Élan Vital

I didn't expect to like it because it's being described as a vetiver-predominant fragrance and I don't enjoy this note on my skin too much... However, the vetiver in here is so well blended with other notes, that it doesn't bother me at all. Élan Vital is a very unique aromatic-woody scent but at the same time it smells somehow familiar to me. It reminds me a perfume that I already own, namely Iris Céladon from the Armani Privé Collection. I find here the same 'dusty' aroma of earthy patchouli with musky, powdery nuances. Vetiver and oakmoss add a dry, woody undertone and nettle gives an aromatic, slightly bitter quality to the fragrance. Élan Vital makes me feel close to nature. It takes me to a deep forest, which is filled with the aroma of trees and damp, aromatic foliage. It is a magical olfactory experience because of the calming, almost addictive quality of this perfume. This is an outstanding unisex fragrance, with amazing longevity, perfect for autumn & winter. I highly recommend you checking it out, even if you are not a fan of vetiver.

Absolutely love this! A very nourishing green scent , fresh but not sharp. Develops beautifully on the skin. Grounding and uplifting at the same time. I layer the oil with the perfume - the two work so well together. An unusual earthy, nettley mossiness to it - a really interesting blend and so wearable. It’s the fragrance I reach for most - daily aromatherapy!
