Kirkè Overdose

Kirkè Overdose is a complex, multifaceted and exclusive fragrance, one whose notes are difficult to isolate and whose depth is hard to fully grasp in just a single test. I had the immense privilege of meeting Paolo Terenzi himself at the launch event of this perfume in Buenos Aires, where we talked extensively about perfumery and I was introduced to the release of Kirkè Overdose. This fragrance celebrates the 10th anniversary of the legendary Kirkè, presenting a more refined version of it in every aspect. I simply couldn’t miss the opportunity to buy this gem to mark such a unique experience, but also because of the addictive and singular scent this perfume possesses. To make the moment even more special, Paolo himself signed the bottle, even adding a personal dedication! According to Paolo, this version was designed to be worn on more romantic nighttime occasions, when you want to make a strong impression on someone special. And honestly... it will leave an impression on everyone in the room. Now, speaking about the fragrance itself: this is a more balanced, mature and complex version that, despite all these refinements, still manages to keep the joyful DNA of its predecessor clearly present. It opens with an extremely juicy, lively, exotic and slightly sweet fruity explosion. The fruit accord is very pleasant and expressive, quite reminiscent of the original Kirkè. The biggest difference between the two lies in this bouquet of sophisticated florals in the heart of the fragrance, which adds a more open, creamy, sensual and opulent character, creating a unique fruity-floral accord that feels almost narcotic and highly addictive. As the fragrance develops into its heart, these florals begin to envelop the fruity accord with greater density and texture, bringing a creamy, luminous and comforting sensation that significantly elevates the overall sophistication of the composition. During the dry down, the perfume reveals a denser body, evolving into a musky, slightly powdery, velvety and elegant scent, with a subtly animalic background. Here, authentic ambergris begins to emerge alongside heliotrope, musk and sandalwood, which to my nose are the most evident notes in the final stage of the fragrance’s evolution. The fruity and floral nuances are still present, but now in the background. In terms of performance, this fragrance can be a bit deceptive, as it quickly causes olfactory fatigue due to its potency. You may even think it’s a more restrained version, you can smell it on your skin but assume it’s not projecting that much, meanwhile in reality everyone around you is clearly picking it up in the air. One of my most memorable wearings was at a graduation ceremony, where almost every person I greeted throughout the night complimented it and asked what perfume I was wearing. Even after sweating and moving around quite a bit, after about six hours of wear people were still commenting that the scent was dominating the room. You go to sleep and wake up still smelling it. It lingers on clothes even after washing; the scent remained on one of my towels even after several days of use. In short... longevity and projection are well above average. Perhaps I’m a bit biased when speaking about this fragrance since I first encountered it through the hands of the perfumer himself. But after extensive wear, careful analysis of the notes used here, and feedback from others who have smelled it, I feel confident in saying: this is truly a masterpiece. In a way, it feels like reuniting with a dear friend who has always had a lively personality and contagious energy, but who, after ten years, has matured. The joyful and captivating spirit is still there,but now with a more composed, mature and self-assured presence. 10/10

A decade after the iconic Kirké first captivated fragrance lovers, Tiziana Terenzi returns with Kirké Overdose; reimagining rather than amplifying its predecessor. The opening is an irresistible burst of pulpy passionfruit paired with succulent peach, tangy raspberry, and a breath of Bulgarian rose. It’s fruit-forward, but softer, more velvety, with a creamy and natural texture that feels polished and refined. In the heart, the perfume drifts into a dreamy escape of gardenia, lily of the valley, and Jasmine Sambac, floating over warm, and mineral-like sandy undertones. It conjures the sense of a lazy, luxurious afternoon by the shore. As it settles, the dry-down unfolds into creamy sandalwood milkiness, plush vanilla, and soft musks that are rich yet gentle. It’s seductive without harshness, and luxurious without being overwhelming, like the original could be perceived. Unlike a typical “overdose,” this isn’t about overpowering intensity, but a reimagination. Think nostalgic fruitiness and chypre elegance, with a soft modern twist. Still potent, but in a more seductive, silky way, like Kirke’s softer, more alluring sibling.

I dont like the scent profile on og kirke, idk dont judge me but it is smelling synthetic to me and most people wear this and kinda bored from this. But I tried this one and I really like passionfruit both in my drinks and in my fragrances. I loved this. This smells juicy. Think about the og kirke dna but better and juicier. This reminds me of power of you by armani. Also adore that smell. First time I smelt that fragrance I thought wish this was a man fragrance but now I dont needit cause kirke did it. But doubt I buy this cause of the price point.

One of the best dry downs I've ever smelled. That Bourbon Vanilla and Australian Sandalwood do wonders! There is some cacao in here as well. Plus, it has top-class performance with top-class ingredients.

I just got this fragrance, didn't know it was coming from the brand and when I saw that they sent me Kirke Overdose, I started laughing because I am the OG Erba Pura and Kirke hater. And I judged this scent very quickly, but then I sprayed it and... it is quite nice? I cannot believe this is coming from my mouth but it smells like a creamy, lush white floral luxury shampoo with this mellow feminine, a little bright pink musk in the background. To my nose, I absolutely do not get Erba Pura and you better believe I know how it smells like. There's none of that dusty/rotten fruit ambroxan and pool chlorine vibe going on. It also has something a little nostalgic from the 90s-00s to me. I can wear this without feeling nauseous or wanting to scrub it off which says a lot lol

From the classic Kirkè - it made me feel physically unwell. At first, it smelled like a multi-fruit juice, but then ambrocenide took over completely, drowning everything else out. It felt like drills in my nose and brain, causing sneezing, watery eyes, and a headache. Still, I wanted to understand the beauty of this fragrance and why so many people love it, so I decided to try Overdose. I bought an original sample. The first spray - and it was absolutely delicious: a creamy raspberry–peach syrup, truly delightful. Unfortunately, this phase lasted only a couple of minutes, and then ambrocenide came back on stage. It wasn’t as harsh as in the original version, but it still overpowered all the other notes, making it impossible to distinguish anything else. The scent is dense, and I didn’t notice much sillage. It’s not as suffocating as the first version, but I still felt the urge to wash it off because of the ambrocenide. Such a pity. P.S. After an hour, the ambrocenide intensified and started “shouting” at me - I had to wash it off.

I sprayed on this perfume 2 hours ago and I want to wash my arm until next year. It opened interesting but after 10 minutes, it is pure headache. Too sweet, too generic and nothing to balance it. Way overpriced.

Never would I have thought that I would splurge on a Kirke. I even resisted the SA when he suggested I give this one a try. But as it turns out, I fell in love with it. It's sweet and passion fruit forward. I get the blackcurrant in the background, beautifully blended with the white florals. Of the white florals, jasmine stands out the most to my nose. The musk is also nicely integrated with the rest of the composition and does not come accross as harsh. The day I bought this, I also tried the original Kirke to see how they compare - hoping I could just go with the OG and not break the bank for the hefty price tag on this one. But I find the two versions are not really that similar. The OG smells rather harsh and fruitier than this one. This, on the other hand, smells much rounder, more in the realm of fruity floral, and more balanced to me.

Listen... I hated Erba Pura and Kirke. Both of them smelled like some cheap chemical mess and I was about to throw up when I first smelled them. But this...?? Oh my Lord. Smells absolutely divine. They used ingredients of much higher quality and you can smell it. So smooth and refined it’s unbelievable. Yes it’s very expensive I know.. But even the untrained nose will know you’re rocking a fine jewel that’s blended to perfection while smelling like a million bucks. I never thought I would buy a Kirke DNA until I smelled their extrait version. Congratulations to the whole team of the Terenzi family! The impossible suddenly became possible. What a breathtaking fragrance in every way. Italian artistry

kirke with all the edges rounded off and a healthy dose of a vanilla accord thrown in throughout the opening into the base. i do enjoy the original but can totally tell that if you were someone who wanted to like the original but couldn't, this is perfect for you. it makes it much more creamy of a scent. i think the best way for me to compare this to the OG is that the OG is like normal raisins vs the overdose is like those white chocolate/yogurt covered raisins. of course neither smells like raisins hell nah im just comparing the differences that are felt between the two. really nice though! huge fan but very redundant if you have the OG

Kirkè Overdose Tiziana Terenzi: I've never liked any of the Erba Pura/Kirkè fragrances or even overly tropical scents like them. Rarely ever. But this Overdose version? I absolutely adore! Finally they watered down all of that tropicalness with Creamy Bourbon Vanilla & lots of Musky florals. Sooo gorgeous! Packs a good Punch too.

I'm also Kirke og and Erba Pura hater but this... This one I really love. It's fruity, creamy, and intoxicating. I from the Mediterranean and I can really feel those flowers and fruits, they're so realistic and bold. I mean, that heliotrope, is so damn realistic. Tiziana Terenzi is definitely on my radar from now on. 🤌

Oh great. Another flanker that was absolutely not needed. Kirke is already extremely strong there was no need for an ‘overdose’ of it. Blatant cash grab by TT. And they just released like 10 new fragrances in the last year. Such a joke.

I wouldn't say Kirke is extremely strong. Maybe it's decently strong if you spray it a bunch, maybe it's newer batches, but my Kirke may last a few hours on clothing, but it is not 'extremely' strong.

I do not see ANY ambergris listed in the reviews. I cannot tolerate it. can you tell it's there? is it the same loud metallic of br540? I actually have a sample but I'm almost afraid to spray it.

I enjoy standard Kirke and appreciate the woody, clean musk with sweet but crisp fruits. I don’t find it crazy loud. But I’m not an oversprayer. I’d like to try this and see how it differs.

Kirke if it was a smoothie. Idk how else to describe this other than I need it.
