Dorade (Harrods Exclusive)

This has really grown on me after wearing a few times now. As somebody who usually gravitates towards woody / oud scents. This is a nice addition to my collection when I want something thats fresh and bit lighter. I've been wearing it into the spring time here in the UK during the day to work - but this can easily translate into the evening too and even colder seasons. I do agree with some of the the other comments about it being a bit generic. But it seems well blended and very pleasant. This is my second perfume from the house of Tiziana Terenzi - I adore Ursa!

This may feel mean, but I'm trying this as someone who knows not much about the brand, I can see the vision, the sillage is okay, but I feel I may be going noseblind, if I'd spent £500 on this I'd have regrets. I'm going to hop in here as someone who recently tried dorade, it does have a fresh quality to it, but I think that is the magic of it, opens fresh, after a while it turns into a creamy floral and finishes with smokey woods and ambergris It's like you went on a boat with your husband who'd just sprayed Versace Dylan blue, until you drown yourself in eden Roc later while your boat burns at the destined shore, interesting, but could be a lot more for the price and theme. It's a multifaceted mineralic blue in the opening, and transforms into a very subtle slightly sweet fresh fragrance with a touch, and I say that generously, of jasmine water. Needs more substance in the mid and base, but opens strong. Scent: 6/10 Longevity: 6/10 Price: 1/10 Bottles pretty tho 🤷 Updating my review, scent is a 9/10 Longevity 10/10 Price is still horrific, 3/10 Turns into a creamy woody jasmine water scent once the freshness has died down

This is nice, if not my usual kind of scent. A herbal, quite bracing lemon and eucalyptus fragrance. I definitely understand the marine/sailing inspiration behind it. The performance is great, but so it should be for £500. It lasts a good while and it can clearly be smelled on me when I walk in after spraying - or so I’m told. I got this in the Harrods fragrance advent calendar, to be clear - I would never drop this cash on this scent. The review below mine which mentions that if this were a Zara or high street scent it would be likeable is right, but I would go further to say that it would probably have a lukewarm reception and then be forgotten. What I don’t enjoy is the arrogance of a brand to think that their scented water is worth half.a.grand, but someone out there must be paying it. It just won’t ever be me.

Extremely basic fresh fruity aquatic/aromatic fragrance. Generic and mass appealing, if this was £20 it would be seen as an excellent daily driver fragrance to have. Definitely can detect a good touch of Invictus/Hawas DNA in there. The listed notes are straight up cap. I am not claiming to have a perfumers nose but by no means is this a complex fragrance. Smells lovely though, I even get a touch of coconut or something slightly tropical/salty. Well blended but not groundbreaking at all. Performance is poor, sits very close to the skin. Truly a perfect example and lesson on ''expensive ain't always better''. It's not the houses that should be ashamed of themselves for extortion through exclusivity and status, it's the consumers who fall for for such ridiculous schemes.

I find it to be an extremely overpriced, safe, generic office and gym fragrance. There is absolutlely no story to tell, the scent doesn't make me feel anything, no sparks, sadly. It isn't a horrible fragrance by any means, it's perfectly wearable and pleasant but not worth the retail price. If it was from an affordable designer or Zara for £30, this would be deemed as a perfectly reasonable and likeable fragrance. 5/10 - generic 'cheapie'

I got this in the Harrods advent calendar and wasn’t expecting much from it but was pleasantly surprised. It’s a nice, fresh, unisex fragrance which works well in warm weather and lasted on my skin for around five hours. I wouldn’t pay full price for it but it’s certainly pleasant, wearable and a bit different from any other fragrance I own.

Nothing to blow your socks off but not as bad as the reviews and hate it received. Generic but decent. I quite enjoy it as a dumb reach. Happy enough with the 50ml not worth selling on so will just keep it as a dumb reach as almost everyone who got this as a part of the harrods calendar.

I don’t know why the review for this is so bad?? It’s a really nice herbal, woody unisex fragrance. Has a little citrus type freshness to it, moderate longevity and not as scary as the notes indicate at all! If you can find it on sale it’s worth grabbing.

The notes on this are extremely scary lol. Ultimately in the air this really smells like it could be part of the Le Beau collection. Nice, summer vibes, unisex. No coconut or solar notes listed but that’s what I get.

I received a bottle of this in the Harrods fragrance advent calendar 2025 ans I’m not gonna lie I’m disappointed that they changed the bottle for the calendar for one that doesn’t have a sea star because to be totally honest I’d want the bottle on my collection for that alone. Do I want all the presentation palava of the box full of mouldy seawater etc? I could love without it but darn I wanted my sea star fragrance lid. Oh well. Moving on to the fragrance itself it’s a lovely scent for the summer but nothing groundbreaking, I preferred last years offering. But things also non offensive and mass appealing and unisex - if slightly feminine leaning to my nose ideal for the warmer months and lasts a few hours. Happy to have this in my collection but I wouldn’t pay full price for it.

I tried Dorade by Tiziana Terenzi as part of The Harrods 12 Days of Fragrance Advent Calendar and,vwow, what a letdown. For a Harrods exclusive, Dorade is shockingly basic. It is fresh, woody, and about as exciting as a scented office air freshener. The retail price? Absolutely absurd for something this forgettable. Honestly, if you blind-bought this expecting luxury, you’d feel robbed. Also, I find it to be a very weak preforming fragrance. I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who has actually paid full retail for this. Dorade smells fine, but not remotely worthy of its price tag or to be a Harrods exclusive. I rate it 6/10.

I’m perfectly happy with this if not blown away. Sweet woods, develops into a creamy laconic scent on the skin. My partner really likes this and to me it reminds me of a slightly more feminine PDM Percival. Suitable for day or evening if you’re looking for a clean inoffensive fragrance. Not worth full retail but can understand why someone would gravitate to it if in their collection. I got a bottle in this years Harrods calendar and unlikely to be trying anything else from the brand anytime soon based on it being just ok.

Smells like a generic Avon catalogue fragrance, it’s just fine. Way over priced though

So, I only tried this one time as a sample. I sprayed the whole sample. Scent profile is OK, just like any other blue fragrance, this is not unique. Projection I dont think I really got anything after the first two hours, the first two maybe a I could smell myself if I tried. Other than that it doesnt project. On clothing it didn't last very long, but I did iron the sweater I wore that day after like two days and smelled some of the fragrance (might be other fragrances aswell ad I think I might have sprayed some after i stopped smelling this) overall it is not bad, but I don't think I'll buy

Completely agree with @AhmedElbahja95. If you can find it for cheap then it's good if you're into fragrances such as the above listed and a multitude of other fragrances. It's an OK fragrance but not something I'd wear and very much regret this blind buy from 'someone's calender'. Harrod's chosing or accepting this as an exclusive just goes to show that if associated with big names, dirt will sell at the rate of gold. Sometimes you have to believe the reviews!

Nice, fresh scent with woods in the base. There is something really nice in it that uplifts the fragrance. Bit harsh for me, just a little though, I think this is either the eucalyptus or woods.
