Ecstasy

Premise : I am not a professionist of the industry but what I search in a perfume is not to recognize the notes of the pyramid, just because I want to wear a fragrance and not necessarily a note. Now this perfume is an experience and no fucky "walk in the forest, campfire, conifers blabla bullshit".It took almost a year to me to review this, months of training my nose. To me the main notes are violet and rose which are omnnipresent. At first spry you get violet covered by fresh black spruce and rocky accord which to me it's not petrichor but its a very mineral flavour almost salty together with pine trees which to my nose it becomes almost plastic, synthetic molecules. Truly otherworldly! The effect is a whirlwind where all the notes come by and show themselves having in the centre the violet and rose.The wind I am talking is brought mainly by the incense which supports every ingredient. Then magic, the winds slows down and everything starts to sit on a forest accord (not soil tincture) led by patchouli, tonka, woods and amber almost sweet but calibrated by patchouli so it doesn't go any gourmand! I actually met Tiziana Terenzi when I bought this and the whole conception of this comes from their tradition, three generations of candle makers (which is where maybe people get the hint of candle) her grandfather was one of the leading minds who found the chemical balance between wax and oil to make scented candles and he also distilled his ingredients. they actually have 60 year old oud in their perfumes! And here it comes the other part: the reason why I can't pick the notes listed or in fact the reason why they are so difficoult to pick is because the choose them so specifically around the world and they might not be the mainstream species of plants and musks you would expect. here is why they made this black line focused on fire. This is trascendental and wearability is over the top! nothing weird, pure fragrance made to use and not to collect. Not to mention the fact that is extrait de parfum so sillage is monster and projection contained not to disturb but the be present. I bow to this and hope people would pay more attention to it and to the wide spectrum of fragrances Tiziana Terenzi has.

I promise to do a full review, but at this moment--these first initial hours of Ecstacy radiation--Oh Heavens! they are just that. Tiziana named this fragrance perfectly, because I want to curl into my own body and inhale myself in a constant state of ecstasy. Acceptable social norms are the only things barring me from doing just that; and I am just holding on to my "acceptability" because I have always been more of a wild one, tbut Tiziana's Ecstacy is that girl in a small town who is Quite the Individual. Whispered about as she sways down the street, hips curving at each step in glorious rhythm: the single men can't figure out why she keeps turning them down for dates, the women are envious because those guys keep asking her and she has the nerve to rub it in their faces as she says no....but those gals all secretly want to be her with her red lipstick and curls and all that damn sensuality...and she smells like earth and humanity and sex and yet...she'll keep that blouse unbuttoned Seth at low even when she walks into her Catholic Church! and she smells like earth and humanity and sex and sanctity...because you can lust after her all you want, and Lord knows you will, but she's on her Holier-Than-Thou pedestal with curls of blessed incense curling into the air above her red hair and all that Raw & Wanting has been Sanctified, made Holy, and is Untouchable for the masses. Now this is a perfume whose identity I want to try on like a Mardi Gras masque and wear to every Naturalist party I can sneak into (or key party--but I'm not driving--I'd walk there of my own accord so I can leave wheneverI want and leave all those poor aging, lusting folks with their tongues hanging out, unsatisfied. Just like Ecstasy would want me too: you should get them panting & filled with desire &, well, Ecstacy, but always leave them wanting more. To remember you by. It's your signature trail.

Ozellikle ilk yarim saat boyunca feminen bir usluba yaklasiyor. En basta da soyledigim gibi, parfum meraklilarinin mutlaka kolleksiyonlarinda olmasi gereken bir parfum.

As someone who owns and loves both Frederic Malle "Potrait of a Lady" and By Kilian "Incense Oud," TT's Ecstasy Perfume is reminiscent of both. Landing a bit less oily, resinous & heavy than Incense Oud, or POAL, if blindfolded I would have a difficult time differentiating between the above mentioned fragrances and TT's Ecstasy. Opening with pleasant green notes of balsam, pine & spruce, the opening recedes rather quickly as beautiful notes of cool stone powder, incense & patchouli emerge. The mid-notes beautifully blend with the opening notes, as rose & violet floral notes waft and rise with a calming, gentle smokiness. While less incense intense and a bit smoother actually that Incense Oud (I imagine due to the absence of oud, real or otherwise), Ecstasy lands with a lovely sandalwood, amber, tonka and old wood base. The fragrance is creamy, smooth and very feminine. The dry down exhibits lots of incense, rose and wood...it's nice. Not much more to say about this one. It is a beauty. I'd say silage is a bit less than By Kilian Incense Oud and definitely less so than POAL. Longevity is good. Value is pretty good given the high quality of this fragrance, especially when compared to other main competitors. If you are a fan of dark, heavy-ish, resinous, dramatic rose-incense-wood fragrances, I say go ahead and give Tiziana Terenzi "Ecstasy" a try.

This perfume is enchanting like a dark forest in which you would find a house made of candy. Not that it smells like candy, I don't mean it so literally, but it's a deep forest that is not menacing. The perfume is very unisex, opening with shady evergreens and velvety woods, and moist earth enriched by partially decayed leaves and moss. The perfume was a bit oily on my skin, so I assume it contains some good quality natural ingredients. Like many perfume oils, the scent is strong, but it does not radiate much. Nobody at work could smell it on me, yet I smelled it very easily on myself. I also detect plenty of balmy, slightly sweet resins. It was almost delicious in a way, yet nobody would want to eat something that smells like a forest (...right?). I like the fact that this does not contain spice. There is no spice on my skin, just nature. At first I thought I had smelled enough perfumes like this--Fille en Aiguilles, Forest Walk by Sonoma Scent, but as the day wore on, I fell more and more under the spell of this perfume. Its complexity is very alluring. It is beautifully balanced. The resins do not smell like Iso-E-Super (thank heavens!). I want a full bottle!

So...it’s about 1000 degrees where I live and the mountains are engulfed in flames. The smell of incinerated pine forest has descended upon our city in a thick, yellowy haze. This seemed like either the best or the worst perfume to wear today. The opening reminds me of Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir, which I love but reminds me of brisk nights, Christmas lights, and spiced cider. The first time I smelled that perfume I thought “great for a candle, not for a person” but I’ve since come around and I love it. I can see how you could have the same reaction to Ecstasy, but I’m perfectly happy wearing it on my skin. Within 15 minutes I start to get spicy cola notes reminiscent of Youth Dew, another winter favorite of mine. In the heat, the drydown develops fairly quickly. I miss the fresh earthiness of the opening. Things take a soapy and slightly leathery turn. Overall, I love this but I think it is better suited to colder weather. EDIT: Yep...better in winter but it kinda reminds me of holiday room spray. My 6 year old son says I smell like a spicy pine tree which I’m confidant he intends as a compliment. And...the longevity does not live up to the hype.

I’ve been on the hunt for something that reminded me of Christmas. Something that captured the nostalgia of incense during Christmas Eve mass, and something that had a piney scent reminiscent of the scent of fresh cut Christmas tree in the living room. I hadn’t expected this would be the answer to that search. While it contains both coniferous tree and incense I’d seen it described more as earthy / damp forest. Well, much to my surprise, this is the exact scent I was looking for for the holiday season! I blind bought this and don’t regret it one bit. Now I’m pondering trying layering this with more gourmand scents as this week progresses to see if I can come up with the perfect mix that captures the incense of mass, the scent of a Christmas tree AND the sweet scents of the foods I associate with Christmas in my childhood. Bravo, Terenzi team, this was one of my top 10 blind buys. No regrets whatsoever.

I've smelled a lot from this house but only written a handful of reviews. I find a lot of redundancy with TT, but also some that are truly unique and really good. This one falls into the "like" category for me. Does it smell like Dior Privee Ispahan as well? A little bit but there's much more going on here. I didn't pick up the pine opening it just smelled like dirt, but after further testing I get it. Lots of roses and perhaps red wine. Very complex. I also get labdanum, woods, rocky peat, patch, and a smokey incense. The soil and rock accord give it an gritty earthy vibe with the Incense, but there's something sweet like honey or a touch of tonka that keeps it civilized. Overall an enjoyable niche experience and I appreciate the earthy, rose/incense/wood experience it provides, while also remaining functional and wearable. Scent 7/10 Performance 8/10

This is one of the first perfumes I could ever really describe as a "masterpiece". There's nothing quite like it; it's the closest I have to a signature scent. It's really hard to explain (as perfumery sometimes is). I could explain it in concrete terms (equal parts pine, rose, and incense, a whiff of cool earth and stones, drying down to a gentle, resinous whisper) but that still doesn't explain why the entire pleasure center of my brain lights up when I smell it. It's definitely not a "dumb reach", or a "lazy sunday morning" scent, it's more of a "blind date at the midnight masquerade ball with a dashing, possibly dangerous stranger" scent, but I'm wearing it every day in quarantine in my sweatpants anyway.

When Peter Steele said "her perfume smells like burning leaves" in Black no.1, THIS is the perfume he was talking about, this is dark, depressing, smokey, mysterious, foresty, this is the epitome of a goth perfume and I am in love with it. To explain the scent, to me it opens up smelling of foresty pine, grass, soil, wet wood, and incense, drying down into a dark, almost burnt, smoke, incense and wood combination, while still being able to sense some rose and lots of earthy patchouli, I feel like unexperienced noses would not enjoy this, but that's not my problem, I would TOTALLY wear this, comfortably, it smells incredible.

This might be strange, so stay with me here, but I think those in search of a sharp, medicinal rose/oud, or any lover of the highly medicinal variety of "oud" accord, should put Ecstasy at the top of their list of fragrance to try. The scent profile of genuine conifer may scratch that itch better than the fake oud in most perfumes. For those of you who did not smell any pine in Norne, you may find what you are looking for here -- that smell of the sap. The rose illuminates this brightly, like a lamp behind stained glass.

A thick, and dark incense rose that suited more on a chilly weather. The pine is really prominent in the beginning, with the stone notes, creating a nuance of a dark forest, and the incense for me gives off a mystic atmosphere, imagine a group of gregorian priests chanting through the woods... And then the rose blooms, the dark and gooey thick rose adding the sweetness to the concoction, that stays close to the skin for more than 6 hours. A very solid release from this house, enchanting indeed.

I bought a sample of this in a bestseller trio from maxaroma, I also got a sample of Draco. I was so addicted to draco, on the fence but the bottle was only 124 on maxaroma today so I bought it. Then I smelt this and was like S&it..... So I decided to buy this as well because it was also discounted a ton at 51% off, that sample pack cost me a good penny today. These are really killer though, this one is so nice. A nice sweet incense smell, I am digging it for cold weather.

Imagine you are in a medieval balsam fir forest. Silent monks pass by, each carrying a thurible. Smoke from sweet incense roiling out of its' silver chambers. A clean cool breeze stirs the air, bringing a hint of rose with patchouli. Probably from their dark ceremonial cloaks adorned with garlands. Crushed fir needles underfoot intensify the scent. Ecstasy is your vision of an ancient wood rite conducted by clerics. Mage mixed and enhanced by inspired proportions!

Deep, resiny and warm. There is nothing nasty here. People really need to remember our skins set stuff off. So if it smells nasty (unless the perfume has turned) it’s generally YOU that makes it smell that way. Clean almost soapy at times (the vibe I get from the conifer mixed with patchouli and rose) at the start. I love the spikes of notes that pop out throughout its lifecycle. Changes a lot for me and yet stays the same....a love for me on my skin.

It smells like church but in a good way!! Really good quality of insence rose and oud !! Smoky intense dark freagrance!! For sure not for young people!! To my nose is masculine!! perfect for cold weather at night!! It fits great to a mysterious man arround 40 walking in the dark on the alleys of a cold big city!! Great release from the house of Terenzi!!

A very cool and unusual perfume. Tangy, semi-smoky conifer. I've been wearing this for about two years in various conditions, and in my opinion it shines in moderate temperatures, especially with some moisture. Heat and cold tend to kill it, so it's not super-versatile. Unisex leaning masculine, because we all know girls only like flowers and carbs. :P

On my skin it's a constant deep patchouli rose, pine, pine, incense, soil. It's very vintage and Christmasy, also I get a lot of compliments with this one.

Rich, dark concoction, reminding of dark forest with magnificent old pine trees and wet soil, incense and dark roses. Wonderful, smooth and long lasting.

Tiziana Terenzi Ecstasy opens with a moderate to a strong projection of slightly sweet, fresh green tree, soil, and floral accords. The most prominent notes are the pine note, evocative of Pinetree needles squeezed in between the fingers, combined with a fresh, resinous, and aromatic tree tone. The pebbles or stone powder comes across as clean earthy and slightly mineral accord which combines well with the pine accord. The patchouli joins the blend just a brief moment after the initial application, with its noticeable green, and herbaceous accord. The rose is more noticeable than the violet, but both are there. The incense is next to join the blend, and it climbs up very fast; the incense feels smokey slightly burn wood which in combination with the soil tincture are evocative of the smell of the wood ashes on top of open soil. The sandalwood is a light touch. Other tones are there to enhance but are not prominent. The most important change from the opening to the dry-down is the softening of the pine accords which initially are very strong and sharp, towards the dry-down they round up and soften blending more with other notes, and the patchouli that climbs to become the prominent green note. Once Tiziana Terenzi Ecstasy has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate to strong projection, slightly sweet resinous, patchouli, incense, woody, and roses fragrance with Pinetree, violet and earthy soil accords. The fragrance feels bold, classy, commanding, complex, dark, mildly dirty, earthy, exotic, floral, formal, herbaceous, masculine, mature, mysterious, nocturnal, resinous, rich, smoky, slightly sweet, special, warm, woody, and pleasant. BATCH REVIEWED: 2019 WOW RATING: 9/10. This is a complex blend of tones resulting in great fragrance. DISLIKE RATING: 3/10. Some people will find offensive the resins, patchouli, or incense. If that is the case, this is a great buy. BLIND-BUY: No, sample it first, the fragrance blends multiple tones, the result is complex and unique. SIMILAR: Mixing incense is a difficult task, some houses have created fragrances that contain this particular note as well as woods. Here are some examples. Amouage Jubilation XXV Men EDP brings green tones, wood, incense, and outstanding performance; Chanel Les Exclusifs – Sycomore EDP, this is a “church” type of fragrance of high quality and moderate performance; Frederic Malle Portrait of A Lady is a fragrance that includes incense and strong patchouli, a great “old-school” fragrance; John Varvatos Dark Rebel Rider, from the designer world, this fragrance is dark with incense, tobacco and leather notes, but moderate to low performance; Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade EDP is a fantastic dark, incense, masculine fragrance but with very poor performance; Tiziana Terenzi Ecstasy blends green, incense, roses and the result is great. SUMMARY: A moderate to strong projection, slightly sweet resinous, patchouli, incense, woody, and roses fragrance with Pinetree, violet and earthy soil accords. The fragrance feels bold, classy, commanding, complex, dark, mildly dirty, earthy, exotic, floral, formal, herbaceous, masculine, mature, mysterious, nocturnal, resinous, rich, smoky, slightly sweet, special, warm, woody, and pleasant.

Sweet greens are made of this. Who are you to disagree? If you want to know how does it feel, this perfect balance between fresh-moisty-earthy-greens, incense, and ambery-sweets, this review is for you. 😉 • It seems to me that Paolo Terenzi, the nose behind Tiziana Terenzi’s house, is one of the perfumers that make the better use of natural/quality ingredients, besides mastering smoky and ambery notes. He made it clear in perfumes as Porpora, Al Contrario, Gold Rose Oudh among others. Ecstasy is another perfect example of this. (I can’t affirm that he doesn't use synthetics. But if he does, it's amazingly well crafted.) In the opening, you get all that beautiful fresh-greens in your face. The pine 🌲 note stands up itself, not in a dissonant way, but in perfect balance with the other notes, in my opinion. Along with it, you fell a moisty-earthy vibe, slightly mineral, I would say. Probably this mineral quality comes from the Pebbles note. The earthiness comes from both, the Soil Tincture note in the base (that is very noticeable in the fragrance) and from the Patchouli, that here presents itself with this earthy quality. Despite the greens of the fragrance consistently persist to the end, after 40-60 minutes you feel that its moisty-earthiness tone becomes a little bit louder, always together with the most balanced and delicious (not in a gourmand way) ambery-sweet. Speaking of the sweet, the sweetness in the fragrance has a very distinctive quality. It comes from the Amber and the Labdanum, with the Tonka Beans lending an aromatic/vanilla-ish vibe to it. It’s to die for! The intense here is also b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. It’s not overwhelming at all. And the flowers in the note’s breakdown? Don’t worry about it, if you don’t like flowers. I confess that I can’t feel any flowery note standing up from the perfume. • Different from the majority here, I do think that Ecstasy matches with the summer. Its sweets and incense are in a perfect balance with the freshness of its greens, making it appropriate for the slightly hotter days. 🌞 I live in Brazil... I can tell you that, in fact, wearing Ecstasy is even refreshing. The problem in this perfume, in my humble opinion, is the projection. It doesn’t project too much. In my skin, it doesn't project at all. Aaaaaalmost as a skin sense. But if you don’t care so much about it, as long as the fragrance is a great fragrance, and you like this green genre of perfume, you’ll be going to enjoy wearing it. • Tiziana Terenzi's Ecstasy is like camping 🏕 in a dewed pine forest, after a rainy day that made the soil wet, putting out the fire that a few hours ago melted the marshmallow.

If I had to distill my thoughts on TT Ecstacy down to just two words, I would call it "artistic" and "experiential." In the tradition of great painters, Paolo Terenzi has created something that takes the wearer on a journey starting with polished wood, going back all the way to the cool, dark forest from whence they came. Stunningly evocative in its many phases. For me, this is a story in a bottle, but something you wear strictly for your own pleasure. From the top, I get a prominent fir with piney turpenols that hint at solvents and varnish. There is also a slight "electricity" at the open, which I believe may be the rose and violet adding depth. This stage reminds me somewhat of D.S & Durga Bowmakers, at least until that green opening starts to dry down. Several minutes to an hour in, the floral notes begin to take hold, with a sweet smokiness in the backdrop. This mid is simply divine! I find rose to be very tricky and usually not super likeable, but it's really balanced well here in such a way that it presents as both a bit sweet and also plausibly masculine. Think AdP's Oud EDP in terms of similarity. And then the dry down comes, and this beauty reveals yet another identity. Only by dumb luck can I put a comparable to this -- Olympic Rainforest by Olympic Orchids. That soil tincture note is very reminiscent of the mushroom note from OR, and combines with all the previous notes and accords -- none of which have completely faded away -- into something that brings me right to the heart of a damp coniferous forest in the Pacific Northwest. Projection is moderate, as is sillage in my limited wearings. But I don't douse, so YMMV. Longevity is borderline endless. I've picked up whiffs of this stuff at 14 hours. Nothing offensive, but not what I'd consider a universal crowd pleaser. Will appeal to more mature noses, but maybe not younger ones. Doesn't quite hit my top shelf, but I really do like it.

In the spirit of the holidays, as they are approaching, I am unearthing all my lovely forest nympths from the depths of my closet (where I store all my fumes oddly enough). There are A LOT of fir balsam type scents out there but they're either too sweet or too dark, rarely any have that perfect balance that I seek. Enter Ecstasy.... So, my holy grail dark forest goes to Norne (slumberhouse) and unfortunately I couldn't get into the powerhouse from SL, so I gave ecstasy a shot knowing this house and how their fumes are of utmost quality and performance (lillipur and laudano nero being two of my faves). I was NOT disappointed. In comparison, Norne is a fume I seek when I want dark, damp, ice cold woods. Ecstasy is that perfect balance with warm wood but still maintaining an enigmatic, magical, slightly chilly vibe... just in a different location. Where Norne is Siberia, Finland, Norway, Ecstasy is Germany, Poland, Czech Republic. The beautiful spruce forests of Czech Republic come to mind when smelling this concoction. Ecstasy is ambery...rose like warm woods, but very dry, no moisture to give this fume a voluptuous feel. Very masterfully blended and deliciously RICH. Lots and lots of fir, resin and a delicate incense rising amongst it all, thick clouds of Christmas smoke. Very green. Very nostalgic and realistic, absolutely beautiful. Wearable? For some. For others, a sensory experience...

Revisiting my previous review from a few months ago... I have to say I've really grown to appreciate the beauty and artistry of this one, even though it confuses and challenges me in a way. For me, Ecstasy begs the question, when is a perfume not a perfume? I had basically described Ecstasy as a journey from DSD Bowmakers to AdP Oud EDP to OO Olympic Rainforest. Several months later, I'd say that more or less holds up -- but for some reason, that piney opening has really shortened up with age, where rose (mingled with the softest spruce), soil tincture and wet stone really take hold quickly and more or less define the experience for me. So, less Bowmakers and much more of the other two. And not only does Ecstasy blur the line between perfume and nature, I feel like it also defies an easy gender label. Ecstasy is the genderless essence of a nature walk in the Pacific Northwest -- where it's sunny enough for the roses to bloom, but also with a stony, almost mycological dampness that follows a rainstorm in a verdant evergreen forest. Wherever you may find yourself, Ecstasy will transport you. Like liquid magic mushrooms.

The opening to this makes a big deal about itself in that smokey smouldering way this fragrance meant to. If anything, the advertisement for this is understated. This is most definitely something fiery in the heart of a forest. The burn is a slow burn, though, and like another reviewer mentioned, it seems to be carried on some sort of mineral accord before the dry down. I have unique tastes in fragrances so I thought this would be right up my alley and it is, but not in the way I wanted it to be. This fragrance amazes and settles down to a smoky forest scent with fleeting sweet scents of pine and an occasional floral mixed with the heavier woodsy scents; it quite feels alive, in that way. But this is not a fragrance I can wear because it's too much of an experience than it is a perfume. It's too distracting for me. And, like many unisex scents, it goes masculine on me (though I do think the unisex descriptor is accurate; it could definitely be pulled off by women). I wouldn't call this a safe blind buy, but I would call this something you've gotta try if you get a chance to. It'll definitely be different.

Ecstasy is absolutely fabulous! In fact, I have yet to try a Tiziana Terenzi fragrance that I do not love! Initial opening stars off with the most sumptuous scent of pine needles, that wonderful sticky, sappy scent of pine needles that stays on your fingers when gently rubbed between your fingertips. It feels green and milky and earthy and sweet... Now, more often than not, that scent is associated with masculine rather than feminine fragrances but here it is done in such a magnificent way that it's perfectly unisex. There is a beautiful freshness of woods that cloaks you in what feels like a protective and magical way. I love how natural and woodsy this feels. I feel like a magical forest creature every time I wear this, and let me tell you, I wear it summer and winter because this is perfect for all seasons. As it dries down, greenness gives way to a light milky smokiness that feel celestial and somehow sacred. Another 10/10 for Tiziana Terenzi! PS. Gorgeous green incense perfume. The main notes I smell in Ecstasy are incense, spruce, pine tree, rose, amber, woody notes, soil, and pebbles. It smells like burning down sequoias in the forest, walking on black fertile soil, and wearing the deepest, darkest rose attar. I wasn't sure if I was smelling spruce at first, or just pine, but I burned a spruce candle by chance the other day, and it was getting hard to tell me (wearing this perfume) and the candle apart! For being such a strong incense fragrance, I think this one might actually be likeable for others. It blends in with your skin well over time, as the amber comes out more. I think the rose and amber help smooth this out and mesh it with your own warmth, keeping it from becoming too sharply green and smoky. The evergreen notes always remain though, keeping the fragrance fresh in an unexpected way. It's incredible.

This is a very pleasant scent for year round use imo. Today it's a hot summer day with 33°C and I can easily wear it. Ecstasy feels unisex but it leans to masculine scents. It's a safe and easy to wear fragrance. All I get is a dominant combo of strong pine tree, strong spruse, strong but smooth smoky incense and mild rose. The woody notes combined with the patchouli give an illussion of a westernized woody oud slightly bitter/camphoric/medicinal. After 2 hours all I get is pine and this "oud" accord. Beautiful, linear and manly scent. I'm still evalluating the longevity. I'll update with info the next days. The projection could be better though, Ecstasy stays close to the skin. The sillage is moderate.

now, without knowing the notes I could have sworn there is aoud, musk and some fruity notes. Alas, now looking at the pyramid, I have to see there isn't any of those. This one smells like a toned down Montale to me, to be honest. My first idea was a similarity with Montale Dark Purple. Nice and price is in the lower range taking into consideration this is a perfume extrait and also being niche. However, I found no novelty in this one yet I must admit it is well composed and well blended.

This smells fantastic, opens piney, foresty, potpurri-esque in a nice way. Dries down to a soft incense-y smell. The unfortunate thing is I got about 4 hours out of this on skin before it was completely undetectable even when pressing my nose into it. I guess my skin just eats fragrance unusually quickly, but I have other stuff that will last all day on me. Very, very disappointing considering the price.

Full, opulent rose with incense and pine. The opening startled me, it was very unique and very interesting. Completely unisex and very pretty, though a bit scary. As it develops it gets dryer and more spicy, incense becomes more dominant and rose feels very dry. I get soil, it's not earthy, but it's very dry, smells everlasting like the Earth itself. A very interesting perfume, def. worth a try.

This is a major disappointment! The reports of a long lasting fragrance with heavy sillage are missing from this watered down mess from Tiziana Terenzi. This starts out like a very weak Krizia Uomo, all green and herbal. A very light smokiness follows with a sweetness from amber. Twenty minutes later it’s nearly gone. A hour later it’s barely a skin scent. This is anything but Ecstasy!

I've had this on the list for ages, so was thrilled to get it this Christmas. I am sooo disappointed, the initial scent is what I had hoped for...but it doesn't develop at all on me. Every vestige has gone in under an hour! This has been a very expensive blind buy, proving yet again you can't trust the notes alone. I will re-visit & (fingers crossed) let you know if things change.

Just blind bought this one (90% partial for 55$), just couldn’t resist the offer! And i am not disappointed, for me its rose, wood and amber combination with some incense in the background that gives it a smoky feel, didn’t get much of the other listed ingredients, perfectly unisex, decent performance (not beastly). It’s nice, enjoyable but I wouldn’t pay full retail for it.

Ecstasy is a complex and 100% satisfying and pleasurable treatment of rose and fresh piney incense. Not too dried out wood thrown on a campfire, managing to burn. Its not oud-rose. Smells Southeastern European or Middle Eastern. Highly recommended at half its retail price. (Amouage should be half its retail price, as well!)

Moist, piney, vintage, and a bit festive. Feels surprisingly Christmas-y, despite the mossy wet earth scent. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's a bit powdery, giving it that dated and "churchy" feeling that so many other reviews are mentioning. 7.5/10

A sub-Sorcinelli confection of woody notes, with a rose incense heart and a labdanum-driven dry down reminiscent of La Couche du Diable. Just the right side of niche-exoticism: intriguing without frightening the horses.

Smokey incense just like the notes imply. This is not my type of scent but it's worth investigating if you like this sort of thing, as the price is pretty good for a niche house.

Whoo, this makes an impression immediately. Upon application I got a big whiff of something dirty, woody, and wet. Like I got a mental image of a mausoleum in a forest, and I'm like "wow, they should name this Zombie instead of Ecstasy". As it dries down it gets a lot sweeter and the rose really pops along with patchouli, oud, and balsamic accords. Seems they took the basic concept of a rose/oud fragrance and took creative liberties making it more dirty and syrupy. I didn't like this on the first wear, but it is actually growing on me and I can see the artistry here. I just finished my sample and I'm a little sad there isn't more. Ecstasy isn't for everyone and I can't think of many instances I would wear it outside the house, plus i know my gf wouldn't like this one cuz of all the patchouli/incense. Points for performance, it radiates strongly and lasts like 12 hours.

I've heard the phrase "church incense" thrown around with fragrances, and never shared that experienced until now. The combination of pine, rose, and incense makes you feel like you're sitting on an aged pew. The connection was not lost on the creators because they chose to overtly link the promotion and name with religious vernacular. The labdanum in this is very sharp and drowns out everything else. Some of the softer notes like sandalwood are just buried too deep to ever smell them in the air. The sillage is pitiful. For something that smells this thick you would think it would fill a room (or a vestibule). It's very far removed from a modern fragrance. Adding pine and "dirt and pebbles" notes does not make this smell anything like a real forest, much less something people want to wear.

100ml 018293 huh? it has to be me. after reading all the positive reviews, i expected to have my socks blown off. well, i didn't. it's nice. i am not sure whether that is a compliment. a chic matronly green and flowers on my skin. i think this was the smell of aunts at church in the days when women wore mink to church and there was a hint of incense in the air from a thurible. maybe not as churchy as much as perfume counter of a large department store. luxurious but maybe it needs a cocktail to prep the brain and help it accept the sweet aura of smugness. here's to the ladies who lunch

The opening smells like a fresh grave that was dug right before a rainstorm. For as promising as the opening was, the incense note completely ruins this one for me. Like so many fragrances with incense in the notes, it just completely dominates the scent on my skin. Aside from that this is a moody, deep scent that somehow reminds me of rain despite no ‘watery’ notes. Not a safe blind but at all but incense lovers will be smitten with this. The name of this scent is a little odd to me, since this smells like melancholy in a bottle.

If you are the type of guy that prefers to smell good...and I mean good...if you are that person that prefers Hermes eau tres fraiche, guerlain homme, mugler cologne, he wood, DHS, versace pour homme and some other generally good smelling colognes... (this is my case)...then please...NEVER blind buy this...it is a bit too challenging to the nose...specially if you fit that type of person mentioned above...I tried this after my dinner and I have felt nauseated ever since...it is different...yes it is...but also too potent and pungent to my taste...for me a clear PASS... Edit...projection and longevity are really good..I can still feel it this morning after more than 12 hours...the drydown is a bit more generic...somehow in the same invictus territory...
