To Summer’s Void is indeed one of the most realistic explorations of tea in its most unembellished form—earthy, green, and almost ascetic. On a technical level, Void is exceptionally crafted. It doesn’t lean sweet or floral, like many tea-based perfumes do—it’s bracing, clean, and grounded in realism. But on my skin, the bitterness dominates. The green edge verges on medicinal, even antiseptic at moments, which in my personal opinion makes it tricky for everyday use. While I admire its conceptual boldness and restraint, it lacks a softness that would make it more wearable for me personally. That said, I continue to be impressed by To Summer's collection. They are one of the few Chinese fragrance houses pushing boundaries with an incredible hyperlocal narrative and consistent olfactory identity. Void may not please the masses, but it proves that To Summer is not afraid to challenge the and carve out their own vision.

I blind bought this and had high hopes based on the notes etc, which normally isn’t a smart move as nothing is what you expect, good or bad. This wasn’t what I expected but it was in a great way. I love when I’m pleasantly surprised by something that fits into a genre (tea fragrance in this case) and still manages to be unique. It also managed to be blended perfectly in my opinion, and I like it more and more with each spray. I liked this when I got it, but now I love it. Also to describe it very briefly and somewhat vaguely, this is a true tea scent and not a modern interpretation of a tea note (like with Imagination or Wu Long Cha for example). The tea note itself has a dryness to it, as if it were just the tea leaves or a very strong brew of pure tea that isn’t a blend.. but the notes that support it somehow give it life and is much more than just a realistic tea note/fragrance.

my college friends say this is the perfume they remember me the most by (always "oh you remind me of tea" and "i had a drink at mollytea the other day and it smelled like you"), and i always get surprised b/c i don't think the sillage/longevity are either that strong, and also because in high school i would only ever wear white florals. i guess i've changed. to a tee it is almost exactly the aroma of the jasmine tea i had with my dad at a 4th floor chinese teahouse in yu garden, shanghai, just after a strong storm and mixed with that after-scent of the rain and the cigarette smoke smell in the air that's ubiquitous to china. i started smoking in college, too, because the taste of cigs reminded me of home and of the very, very strongly-brewed pu'er i'd always make for myself there. i like it! very classy edit my long distance bf also visited me and he couldnt stop smelling me LOL

I sampled the entire To Summer lineup at the Beijing store and immediately gravitated toward Void. I’m a tea lover and drink several pots a day, often oolong, and this is the most realistic tea fragrance I’ve ever tried. I went back the very next day and bought a 100-milliliter bottle. I was initially a little hesitant to try Chinese perfume brands, but I think they are doing a great deal to establish a positive reputation for what Chinese fragrance houses are capable of. It is a beautiful scent, both deep and light simultaneously, and I find it suitable for spring, summer, and even autumn, primarily during the daytime. It will always remind me of Beijing, since I wore it throughout most of my three-month stay there. To me, it smells just like fresh, bright oolong leaves. I’ll definitely buy another bottle the next time I visit.

very realistic tea scent. when describing to my friend how this starts slightly bitter and earthy, but slowly the floral notes come and neutralise it into a sweeter scent, she said 'so it's like the process of drinking tea?' i think she was absolutely right. sorely tempted to pick up a full bottle of this - interesting, unique, versatile and so nostalgic for me. smells like the teahouses my parents frequented to meet friends. scholarly, deep green without being overly mossy or woody. definitely signature scent worthy!

I was the one who requested this fragrance to be added because it has become my new signature. After years of searching for the perfect, photorealistic tea scent, this is it. This is the fragrance that makes you immersed into a cup of freshly brewed tea. I cannot get enough of it. I finished my 1ml sample and had some friends pick a bottle up for me in china. The longevity is insane, however, I do wish the projection was better. Other than that, this is a gold star fragrance, 10/10.

my signature fragrance n fav of my whole collection!! void is photorealistic dark peaty n earthy pu'er tea (the notes say oolong but it smells more like pu'er to me). it's a v meditative n calming fragrance!!! projects great n lasts all day! i love to layer this with ensar oud lokoloko to add even more earthiness n petrichor n a lil bit of menthol to it. makes me smell lik the one time i left pu'er tea in an insulated travel mug n forgot about it for a whole year!!!

i usually advice against blind-buying, but if you already know the smell of the dry oolong leaf opening after the first few splashes of hot water, and you want just that on your skin, then this is it. though, longevity is pretty weak and you'll probably smell it more on yourself than other people will. photorealistic, bitter. slightly mature but also very versatile.

This is the tea fragrance to get from To Summer, not Triple Tea. This is real tea, through and through. No sugar, no fruit. The best part of Void is that it captures the fragrant (香) aromas that waft from freshly brewed loose leaf tea.

Very nice, well blended tea fragrance that leans just a hair masculine. Almost photorealistic oolong tea fragrance with flowers in the background like you’re drinking tea on a lil gazebo in the middle of a garden. Very pleasant.

If the colour dark botanical green was a fragrance, it would be this one. Simply lovely. The best tea scent I've ever smelt

Super dark-earthy fragrance, I wouldn’t blind buy. This perfume is the closest thing to a real cup of black tea.

a linear, simple and pure matcha. Bitter, green and you can almost smell the tannin. Great scent for zen mood!

Despite the name, I find this to be relatively wearable and not as dark as a “void”. Essentially smells like oolong/dry tea leaves with a soapy perfumey floral dry down. This is my first time really sampling a Chinese frag house and I definitely notice the difference in how they approach fragrances compared to western fragrances houses. I have more samples from two other Chinese fragrance houses coming soon so we will see if my point stands or it’s just the DNA of To Summer. I’m surprised by the comments about longevity, I feel like it lasts for 8 hours on me. Projection ? Definitely not a club or loud fragrance- sure. I have a 2ml sample to finish before seeing if this will go beyond a soft like for me as I feel like I want more of the tea part of the fragrance over the soapy/“clean” aspect of this. But compared to tea fragrances made by US/European houses ....? This definitely smells more photorealistic and true to actual tea to me. I’d say this is very unisex, too

my collection consists of over 10 tea-oriented fragrances, and here's my take: This is by far the MOST realistic tea scent, nothing comes close to this. As a Chinese who brews tea almost every day, although it's listed as oolong tea, I get most of the Pu-er tea vibe because of that strong, earthy scent. I love Pu-er tea, but it's not for everyone due to its earthiness. Definitely not your typical Nishane WLC nor THOO The Time type of scent. Longevity is okay, around 6 hours on the shirt, the projection is more of a skin scent (weak). It's a decent value because I managed to get it below market price, but according to the To-Summer official webpage pricing, it's definitely way overpriced.

@ScentedScrubs, sorry, I'm not looking to sell mine as I enjoy this scent profile; I just got mine from a reputable store on Taobao. It's cheaper than their official page on Google. However, please be cautious when shopping on Taobao. Please make sure that the sales and reviews are legitimate, that the store has been in operation for years, and that the price is not excessively low. I'm in Southeast Asia, so shopping on Taobao is not too inconvenient for me. I paid approximately 1,450 CNY, which included shipping costs and transaction fees. Again, please do extensive research when shopping for fragrances online. Cheers.

Just got this at their Rock Bund store. More expensive than my usual picks but it absolutely blasted me out of my shoes. Like the other comments pointed out it really is like going through the intricacies of preparing an expensive batch of chinese tea. Opens with the first whiff of dark green tea leaves in an air tight tin, then dries down to a hot cuppa in a ceramic cup. I also really love the bottle 🤣 Definitely pick any to summer up if you’re in china, you wont regret it.

bitter unsweetened tea, leans more masculine imo but could see a pilates instructor or someone big on wellness, zen luxurious kind of person wearing. lasts long
