XIX March

XIX March is an absolutely phenomenal lavender-based perfume. I love it because lavender is certainly the focus and is present throughout almost the entire 12+ hours it lasts on my skin, but it also isn't necessarily obvious, as there are other notes that compliment the lavender so perfectly. This is not a lavender soliflore, but a complex lavender-based fragrance. It begins as a bright, fresh, herbal and citrus perfume. I detect lavender, mint, and lemon. While that was lovely start, it soon changes completely. The freshness wears away, and suddenly the lavender takes on a darker personality as it combines with woody cloves and fragrant nutmeg. Nutmeg is one of my favorite notes, and it is hard to find a perfume that showcases it well, but it is natural and abundant in XIX March. All of these herbs and spices play together so beautifully. So the first 20 minutes is herbal, but the next 12 hours are a darker scent that skillfully straddles the line between masculine and feminine. In the base there is a hint of sensual musk that makes the perfume just a little bit creamy. Indeed at times it smells like Nivea lotion mixed with herbs and spices, but I love that about it. I also think I can smell rosemary here and there, but I am never completely certain. I thought Ecstacy from this house was my favorite, but XIX March is the one I actually bought.

Opening is nice citrus and greens followed by a little spice and lavender in the mid. The drydown is musk and cedar but mostly a musk that is very soapy. This musk is dosed really high. Up close, it smells kinda synthetic but that's not a knock against it because most houses use synthetic musk due to IFRA and ethical reasons. However, in the air it smells soapy clean. Lasts a long time even on my perfume eating skin. I'd say roughly 8-10 hours which is double to triple what I usually get from fresh or soapy scents on skin. I imagine it may be easily detectable on clothing for 24 hours. If you like fresh and soapy clean scents with citrus top notes, you'll like this. If you're one of those people that constantly bitch about performance and you want a dumb reach fresh fragrance, you'll like this. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Scent 8/10 Performance 8.5/10

I got a really good deal on this so I pulled the trigger and so glad that I did. Just to mention that this was a blind buy for me. Back to the juice. I really like this one alot. I was looking for a green fragrance that didn't come across to bitter and this is the one. Really nice and natural smelling. I wonder why this house doesn't get much recognition. They are pretty reasonably priced given it's an extrait de parfum. I mean for about same price as Nassomato with three times the juice, you can't go wrong. Highly recommended for something very unique that satisfies your search for a natural green effect. 9.5/10

До одури зеленый аромат. Яркая крапива, зеленушка сверху, где там цитрус не понял - вероятно просто сбалансировать зеленость для вида находится там. Середина по нотам для меня теряется ничего из описанного не чувствуется, возможно немножко корички, немножко жасмина и есть. Садится в плотную деревянную базу. Ветивер, сандал. Кайфушечка на раннюю весну.

I don't understand the relatively low ratings. Smells great and lasts ~8 hrs on me. Easy to wear, not overpowering, and will put you in a good mood. Anyone can pull this off and it's also office friendly. Easily an 8.5/10 in my book.

Classic aromatic fougere with modernized scent profile. Fresh opening and well balanced beautiful barbershop dry-down. Thick, creamy, soapy, aromatic. I think it smells fantastic.

Gorgeous smell. If it had a better performance it would be a masterpiece.

I love the smell of this perfume. I love the way this notes blend together and make such a raw smell. I love the dry-down of vetiver and nettle. Only one problem....ok.. 2. Silage and intensity makes me wanna cry. It's sad. Beautiful scent, appreciated by the ones around you, but literally you have to press you nose on the skin to smell anything. Went as far as spaying it on my neck, right and left arm. This would be a catastrophe with any other Tiziana perfume, but not with this one. It felt like laughing at me for not wishing to reveal itself. Painful is that is up there in price, but it performs worst than an Avon perfume (there.. .said it). Overall beautiful scent but very subtle.

XIX March is a clean, safe, fresh scent. It’s not trying to do too much, but what it does is perfect for a spring morning. For me the opening is much more citrus forward than the notes would indicate. I definitely get the orange and even some grapefruit mixed with the mint and green leaves. Entering the mid, the jasmine starts to shine backed by some herbal notes of lavender and rosemary. The whole time there is just a hint of sandalwood providing just the right amount of soapiness. Initially, the fragrance has a nice projection and longevity seems to be about four to six hours. This is a nice, clean slightly green, unisex fragrance.

It's fresh and clean upon opening. There are crisp greens and sour citruses. Very subtle florals come and go, as though an afterthought, and are not central to the composition. Its lush and juicy, and feels like a sunny spring day, after a cleansing and revitalizing rain. The crispness nearly stings my nose, but it is not at all offensive. The lavender presents beautifully, in a more green than floral manner. The mint is also tastefully represented; its fresh, well blended, and not overt. It brings images of a snappy green pepper or a fresh salad to mind. Unisex, pleasant. Cheerful, light, yet calm.

Classic freshie for the mature. Starts sharp, green, & aromatic. Like a classic fresh aftershave from the 80/90s. As it dries down, it becomes less sharp & more powdery while remaining green & aromatic; like a powdery neroli. Remains like that throughout its life. This green aromatic scent is lavender & mint with a hint of sandalwood. I can not comment on "green leaves". A nice one for the lovers of neroli & classic scents. Suits people above 30yrs old better. While it's a good, it's too expensive for such a usual scent. Wouldn't recommend paying that much unless you really love it. "Like".

An energizing, masculine sandalwood and cedar based fragrance, this lovely composition mixes the woody notes with some interesting green and spice notes such as green leaves, mint, nettle, lavender, cinnamon, clove buds, jasmine, vetiver, musk, nutmeg, and rosemary with winning results. The overall feel is a bright, cheery, waft of spring air as one takes a leisurely stroll in a forested area. Very elegantly blended and a safe pleasing scent with moderate sillage and projection. Easily unisex although leaning a bit on the masculine side. This is one that needs to be discovered!

A very nice fresh aromatic herb fragrance. The lavender and mint are very evident. This is definitely a unisex fragrance. The lavender is tamed by mint and green notes. I like the thought of stinging nettle in here. The wood notes combine with these to create a nice essentially green fragrance. There is nothing harsh here but softly aromatic. I think Wild Hedgerow would have been a good name for it. Very pleasant.

This is an amazing scent. The only problem I have,and I hope I don't ruin this for anyone after saying this, is that I detect a certain note in this that smells like a diaper rash cream I'll never forget that smell. It starts to go away on the dry down, but every since my memory reminded me of that, I can't not smell it now! Grrrr I want to love this but I'm a little on the fence right now

Beautiful niche freshie. Nothing groundbreaking here, but very well blended, and the little touch that makes it jump on the top of others. 20-50, Spring/Summer days

Nice woody, fresh and soapy fragrance. Wasn’t into it at first, but has really grown on me.

First 2 h is like ch 212 man, after that start to be magical, not my tipe but very nice.

In general, I'm not a big fan of green heavy fragrances, mainly because they remind me of the smell of my hands after a garden weeding session. XIX March isn't that. It's green but in a creamy or fluffy sort of way. A quite pleasant green scent that would work well in summer. Unfortunately, the performance of XIX March really sucks. Barely 4 hours until it becomes a skin scent - that is - put your nose to your skin to even detect it. Projection is just as soft.

I'm sampling XIX today. Lovely green fragrance. Smells like I live in the woods. Perfect scent for tramping. It's subtle refreshing but also dense. I like it. -
