Belle

Belle works better when you over spray. I am a light sprayer as a rule; a couple of spritzes of most EDPs is my usual. But with Belle, such a faint application came across as too light and citrusy, leaving me with a lovely but ephemeral citrus and freesia scent at body spray level. Today I sprayed several spritzes on each arm. What an improvement! I got the full profile and then some. Freesia dominates this scent; however, with generous application, Belle offers an unexpected Coppertone sun lotion facet. Quelle surprise! I don't get even a smidge of peony. Lots of freesia and Coppertone. Maybe the metallic note others speak of is read by my nose as Coppertone. The notes say lemon, but it's more like citron to me. Greenish creamy lemon. There is SOMETHING way down inside this I love. Too bad I lack the finesse to identify it. I don't know why Belle is not getting more love. For spring and summer, this would be perfect, like flip flops or a white shirt. Maybe it's too simple and uncomplicated. Sometimes that's better. Tocca is one of my favorite ranges. Each is an individual stand alone scent, and each has its time and place. With today being Christmas, I had planned to wear Brigitte (spicy!), but it's 80 F outside, so Belle won out.

Belle by TOCCA is the perfect summer scent for when you're wearing shorts, a tank top, and sandals. It's pretty and fresh, but not like shampoo or soap. This sits really well on my skin, but also on my clothes. It just smells good! I have a decant that will take awhile to get used up - I think I'll put it aside for warm weather - but once I do I will add this fragrance to my wishlist. It's not a total love so it's not at the top of my wishlist, but it's defintiely one I would love to own and add to my warm weather rotation. Belle is a bright, bergamot and freesia scent with some green nuance due to the petitgrain. What a good note to add to this fragrance! I really do love this! I think TOCCA is pretty underrated. So far I really love Maya, Stella, and now Belle. For the longest time I had only ever tried Florence (which is meh as I'm not the biggest gardenia fan). I need to try all the other fragrances from this brand ASAP.

Balanced and beautiful! Stella's younger sister (freesia is great in both). I love them both, but Stella is more sophisticated and timeless while Belle is more youthful and adventurous. Belle is quite captivating, and I feel desirable when wearing. Decent sillage and lasting power. Try this!

Easy, inoffensive floral-citrus of my dreams. On days that I'm overstimulated and don't want anything too sweet or woody, this is my new go to

Tocca describes this fragrance as "adventurous," "joyful," and "optimistic." As for adventurous, I have to say – yes, something about it springs forward, there's a velocity to it, like the speed of a bouquet toss at a beautiful spring wedding. Caught in the hands of a young and pretty bachelorette, it's green in a polished, debutante way. Such a lady is in fact joyful and optimistic for her future: she's got it in her hands, and it's so verdant, so full of promise. However, much like having a bouquet of cut flowers, the lively, colorful part of the experience can only last so long. I think this perfume lasted for about two hours on me, and for that whole time it was quite light. I've tried all the Tocca fragrances at least once and this one had the weakest performance. I resonate with @orchidrouge<3kitty's review on this perfume. It's absolutely that era. But for me, it's more that it smells like the perfumes that were generally around in the early 2010s. I find it reminiscent of Couture Couture by Juicy Couture, and maybe Daisy by Marc Jacobs or Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet by Dior. Not to say it smells generic, but... If I were to compare this one to any of the other Tocca fragrances, I would say it's the most similar in scent profile to Cleopatra. It's like she's Belle's much grander grandmother.

I purchased a sample recently. I'm impressed with the sillage of Tocca perfumes. This was one of my favorites right away. My husband said it smelled very floral. Sometimes Bergamot smells a little off on me, but it definitely is a longer lasting scent. Freeshia is one of my favorite aromas in perfume. However when I tried this particular one alone after a few hours I sensed a very familiar sweet aroma, then it hit me 'froot loops'. I don't believe I crossed any other scents. I'm sure my toddler doesn't mind, but there were no cereals out. I don't think I'll be investing in a bigger bottle of this however pleasant. I preferred Stella and Lucia more. [I'm a fan of collecting perfume, not a perfume connoisseur. I love sweet, citrusy, floral scents best. Some expensive scents give me headaches or rashes. My kids give me the most honest opinions on smells and I will share my honest opinion. In search of something with longer sillage comparable to favorites. Recommendations welcome.]

This is what Light Blue by D&G wishes it was. I get NEROLI. I know it's not listed in the notes but together all the notes remind me of neroli. It's very vintage but eventually the top notes disappear and you get more of the freesia and musk. I like it. I don't love it. Tocca perfumes last for about 1 sniff at this point and this one is no different. It's nice, classy, vintage and simple. 6/10 weak. Not my favorite from this brand.

Soft powdery lemon and delicate freesia creates a very feminine scent. Simple, pretty, inoffensive, classy. It’s also a nostalgic scent for me - while it’s not overtly a laundry or cleaning product scent (much too soft) I think the beach vacation home where I often stayed as a child used dryer sheets or something with a similar scent.

Very forgettable, very pleasing. True citrus and white florals. This smells more expensive than it is. It’s a very Italian scent, and reminds me of springtime on the coast. If you like Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue, Aqua di Parma, and Atelier Colgones, get this.

Before even looking at the notes, my first impression was this smells very much like an orange blossom castile soap I bought in Spain. Clean, light, fresh, soapy white floral. Would be good for everyday wear in the office.

I would have guessed peony and lemon; the freesia and bergamot are not at all distinctive. I love the scent, but the sillage is very much on the light side. Safe reach for office wear.

sweet bug spray sunscreen summer camp night vibes in a good way, can't find myself reaching for it a lot but it has nostalgia in the dna so it's a great pick-me-up scent

A soft refreshing citrus perfectly blended with floral. It’s gentle and feminine. Projection is really good.

Easy to wear. Light and bright. Inoffensive - reminds me of Modern Muse by Estée Lauder

The opening is really terrible, reminds me of a citrus window cleaning products. After few sniffs, the freesia starts to show itself a bit. But the scent of window cleaning doesn’t leave. This is not the activity I want to be thinking about when I’m not actually cleaning. It is also very faint, after an hour it’s gone from my skin.

This is definitely well reviewed y those who say the opening is straight window cleaner/lemon cleaner/pledge wood cleaner ....those type of products. The citrus at the start isn’t just citrus its so over chemical-y that it isn’t going over to we’ll With me. Hoping it will turn and I’ll smell something other than that.

Belle is a "clean and simple" beauty. Love this white-soapy dry down. I picture a house in the Italian countryside; coming out of the shower with wet footsteps on wooden floors, to a bed made with unfitted sheets and a waffle-weave blanket. Calm and clear; nothing but the sounds of birds.

I received a mini of this for free with a Tocca order. This one is not my favorite. As the reviewer below stated, this has a sharp, almost metallic note to my nose - possibly the combo of strong berg and freesia? Although I like both of those notes individually they seem very harsh here.

it's lovely. but like fancy hotel body wash lovely. fresh, clean, light. the petitgrain is really quite prominent on my skin. it's definitely something I'd like to smell in a luxury body wash or hand soap, but not a smell I enjoy to wear as a perfume.

I can't believe I don't see others mentioning how this smells like sunscreen. I thought I was crazy, until I went through the wardrobe of samples with my boyfriend, and he said Belle smells like sunscreen. I finally felt validated, because every review mentions it is citrusy and fruity, but I get straight up coppertone sunscreen. I hate to vote Tocca perfumes so low, because they have the most beautiful presentation, but this is such a generic and misleading fragrance.

I don't think I've ever enjoyed a Tocca fragrance. Too floral for me.

Uninspired pink lemonade and pale florals (that try really hard to be roses and lily of the valley) at first, but soon turns into a nice citrus musk with a cool metallic edge–a bit like Nestea iced tea in a can. Young and safe–a good first date scent. Stays in personal space for an hour, then drifts down to the skin over the next two. Gone by curfew.

This genuinely just smells like a laundry detergent fragrance. Yes it has some fresh powdery and musky aspects that are pretty but for me it’s just too easily conflated with a strong smell of laundry powder which I am not fond of. I don’t think this is that similar to Simone.

Oh my god this smell reminds me of my childhood growing up in the early 2000's it's such a happy summer day by the pool in 2013 kind of smell and smells like justice and those rubber phone cases with bunny ears. Such a pastel pink and lemon flirty inviting smell. Love it!

It's a very sharp herbal opening. it's sour too, at least in the way it makes my nose pucker. i can smell a bit of florals in there maybe something pinkish. a mix of pink and green. it's also a bit peppery. 5.5/10

I think this will be my first Tocca purchase :) I have been wanting one of the beautiful bottles but the scents just have not convinced me enough, this pretty pink and pretty flowers might be lovely.
