Mirach

Tiziana Terenzi has slowly crept its way into my 5 favorite houses ever since I discovered Chimaera years ago, so when I saw someone below list Mirach as one of Paolo's best and in the same league as Chimaera I was immediately intrigued. Upon first spray of this one, it did not disappoint. Its not an easy feat to stand out in the over-saturated rose/oud market, but Mirach is definitely unique enough to warrant sampling (and in my opinion owning). The best way I can describe Mirach is a pink rose on a bed of easily wearable oud, vanilla, and sandalwood with light resins, spices, and florals supporting the main notes. Unlike some rose/ouds in which the oud jumps out at you and battles for control with its rose counterpart, in Mirach the oud is clearly a supporting note that adds character and depth to the composition as a whole. Neroli is clearly present in the opening and it adds a touch of brightness and "pop" before receding into the background by the time Mirach reaches its middle stages. As it dries down, a gorgeous vanilla/benzoin combo begins to really shine through the fragrance, and this is where Mirach is at its best. I'm not quite sure how Paolo was able to create a sand accord, but there is definitely something in the mid that conjures a grainy/sandy texture that beautifully contrasts the creaminess from the vanilla/benzoin/sandalwood. A great chef knows how to use contrasting flavors to balance out a dish, and Paolo Terenzi definitely used this approach in Mirach. Some of the parts of Mirach, such as the dryness of the sandalwood or the slight sourness of the ambergris, would be overpowering if not added with a masters touch. However, Mirach escapes ever crossing any of these lines, and in turn becomes something much greater than just the sum of its parts. If you can't tell by now, its a love for me and another reason to push Tiziana Terenzi slightly higher on my list of favorite houses. For the record, performance is excellent as well. Mirach lasts upwards of 10 hours on skin and days on clothes, with huge projection for the first 3 hours before settling into a nice scent bubble around the wearer. Scent 9.5/10 Performance 9/10 Uniqueness 9.5/10 Overall 9.5/10 Definitely worth sampling for anyone that loves rose or creamy vanilla/benzoin combos. Also would be an excellent introduction to oud for someone looking to try an oud fragrance that won't offend any untrained noses.

This oud opens up with a burst of almost fecal and definitely animalic smell when I put my nose next to my skin, but it disappears in less than 10-20 seconds. Yes, I did take a shower.. Afterwards, it's a soft woody funky oud centric fragrance. Then it gradually dries and dries until it becomes a muuuuuch cleaner oud floral smell. Unlike other ouds that are sharper, this one is quite different and softer/smoother. Like all TT fragrances, this one is quite airy and ethereal. Definitely not the best oud rose that I have smelled. I like a more prominent rose smell, but this one the oud takes the front seat, while I feel that the rose is still there but in the back as a supporting role. There is a very minor sensual and sweet skin smell that I can't really describe. It's almost fruity floral vanilla but not quite. It's a great little backdrop and I can barely notice it unless again, I put my nose to it. This one doesn't have monstrous projection, which is quite nice. I'm not sure how others are getting crazy projection. It has great longevity, but it stays within arm's length for me. Normally, we see it the other way around with the rose much much bigger. I feel that Mr. Terenzi has used the right amount of oud in this one. I love Electimuss Rhodanthe, Nicolai's Rose Oud, Unique'e Woud and Mood, a ton of Arabian Oud offerings, and Oud Extrait by MFK, but my exposure to rose oud is still quite limited as I do believe there is always the undiscovered holy grail out there. My favorites so far are from Arabian Oud and Woud and Mood by Unique'e (a Beverly Hills Perfumery exclusive). This one does not resemble any of the aforementioned by any means. There is a sea of fragrances, yet I only have this one nose!

A Special Gift From the luxurious packaging, to an even more luxurious smell. This is so special, it will make you feel more radiant each time you wear it. Let's admit it, we all need this at certain times and certainly in these times. The neat thing about gold is it shines, and this scent is golden. Whether it is rainy or if it is luminously bright outside, gold shines. Even in the dark, it will glitter with just the hint of light. As such, I would call this "Golden Oud". The current trend I have noticed in modern perfumery is to tame the funk of oud by ambery accords of vanilla and benzoin, whereas in the past rose was the prominent tool(still is). I think of Alexandria 2, which masterfully does this. Dare I say, TT does it better here? The big bold smell uses classic combos and modernizes them. 2 by 2. Two roses, two ouds, two "sweeteners", 2 classics, 2 supporting notes - masterfully blended. The surprise is how fresh the scent is. It is suitable for warmer weather wear as many other similar frags become cloying in the heat. Now the fact that this is not as popular as other oud's is amazing, however this means it can now be bought at discounted prices. That is special. The world at times will seem dreary, so when we can be uplifted by scent - isn't that wonderful? There is hope 4.73/5

Big rose --a couple of types, but I cannot distinguish them, they are blended too well. Big oud--a couple of types, they are distinguishable. The first is clean and a little bit camphorous, which lends the scent a fresh note that expands it wearability into warmer weather. The second is funky and animalic and emerges later in the progression of the scent. Big saffron--adding a leather note to the rose and oud. Complemented by a melange of spices. This scent is rich and warm. Big performance--tremendous longevity and strong projection mean discretion is needed when you spray. Many hours into the progression, a vanilla amber accord and some wood notes support the lingering rose oud. It is exceptionally lovely. The presentation is blingy and ultra-luxury. This is an elegant rose oud fragrance that is sometimes available heavily discounted and when it is discounted, it is a very worthwhile purchase for lovers of animalic, luxury oud scents. Recommended.

Mirach is absolutely amazing in the opening, delicate roses, neroli, wood/oud, patchouli, and vanilla are the prominent notes in the dry down. All the notes are well balanced, none of them really stood out from one another. The oud is very soft and smooth in the background as a supporting role, sort of like a shadow, i could only get a hint of it every now and then. The oud is not the barnyard or fecal type oud, ZERO skankiness from the oud here. Overall performance and longevity is good, on my skin i get 7 to 8hr with moderate projection and sillage. I like this one as much as the Chimaera, this is another masterpiece from Terenzi, suitable for both men and women, most definitely unisex. Very sophisticated, seductive, and classy. I would wear this year-round, go light on the sprayer in summer. An excellent choice for date night or formal events. Mirach is a must-have for me from this house, ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!

Two points: Firstly, one of the besst dry downs ever. Secondly, Super Beast mode, Do Not over spray this. Every time I sampled it at the Boutique it was like ‘hmm nice’ but when i came home and kept the tester strips on the table for a while I kept getting a whiff of an unusual scent which was very pleasant I sniffed and it was this. Second time same thing happened so I pulled the trigger and got FB. The sales people were super nice and gave me 30% discount courtesy of store itself and I was a bit less worried as it is maaad expensive. But I’d say it is worth it as it is extrait de parfum, when I use it I literally do only One spray. Notes I agree with what everyone’s written below, white oudh is the most prominent to my nose alongwith rose and some saffron. Love this beauty!

Luxurious smelling creamy white oudy-woody scent with no sweetness. Has definately a middleeastern vibe and you can smell the high quality ingredients here. There is no funk in this scent and the oud is a bit white oud vibe. The rose is not jammy and blends perfectly in this scent. The sillage and dry down is where the magic is as the opening is a bit more challenging. More cool weather appropriate for sure. I dont agree with Miller Harris Scherzo resembalnce, its a different scent but a distant cousin. Two of my friends smelled it and they said: "Reminds us of Dubai, the rich people there". Finally, I loved the rich vibes it gives so happy to have it and will be a stable in my collection. Stunning presentation.

Of the twelve scents I have tried from this brand, this is the best so far. Notes seem correct. Airy woody notes, ambergris and a very elegant light rose are the most prominent notes. Not a summer scent, but even on a summer's evening this is beautiful. It is a hundred miles away from your average rose/oud. Airy, super elegant, absolutely unisex. The wood is clean, non-skanky and far better blended than most Tiziana Terenzi scents which (in my opinion) often are overpowered by heavy woods/oud. Sexy, but in a non explicit kind of way. Smelling this in the air will make you curious. For the price at the discounters, this is a bargain. Sillage is ok, longevity is fantastic. 95/100 points.

Such a beautiful scent and more feminine leaning scent. I was surprised that on my skin and to my nose that it comes up like a deeper version of Scherzo. I’m not mad as Scherzo is so hard to find in my country. I have both and wear both. Scherzo is more crystalline and will get worn when warmer. It’s winter here and it’s delicious. Mirach has a velvety texture more definition and is wonderous in the cold. On my skin the oudh is clean and not overly pronounced (I seem to wear oudh well regardless) and adds some darkness and a little staticky powder to the dark pink rose. It’s sweet but not sickly. For me almost a fruity sweet. Just delicious. Sample as always and enjoy.

A gorgeous absolute beast of a rose driven Oriental. The perfume almost immediately transports you to an Arabian garden of roses in the middle of the desert. It opens with a monstrous Damascan rose surrounded by hints of saffron, nutmeg and neroli. The heart has more rose with ambergris and patchouli. The perfume settles into a powdery base of sandalwood, oud, vanilla and benzoin. It’s like drowning in an ocean of jammy roses. With this feminine leaning monster of a scent, one has to be prepared to stop trains. Enormous sillage, projection and longevity. Please enjoy sparingly!

Purchased a FB of Mirach at the beginning of the year, and finally decided to wear it this evening. Oh my, Oh my, Oh my... Mirach is such a gorgeous rose scent and the oud in it is so beautiful. The rose opens with a freshness and dries down to sweet and spicy notes. Although the oud is not loud, it serves as an anchor to the rose and other notes. It's so smooth and really rounds out the fragrance. I will be wearing this throughout the fall and winter.

Absolutely stunning. It's such a great mix of rose with a creamy sweet textures and a hint of oud at the back not skanky at all. Really smooth but a bit dense. This has become one of my favourite rose and oud fragrances right now and it's such an underrated gem. Thankfully you can find it for a very good price because of it and not pay retail.

the warmth of the fine sands slipping through your fingers, exquisite rose notes, oud, vanilla... it's like a dream. I liked it so much that I don't want anyone to know the name of this beauty. I think it's one of the most underrated works of the brand. while other people are busy with kirke, you will smell the real quality here. LOVE.

I like this fragrance, but it comes off to me as a darker version of sauvage elixir. Great scent, but not terribly original.

A strong rose-oud with an underneath of creaminess (probably the sandalwood and saffron) and a bit of funky effervescence from the benzoin and ambergris I believe. I'd say this leans a touch too feminine for me given the strength and style of the rose note in this particular one but I enjoyed sampling it.

I have a small decant of this fragrance. This is not for the faint of heart.. it's very oudy and strong but the drydown turns sweeter. I don't see myself pulling this off but might work for others. It has that Terinzi quality if you get what I'm talking about.

Definitely a white oud fragrance. Doesn't have that dark, rich oud-y smell. The Amber is prominent on initial spray then it becomes this superb blend of light oud and Amber, nothing more. Very sophisticated and leans me feminine to my nose.

Even though the sand accord is more or less a fantasy concept here, the general association it provokes is actually quite accurate. Sand and powdery rose talc are the heart of this perfume. Other words that may come to one's mind are "oriental", "matronly", "reserved". I have two problems with this fragrance: I can almost feel the hot desert wind and then sand in my mouth and also: this is a better quality, elevated version of Fire by Oriflame that I had as a kid. Plus the sand. And this is actually a bit disappointing.

A long-lasting rose scent, accompanied by oud; the opening is a bit harsh, a little synthetic, but not unpleasant. There are rose scents out there, but those looking for a strong, lasting rose fragrance might want to consider this.
