Cleopatra Hair Fragrance

Mm. Well, I found a bottle at Marshalls and thought, I could use this on fabric that I don’t want to take a chance on staining with the higher oil content of the ‘real’ perfume. It’s great. It IS lighter than the perfume, but not so much that I don’t feel I got value for money. I normally never buy hair mists, I usually just spray the regular perfume on; I’m not that concerned about alcohol in my hair, since I don’t do it daily or with every scent and I don’t really ever use hairsprays or other alcohol-containing products. But since I LOVE the Cleopatra product and this is tons cheaper than the perfume (even at full price)I bought it. It’s similar to SJP Lovely/NR For Her/EL Modern Muse. Those are three of my faves, and if you can’t find Lovely anymore or the other two are slightly too spendy, Cleopatra hair mist is a nice alternative (the Cleopatra perfume on the other hand is slightly cheaper than NR or MM but much more expensive than Lovely). The bottle is nice: heavy, poshly decorated, the sprayer functions well, I’ve had no leaks, etc. Would make a pretty safe gift, I think. I don’t know that I would buy again if I had to pay full price, but only because I don’t usually buy hair mists, not because of any flaw in this particular product. It’s good. It sticks around about the same amount of time as the perfume but calms down quicker and is much ‘quieter’, at least on me. But for MY purposes, I WANT to choke in a sweet cloud of Cleopatra, so I’ll likely stick to the original. But if I found this again for less than twenty dollars, yes please. If you prefer ‘sheer’ versions of perfumes, this is a good makeshift ‘Cleopatra Sheer’!

When I bought the perfume recently, I bought it too, and I'm glad I did because I love the perfume and I will not describe it here anymore because I've already done it on the Fragrantica dedicated page. The hair scent has the note I wrote about at the perfume, I don't know what it is but it smells how the new Escada blazers smelled back in 80-90 when you bought it and came in their special boxes. This is the main note in the hair perfume. And I love it! For me it smells of elegance, of power, of refinement, it smells like a powerful top executiv banker woman back 85-90, with those very masculine suits, hair cut short and very sober. It's the same note I found at Attimo by Salvador F. and for which I scoured the internet to find a bottle again. If you like that perfume this version is the same but without the sweetness that forces me to wear that perfume only in winter. What can I say more 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍. Thank you Tocca!

I have to say that I picked this up at a sample sale where it was touted as a hair/body mist and I bought it with the idea of using it as a body mist. It's a very nice fragrance. On me, there's just a little citrus in the opening but the green notes and cucumber come through in a lovely way, very fresh. The jasmine kicks in and then I get more of the musk than the vanilla. I remember sampling the Cleopatra EDP and not being drawn to it, but I do like this light version. It only cost me $10.00USD, when it retails for $28, which I would not pay for this. Here's the kicker, though - CRAZY longevity. Truly cray. I had one spray on the back of my hand at around 5pm yesterday. Could still smell it getting into the shower at 6:40am this morning! And I certainly washed my hands a nubmer of times between, though I was careful to preserve the scent. Fantastic! I think I'll be very pleased with this as a nice body spray for summer evenings.

The hair oil is lighter than the perfume, but it's reasonably priced and long lasting. It compliments other fragrances with this DNA: Narciso for Her, SJP Lovely, etc. but just like the Cleopatra perfume, it goes in a slightly grapefruit/black currant direction.

Got this super cheap at Marshalls. Unfortunately, it wasn't for me. Too 'fresh' and clean smelling, gave it to my aunt who is a white musk fan.
