There is nothing light or casual about its construction. Laudano Nero feels ritualistic and nocturnal, leaning into incense, tobacco, and warmth with a heaviness that feels intentional rather than excessive. It reads less like a moment of escape and more like a descent, immersive and unrelenting in the way it unfolds. Let’s step back into the wearing experience and see how this smoldering darkness begins to settle once it meets skin. Opening: The opening is smoky, woody, and balsamic. The primary notes I get are incense, oud, tobacco, and amber, with incense and oud leading the way. Incense is the first to announce itself, coming across as dark, smoky, and resinous, with a slow smoldering quality rather than anything sharp or church-like. It smells like incense that has already been burning for some time, where the smoke hangs thick in the air and the resins have melted into something deep and shadowed. There is no brightness or lift here, only a heavy, slightly ashy presence that immediately establishes the fragrance’s brooding character. Oud follows closely, presenting itself as dark, woody, and quietly animalic without ever becoming abrasive or barnyard-heavy. It feels earthy and damp, almost soil-like, with a worn, aged quality that suggests old wood soaked in time rather than sharp medicinal wood. Tobacco then enters as a dark, warm, richly aromatic accord, more cured leaf than smoke, dense and comforting in a serious, cigar-like way. Its subtle sweetness feels inherent to the leaf rather than added, giving it a warmth without tipping into anything plush or gourmand. Performance: In the first hour, projection is extremely strong and easily capable of filling a room, immediately announcing its presence. Sillage matches that intensity with a dense, heavy scent trail that lingers confidently. Over the next few hours, both projection and scent trail remain impressively consistent, showing very little drop off from their initial strength. Even at the seven to eight hour mark, projection is still reaching 5-6 feet and the trail remains clearly noticeable. It does not finally settle closer to the skin until around the twelve hour point. Taken as a whole, Laudano Nero delivers exceptional projection and longevity, firmly placing it among the strongest performers I have worn recently. When to Wear: Laudano Nero is best suited for fall and winter evenings, where its density and darkness feel intentional rather than overwhelming. It excels in formal or special occasion settings, where its weight, seriousness, and ritualistic character can be fully appreciated. This is a fragrance that commands attention and carries authority, making it well suited for environments that call for presence and drama. That same intensity, however, makes it a poor choice for casual wear, where it would feel out of place, and entirely unsuitable for office settings, where its power and heaviness would be far too much. Blind Buy: Laudano Nero is not a safe blind buy. This is a fragrance built around heavy smoke, resins, ash, and darkness, and that profile alone will be challenging for many people. It makes no attempt to soften its edges or appeal to a wide audience, instead fully committing to a bracing, smoke-forward identity. Sampling is strongly recommended, as this is the kind of fragrance that demands skin time to determine whether its intensity feels compelling or simply overwhelming. Final Verdict: Laudano Nero wears exactly like its name suggests. Inspired by laudanum, the historic opium tincture, and reinforced by the word “nero,” translating from Italian to "black", this fragrance embraces intoxication, ritual, smoke, and shadow without restraint. On skin, it is dense, heavy, and aggressive, unapologetic in both its scent profile and its performance. This is not a fragrance made for mass appeal, but one designed for enthusiasts who appreciate intensity and are comfortable wearing something confrontational. Tiziana Terenzi Laudano Nero opens with a strong projection of boozy, tobacco, spicy, sweet, and dark woody notes. The opening is great, the combination and potency of the notes are excellent. The cognac is a prominent note, but it is not alone, the tobacco is also noticeable and it has a dark and bold tone. The wormwood, rosemary, and myrtle add their green, slightly floral and aromatic tones but enhance the opening rather than lead it. The amber joins with the tobacco adding a woody resinous accord. From the heart notes, the ash is the most noticeable accord, evocative of burn dry wood which joins with the incense from the base that is becoming prominent adding a dark and very smoky accord. The honey is another noticeable accord, and its sweet notes soften the dark fragrance. As the fragrance transitions to the base notes, some of the green accords subside as the base notes come up. The camphor and vetiver add their green and herbaceous tone, more herbaceous than green; the oud makes the woods accord very clear, it feels dark and dry. Once Tiziana Terenzi Laudano Nero has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a complex, strong projection, incense, boozy, dark wood, tobacco, and ambery fragrance with sweet aromatic, spicy, and soft floral accords. The fragrance feels bold, commanding, dark, dry, elegant, exotic, formal, herbaceous, imposing, masculine, mature, modern, natural, nocturnal, resinous, rich, smoky, mildly sweet, warm, woody, and very pleasant. An Art House Acclaim! --- Laudano Nero is very intense, masculine, refine, and complex (I am a little biased because this is one of my all-time favorite fragrances, been wearing it for years). Not a true nocturnal fragrance, it has a sanctuary feel (it’s a little warmer than one would think) but a fragrance you wear to a nocturnal event. --- The EDP pretty much opens up in this amber driven DNA with a boozy-woody-spicy syrup drip backed by Latakia tobacco: imagine a wooden log of sandalwood dropped into a thick pool of absinthe/cognac for days and then brought out and put over a cauldron of burning cigars with spices thrown over it. --- After about 5-10 minutes the myrtle and earthy notes start to creep in and then you get to the heart of the fragrance where the red rose (the intense and seductive feel), ash (the dry and cold touch), and slate (the fantasy and modern twist) take over and your pushed deep into the chapters of this heavy written novel. --- Eventually at the base to polish things up I get a lot of masculine breezes from the incense, oud, mush, cashmere and vetiver which framed the fragrance a bit clean and for men. Overall, I would say there is more popup notes then dominate ones and thus why I consider it very complex. --- I know Tiziana Terenzi pitches the fragrance as a bohemian French elixir to be celebrated in the rainy autumn days of Paris painted under a Renoir canvas. But to me this smells like a requiem at a Victorian Gothic catacomb or an old ornate library in a dark castle (think American Werewolf in Paris the cemetery scene, 90’s The Crow, or Bram Stoker’s Dracula). --- Pretty much this is a night/winter fragrance for a cool event (rock concert, night club, evening dinner party wearing darker colors and a leather jacket) when you want to be more edgy and artsy while staying masculine, mature, and seductive. --- I would say it’s one issue is the opening does tend to a be little much with the heavy dose of booze and cigar combined with the very warm amber tone and spices, I can see why some people might find it overwhelming, but the dry down makes up for it (you are not paying for the opening with this fragrance, it’s all about the dry down and base). I would also argue this is not a gourmand (I can’t find any food notes in it). --- Similar fragrance is D&G The One EDP, but Laudano Nero is the intense older brother. Standout notes: absinthe, cognac, tobacco, red rose, incense, ash, agarwood (oud), amber, sandalwood, vetiver, musk and slate. Do not overspray (2-3 sprays is enough). --- A masterpiece of niche art house if you want something darker

While the brand’s reputation may be tainted for some by its more commercially successful, but perhaps less nuanced, creations like "Kirkè (Extrait de Parfum) | Tiziana Terenzi", Laudano Nero stands out... and I suspect that there will be a few more in their catalogue, which I will need to sniff soon! Laudano Nero opens with a dark and boozy accord of absinthe and cognac, warmed by a smoky/leafy tobacco. This initial burst is complex, and you may need a few wears to understand what is effectively happening. After 1 hour or so, the scent evolves into a strong note of ash and a dry slate accord emerge, creating a rather unique stony texture. This is balanced by a subtle sweetness from acacia honey and a touch of rose, which adds a velvety quality without becoming overtly floral. As the fragrance settles, a rich resinous base reveals itself. Incense, labdanum, and a woody oud provide a deep foundation, while oak and vetiver contribute an earthy, grounded quality. The overall profile is an oriental spicy fragrance that has almost a "gothic feel". I usually avoid associations, as they may be very personal... but on this occasion I can make an exception. Laudano Nero evokes a feeling of walking through a dimly lit, historic street on a rainy autumn night, with the scent of wet stone, old wood, and embers in the air. This is a perfect fragrance for autumnal weather. Considering its composition's complexity and maturity, exceptional longevity (12+ hours on skin, 24+ hours on clothes) and strong projection, Laudano Nero is nothing short of an olfactory piece of art, a dark masterpiece.

A Hidden Gem: Laudano Nero's Alluring Mystery After discovering Red Mancera, I need more tobacco-based perfumes, leading me to a recent blind purchase Laudano Nero. The fact that I snagged it at a sale price of $92 only added to my excitement, and I anticipated its arrival. Upon my first spray, I was immediately hit by a powerful oud note, a surprise that caught me off guard. I had initially mistaken it for amber, but it wasn't until I revisited my MFK Oud Silk Mood that the distinct oud aroma became evident. It's worth noting that this fragrance can be quite intense upon the initial application, and it's advisable to tread lightly if you're in the company of those who might not be ready for its boldness. What makes Laudano Nero truly remarkable is the way it ties the lingering scent of cognac with tobacco, ash, and honey. This combination creates a fragrance that is nothing short of stunning. The scent unfolds in waves, with different smells captivating different individuals. Some pick out the rich cognac, others the deep tobacco, while the oud remains an enigmatic mystery to many. Laudano Nero commands attention, yet it also shrouds itself in a dark and alluring mystique. This fragrance is intriguing, to say the least. Similar to my experiences with Red Mancera and Oud Satin Mood, Laudano Nero has grown on me, and I have developed a deep affection for it. It possesses an addictive quality, or perhaps it simply lingers on your clothes, as the scent still dances in my memory as I write this review. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Laudano Nero to anyone who seeks something captivating. Its ability to demand attention while retaining an air of mysterious darkness makes it a true gem in the world of fragrances.

Tell my family I love them and will always remember them, but Laudano Nero and I are running away together. You don't understand our forbidden love. It has vibes that remind me less of Black Afgano and to my nose-on my skin, smells like Amouage's Memoir Man and Tom Ford's Sahara Noir had a love child that was taught how to dress and flirt by it's uncle, Tierry Mugler's A-Men. It is challenging and potent. Uncompromising really. But if you let it, It will work hard for your affection. I get much more myrtle and wormwood and rose and cognac and ash and slate then the other scents. It's a gourmand and a fougere and an oriental all at once to me. "Complex" doesn't describe this adequately. Sweet and resinous and ashy and piercingly herbal. Go very easy on the trigger. ONE spray will do it. Seriously. Especially with the resinous powdery drydown, it can become overwhelming. Scent: 10/10: if you know Memoir Man and Sahara Noir and love them, then you need to buy this. Now. Longevity: 10/10: total beast mode. 10 hours or better as a notable scent on my skin and projects for most of that-if somewhat softly after a few hours. Stays on as a skin scent for the next 4-6 hours past the 10 mark, if you let it be. Lasted on a polo I wore, I kid you not, for two weeks just hanging in my closet. Softly scented after two weeks but I could still detect it. Projection: 8/10 for the first 15 minutes, then 6.5/10 for the next two or three hours, then a 4/10 at around the 6 hour mark. Absolute powerhouse performance. Sillage: 7.5/10 for the first few hours, then calms down to a respectable 3-4/10. It still turns heads. Would I buy this again? Stupid question. Hell yes.

i received the Laudano Nero today, it is not nearly as bad as i have anticipated after reading some of those negative reviews here, i was expecting to smell something funky resemble to rotten wood peeling off of some 100 years old coffin that got unearthed during the tsunami. LOL To my nose, this is like the smell of incense residue left behind on a wooden chair from Buddist temple, along with some dried out rosemary and very prominent black ink notes as the backbone of the scent, you know.... the type of pitch-black ink use for calligraphy from the far east. The combination of these vibes gave it a very dark impression, it's quite interesting and different, definitely not something for date night or anything like that, I won't say it's depressing but it is definitely not uplifting, will not enhance my mood or anything for sure. To me, I see this is more suitable for yoga or some peaceful alone time, or when you just want to drift off to no-man land. I can totally imagine a monk from the Chinese temple to smell like this. Make no mistake, this is not a crowd-pleasing scent, it is unique and different, not necessarily good or bad. Update: The more i wore this the more I'm addicted to it, something about the fungal or mushroom type smelling oud from this one is extremely addicting and intoxicating, this is completely out of the realm of the designer fragrance world, it's so pungently good it's unreal. The best outfit to pair with this one is with distressed/ripped jeans, old leather jacket, and a slick hairstyle.

At its heart Laudano Nero is a bittersweet, woody, boozy honeyed incense amber fragrance. The scent of Laudano Nero is meant to evoke Paris on a rainy autumn day, without tourists, although here everything is intensified, as though we are smelling Paris through the eyes of a laudanum addict: Vincent Van Gogh is on his second bottle of absinthe and seriously considering slicing off his ear, a 19-year-old girl from the French countryside named Marie uses laudanum to dull her mind working in a French brothel after posing for the Lefebvre painting Chloe and falling in unrequited love with the artist, and a wealthy English nobleman is taking an early 20th century Grand Tour, sipping cognac and smoking a pipe on a street corner while keeping an eye out for what secrets lie beneath and within Montmatre’s cobblestone streets. Strength and longevity is huge, exceeding fragrances such as Ambra Aurea, Tobacco Vanille and Angel: several small dabs from a Luckyscent tester and Laudano Nero was cloying for the next two hours. Laudano Nero is a challenging fragrance, although strangely enough one I’ve been complimented on: by a chain-smoking woman in her fifties, good at heart and unafraid to speak her mind. If Laudano Nero were a movie, it would be From Hell. As it stands it’s the next best thing to moving to Paris, developing a laudanum addiction and creating great works of art that will only be appreciated after your death from a laudanum overdose in a Montmartre gutter.

I am obsessed with perfumes. As a matter of fact, I am so obsessed that every now and then I feel like grabbing 3 or 4 of my favorite ones and simply spray them all on me so that I can drown myself in bliss . . . But then I realize I am 47 years old and perhaps I should get serious. Upon discovering, spraying & sniffing Laudano Nero, my olfactory space-time continuum came to a halt. I found myself suspended within a stationary universe of unprecedented euphoria. Even if I had dreamt of this scent, it would still not be that good. Laudano Nero is (to me) a familiar yet unique blend of some of my most beloved accords. I detect the densely aromatic boozy opening of Idole de Lubin (edp), the aroma of sun dried fresh tobacco leaves in 1740 (or Tobacco Oud), the tamed sweet oud note in Black Oud (LM Parfums) and/or Black Afgano and finally some leathery animalic nuances reminiscent of Montecristo. Laudano Nero not only encompasses all of the above but successfully elevates them to a higher level of quality, refinement & sophistication. From its opening to its everlasting drydown the complexity of its composition never ceases to challenge the senses. All of its main accords are ingeniously complemented by notes of fresh coffee, dark chocolate, warm amber & aged dusty woods that enhance the richness, the opulence & the mystery of its aroma. Laudano Nero is a good excuse (for me) to be obsessed with undiscovered perfumery. 10/10

Laudano Nero is nowhere near as forbidding as some of these reviews would suggest. I confess I was apprehensive to begin with. I had the scrubbing brush to hand, in case I was overwhelmed by the sheer weight of notes in the perfume pyramid, but taking the sensible precaution of spraying lightly, not only facilitates a gradual exposure to its power, but also shows consideration to partners, workmates and the general public, who are not yet in on the experiment. As a veteran of various assaults on the senses from Amouage and a survivor of the worst that Beaufort has thrown at me, I found the initial impact of Laudano Nero strangely familiar : yes, there's an "Ooomph" as the alcohol note hits; a bit of acridity, a hint of the barnyard perhaps. But then some warm and familiar tobacco and leather notes begin to emerge. As an an habitué of Santa Maria Novella's Peau d'Espagne and Marescialla, I felt I was on familiar ground. Then, in the dry down, this sampling turned into a New Year's Eve Review of my Perfume Year: there are hints of all my favourite notes (incense ... honey ... wood ... vetiver) in the unfolding of this wonderful fragrance. The experience reminded me of why I was drawn to this hobby in the first place: the restless (and risky) search for the fulfilment of olfactory desire and the thrilling discovery of a delightful place to which I know I can return, when needed, again and again and again.

Laudano Nero... I love the name. A dark fragrance, in the same universe as Encre Noire, but a very different kind of ‘dark.’ The opening hit me like homemade brandy or absinthe – boozy, sharp, and challenging. It’s something you have to accept before the real magic begins. Once that fades, Laudano Nero truly comes alive: a shadowy, ashy scent with a subtle sweetness, still keeping its herbal and somber character. Some people describe it as ‘churchy,’ but on my skin I don’t get heavy incense. The opening has that boozy note with a trace of refined tobacco, wrapped in amber and myrtle. After a couple of hours, the fragrance shifts: iris, rose, and acacia honey come forward, armored with rosemary and ashes, with faint whispers of sandalwood and cedar. The drydown is a woody vanilla—slightly church-like, sinister, yet full of character. It’s easily the most complex fragrance in my collection: an older brother to Lalique’s Encre Noire, and a distant cousin to Nasomatto Black Afgano. Performance is nuclear. It fills and dominates a room effortlessly. Packaging was pleasant—not Xerjoff-luxury, but more than fair for the price. Overall, a masterpiece from Tiziana Terenzi, and I can’t wait to explore more from the house.

My first Niche frag...The opening is great if u want to be smelling like priest or a church....Drydown is better like some honey cognac not impressed...that is just my review...i did blind buy it and i dont think ic worth....mayb it will age in a good way....longevity is not beast mode 6hr...projection like 4hr (projection is rly good on this one cant lie)....Dont blind buy be smart, unlike me....paid it 105Euros and i am happier with my shitty clone ones ....myb it will grow on me (and performace may increase) will update. Update.. I do like it now and ic different...Unlike any other winter frag that is lasting long time with loud projection this is not as sweet...Noticed that i don't go nose blind as usually with some strong frags...It is well crafted ,this is my first experience with Frankincense in a perfume and i am not a huge fan of it butt ic not overwhelming at drydown...Winter night (special occasion scent, date). so the 100ml bottle and me will hanging around quite a while...Ic weary manly and different not for young lads..Ladies will not be a huge fan of it cos most of them like sweet frags (Jpg Elixir,One Mill....), But I am.

This is a BOSS perfume... wow!!! Tobacco, ashy, oak, oud, incense all there for me and smell lovely on me. Finally, my perfume-consuming skin has met its match in a good way. Sillage is there, which is a rarity for me. I am surrounded by a cloud of Laudano Nero and I leave a trail :) This might be the only time I say this about a perfume--- it is one to wear when you are out and about to give this one some breathing room. This is not for everybody but if you have a certain type of skin that tames fragrances and you dont mind smelling bomb (and maybe choking a few people out) this is really an experience. It is an imaginative scent that increases my memory of my day when I wear it. It is the equivalent of playing a soundtrack to your day but in perfume form. Thanks @Bjford26 for the alert on Amazon... I took advantage of the price. I recently purchased the perfume called flamenco from from ramon monegal and it didnt remind me of any of the passion and intensity that is flamenco but laudano nero definately enters that realm of intensity, motion, and passion.

How beautiful are the endings... when things reach a state of stillness and silence. Beautiful endings always require wonderful beginnings. An opening that is like entering one of the dark volcanic caves that have been abandoned since time immemorial. Worn-looking wooden barrels for aging white cognac, topped with huge, thick leaves of tobacco, flamed by hot drops of amber mixed with honey that drips like tears falling from threads hanging from the ceiling, and nearby are scattered pieces of hot wood cooked by the heat of the volcanic lava. What an opening! What a welcome! Can flowers reach this place? Whether the answer is yes or no, thick incense laden with the pungent aroma of Indian oud oil is the element most worthy of appearing in a place like this. Everything written about the components of this perfume, other than what was mentioned, is nothing but a mirage that will quickly pass you by before your sight perceives it or your nose catches it. I hesitated for a long time before buying this fragrance. And when I say a long time — I truly mean it. Laudano Nero fascinated me, yet at the same time intimidated me with its reputation of being dark, heavy and intense. I kept asking myself: Is this too much for me? Eventually, I took the leap — and I haven’t regretted a single moment. This is not a casual scent. This is a fragrance with depth, soul and presence. The opening is smoky, dark, almost mystical — like stepping into an ancient wooden temple filled with incense and resin. As it develops, a rich warmth of vanilla, labdanum and spices emerges, all perfectly blended into a powerful, almost hypnotic composition. Laudano Nero doesn’t try to please everyone — and that is exactly its beauty. Wearing it means leaving a statement. It’s not for everyone, but for those who understand it, it becomes an addiction. An outrageous animalic, almost fruity shriek of labdanum, oud & tobacco sounds off in the middle of an infinite euclidian plane of amorphous amber, booze, honey and wood, reverberating outwards. Everything dark that follows feels like a reaction to such a sudden grotesque occurrence that is at the same time stylized and camp, like the antics of a queer-coded villain. Yet amidst the grand gesturing a fine powdery & slightly camphorous aspect emerges in the drydown, allowing everything to blur and cool into a more wearable state, like a solemnly recounted version of the preceding drama. It's screaming Sasha Velour frozen into Edvard Munch's The Scream. The offensive opening borders on off-putting for me, but what still makes Laudano Nero unique and intriguing overall in my collection is the bold, festering richness of its fumes, the thick opulent amber base, the limp-wristed, billowing menace posed by its weird dramatic arc. P.S. Rank body odor seems to meld seamlessly with this one.

My favorite dark fragrance from the house.There's a lot going on but the sum of the parts are wood, resin, incense ash, iris, oud and slate. It's really unique and doesn't smell like anything else on the market but if I had to pick, it's got a little tobacco oud and a little black afgano. The slate is a very interesting concept to me, and it really comes through accurately. Earthy but not in a soil or rooty way. It's very dusty and dry like slate. I imagine the earths crust and mantle. When you drive a road tunneled through rock terrain or a carved out mountain and you see the rock layers. Maybe even a tombstone or a dry cave vibe with incense and wood 🪨 It's sweetened up slightly and made more palatable by the honey and tonka, but is also smells like goey resins and incense. Darker stuff that should probably be worn at night in cool to cold temps. Not so niche that you cannot wear in public. Signature scent if you're into gothic 🌚🪦 I "dig" this! Scent 8.5/10 Performance 8.5/10

Love this. Outstanding. YES, strong. YES lasts forever. My clothes need two washes to get it out. Sampled it while I was zooming through a European city and didn't order until I got home to the US. Rich, dimensional, every note in the pictogram above is indeed in it. It's all the amber accords and labdanum you can stand, amped up to 10. And what I love most: something pungent, stanky, hypnotic, terrible-and-yet-I-want-to-smell-more. I know it well: the ketone smell your body makes when you have been working out very very hard--. We are mammals, programmed to respond to smelly excretions of other mammals, and this note makes you come back for more. Maybe you don't believe me, but that's the whole point behind classic stinky notes like castoreum, ambergris (when it's not yet gris), and indole (SO NASTY!). The tiniest bit of funk makes all the difference. You must be ready for this stuff, not for teens, or the faint of heart.

I was searching for a fragrance similar to my beloved but sadly discontinued Tom Ford Tobacco Oud and fragrantica recommended this one. It was also voted as similar to another favorite of mine Mancera Red Tobacco. Well I finally got it right in time for fall and it has become my new fall/winter signature immediately. I actually like it even better than Tobacco Oud or Red Tobacco and that isn't easy to admit. I'm not too surprised because I love two other fragrances I've purchased from the house Ursa, an animalic and hard to pull off yet absolutely gorgeous if worn in the right temperature with the right outfit and Orion which is basically an Aventus inspired chypre. Not quite a clone though which is why I really like it. Laudano Nerro has superb performance and basically checks all the boxes. I got it for a steal at $100. Practically unheard of for a niche fragrance of this quality.

It took me several wears before this one started hitting my nose right. A somewhat challenging wear super smokey and dark, but so layered and beautiful. The dry down is somewhat sweet with incense smoke, heavy wood somewhat reminiscent of Gucci Pour Homme, there are some green notes peaking through as well. It is just so beautiful and reminiscent of a niche version of Boss Bottled Absolu. This is what I imagined Amouage Interlude Man would smell like. Longevity is phenomenal, easily over 12 hours on skin, forever on clothing. I tend to classify most of my frags as unisex, typically leaning one way or the other, but I would say this one is definitely masculine. I would not wear this anytime except cold weather, possibly rainy days as well. This is a banger and the price is great too, I paid more for some of my designer frags. 89/100

I never realized this had become a full-on genre of perfumery, and my favourite one as it turns out: the post-Tobacco Oud masculine sweet animalic (alongside Black Afgano, several Orto Parisi’s, and in simplified designer form in Dark Rebel Rider). These are perfumes that make me want to gnaw the skin where they’re sprayed; scents that could attract wolves; ritual fragrances for the activation of male sexual energy (ew? ... well, best to know what you’re getting into here). And maybe it’s just pride of ownership but I think Laudano Nero is their Dark Prince - swooningly rich and resinous, eternal and powerful without any nagging synthetic edge. Both chocolatey sweet and growlingly animalistic. My new second skin, I don it in the heat of summer, become one with the brooding beast, and set off slouching towards the grocery store.

Great presentation with packaging. Box is nice and sturdy and it feels like you’re opening an Apple product. I sprayed my hand immediately and was hit with tobacco and that boozy accord. Shortly thereafter you smell that soft vanilla scent. First, I must say “this is my favorite scent profile.” I love a good boozy/tobacco fragrance. Definitely for the more mature audience and evening wear. It’s a home run with this brand. I sprayed my hand at 3PM and at nearly midnight, after several handwashing’s, you can smell it STRONGLY if you put your nose to it. It is powerful. Is it worth a blind buy? Are you over 35? Do you enjoy boozy/tobacco scents? Do you want to smell unique? Is around $100 for 100ml a good price for you (discounters)? Then, HELL YEAH! Definitely in my top ten

It has a Oscar de la renta pour lui/ Chanel antaeus vibe for me, but with 2/3 hours of a heavy incense note in the beginning. When I first spray it on it seems light but at the half hour mark it starts its heavy projection. In the beginning I get the boozy note that slowly fades away. My anosmic to everything girlfriend could smell the incense cloud in the first 4 hours, after that it starts to melow and I get that antaeus/oscar de la renta sweetness. It has big lasting power, I put it on at 18 pm last night and now 9 am next morning it's still a skin scent. Conclusion: Big lasting power, big projection for 4 hours and then it mellows, if you like incense scents and Chanel antaeus/ pour lui/ beefy scents, this one is for you. For me its 9,5/10

Gorgeous amber-oud with soft spice and dry woods. I get the vibes of a cavernous ancient library with old books with faded covers and discolored edges, ornate bookcase carvings, vaulted ceilings, and deep red carpeting to dampen the echos. I received a sample the other day, and have fallen head-over-heels for it. It's gothic and mysterious, yet quiet and incredibly sophisticated. Safe blind buy for oud lovers. It's neither skanky, medicinal, nor barn-yard - just dark old woods. UGH. SO GOOD. ::swoon:: Edit: I immediately bought a full bottle after a couple days of wearing my sample. This is the gothic masterpiece I've been searching for! Think Countess Elizabeth Báthory reclining in the smoking ruins of the Library of Alexandria.

Definitely a strong resemblance to Tobacco Oud especially in the beginning, which is great because TO is one of my favourite fragrances and as it's being discontinued I'll be purchasing this one. This one has the strong incensey oud similar to Tobacco Oud, but then it dries down to a more sweet fruity cognac with the incense and oud in the background. Natural smelling, beautifully crafted fragrance. Tiziana Terenzi is really underrated and has become one of my favourite houses since I discovered them a few months ago. All of the ones I've tried have smelled really high quality and sophisticated. Sometimes you can get them for great prices at discounters (due to them being underrated) and then it's a bargain! 10/10

Nose Note #882 This is just awesome. The most realistic cognac in a fragrance that I've smelled and without having the literal alcohol fumes. In a way it reminds me of Stercus with its quasi Black Afgano vibes and strange sweetness, but here it's more like raisins without smelling like By Killian Straight to Heaven. I guess that's all there is to it. Really cool cognac accord. Pretty linear. I wouldn't say performance is eternal at all. Long lasting - confidently, but nothing overwhelming. Just beautiful, very beautiful. Nicely masculine. Mature. Different. Something new. Very evocative. Not blind buy safe of course. This is purely niche. 8.2/10, very special

Deep, Dark & Delicious. I don't think this is for novice noses though, unless they really like complex smells. This has a very long list of ingredients and they meld together like ancient alchemy to put me in a place of deep peace and contemplation. This is the first scent that made me fall in love with the Terenzi brand. I get the Wormwood, cognac, rosemary, tobacco, amber, sandalwood, ash, slate, laurels, incense, agarwood, (and I normally hate oud) oak, vanilla and labdanum. I really love the strong cognac beginning and the labdanum throughout, and the laurels are one of my favorite parts. This, to me, is the meaning of Masterpiece. An Art de Triomphe!

Laudano Nero, the enigma of my collection, at first sniff I was mindblown. This stuff is complex, potent, unique, and smells quite amazing off my skin. I have a hard time even describing this gem. My closest fragrance compared to it would be Encre Noire Al'extreme. However LN is far better blended, develops much less linear, and is even more smoky and resinous than the lalique. At first I didn't think I would find very many opportunities to wear such an elegant fragrance, but now after wearing it a dozen or so times, I find it to be a nice wear when it's cool out and I want something complex challenging and unique. 8.5 out of 10

My earlier laudatory reviews of this are based on a small decant I had. Turns out, after buying a full bottle, this decant I had seems to come from a different batch/formulation. The juice in the full bottle I now have seems to be watered down in the lower note register. There's noticeably less of both the floral aspect and the oily, glistening honeyed vanillic sweetness that radiates from the heat of the skin, they really simplified this to project mainly the ashy bitter nottes. The complexity and developement in time is no longer there, the perfume now leans just dry and linear, with less staying power. What a disappointment.

A real masterpiece, with a capital letter! Piece of art. Perhaps the most lasting and powerful scent I have ever tried. Ash, tar, amber, cognac... The coals are still smoldering, smoking, and on the marble floor there is an overturned glass with spilled brandy. Very thick, the wood of a cognac barrel for the first 10 minutes is no different from the smell of real cognac. After this comes incense, then oud and labdanum, then tobacco appears. Then the sweetness of vanilla, amber and calmer notes of sandalwood appear. Longevity and sillage are excellent, just one spray is enough. I recommend it to fans of heavy artillery.

Dirty hot. NSFW unless you're a performer, musician, artist, sex worker - you get my meaning. This is the magic I expected from Tom Ford, but that Black Orchid didn't deliver on. Laudano Nero has that organic, magnetic power, that almost palpable warmth drawing you in despite its initial burnt sharpness. Gorgeous opening in honeyed, boozy tobacco with a very light herbal, almost medicinal tint to it. Then wood and ash sweetening into a tasteful incensy floral scent with hidden depths of oud, vanilla and musk. Lovely. Unisex but confidence is a must. Need extra charisma points for a special occasion? Go for it.

All of those notes make up a true masterpiece. A dry, slightly sweet incense fragrance that is dark and mysterious. Several notes to make a piece of art is a requirement for me. I also don’t follow trends of “winter scents”, no such thing. Today will be 91 degrees and I am wearing this. A true mesmerizing scent that smells like nothing else. It emboldens mystery and uniqueness. This bottle will last a lifetime as it is very long lasting and projects quite well, esp in the heat, it behaves a little more different and brings out other notes of vanilla and musk. This house is phenomenal.

I love this fragrance. If you want everyone to misbehave then this is the fitting choice. Extremely dark, dense, earthy and masculine tobacco. It’s not particularly dry but it’s devoid of any sweetness. This draws similarity to Tobacco Oud but its much more raw, animalic and unrefined. This reminds me of a werewolf. The darkest fragrance ever, paired with a boozy accord. WARNING: this will overpower any other fragrance. I sprayed black incense Malaki and black Afgano and one spray of this has completely overshadowed the other two. Such a lovely, authentic tobacco. I’m in love.

This is a really great fragrance with an awesome performance and a unique scent profile. Its like Bently for Men Intense, Tom Ford Tobacco Oud, and Nasomatto Black Afgano all had been blended together and added a bit of ash on top. Its very mysterious, bald, and alluring. The longevity is for weeks on your clothes and it projects beautifully especially in fall and winter. I received an 8ml sample of this in a twist up sprayer (I love this style of sprayer because the mist is on point) a few days ago and after reading many reviews I cannot believe this hasn’t been compared to ELDOs True Lust, on me I get it the exact same incense, animalic, musty vibe I get from True Lust which I adore! Eldos juice might be a tad thicker/sweeter while Laudano is more dusty musky. When I had my sister smell it on my wrist she said it smelled nice but that I had been in our grandmothers basement for a few hours ̄_(ツ)_/ ̄ I love this 10/10 for me

Love it! The opening is too strong and unpleasant, but that lasts only for like 5 to 10 mins. Then it gets quite pleasant. It sweetens up a little bit after around 30 min and then it is just beautiful. Very ambery and resinous. Can't tell whether it is due to the oud or labdanum or incense. There is a mild sweetness coming from the vanilla and the honey, maybe the tobacco as well. Can't identify any of the other notes. Lasts quite long. Projects as much as i would want it to. Dark and smoky fragrances really appeal to me.

This perfume will have all the goth girls staring you down... it also ages with grace. The longer it sits, the better it gets, maceration is real. One thing to note, this is a fragrance that smells a lot better when it comes to you, same to whoever smells the trail it leaves. It will smell a lot different and more challenging if you just put your nose right up to where you sprayed it. Niche perfumery has a tendency to do that. It’s perfectly sweet, boozy, dry, incense, woody, and dark. One of the best from the house

The scent is incredibly overwhelming (in a good way) and makes it incredibly hard to pick out certain notes except the Oud. Cognac, Chocolate and Iris. Incredibly well-blended. It does not disappear from your clothing ever; two months after trying it out, my jacket still smells of it. Projection is moderate but the longevity is insane. A bit challenging in the opening but after an hour, it smells like you're in Italy in front of a Cognac-infused chocolate fountain. Highly recommend. Price: about $120 (discounters)

I'm comparing this one to TF tobacco oud cuz I don't have black afgano It starts with the nice bitter, very bitter sweet smoky woody opening from the cogniac and incence.. The tobacco and oud here are so similar to the TF but this one is drier.. Idk why but TF did feel like wet tobacco woods smell.. This one is absolutely drier.. Its nice but I'm not crazy about it.. Everyone liked it on me but I don't think they would use it themselves Of course its purely for men.. Smell is so masculine tbh

O sweet boozy resinous tobacco woody amber smokey love~ you had me at cognac - everytime i get a whiff of myself - i fall in love again. Forever love or at least until the next best sweet tobacco amber smokey woody fragrance comes a long. Definitely a fragrance of the times but good lordy it smells divine. This fragrance reminds me of a cigar humidor full of cigars some which are dipped in honey, waiting for peeps to choose one while i sip on cognac - man im cool with this fragrance on! :)

My new signature! I wear this every season except summer and I bloody love it, so complex, brooding and dark. So many nuances and it changes so much. Performance is 10+ hours every wearing and strong projection for 3 hours then good projection for another 2 hours then moderate projection for rest of the time. Legit doesn't even become a skin scent. I use legit 1 spray on my neck in spring and it works - compliment getter too somehow but i feel it works with my skin and my appearance too

This is not unisex to my nose. This is very masculine, the initial spray can be off putting but give it a 30 seconds and that’s where it smells awesome, definitely can tell this has high quality and very well blended. If you are new to the fragrance world I can see a lot of people not liking this. If you are deep into your fragrance journey you will appreciate this fragrance for its great quality and smell! I picked up a bottle for 130$ And it is well worth the price! If not more.

For a while I've been looking for a fragrance that exhibits darkness: musty corridors & blackened annals of history type of vibe. This perfume checks all the boxes: incense, smoke, damp wood, rotted oud. Sweet touches here and there, rum. A drydown that smells like bile, heartburn and ammonia. Organic debris in waste canals. I think this fragrance has shown me that next direction to look is somewhere more abstract, maybe the warlock's tower, maybe just somewhere off the streets.

Rum raisin ice cream is the first thing that come to mind when I first smelled it. There's definitely a lot going on when you get into the nuances, but I'd say rum raisin ice cream is the best description for this one. The performance is good, but not as great as people have been describing. Also, this bears very little resemblance to Black Afgano in my opinion. Much sweeter and less heavy on the incense. None of this is a knock on the fragrance, it's great.

This is exquisite. STRONG and highly addictive. Very dark. Realistic boozy at the top with incense, tobacco. The slate is apparent and interesting. A female could pull it off, but I think it’s very masculine. For the price, it’s the best quality fragrance I’ve owned. My go-to at home, for myself fragrance. Wearing it out requires a matching occasion, like a seance, zombie apocalypse or just Halloween. Unless you’re a vampire. Then, this is your signature

Nowhere near as weird as many reviewers would have you believe. On my skin, it's not some dark, gothic, vampire thing. Instead, it's a dark, sexy, boozy, smoky grown man scent. The slate note makes a not-uncommon scent profile, sexier & more unique. HIGHLY recommended & a compliment monster, in my experience. Best suited for cooler weather & nights, but I tested a single spray in a tropical environment, and it got plenty of love from those nearby.

Dark, boozy, gothic and mysterious. Incredibly smooth and very potent. The oud here is woody and spicy, while the ash and incense surround it to give a darkness to it that is both mysterious yet also sweet accompanied by the other notes. Lovely all around, but it's a very acquired taste so definitely not good for blind buying. It also needs to be worn in very special occassions and 2 sprays max because it genuinely is a beast!
