Poggia

When I smelt Poggia, it immediately made me feel at home with its familiar feminine soft peachy side. It reminded me of a perfume from M Micallef, called Night Aoud, which has the same chypre vibes and the ylang+peach+citrus combo, but it is garnished with oud and woodsy notes, while here you have rosemary and apple and rose (blended perfectly) to add uplifting coolness and “modern” musks to add a soapy touch - the combination of which is suggestive of a touch of aldehydes (which I’m suspecting to be actually present in Poggia, as I get Chanel 5 vibes under T Terenzi’s Draco). I really like Poggia. I also have Draco. I’m very picky about peach in perfumes - it is a very tricky note for me - either annoying with how synthetic it could be, or it’s too fruity and smells cheap, but usually the worst is when it smells boring because it feels dated. Draco is one of my favorite peach-based perfumes and Poggia is a more elaborate Draco. Because of it I’m not certain yet that owning both perfumes is justified, but it is definitely tempting, since I like both for the same reasons. Poggia is absolutely divine - worth taking your time with it, but not worth its retail price. It grows on you, like every Terenzi’s fragrance that you might have initially dismissed but came back to obtain after recognizing its quality and worth. If you wished that Evasion was wearable nowadays, if you can’t stand Chanel 5 and feels too mature for you, but you admired its class and you wished something modern and versatile - I think Poggia is a good option for you.

I had a test of this , It smelled like a Negroni that been made in a high-end cocktail bar ! Which make sense Bergamot ( Gin ) Orange (Campari ) Orange peel ( Campari & Garnish ) Vanilla and musk ( Sweet vermouth )

A super burst of very sour lemon quickly followed by a soapy ambergris. Did not get much of the other fruity notes at all. The ambergris takes hold it reminds me of a hot pretzel...is that weird?? Nice sillage that lasts for hours. I like it and it's longevity but sampling several of the others in this collection to find "my" scent mostly because I would like one of these beautiful bottles in my collection.

Poggia is an Italian nautical term meaning “to sail with the wind.” The opening is a classic citrus accord. Lemon, bergamot, and orange weave together to create a bright, tangy start—slightly bitter rather than juicy. The peach isn’t very noticeable; it works more as a buffer that softens the sharpness of the citrus. The transition into the heart happens fairly quickly. The creamy aspect of ylang-ylang appears, adding a hint of warmth. The rose is more subdued, while the sweet-sour touch of passion fruit is faintly present, though the overall impression still leans cool. Rosemary’s herbal spiciness stands out quite clearly, which is probably where the soapy nuance many people mention comes from. The drydown is built around musk, amber, and vanilla. Powdery musk dominates the finish, while the amber remains quite subtle. If you expect a marine-themed fragrance to be full of bright fruit or warm woods, this one goes in a different direction. To me, it feels more like the clean trace left after a sea breeze passes—fresh, restrained, with a slightly vintage sense of clarity.

I have a sample of this to try and I explore a few fragrances from this house. This one just isn’t for me the notes look like they’d be for me but I find that many of the notes are overpowered so that to me this smells like a floral soap bomb. I’d have liked more of the musk and base notes to be forward and I struggle to pick out some of the fruity notes as well. Happy to have tried this but for the £££ I expected more

I’m very confused by this fragrance....looking at the notes I would expect this to be something fruity, sweet, and musky. Instead it opens with a strong soap note that dominates everything else. Unfortunately, I hate the opening/soap note so much that I didn’t even give it a chance to see how it is in the drydown. This is a big no for me.

Amanda hit the nail on the head. Old fashioned perfumed soap. Quite a surprising considering the listed notes. Definitely not for me unfortunately.

The opening is dry and powdery. The dry down turns into the typical Oud bomb.

Poggia is citrusy, fruity, musky, sweet, spicy and what not. There is even rose, woody and powdery accords in it. This is a spring, summer scent due to its citrusy fresh accords and a winter, fall scent because of its warm, woody and spicy accords. Opening notes in this one is peach, lemon, orange and bergamot while the middle notes are Turkish rose, passionfruit, rosemary and green apple. Dry down is totally ambergris, musky and vanilla. Beastly performance, eternal longevity and enormous silage are its amazing features that adds value to this scent. As per me, this scent is quite inclined towards the feminine and is a bit overpriced considering the notes it has. If you like soapy smells like me and are a gourmand fan too, just go for it as this one fulfills both these desires together. No layering up is needed. I am surely going to use it on several occasion. Enjoy!

Although the listed notes suggest a perfume that's like poetry, it's not a very well-described fragrance. While the overall scent is reminiscent of luxury soaps, and could be appealing as a body spray, it's a disappointment for me. If I didn't own it, just looking at the product description, I'd say this is the scent I'm looking for. But it's far too delicate, it just doesn't work. It should have a more explosive, bursting scent.

Roger Gallet verbina soap smell. EDT sillage and longevity, very common and totally forgettable. It s a mistery how can they sold it for this price. I am not intersted to collect heavy opulent bottles so this is a strong NO from me. 3/10

smells like classic soap. like the plain, clean grandma soap, but with very strong projection. interestingly it is a pleasant smell, i am not sure i would use it though, maybe with caution
