The advertising campaign compares 4 Tocca perfumes - This is how they described "Cleopatra" -- A Mediterranean Seductress; Powerful, Seductive, Exotic; Keynotes - Grapefruit, Jasmine, Vanilla Musk. Wear to feel sexy. ----------- I didn't see this advertising gimmick before sampling this perfume. No, I'm NOT a Mediterranean seductress! Nor do I want to be! LOL.... but I'm looking for a good perfume! The dry down of this perfume is truly GORGEOUS! Wow! I am trying a sample of this now. This is really good - so far -- When I first sprayed this, I thought that I picked up the note of cassis, which I have a chemical reaction with - I can't wear perfumes with that particular note in them. Luckily, that note only lasted a few minutes, then this transitioned into a stunningly GORGEOUS perfume. This has an earthy quality to it. The notes of leaves (probably the cassis leaves) are still evident throughout the wear of the perfume. The musk is not that evident, it is definitely singing back up to the other ingredients. This was another recommendation by my Fragrance Angel. She has really excellent taste in perfumes! I never would have tried this without a friend recommending this (because I didn't know about this line). This has an autumnal vibe to it, so it is more in the family of perfumes that I wear in the autumn/winter... but this could possibly be worn year round. This is lovely! The general vibe is like an antique trunk show which is eclectic. Some have compared it to Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely (the original), my sample of this perfume is more in the autumn type family of perfumes. The closest perfume vibe to this that I have tried - would be the YSL Yvresse Champagne perfume that I recently reviewed. This also has more of an autumnal quality to it... I find that Sarah Jessica Parker's perfume is more powdery and musky, so that - I would put more in the classification of a soft summer family. (They all three are beautiful and evoke such different moods). David Yurman's Exotic EDP is also in this same general autumnal genre, Tocca's Cleopatra has a moderate woodsy type smell - DY Exotic EDP is much more woodsy. ----------- If you have a reaction to cassis, I would definitely sample this first. There are moments during the first 30 minutes of wear where this could lean into the realm of "cat lady" - because cassis sometimes has a note which smells like cat urine in the litter box.

I don't know who Tocca works with, but God, this is a 90's feminist type perfume that I miss like crazy. Cleopatra is death, Hatshepsut is on the throne and she goes dressed in her Pharaoh armour on the war battlefield with the Scythians. Lord what a perfume! It has no similarity with Narciso or the Lovely either, not a even one, ok maybe the the end of the end which is a floral powdered musk, but now honestly it's the last note before it disappears so, let be serious, just because a perfume has musk and patchouli doesn't mean it's the same, sure the notes take a different smell on everyone skin but I can't find it similar to NR or Lovely, because categorically it's not lovely this perfume.... It's a spicy green scent, with a scent light to medium of a gentleman aftershave from that old times Caron type, a slight smell of tea, black tea with jasmine and it has a note that I don't realize what it is, I think can be tuberose with a very bitter smell, but anyway I love it, it smells like, for those who remember, Escada blazers when you bought them back in 80-90, I can't be sure what the note is, but God, I missed it. The middle notes are more powdery but almost the same for me, maybe the rice powder, because yes, for my nose smell like rice and harvested grade, the end is a woody floral and at the end of the end it's that vanilla floral musk with that cereals powder. That grapefruit is splendid here just cut all the sweat off and the blackcurrant is actually a bud smell not a mature fruit, and certainly some how resembles with that Cassis the smell of a raw vines in spring. I love this perfume, but I can't wear it how I would like anymore, because my good friend find her signature in this so I don't want to still the show, but some time I rock it.

This is my new signature scent. Funny because I received a sample pack of Tocca rollerballs from my friend for my birthday. I was immediately intrigued with Stella and Florence. I would wear each of them on occasion however neither of them felt 100% ME. Recently I have been looking for a new scent. Previously my signatures have been Gucci Rush and D&G The One. I could not find a new one that had me enamored. Then I decided to give the Tocca's another try because I LOVE the little stories behind them and the beautiful feminine names. I began my search online and starting diving deeper into the notes of the scents- figuring out what I like and what I don't like. Just from reading, I realized that Cleopatra might be the perfect scent for me so I went to the store and was so excited to try it. At first spray I was utterly upset. It is extremely sharp. Too sharp. I almost ran out of the store to wash it off... but don't be fooled by her sour, standoffish first impression. Cleopatra develops into this creamy, sweet, spicy scent that lingers on you like a sweet yet sexy kiss. I don't understand notes yet. I am getting there. So I cant tell you exactly what I am smelling. I do know that I am not getting musk as much as some others have written. I gave Margaux a go recently and that one is MUCH more musky in my opinion. When I started wearing this out and about I began realizing that I would get this amazing whiff here and there of something fruity and vanilla. I kept thinking it was something else. Like my coffee creamer or a candle or something. Then I realized it was ME the whole time that was giving off this little halo of deliciousness. Give Cleo a go!!!

I love love love this. I only wish it was stronger and lasted longer! These reviews are so weird and polarized... I think this is one perfume you will just have to try for yourself and see how your body chemistry works with it, and what your nose picks up. On initial application, bright sweet juicy fruit and leaves. I don’t have the “black currant smells like cat piss” gene so it’s very fresh. I couldn’t distinguish a specific fruit besides the next though... Then it’s a lovely fuzzy peach and white floral which doesn’t lean too much into being a tuberose OR a jasmine bomb, with an amazing and addictive musk-patchouli dry down. Seriously, I could not stop smelling my wrists. Unfortunately it was super lightly scented on me and totally a skin scent by 4 hours! 😭 I just want to turn up the longevity and strength here, and it would be the perfect scent! I think a lot of people comparing this to hairspray/shampoo/whatever maybe don’t know that those products are commonly scented with musk so you’re just really able to identify that note on your skin, haha. I get a balance, but everyone is different. All signs point to me trying Lovely to see if it lasts longer on my skin because of how many people say they’re similar. And I looooooved Cleopatra. A sexy and regal scent. EDIT I tried Lovely and it’s much more floral on top, but I can see how the dry downs are similar. Not identical though and Cleopatra is better imo.

I read some of the other reviews comparing this to SJP’s Lovely. As soon as I got that into my mind I knew why I loved this fragrance so much. I’ve loved the SJP Lovely for many years but after I had my children, my nose changed and I could no longer use Lovely without an instant headache. I have to be so careful with notes and when I find a house that tends to not bother my sensitive new nose, I get a little obsessed. I’ve had enormous luck with Tocca fragrances! This one is so feminine and lovely. I get a beautiful happy feeling from it and it does not make me ill the way Lovely does....although the similarities are unmistakable. I get a beautiful floral opening and later some peach and tiny bit of amber. Although this one does not appear to contain a lavender note, the composition seems to mimic lavender. To me it is a delicious, feminine gem. I think you could probably wear this one all year round as it isn’t “fruity.” This may actually be my favorite fragrance find in a very long time.

I am a huge fan of Tocca, and as others have mentioned this brand creates very safe and crowd pleasing fragrances, that are reminiscent of times past. Light florals. However, gotta hand it to them that they know their brand, and stay within their lane. If you enjoy one Tocca, you'll likely enjoy most of them. My favourite happens to be Maya. Cleopatra was the second perfume that I smelled on someone else, fell in love with and ran out and purchased. And just like the first time I did that, I discovered it smelled amazing on the other person but not as great on me. I still enjoy this quite a bit and wear it as part of my rotation, but it's not as out of this world amazing as it was on someone else. So I will mark this as a 'love' because I do truly love it, maybe just not ON me. NR for Her EDP is my signature scent, and I adore Lovely; I honestly don't think Cleopatra smells all that similar; but I do smell the similarity between NR and Lovely.

There's something special about this one, probably the green notes and patchouli. This is my new daily perfume, I really love it. It is a feminine white floral with a nice musky base, and something green to it. I have been getting compliments on this one. My husband described it as very nice and a bit sexy, which suits me fine. This should be suitable year round and for most occasions, but not suitable for intensely cold weather I think. I will try layering this with amber perfume in winter. Unfortunately the longevity is poor, no more than 2-3 hours before it is basically gone. I am used to very good longevity from designer perfume labels like YSL, Chanel etc, and I think the poor longevity is unfortunate given Cleopatra is similar in price or a bit more expensive than competing designer perfumes. It does mean that Cleopatra doesn't make my clothes reek in the way e.g., Libre does, so I suppose that's good.

An even more feminine, leaning girly, version of NR For Her EDT. Cleopatra is a tropical musk in comparison to For Her. The blend of notes is well done. Peach, jasmine and tuberose really pop on my skin. I pick up some spicy ylang ylang though not listed here. Patchouli is very nice as well. It's presence is soft yet noticeable, adding depth and earthiness to this pretty floral fruity composition. I'm reminded of green bananas or banana peels in the mid to base. The scent is balsamic, softly sweet and skin-like. Longevity is average, as is projection. Cleopatra is just an enjoyable, easy to wear year-rounder especially for those who like musky, sweet scents. I prefer the scent of this just slightly over NR For Her, however NR beats this in performance.

I ADOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE the scent of the cream, oh I could buy buckets full. For some reason when I've tried the perfume or even the Cleopatra spray oil, it's completely and totally different. I've even contacted the company to find out if it's a totally different profile or what's different about the perfume from the cream and they wouldn't even entertain answering me. I got a very vague answer. The same thing happened to me with Angel, and Victor and Rolf Flower Bomb. I can dowse myself in the cream and it stays completely true but if I even get NEAR the colognes (except the EDPs) they turn into a granny perfume mess on me. Same thing happens to me with this one. Oh how I wish it smelled just like the cream. Alas, a girl can dream.

This is a lightweight fruity-musky concoction in a style that we've all seen before, but it's worth buying even if you have similar perfumes just because of how well crafted it is. It's lovely in hot weather and would be a perfect office perfume as it's rather inoffensive. On first sniff it almost made me cry because of how beautiful it was. It doesn't have quite the same quality on my skin, but I still like it a lot on myself. Everyone should own a girly, soft, musky fragrance, and I highly recommend Cleopatra to fill that role in your collection. There is a very slight alcohol scent lingering in the background of this one, which is usually a negative thing, but I find that it actually enhances this perfume.

Ooh I like this one. It's soft, feminine, but musky and alluring. I won't comment too much on the name, but it doesn't really remind me of Ancient Egypt (perhaps maybe ancient Alexandria?), however Cleopatra very well could have been this alluring kind of woman. The jasmine and green notes really come through for me. It isn't a bright citrusy scent despite the grapefruit note. The grapefruit is in there to round it out subtly, not to be too punchy. It's not sooo floral like the gardenia/tuberose bomb of Florence by Tocca (which was meh to me) but there's this lovely soft floral that is rounded out by these green notes and cassis. 8/10

Based on reviews I've seen Cleopatra is a mixed bag. For me it's green, fruity tropical, earthy, and skin-like. It's a mentholated patchouli, not the dirty kind. I could see layering with patchouli oil to enhance if you're a fan of the note. There's a light touch of ripe banana and juicy peach. It does smell like NR For Her but I like this better for its exotic flare. It's obviously musky, just not quite on the same level as the Narciso line. A great year round fragrance, but I enjoy it most in the spring. I had the half ounce mini and used it up so I may get another small bottle to have around.

My dad bought it for me before a couple of months, and I was actually watched different reviews about it, so I wanted so badly and when I smelled it for the first time I noticed that it's very very similar to Sara Jessica Parker, the Lovely one, that I have it too, however the top notes its not my test of smell at all, it's kind of annoying me, but when it came to a middle note and the base note, I totally love it! It smells so good. It stays almost all day in my skin, even though the hair perfumes its stay much longer than the perfume it doses. It’s perfect for a spring I recommend.

Cleopatra perfume smells amazing, I have not tried the other family members of Tocca. I own many bottles of perfumes ,and I must say that I don't have anything in my collection that smells quite like the Cleopatra. When I first purchased the perfume I purchased the small bottle and I must say It did not take me long to use the perfume up. I betrayed my other perfumes for this intoxicating fragrance. The perfume is a light fragrance best worn in spring and summer months of the year though in my opinion,however the wearer can choose the wear anytime of the year though.

This perfume takes more after Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 film 'Cleopatra' than it does Cleopatra herself. Pearls dissolved in vinegar and ridiculously large bubble baths. Filthy rich. It is most definitely fruity, airy and femme to the max but don't be fooled - the animalic note lurks around on the skin like an Egyptian Mau. This has been my signature scent for the last couple of months and I always get asked about it, so if a Tocca does Elizabeth Taylor does Cleopatra type scent sounds appealing to you, I would recommend it.

LOVE this fragrance. This smells JUST like sinner by KVD, a discontinued fragrance that was my signature scent in college. I’ve been searching for something that smelled like it ever since. If you hate patchouli, you probably won’t like this fragrance. I LOVE patchouli but don’t love the heavy woody or rose notes it’s usually paired with, so this is perfect. I got the tocca sample set and ordered the full size of this immediately. Such a nice white floral and musky patchouli scent. My new favorite fragrance.

This is a scent that, if I hadn't smelled myself, I never would've thought to pick up. I'm normally a gourmand/vanilla fan and citrus/sharp floral notes give me a headache. I think it's the musk/jasmine and patchouli notes that balance to make me really love Cleopatra. Its complexity makes it alluring and addictive. It's been my signature date-night scent for a decade now as it has a strong, seductive throw. A little goes a long way & I've gotten compliments from all genders.

This one is a little strange. I do love it though. On my skin, it started out a little metallic so I thought I hated it, at first. After about an hour, it transformed into something beautiful. If you hate it at first spray, WAIT. The drydown is completely different. It is very well made, as I can’t pinpoint specific notes except the prominent musk. The combination is just gorgeous. This one reminds me of something worn by a classy, confident, mature woman.

I absolutely adore this perfume. Right after the first date with my now-boyfriend, I knew he was ~the one~, and so I wanted a perfume that I could have as a reminder of the early years of our relationship. I bought Cleopatra, and to this day it is one of my favorites. When either of us smells it we are taken right back to those first few dates <3 It's unique and interesting, and fresh in a way you don't see a lot with musks. 10/10!!!

This is gorgeous. Like other Tocca fragrances I have smelled, Cleopatra smells like it is made of fresh ingredients, real flowers, nothing synthetic. This does smell like Lovely and Narcisso Rodriguez for her for sure, but it feels more feminine to me. I’m glad there are no cedar or pink pepper notes in this. It is softer, airier, and... yes, I’m just going to keep smelling my arm and stop rambling. I recommend this one for sure.

Just tried this and it smelled so familiar but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Then I started reading some reviews and people were comparing it to Narciso Rodriguez For Her and I understood my nostalgia. For Her is one of my all time favorite fragrances and as they aren’t identical, they share similar DNA. Surprisingly long lasting power considering it’s from Tocca. Musky, sensual, and definitely for the patchouli lovers.

i honestly can't believe how polarized these reviews are because i can say without a shadow of a doubt this is the most beautiful scent of all time (in my opinion). it's been my signature for years and no matter how many new expensive perfumes i buy i always go back to it. it's definitely overtly sexual but vintage... like a 1960s french softcore film. incredibly intoxicating and mesmerizing this is like sex in a bottle

I received a sample of the Boston for my birthday and absolutely adore it. It smells so yummy! I usually avoid patchouli but that is definitely the joy of gifts — trying something you would have written off otherwise. I don’t get the cloying scent of patchouli in this; it seems to be balanced out by the musks and vanillas, essentially making it my perfect scent. So far, I really love this for spring daytime wear!

I’ve been looking for the perfect powdery floral fragrance for quite some time, and no other scent has fit the bill quite like Cleopatra by Tocca. I’m not picking up on the grapefruit or black currant notes whatsoever, but all the other notes are blended so beautifully. It makes me think of walking through a lush cloud of white, rosy/floral powder in a rainy, wet forest.

Although this is my "fancy" scent for formal occasions (as it does have more of a "classic" women's perfume profile than what I normally gravitate toward), I think it would do fine in a work setting. Cleopatra isn't anything groundbreaking, necessarily, but it is what really got me interested in fragrance, so it has a special place in my heart.

This is my second review but on my second bottle! I love this perfume and last month had a nice lady at Old Navy tell me she had smelled it in the store and was enjoying the light trail and she was so happy to find the source! I happily told her the perfume and went on my merry way😀. A nice compliment to myself and the perfume!

This was my first purchase in the tocca line and I fell in love. Now that I have all of them I like it a little less because gia blew me away but I still love this lovely white floral. Its a very clean sweet musky feminine fragrance that won't offend anyone. I really love the packaging and find it so classy and girly.

i recently bought lazy sunday morning and im coming back to this bc i never realized how similar the two were to the point where i feel like cleopatra could be a flanker with a name like naughty sunday morning or smth LMAOO like it's got everything lazy sunday morning has but without the clean vibes and i love that

A complex, fruity patchouli musk. So well blended and smooth. Very similar to Narciso for Her EDT and EDP but with more green and citrus coming through. If you don't like patchouli, stay away. I love it! Can smell like BO if you wear it in the summer, but it's perfect for spring and fall in my opinion.

It's been a while, but from memory it opens so juicy, grapefruity and fresh-fruity. Delicious. Opening fades pretty quickly, and becomes a lovely, creamy patchouli musk. Bit lighter and more girly than SJP Lovely or For Her EDT, which are kinda stinky. But maybe my memory has given it more innocence.

Not to toot my own horn, but this perfume smells AMAZING on me. My skin chemistry usually fails me when it comes to particularly "feminine" fragrances, but this really shines. Just complex enough. She's juicy, musky, a little powdery, too. This scent might not be for everyone, but I love it!

One of my very favorite scents. It is the epitome of femme, mature (but not old), sophisticated, delicate, but quietly powerful. Definitely Cleopatra vibes all the way. When I wear this, I feel ultra womanly and goddess-like.

This is cut tuberose and soaked with greens in a vase on a kitchen counter. Wafting into the background is Laundry popped in the dryer, windows open after rain. It's so green and fresh! Very springy. I love this

I might not have identified this scent as something I’d love based on the notes alone but a friend let me try a spritz of hers and I’m obsessed! It’s really lovely and sexy

This is a mature rich eclectic lady. Has a vintage vibe, Heavy and long lasting. Musky, tuberose, jasmine dominant. Takes a confident woman to wear this. Just beautiful.

For some reason, this was very green and fruity on me. It reminds me of cucumber melon from BBW. I absolutely love it.

As usual, I received a few samples of different perfumes with the purchase of a full bottle fragrance that I had bought a few months ago. I hadn't tried this one or the Gia one, so I gave it a go. •It opens with a sharp, nature healthy kind of sweet (very little peach) over a little fresh green. I liked it right away. I thought "Yes a winner". No, wait... within 15 minutes or so I didn't like it at all, and I was almost about to wash it off. •It turned very powdery, almost suffocating. Because of the powder of the Tuberose, in my mind, it quickly made it a mature and antiquated scent. But wait, not a powdery old lady rose kind of scent. It was more of an antique store in hot and dry New Mexico sort of place. I still wanted to take it off, but I got busy for about an hour and forgot about it. Then... Convinced I'd want to wash it off, I smelled the scent on my wrist where I had sprayed this and I actually liked it. Now I was confused. The smell brought to mind a beautiful historical library. Well kept solid wooden floors, leather books, musky pages, and a professionally dressed sexy brunette librarian, a-lo 80s Carol Alt. What was going on? Where did that over powering floral powder go? It turned sexy, sultry, and salty! A musky ocean salt on a gorgeous sunny day. Not warm like the Caribbean and the Atlantic ocean, but more of a Jordan River sunny day and salty soil. I looked for the sample to find out it's name. Cleopatra You have got to be kidding me! I got all the abovementioned before I knew its name. Whelp, all I can say is I can see the correlation between the scent and the name. •Wow! I absolutely like it a lot. I'd say love, but I still don't like that blast of powder in the beginning. I'll read all the reviews below now. I like to form my opinion first, and then compare.

Cleopatra is another unchallenging feminine scent from Tocca that is, however, pleasant and good-quality. It is a musky floral in the vein of SJP Lovely/Narciso Rodriguez For Her/Estée Lauder Modern Muse et al., but is a brighter, greener, less musky riff on this scent profile - making for an effortlessly elegant scent for everyday use. Cleopatra opens with bright fruity notes, bolstered by a fresh, green accord. The blackcurrant is more fresh than sweet, with a lovely underlying greenness. There is some citric freshness up top too, thanks to the grapefruit. The soft, underlying muskiness that follows, developing slowly on my skin as the perfume progresses. It softens the radiant freshness beautifully. Powdery white florals form the heart of this scent, enhanced nicely by the fresh, damp green notes of the opening. The clean muskiness also complements the florals beautifully as this scent develops. Powdery peach adds a sweet edge, an unusual inclusion at this stage, but it really works. It becomes sweetly musky as it fades, with powdery vanilla adding some soft sweetness at the drydown stage. A pinch of patchouli adds an earthy counterpoint that complements the remnants of the musky florals nicely here. It fades to a sweet musky skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate. A transeasonal feminine scent, this musky floral is a gem. It is set apart from similar scents by being fresher, greener and marginally less musky. Perhaps my favourite Tocca - I guess I saved the best for last. 4/5.

okay so i was in mecca looking to buy a new signature perfume good for the current weather, but i ended up impulsively buying this scent because it reminded me an awful lot of my late grandma. when i tested it in store it was absolutely amazing, the scent from what i can remember was somewhat sweet and the greens and florals were very apparent, and dont even get me started on the sillage people could smell me from miles away, and after 45 seconds of having this scent i instantly bought it thinking i'd adore it! fast forward to the day after i buy it, i spray it once or maybe even twice on myself and the scent was a bit like sucking a lemon and it didn't last too long on me, its a very mature scent i must add and i (a 16 year old girl) felt that this was just not it for me. now i am not a big fan of patchouli (i am quite a big hater actually) and i initially did not smell any of it with the tester but on the first spray all i can smell is patchouli with the smallest hint of amber and vanilla. after the scent dries down you experience more of the sweeter and floral notes! tldr; very mature and somewhat androgynes scent, great to wear at night time in the shift between winter and spring, extremely pungent with a sour note at first but the dry down provides you with such a lovely scent!

I have a complicated relationship with this perfume. Let's start at the beginning. I picked this up in a luxury home goods store, surrounded by expensive candles, linens, antique ladles, tea towels -- a bunch of bougie stuff. In the spirit of timelessness and wealth, Cleopatra smelled incredible that day. The musky, fruity, floral qualities were intoxicating, and I bought a full-size bottle directly after testing, right then and there. For a couple of months, I wore it every single day. It became my signature scent, and I never grew tired of it. Then one day, it just changed. Suddenly, it was more powdery and sweet than anything, and I realized that reviews dubbing it a "grandma" scent were right. It was giving floral-patterned velvet sofa, potpourri, and lace doilies. I stopped wearing it completely, and it sat on my dresser for months. A few days ago, I returned to it. Once again, I found it to be a wonderful, intricate scent. This is a unique perfume, and I have yet to conclude my feelings about it. Currently, I will say I enjoy it, but it's no longer something I'd wear daily. I would use this on more specific occasions, like a date to the orchestra or dinner at a nice restaurant. I'll hang on to the bottle. Who knows, I may grow into its maturity.

okokokok listen: Cleopatra is a misunderstood QUEEN of a perfume. I will admit it is heavy and mature, like others have described, especially in comparison to the light, coastal scents Tocca is known for. I will also admit that I hated this perfume each time I smelled it in store. I only own it because it's part of Tocca's Mini Discovery Set which I got for christmas and enjoyed very much. So, after I had already worn all the other perfumes in the set, I figured I would try Cleopatra for a day. I sprayed my wrist and my scarf, and immediately felt transformed into a woman double my age with wild hair who's been smoking for half her life and would rather drink paint water than entertain some rando telling her what to do. I went out to run my errands powerfully, like queen Cleopatra running her kingdom. This perfume perfectly evokes the intelligent, confident, and powerful ruler that Rome feared. There is no trace of the seductive beauty history tried to reduce her to, as if the only way for a woman to gain power is through the sexuality of men. This might not be a perfume I would wear every day, but I can see myself missing the tester once it's gone.

If you are into traditional perfumes that are very classy, you might like Cleopatra. This is a perfume that is made to be someone's easy reach, safe, everyday, clean fragrance in the best tradition of the perfumes from the past.You will not smell aldehydes here. Not everyday is made for something that screams outrageous and out of this world and in your face sexy or night out. This one is for everyday, work, church, meeting with parents in law, being by yourself, or in the company of others and smelling classy, timeless. In the likes of Gabrielle by Chanel, J'adore, Idylle and Lovely (but not the same smell- just the vibe). Having said that, it is not a safe blind buy. Either it will be a love or a strong dislike, it does not smell like it will be everybody's favorite. And also, I haven't really smelled anything that is a close dupe to it yet. I used to be able to smell it at Sephora. And I adore the whole line of Tocca fragrances. If you don't love this one, you are bound to find something else that is sure to captivate. I would like to add, that I get a bit of a dusty vibe here that might not appeal to some.

I bought this in the same deal where I got tocca Florence (which i knew I'd love) and I just don't love ms. cleo like florence. I think I don't find Patchouli to be the nicest scent profile, given the bulk of the scents I like but end up feeling "it feels like if one thing went, I'd really like or love this" feature it quite heavily. Here it really sticks out, given I adore a good musky scent. Nothing wrong with this perfume at all (in fact the girls at work often compliment it for how classy it smells) , but it's a perfume I'd give away or declutter if space became an issue. Not for me, absolutely the scent for someone else. Edit: I've grown to enjoy this scent after a few attempts now it's freezing and something thicker is key. It does remain the least favorite of my 3 toccas (Florence, Giuiletta and Cleopatra) , but I'm not in a rush to move the bottle on anymore. I saw someone say this smells like musky blackcurrant Ribena, and it absolutely does. Glad to have experienced it.

Cleopatra is probably the most feminine musk-forward scent I've ever smelled. This clean musk note dominates the entire wear experience, and is powerfully complimented by the jasmine and tuberose notes. I get a hint of the peach and black currant in the opening, however, the musk and jasmine are the main stars throughout. While this has a pretty decent projection, this unfortunately wears for about 2 hours. This fragrance is simultaneously classically feminine with a seductive eccentricity. This is definitely one of my favorites from the Tocca scents I've smelled, though I would warn against blind buying it. I can definitely see how this could read as grandma-y on someone, and the fact that it lasts for maybe 2 hours is unfortunate. I'm not sure if I would repurchase once I'm done with the .17 oz, but it's a beautiful little experience to wear in the meantime.

I was very intrigued by the reviews here, and I do love musks. So I just had to get my nose on this. Does it smell like cat piss? haha yes! do I like it? crazy enough, Yes! Its so weird how I love it and at the same time I'm repulsed by it. Something about it makes me want to wear it all the time, and I keep wanting to sniff my arm when I wear it. but then, I'm also worried other people are going to smell it on me. it really is as people say, its very musky, very orange-y, and also high on the patchouli! smell a bit acrid, and dirty, but also citrusy and effervescent and bright. the complexity make it really interesting. it smells kinda like coco mad without the rose and helpings of musk. a more modern and rough coco mad if you ask me. but as a lover of all things orange, patchouli and musk.. must say I do enjoy this cute little weirdo

Cleopatra is certainly "signature-scent" worthy. If it had better wear, it would be a contender. This is simply a beautiful powdery floral. Very seductive and coy. The name suits the fragrance perfectly. It's nothing revolutionary, but it's reliable and inoffensive. Because the projection and wear is pretty poor, I tend to use this mostly as a layering perfume. I love to use it with harsher fragrances like Glossier You or Too Faced Better Than Sex to lighten them up. Unfortunately, you have to buy the biggest size to get a bottle with an atomizer, so that is a negative, but the bottle is gorgeous nonetheless. It's like a work of art on your vanity. For the price, you cannot go wrong with Cleo if you like a powdery floral! Rating: 7.5/10

I purchased a Tocca sample set & Cleopatra was the 2nd perfume from the set I've tried. I was hesitant to wear it since the day was going to be HOT & wearing anything musky in heat isn't my style. However, it was surprisingly light & fresh at the beginning. I wasn't too sure about it, but as the day wore I enjoyed how it developed even in nearly 100 degree weather, at my kid's softball game, & through wearing a mosquito bracelet. There's something fairly old fashioned about it the longer it wears - powdery but not overly so with a smidge of warmth from the musk & amber. It's like hugging my great aunt decades ago. This would be an easy scent to wear daily & is maybe light enough to wear to work.

On me, Cleopatra is like chocolate covered currant berries with a little spice. It's has a surprisingly juicy and sweet fruit element, and also woods. The musk and patchouli are there, but don't come through very strong on my skin. I get hints of the rest of the notes, but they round things out rather than competing for attention. I enjoy this fragrance a lot. In fact, it is one of the only Tocca scents I like. But like others have said, I think the name is a poor choice. I imagine a scent named after Cleopatra to be more luxurious and dry. Something that captures heat, power, and royalty. Instead, this is an approachable scent that draws you in to cuddle.

I received this perfume in a Christmas advent calendar and dismissed it at first. However, on warmer days this perfume comes into its own and is very pleasing to the nose. I work in a school (younger children) and several of them told me they liked my perfume today. If you've worked with kids you'll know how hard it is to get a compliment from them so for this one to receive more than one is telling. I like the green/floral/musk combination it just seems to work without being overwhelming. It smells "cool" (temperature wise) to me and although it isn't the longest lasting scent I own I don't mind reapplying it a couple of times during the day.
