Cabiria

The note profile says this is a green, fruity perfume and while there is a hint of green, I really don’t agree with that description. Frankly I don’t know what to describe this as, complex potpourri? Oppressive flowers? In my crippling addiction, ahem, fragrance journey, I have had the opportunity to sample and buy over 800 different fragrances over the years. This all started with the search for what I hoped would be “the one”. The perfume I would call my signature fragrance. As many of you are probably aware, when you chase the dragon you never find it and always look for what else is around the corner. This is true for me too, but I will say that this one comes closer than anything yet I’ve tried. This fragrance is a complete masterpiece. One that meshes its ingredients so masterfully, that it’s frankly difficult to pick a solitary note out of the lineup. I hesitate to say that this is green leaning, only because I typically despise green, vegetal notes in fragrances. Cabiria to me is a complex floral blend that is so much more complex and deep than a bouquet of something. The base notes lend to this complexity so that it is farther removed from typical white flowers or linear rose. This fragrance I lovingly refer to as oppressive. It’s a powerhouse and one that does NOT need multiple sprays to nurture its sillage. I can spray it twice and smell it across the house. And when you do spray it on something you’ll smell it the next day. Honestly, I’ve had it linger on clothes after being washed. If that sounds like too much for you, then it is. Make no mistake it’s a BEAST, and also one of the reasons I love it. If I’m gonna blow 500$ on a bottle, that stuff better announce my presence and open the door for me. This fragrance is so strong you have to actively try NOT to assault the noses of people around you. I have not found a Tiziana Terenzi fragrance that wasn’t a winner, and IMO this is top tier, top notch. One of the best I own and one I hope to keep in my collection Indefinitely.

This is one of my favorites from the house of TT. This is NOT Kirke, Erba Pura, or Stricnina. Not even close. This is a beautiful slightly green, slightly powdery rose with a little fruit and a woody base.. It's an absolute beast and a powerhouse. Not for the faint of heart.

Went to Neiman's and sampled this. This is beautiful and I thought this smelled familiar. Kept smelling this and could stop, it's that good. Checked fragrantica and this is very very similar to Idole the original. This is really good. Now I will reach for my idole more.

My skin automatically emphasizes the woods in this one, but it's nit a bad thing. This is (on me) a perfect cold weather scent.

It reminds me of Kirke but there is a note in it that bothers me, I can't identify which one, but it is a pleasant perfume.

Amazing scent, used for couple days. Leans too feminine for my taste. Gave it to my girlfriend. Scent: 8/10

not bad. definitely overpriced - but the performance is absolutely insane. couple sprays are enough as it has beast mode performance. the scent dna is not the best in my opinion but this is a very versatile fragrance as you can use it during the day in the night, even to clubs. this is a compliment getter for me too. i am having a good time but the only major problem is the pricing. i still think this is an underrated fragrance

I was hoping for more of a grassy nuance but it’s just an overly fruity and musky concoction.

There may be some calone in the base. Fruity and floral in a way I dislike.

Tiziana Terenzi fragrances seem to read super powdery on me for some reason. And I really dislike powdery fragrances. Cabiria starts with a blast of powder that fortunately disappears after about 15 minutes. All I’m left with though is the ambergris and rose and it’s honestly pretty generic and boring. Eventually it dries down to a very woody scent that lasts foreverrrrrrr. It’s been 14 hours since I sprayed this on the inside of my elbow, and I can still smell it, despite an attempt to wash it off. Genuinely impressed by the performance, even if the scent isn’t for me.

First impression: (sample) This smells like creed adventus for her or L'Aventure Femme Al Haramain Perfumes to me. It has that same dna on my skin chemistry. Very rosy musky pencil shavings. As for me I’m not a fan of that scent profile.

Roaming down in lane, I came across a mid-aged boy smelling so beautiful. He smelled floral but that was not typical feminine kind of scent, rather the musk and woods also felt in the flowers that he was wearing. I unknowingly kept following him for some time and got back in my senses only when he asked me why I was following him. Lol! I was shit scared on this confrontation but then I blabbered, OMG you smelled so nice that unknowingly and unintentionally I kept coming behind you. I am really sorry but would you mind telling me what are you wearing? He immediately said “Cabiria” from the house of Tiziana Terenzi. And now I had it on my shelf without actually testing on my skin. First application and Opening notes in this beautiful scent were fruity and green with the melon, green apple, mint, cassis, grass and pear. Then the heart contained sambac, jasmine, Bulgarian rose, heliotrope and ambergris. Dry down is so much of vanilla with some of cedar, musk and birch. I am really happy with this beautiful fragrance. Totally in love with it. Highly recommended!!

When this dried down it turned into kirke. Just get kirke, it's much cheaper. Or go the other direction and get the real thing. Erba pura. This house makes a lot of dupes and just calls them "interpretations". Cabiria is an interpretation of kirke which is an interpretation of erba pura. $300 for a dupe of a dupe? Save your money. I'd also like to add that although the box is fancy and has a little light, the bottle isn't so much. The cap is lightweight plastic and feels cheap. A step backwards for the house.

One spray is all you need. Beast mode, possibly nuclear & projection is a couple feet all day. Opens very fem. More fruity with woman florals & a slight musk, I get no green. Id say this is purely a feminine fragrance through and through, rather than unisex. Regardless, it’s a basic DNA, but very potent & good at what it does. Awesome packaging too

I just got my first TT fragrance and in the booklet, it has Cabiria & Dionisio with the exact same notes. Completely. I came here to see which one was correct. I wonder if all the booklets have this error. I was just going down the list checking off what I think I may like next and that caught my attention. Interesting lol.

Amazing Tiziana, first spritz-mustard minty cool juicy apple fresh juicy fruit, in its opening the perfume becomes a stylish in preponderance feminine classic with a light agar teasing that comes from the birch perhaps, extremely impressive aroma, complimentary, mysterious cool opening aroma, respectable perfume!

@sunflower711 same and same! Just curious, was your first TT fragrance with this booklet error kirke? Because mine was. I was so confused at first because I missed dionisio and read this first and then checked the notes here and they were quite different! But now I see why.

Wonderful fragrance! This is not very sweet and one of the best fruity floral fragrances in town. I really like the woody mint scent I feel after two hours of spraying, suitable for fall and winters!

@Dirtyhood don’t you think Erba Pura is a dupe of Kirke considering Kirke hit the market first?

First thing I thought about when I smelled this was valaya, yuck too sharp not my vibe
