Caput Mundi

I have several fragrances from TT and this is one is a really nice one. Definitely masculine leaning and not a typical rose/oud combo (at least any of the other ones I've smelled). I agree with the note pyramid votes. The rose sits more in the back and I get more woods and a saffron/ambergris mix that I find intriguing. Edit: After giving this a lot of wear I've found the rose more prominent than I first thought. It's deep and dark and melds into the blend well. It's a much richer rose than I'm used to. It's in no way feminine or "old" smelling. I've gotten a lot of compliments with it so far. I think it's a great under the radar scent if you like slightly challenging scents. You'll definitely stand out. 35 yo + imo.

Oud, oud and oud...and um...some rose and stuff ;-) Fragrantica’s note breakdown seems accurate. Masculine. Velvety smooth. Rich. Barbershop fougere elements. Like other Tiziana Terenzi fragrances, such as Ursa, it’s a masterpiece. It’s hard to wrap my mind around how Paolo can take so many notes and combine them into such magically harmonious compositions. Wifey doesn’t care for it because it’s too masculine for her nose. I love it though. Suppose I won’t be wearing this on our date nights.

This is a patchouli bomb. A beautiful patchouli bomb. Stays forever, for a whole day, and just keeps on developing. Starts off with a whole lot of patchouli. Then it gets more sweet, flowery, patchouli. And then it gets more animalic patchouli. Beautiful. Really liked it

beautiful but another inspired fragrance from terenzi.But this time inspired from rare and less known Emirati brand Khas OuD ashab al sadaa. less oudy opening than the original but completely same drydown.

this is magic. includes great natural Cambodian oud but overall smell is still fresh almost aquatic floral... wow !!! impressive flavor of blend ...bravo paolo !!!

Ambergris, oud, saffron, rose, oddly, together it smells like a fresh green apple Reminded me of Armaf Beau Acute for some reason

A beautiful field of black pepper, strong leather, a hint of saffron and rose. It's a piece worth looking into, especially because of its boldness. Tried it on my skin, the smell is only aggressive in the beginning, but the dry down was delicate and very pleasant - on my skin, at least. I really like it, surprisingly, considering that I don't usually wear peppery fragrances - but this one might be a very pleasant addition. Not a safe blind buy at all. It's giving black-tie-event vibes. Very elegant. The type of fragrance you'd wear at an awards gala, cold evening, with a glass of wine of your choice, enjoying a Marlboro red cigarette.

I had great expectations for this perfume, it was a bit of a disappointment in terms of fragrance beauty. Bulgarian rose, light saffron, patchouli, synthetic ambergris and a sweet Cambodian oud.But oddly enough, it didn't interest me. Many users find this perfume close to Emanuel Ungaro Ungaro pour L'Homme III. Considering that the aforementioned perfume was launched in 1993, this Ungaro intrigued me more. It is surprising that there was even such a perfume in those years. I hope I have a chance to try Ungaro as well. Caput Mundi's performance is very good, lasts 12+ and projects very well 3-4 hours.

I so much wanted to love Caput Mundi but sadly the drydown was too much for me. On opening it smells fantastic, Oudy and woody enough to make me fall in love but sadly I can't get passed the drydown and I can't figure out what ingredient is the one i can't tolerate. Is it the Saffron? The Ambergris? Orris? I don't know, all I know is that i wanted to love it. My personal collection is mostly Ouds. The sillage and longevity are eternal, one tiny spray is all you need.

Rosy black pepper becomes spicy and earthy oud as the rose takes a backseat. Becomes green, there's a nice freshness running through it as well. Perfect for autumn & winter, doesn't project loudly but does stick with you for most of the day.

Update: After another spray, I am getting more complexity...hmmm, I might need to get back to this after a few days as I just got the box... could this actually be a masterpiece? First impression: Paolo, Paolo, you find the greatest names for your creations, marketing at its best. Quite the opposite for the creations thou. This a more synthetic version of Telegrama by Imaginary Authors with a little bit of an accord from SL's Baptême du Feu. The spicy metallic underarm spray version. God, why did I blind buy this???

It smells like vomit, or like a new Formica chemical paint. Really screams and gives me a headache. Friends, I recommend in this case to listen to the rating and not make the mistake I made when I bought it blind based on the reviews on this page. This is a terrible perfume! Edit: The dry-down is a little better, but also get weaker and skin-scent.

A strong fresh bulgarian rose (the main player), with a support of bitter oakmoss, patchouli and sharp florals (lavender and geranium). giving nearly an impression of green tobacco. Possibly a little bit saffron. That is what I get. Somewhat reminiscent of GFF Uomo, Lauder for Men and Ungaro III for Men (who voted that is spot-on, I confirm!) Oud? one must have a lot of imagination to smell any (or read the note pyramid). Ambergris? Possibly a pinch of ambroxan in the base, but that's definitely not a major player here and not sure how one could smell that under the sharp florals. Iris? Uh? Nice, even if the pyramid is misleading imo. Definitely not the magnum opus of Terenzi, and forgettable, afterall. Fresh days, 35+ Edit: very screechy. Gave me a headache, had to scrub it off.

This reminds me of when you smell wood that has been freshly cut. That aromatic, kind of fresh and crisp smell. The flowers in the top add a sweetness to that smell, and it almost becomes kind of aquatic in a way. It also reminds me of this really nice hair dye I once found that was very floral and incensy. To me, this is one of those scent that you keep smelling over and over because you're not sure if you like it or not. It's (so far) not too Oudy or too woody. This is an intriguing one, and definitely worth a try.

my favorite Terenzi fragrance. this is potent, 3 days later this was still going beast mode on my suit. this is definitely not a blind buy, I had to wait a full 6 months before I tried it after my first impression and it was so much better. and im surprised there aren't animal notes in this fragrance on here, there is definitely some in here. edit: not my fav anymore, i have to hand that title to spirito florentino

Looking at the notes in this, I wouldn’t expect it to be sweet, but testing it on my skin it does come off sweet. To me this smells like black walnuts in some kind of sweet syrup. I have no idea what note gives this a nuttiness. I’m not 100% sure about this scent yet, my husband doesn’t like it. I will wear it for awhile and see how it goes in the deep dry down.

To me this smells like a Kashmir shawl, that has been kept in an wardrobe for a few months. It smells pretty fresh upfront/flowey and has a certain sweet pungent smell with dusty qualities. I guess I am anosmic to strong ouds or leather.

Oooof. Not a good blind buy. The initial whiff reminds me of a field of black pepper. After 10-20min, the peppery smell dissipates, but the dry down just resembles an old grandma perfume.. will be returning this. Not for me.

It will be appreciated if someone bring its own creation in market but you are just getting the stuff from here and there and labeling your own name. This is 100 percent same fragrance of Ajmal mizyan oil. Shame

As a huge fan of Bulgarian Rose Absolute blended with Ouds and Patchoulis, this is definitely something I want given its Woody Oriental and Chypré character! Wrapping my head around this already...

It's so hard to take a brand seriously when they release a fragrance every other month. Jeez! How about we put some thought into a release?! Slow down Paolo!

What is wrong with sillage? is it really that much? anybody teseted ?
