Florence Hair Fragrance

Bought this as a gift for my mother (who is in her 40s), both of us absolutely love it. It's light, flowery, subtle yet so memorable. And since it's a hair fragrance, it seems to last longer than other perfume I've had so far. Can bearly sense the woodsy note and can't smell the bergamot at all, only gardenia. Now I have to order another bottle because my mom and I use it up almost completely. Very elegant and reminds me of my mother.

Been wearing the Florence hair fragrance as an Eau de toilette. I really enjoy it, mainly gardenia and that’s great for me because it’s not overbearing.

This is missing the pear note that's in the perfume, though I didn't know that at the time I purchased it. I bought a mini fragrance set from TJ Maxx last winter that came with a roller ball of the perfume and a travel sprayer of this. Wearing them together, I was a little disappointed that it didn't match the perfume. It smells more like Kim Kardashian's signature scent than Florence. It also overpowered the perfume, but that probably had more to do with the fact that it is a spray and the perfume a roller ball, which doesn't give a lot of coverage. While I still like it, I just wish it matched the scent. I thought that was the purpose of a "matching" hair fragrance? Well, just an fyi, this one doesn't. That's disappointing, because I've really come to love that juicy pear note in the perfume and hoped I would get it here too. One thing I can say is it has great longevity and silage, which is missing in Kardashian's fragrance, so I'll probably wind up wearing this with that fragrance instead of Florence. I've since bought a bottle of Florence perfume, which I can use in my hair if I like. But, since I usually don't wear perfume that way anyway, it's not an issue. Overall, while I think it is pretty, if it wasn't a part of a set, it's not something I would have bought on its own anyway. But I did want to let others know that it is not the same exact scent as the perfume, so they won't be as disappointed as I was.

This is almost 100% pure gardenia, to my nose. I like it. It is mildly soapy. It has good staying power and average projection. I feel so elegant spraying this in my hair. It's a grown-up floral that isn't too heavy or musky. It makes me think of winter, although that's probably because I bought it from Anthropologie around Christmastime.

Very fresh, sweet floral. Not powdery, not too heady. Slightly soapy, but like expensive perfumed soap - not laundry suds or antibacterial hand soap.
