, nostalgic, and also sparkling at the same time. It is very smooth and somewhat mellow. I get mainly frangipani flower, violet and lily of the valley, but they blend so wellI - seriously, at first I get the scent of a freshly opened jar of Welch’s Grape Jelly! Not kidding. I think this will be good as a crossover fresh scent for fall. It is versatile. It should work all year round. I will work with this to see if evening wear is appropriate. The feeling of this.....sensual in a comforting way and quiet self- confidence. Warm sunny breeze floats by. I think you have to be very comfortable in one’s skin to pull this off.

Borelli is way better than Blanche. It's offering better price and performance. This product is relatively unknown and underrated.
