Gumin

This is an amazing achievement in perfumery. Gumin is fresh, fruity and ozonic but is also regal and incredibly versatile, is delicate but also masculine, specially in the dry down, where it transforms in to this gorgeous musky, woody skin scent that is totally adicting, can’t stop smelling my hand after I put it on. From the beginning to the very end is a true masterpiece. The silage is fantastic( I am also a generous sprayer) and the longevity on my skin is way past the 12hs, even after I shower.

I am so far an incredible fan of this perfume line. Every one that I have tested so far has won my heart. Gumin is no exception. At first spray the citrus and pineapple shines settling into the bergamot with a faint tell tale sign of the rich elegance of oud. Once the citrus settles the Oud comes forward with a subtle note of the jasmine and musk. Such a well blended fragrance. And so important to me its lastability...I was still smelling the deliciousness 5 hours later. Nicely done.

Gumin, for me, is a masterpiece. I don't detect the pineapple but, more profoundly, the soft citruses, powdery violet, and ozonic opening followed by amber on a base of oud, sandalwood, and birch. In terms of longevity, it lasted the entire afternoon and remained detectable but soft into the early evening. A regal, complex scent that exudes class.

It starts similar to SMW and Mefisto but if you try them all together, you will see that they have differences. This one is a bit stronger and has a prominent pineapple note, something that is missing from the other two. I like it and i will buy it although i have SMW and Mefisto. I prefer it from Mefisto anyway.

I wouldn’t have guessed a single note of this just by smelling. Pineapple? Orange? Flowers? Are you kidding me? This cannot be true. It’s definitely a synergy – a picture you cannot pick apart to basic colors. I perceive it as a unisex summery fragrance, it has something about it that smells like salty sea breeze, with a touch of iodine, and dry towels bleached in the sun, with tiny pieces of seaweed stuck in the pile. It communicates relaxed feeling and invites you to listen to your body: enjoy smells, sounds, and physical sensations while being lazy like a cat on a window sill. At the same time, it has a fresh and invigorating side. Yes, this is a beach. Apparently, “Gumin” is a diminutive from Guglielmo – the name of the house’s founding father to whom the scent is dedicated, but maybe also a word play on “gamine,” so it’s either a calm and caring masculinity or cheeky and confident femininity – take your pick. Yet I like to think that it’s a name of some mythical youth who lives in the cave by the sea, dives for pearls, and collects seashells.

This is Tiziana Terenzi’s answer to Bal D’Afrique. The bergamot is strong. The scent is a lot brighter and greener/mossier than the original fragrance, Debaser, or the Oakcha dupe. My first time trying it, I perceived it to be a lot more floral. The fruity quality reminded me of Cloud Pink by Ariana Grande. I was gonna pass because I feel like we’ve had a lot of these bright fruity florals that are basically, much as I love them, Pink Me Up by AdO flankers (eg Moondance - LoveShackFancy). But the musk really came through and I was convinced that l, atleast, liked it. Now that I’ve had more time with it, I recognize that I, not only, have the scent profile in my collection, but that I have also sampled this scent profile three times now. If a dupe house gets a hold of a scent profile and it wasn’t already doing numbers for you, let it go-we know and we’re not paying for it. Wrap it up.

I think this is straight SMW and mefisto mix.. the opening is way smoother and bit sweeter than both, but when it dries down you can smell the quality citruses which are bit sour but realistic.. and then we have basically silver mountain water and mefisto /gentluomo more imo. Good smell nice perfume and maybe a tiny bit smoother then the other ones but that’s my taste since I’ve those other two as well and I will keep them, because..... PRICE! Come on I can find my smw and mefisto 100ML around 160€ But this is the double almost .. definitely not worth the money, altouhj the performance is bit better on this one but does not project so still not convinced. Maybe one day but now I don’t think it’s worth it.. but nice smell: fruity, bit sweet and dark woody base (you don’t notice that much).. and the tea note as well

A Polite and Correct Citrus-Powder Blend. When I first encountered Gumin fragrance, I was intrigued by the promise of a citrus and pineapple combination, with a touch of powder. Unfortunately, I didn't detect any trace of pineapple, which was a bit disappointing. However, the fragrance does have its own unique charm. The muskiness gives the fragrance a depth and richness that is intriguing and alluring. However, it also makes the scent feel a bit heavy for summer wear, lacking the lightness and freshness . It will be good for formal and official settings.

Their take on Creed Silver Mountain Water, basically SMW on steroid. More citrusy less sharp/metallic smells. Last around 8 hours. Great stuff if you don't mind the price tag

bergamot fruit and a bit floralness very remarkable but you have to be at least 25 and wear suit

Like @Habibi79, I don't detect pineapple, I get all orange at the top, and it doesn't fade in the mid. It is also one of the most realistic orange/orange juice notes I've ever smelled in a fragrance. There's just enough musk and just enough of the other notes to give it some nuance and make it smell like a fragrance, but on first (and second, and third haha) sniff, it smells like you've been eating one of those orange popsicles in the sun and it has started to melt and stick to your hands like when you were a kid. It is so bright and so juicy - a summer gourmand. It smells like a drink that your dentist would kill you for drinking. Up close, you can start to detect the florals and other notes, but in the air, it is almost all citrus, all of the time. Some TT fragrances can be harsh and sharp, and to be fair, this could be too. You have to go easy on the sprays in terms of number and where you spray it. Too many, and too close to your nose and you'll be sick of it before anybody else has even had a chance. But spray just enough in just the right places, every few minutes you'll get this moment of "mmmm, what is that smell of a tall cold glass of sparkling orange juice on a hot day? Oh yeah - me!" At first I voted this as a spring/summer and daytime fragrance, but now, trying it in the winter, all I can smell and think of is summer. This is a strong (I can't speak on longevity as this is a test, but in terms of sillage it is way closer to 'strong' than 'moderate') and unisex fragrance, but if you're a guy it comes across playful and youthful so it is a very casual scent and not a summer to the office fragrance. Definitely an outdoor scent on a warm-to-hot day, where the breeze picks it up and anybody near you is gonna catch a waft of it and smile.

Gumin is a bit fresh, a bit zesty, a hint musky and a whisper of clean agar wood oud. A slightly metallic and ozonic cleanliness runs through and comes across stronger than the oud note, but I suspect that part of the magic in the fragrance is actually the interplay between the oud and these metallic and zingy notes, and the transition to this harmony as the citrus burns through. The citrus has a remarkably long lasting duration considering these are typically top notes, I would not be surprised to learn there may be an unlisted ingredient like elemi or citropol doing some of that work here. It is easy to wear, inoffensive, and as such, bores me terribly. I can tell right away by first smell that this scent will fit right in multiple scenarios, such as the office or a day out in the city. I would never spend hundreds of dollars on the kind of fresh zesty scent that can be found anywhere in any store, although the zingy metallic and ozonic notes just might pull through as differentiated enough for some enough to make the purchase. As it dries down there is a slight soapiness that develops, in reality it was always there from the beginning, creating a kind of confusing thickness in the citrus that you can't quite put your finger on until the dry down begins. Soapy citrus ozone. You've smelled it before, but maybe not with a hint of oud. Not revolutionary due to the mild dosage. Soft pass from me, but I don't like citrus fragrances so pardon my negative bias. I rate it very neutrally, as slightly more interesting than a 100% generic blue.

Very pineapple heavy. It smells quite unique if maybe a newbie in perfumery is smelling it, but already very familiar and mainstream in niche realm. In a way I get some resemblance to grooming products like shampoos, shower gels, hairsprays. Yes, it definitely has some sort of a hairspray scent similarity. That chemical aspect of it at least. I could have guessed this includes a mineral note, but it is not mentioned, so it is probably pineapple and ozonic quality giving impression of it. Not getting too much into details - as fun as it is to break it down and analyze - this is annoying. It fills the entire room, hard to wash away, it's not subtle and elegant in the least. It's not something I would find beautiful on others too.

This is a difficult one for me. Not horrible smelling more something in here doesn’t agree and burns my nose giving me a head ache straight in the centre of forehead.... A sharp white note. Not sure if it’s the ozone note or the musks. I had a similar experience with MFK Aqua Universalis Forte.... Other than that crackling whiteness I get powdery citrus that reminds me of the taste (yes) of the orange tooth paste used when seeing a dental hygienist (this is a childhood smell memory) almost like powdered orange tic tacs (I love those) a salty note and something like a fig leaf, not much else. That whiteness...kind of kills any other notes for me. I’ve tried in heat and in winter. Somewhat better in summer. But sadly not for me. My decant is 2016 batch. Note smells really lovely in a breeze. Might try again later but worn further down the body

This smells nothing like Mefisto, SMW or Aventus IMO. SMW and Mefisto are all about currant and tea. Those are notably absent in this one. I was able to smell this at the Dubai duty free a few weeks ago and it really smells nothing like any of the above mentioned scents. Like, not at all. I wasn't wowed by it like I was by Laudano Nero. That one is the one to own from the brand IMO. They are completely different, but LN is in a class of its own. I feel like this one doesn't have much of an identity in comparison to the ones it is being compared to. I didn't wear it, only smelled it on the test strip but I did keep the test strip and it did evolve a bit after it dried, but I still wouldn't purchase it.

Hyper realistic mandarin orange in the opening, impressive. Pineapple is there too. A very pronounced violet begins to enter the scent, with ozonic notes and a touch of rose. Honestly none of the base notes listed stand out to me. I think this is poorly blended and smells like and old lady

Birch, pineapple, orange—and most importantly, ozone! I’ve never smelled such a realistic ozone note before. It’s exactly like the smell you get when you walk into a room after a UV lamp has been on all night!

Don't let them mislead you it's not like smw or mefisto or even Aventus , Didnt Like It !

My love for citrus fragrance forced me to blind buy this one. I checked the ratings, reviews and notes for many fragrances with citrus base and then loved the notes from this. And honestly, I had high expectations from this one and as soon as I received it, I tried it on me and yeah! It didn’t disappoint me. It fulfilled my expectations to best. With first sniff I lost in it, I was so mesmerized with the pineapple, orange, mandarin orange and bergamot supporting at back, balancing my favourite citrusy vibes. Then after good 4-5 hours, it settled into amber, rose, jasmine and ozonic notes taking me to a ride in a rose valley with amber punch in background. Lastly, it dried down to sort of masculine scent of oud, musk, birch and sandalwood. Overall, this is truly a unisex scent that fits perfect for both men and women. And wait wait, mind it, I forgot to mention this is a beast. Super beast, just try it once and take a roam down the lane. I guarantee you to get many many compliments and the strength is that much, that you will be able to smell it the next day too. That strong it is. This is literally super luxurious and every time I wear it, I get lost and mesmerized in this more and more. People mentioning Mefisto and SMW being similar to it are somewhat right as there is some similarity in opening but later this one turn dark and unique. All and all, this is pure love for me. A must have one if you like citrusy scents.

Pineapple....yummy....delicious and most amazing pineapple one can ever come across. This one reminds me of Mefisto and SMW but this surely has stronger silage and pineapple of course that brings all the difference in it. Gumin is so refreshing, mood uplifting, and a nice one that is enjoyable always. Opening notes in this stunning beauty are citrusy orange, mandarin orange, pineapple, and bergamot. Slowly and gradually without getting noticed much it settles to the heart which has flowers mostly with amber and ozonic note sto keep the freshness and liveliness of this juice at its best. Finally comes the yet amazing dry down phase wherein there are all masculine notes like oud, musk, birch, and sandalwood to keep the smoothness and softness maintained. The opening is my favorite in this one though being such a cheap at price one, I loved to add this in my collection and I do prefer wearing this in summers, on beach dates, or any outing on a hot day. This gives me much required freshness and liveliness with the good enough longevity of 5-6 hours and strong silage as well. I would suggest you try this once at least. Superb!

In no way I could say that this scent is a fresh scent. IT IS NOT. Just because it has these ozonic fruity notes it does not make a perfume fresh. Just because of its intensity and strong longevity and enormous sillage I would never dare to say it's fresh and it is also not airy like a fresh scent would be, it's dense. I can't imagine wearing this on a hot summer day... So as I mentioned the sillage and longevity are superb - it stays on your clothing till you wash them and people will still be able to sense this perfume. To me, this leans in a masculine way. It is unisex for sure, but not in a soft, light casual way. It is a harsh, loud, strong perfume so if you are a woman that likes to feel feminine I would not recommend this perfume at all. I don't know I just don't see it as a sensual alluring perfume in no way... not even inviting. To me, it's even a bit aggressive and repulsive. Although it is one of Tiziana Terenzi's popular perfumes I just don't get why... But if you like this scent I just want to reashure with saying that the projection and longevity is truly amazing.

Gumin is a marvelous fragrance from the house of Tiziana Terenzi which is amazingly citrusy. I came across this lovely fragrance last Christmas when one of my friends gifted me this. I tried this on and got lost in this one. I am good to say that she knows my taste an dprefrences well or maybe this is the magic of Gumin that made me fall for it. Beast performance, wear it and you are going to smell this at least for 16-18 hours and on clothes, mind it, you can smell it even after 2 days or so. This strong Gumin is. This reminds me of Xerjoff Mefisto and Creed Aventus but this one is super luxurious. Also, the similarity is mostly at opening and later the notes that jump in is quite different. This is pretty nice, dark, seductive and kind of complex. Citrusy opening ending with the musk and amber makes it a treat to wear. All my thanks and love to Paolo Terenzi.

I have 2022 batch. The juice is not macerated enough to tell how this works. So far the scent is very pleasant. The quality of ingredients is outstanding. It’s smooth, well balanced, and blended to perfection. It’s unisex, barbershop style. I like the balance of natural ingredients, and aroma molecules. Mefisto, and Creed are sharper. I personally would prefer Mefisto over Creed. People! Stop paying ridiculous amount of money for Creed. It’s known that creed created that fake brand story bla bla bla You are paying for fake history, which Creed doesn’t have. At least get Chanel... if you want to pay for the brand! PS: it’s nothing you can find in a designer range! Please people develop some taste! My heart breaks when I read this reviews. You can’t see the difference because you have no taste!

I wouldn't say this perfume is particularly good or bad. Everyone who smells it identifies one of the 13 notes and says, "This is what it smells like," and I think the reason is that, in a way I haven't often encountered, the notes are distributed so evenly. I mean, maybe not in terms of milliliters, like, "Let's put 3ml of birch and 3ml of violet," but rather (maybe that's the case) in terms of fragrance units (let's call them "sments"). For example, if bergamot is 2 sments, jasmine 5 sments, and rose 3 sments, it's like there are 15 units of bergamot, 6 units of jasmine, and 10 units of rose. Hehehe, Terenzi would laugh his back off if he read this.

Gumin is difficult to place in a single olfactory group. There's an interesting contrast of notes that transition from very bright to woodsy. The ozonic tones and vivid florals play the peacemaker between the fruits & citruses versus the sandalwood-agarwood accord used. I even find it to be aquatic in some ways with a whisper of Aventus's worshipped pineapple. It's a great balance and ideal for daywear. This could potentially be a great summer fragrance. While a niche offering, it is quite safe. In Korean, "Gumin" translates sexy or cool. I am unsure whether or not Gumin was used in this context, but it fits that description.

Very nice. An outstanding buy for the fresh lovers with a pineapple twist. I call this the Pineapples and fresh crème Chanel Allure sport version of Chanel. Mild projectile and mild performance in strength. Its worthy of a buy if you don’t have Mefisto or Silver mountain water. I prefer Mefisto and this right along side it. I receive a compliment. I am still thinking about it as if I should go out and buy. A unique fresh one.

I am thinking about purchasing this as a blind buy. I see alot of people compare this to Mefisto but I've never smelled that one either.....Is Gumin more of a masculine scent than unisex? I own Kirke, Cassiopea, Andromeda, Delox, Mirach and Gold Rose Oudh from Tiziana Terenzi.. just to give perspective on my range in taste. Is Gumin a good Blind Buy or no? Help!

As a woman in my 30's, i love this bec freshies don't usually stick on my skin. Except this! This scent is said to be male leaning (it's actually unisex) bec of its similarities to creed aventus but to my skin it's a lovely creamy orange fragrance. Took a shower and i can still faintly smell it on me.

Regardless of what it similar to, it is a beast. Wore it to go out. When we got back i laid down on one of the couch pillows and the smell remained for 5 days. “Thats strong”. Smells super luxurious. Bought it a discount house( never full price. Why would you).9.5 /10. What else needs to be said.

SMW snd Mefisto? Yes. Similar but only at the beginning. Then it turns dark. Performance is good. However, i never get compliments with this one. I get tons with Mefisto and SMW I think it’s something in the dry down that’s off . First hour is ok then it’s a disaster. Not worth it IMO

Wow!! First wearing was all citrus, not too excited. Second wearing was mostly pineapple and glorious woods. This perfume blends the woods and citrus perfectly and the result is a stunning gem! An absolute must have for me. The best of Terenzi.

Musk, birch, & pineapples. pineapples, bitch, musk, jasmines, sandalwood, violets, and amber. I kind of detect some mint as well beside a metallic note. I kind of think it's similar to "Aventus".

Did anyone noticed some change in color of the juice, i have decant from 2018 its yellow juice, and when i bought 2022 its like water, not a little bit of yellow. Whats happening there ?

You have just woken up and enter your bathroom. There you find orange rind so you put it on your brush and brush your teeth vigorously... Bitter orange ozone breath... Disgusting! lol

Citrus and longevity fans will love this. Realistic orange and mandarin, musky ozonic and powdery fragrance. Perfectly unisex and almost impossible to like. Signature worthy.

Tried this today on my skin and immediatly from the first sniff thought about mefisto with a hint of creed smw vibe.came here to check if there's similar notes and voila!

I love the way this scent evolves from bright bold citrus to a soft delicately sweet iris musk. This is anything but linear and a testament to the skill of the perfumer.

I think it's more similar to Xerjoff Mefisto instead of Creed Aventus. I like its complexity which starts from citrus scents and end with amber&musk.
