Tyrenum

I won this fragrance and I have to say that I'm not a terenzi fan. This fragrance is amazing in the drydown it smells like a lighter Layton Exclusif, in the official Layton E pyramid there are aquatic notes, it is really similar to this fragrance in the base. However, this Terenzi is much lighter and more aquatic, folks, I say this one here is a summery Layton E that women can easily wear too. P. Terenzi does one thing amazingly well, head, heart and base smell very different, the scents have a strong course, they really have it at Terenzi

Very marine, captures this nuance extremely well. Would really work on me. If the price comes down at the discounters I would consider a bottle. Reminds me somewhat of a Serge Lutens bottle I have. Maybe I’ll start wearing that for the time being. As someone pointed out previously a nice marine/mineral scent. Update: finally bought a bottle. Really glad I did. Wears real well. Wears very classy. Night or day. Well put together.

My brother just got a hold of a bottle of Tyrenum, and I want it! It leans more masculine to me, but it smells beautiful enough for women too. Overall a salty/marine perfume. It starts very citrus and tart but the sea notes are evident as well, with a dry down of stone, musk patchouli and olive tree. Love it!

Two things I know for sure is that Tyrenum is better on men, and that it would smell amazing on a tanned surfer dude. The dry down reminds me of the ocean, thanks to the sea notes/salt. You would definitely find me clinging to the arms of a man who would wear this out, and actually rock the fragrance. Love!

Had a sample. I did not like the initial spray but that dry down was amazing. The scents smelled authentic real. I would love to smell a man wearing though this is masculine leaning I would also wear as a female.

Went for a blind buy, definitely not a mistake. Smells amazing. Everything is blended very well together. Note of caramel is really addictive and I notice it quite a bit even after the opening. All in all 10/10

Love it, smells like 90% Xeryus Rouge by Givenchy 100% if you can get a vintage bottle of it

Blind bought this because I wanted a marine scent with more identity. I only wore it once so bear that in mind for the review. It is a pleasant fragrance. By no means is it bad, foul or flat. The caramel, as others mentioned was a through line in the perfume's evolving scent profile, spices were present and subdued, vanilla and citrus livened it up and the patchouli bound everything together. Yet, I was expecting the salt, the ocean, it was absent. I paid for the sea and ended up with a gourmand. Its best feature would be its versatility. I could wear this at any time but during the winter. It is also fairly long lasting without being too invasive. I'm glad I have it but with hindsight I wouldn't have purchased it. Edit: I ended up finding the sea I was looking for. I guess I was looking for a drier, saltier more basal scent. That ocean smell is sweet and fresh probably the secret of the blend.

Quite literally smells like walking down a cobblestone path near the ocean on a breezy day. Main notes i pick up is the stone accord, salt, green tea and the olive tree. Based off the notes the citrus and caramel merely soften the smell, because its really not easy to detect them. Its not bright nor fresh, yet i wouldn't describe it as dark either; this is simply a mature summer fragrance. It’s not a bad smell but i’m not in love with it either. Would be nicer if the citrus was amped up.

The most novel and interesting scent I had a chance to smell recently. It's a mineral, marine, salty, aromatic scent on a fresher side. Well blended and bold. A little melancholic. It projects confidence and calmness. Unisex, but I envision an elegant man wearing a scent like this. Office-appropriate as well as evening/special event-appropriate. The more I smell it, the more I appreciate the scent. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for something new in a marine/mineral category.

Unusual. Well-blended. Understated marine notes. Lingering note of caramel. Unisex is an accurate label IMO in this case. That pretty much sums it up. I enjoyed this, though it's not my absolute favourite. I will probably use up the sample I got, but it's not an everyday scent for me, and not really a favourite either. The caramel note in particular lingers on for a very long time, and for me it was the most distinctive note in there which gives it all a sort of warmth.

It is a salted caramel marine scent, I wont use it when its really hot outside. Smells ok for my taste. Performance and projection above average.

This is not something I'd want to smell like. A previous reviewer described it as a 'scene from a memory', and I agree. It's an experience, not a perfume. If I wanted to convince someone I was recently keelhauled, I'd wear this. To me, I get hull of a ship with a touch of caramel. I tested this one very cold morning, and as I was defrosting my car, I 'got' this fragrance. Against the bitter cold, this scent was transportive and evocative, and in that moment it was fun and refreshing. Still, it just did not feel right having this smell emanating from me. Interesting? Sure. Too bizarre to wear? Absolutely. Would I buy any more of this? Good Lord, no! But weirdly, I don't hate it; it's an olfactory experience.

Like many Tiziana Terenzi perfumes, this scent plays more like an old memory than a decisive scent. A memory of the sea, a beach, and maybe some caramel saltwater taffy. It's not quite a scent that many would wear; a scent that gives off a defining persona that one would want to embody. The scent is complex and evolving. The oils smell like quality, and it's nice to have some interesting notes like olive tree. It's more for a collector of fragrances than someone who is looking for a signature scent. Although I wouldn't wear this daily, it is a nice scent to mentally transport you to the Mediterranean Sea, or some beach in Italy. It's a high quality olfactory experience.

Masculine in my opinion. It definitely has an ocean-aquatic type smell in there. It isn't bad, but sample before purchasing if you can. Based on the notes, what I get in the dry down is sea notes, salt, ambergis, stone, orange, musk. In that order from most prominent to least. Anything else in it is super blended in to where I can't detect it. Day or night scent. I agree it is elegant and can picture it as an "out to dinner" scent. Haven't smelled anything like it before, but I am undecided if I feel this is a "perfume" scent or something better smelled just naturally in nature.

I discovered it in Fragrantica and i was really wonderin what it is like. I tried some marine perfumes before, Oud Minerale, Ocean Leather etc. It doesnt seem like other to me its something different I cant say marine to it clearly, its like a massage hotel near the beach in a tropic place Marine and salty notes determines the atmosphere Looks like im gonna use it this summer.

Caramel + aquatics. A unique idea that comes across like a Mancera: heavy on the synthetics. It smells good, but Aoud Lemon Mint and Cedrat Boisee scratch the same itch that this does. The vanilla + patchouli dry down is nice, but it loses its unique quality as time goes on. Good, but passable for me. It’s a 6 out of 10 for me.

cardamom, pink pepper, black pepper, and a salty note—all clashing into a background of that commercial men vibe.

To me, this doesn't smell like a typical fragrance. It's very artsy and more of a "scene from a memory". At first blast, I was getting mostly wet stone/pavement and black pepper. There is a nice undertone of milky caramel and vanilla and you get subtle hints of a almost leathery type osmanthus. A touch dry herbal tea....but I don't get much sea or aquatics from this. At least not the typical designer ocean smell where it smells like sea breeze or sea weed. The base has a good dose of warm, fluffy textured musk. Overall this fragrance is daring. Almost for the person who wants to wear this because it's THAT different and wants to smell artsy and non-mainstream. For sure it smells niche, but I'm still unsure when the appropriate time to wear this.....it's really that odd. It's not a bad smell by any means, it just doesn't smell like you're wearing perfume....instead, you are wearing a bold statement to be different.

From first spray it was not what I expected from an aquatic, and I also felt I smelled something like this before. It reminds me of Layton exclusif's opening without the coffee and oud notes. Just pause the freshness of the sea notes with the backdrop of layton and bring that further into the drydown and mid of the scent. Its funny because I always thought of this as a scent and how it would be great reworked. Now that Im wearing it Im not 100% sure how I feel about it. Im going to have to give it a few wears, and I will update my review later. Edit: if I wasn’t looking for an aquatic I’d be able to do this, but I’m Not. All I’m getting is Layton exclusif without the oud and a touch more sweetness. The ambrox or sea notes stay throughout the wear, one other difference. It’s great if that’s what you’re looking for. Moderate performance and 8-10 hour longevity.
