Florence

This is an absolutely beautiful fragrance. It is like a fairy bottled morning dew from an orchard. It's so fresh but not like the usual freshie scent, not watery, and it is unlike anything else I've ever smelled. A lot of white floral perfumes are very screechy, overwhelming, and headache inducing, and this is anything but. I usually don't like very green perfumes but this is so unique. The green is gentle, it reminds me of rain soaked leaves but without any kind of earthiness. The pear and green apple notes are very strong on my skin, the gardenia is so stunning and realistic, the tuberose and jasmine are not at all cloying or overbearing. All of the notes are blended beautifully but each one stands out. I can't compare it to anything else. I can't do it justice with my words. This is a high quality perfume and very good value. I tried it in store and couldn't stop sniffing my wrist. I ordered a bottle the next day, and I just adore it. Instant favourite. I don't have another perfume in my collection like it. I will be wearing this often in spring, it's the perfect spring fragrance. It reminds me of a cool but sunny spring day, when flowers are budding and the chill of winter has finally gone. The sillage of this surprised me, it's very potent for such a fresh, clean scent, but not in an overbearing way. Good longevity too. Also, I just love Tocca's bottles. They're very expensive looking and look beautiful on display, the metal caps are gorgeous, and it overall has a very vintage quality. They look like they'd sit on the vanity of a fairytale princess. Higher quality than most luxury perfumes.

Generally, I've been unimpressed with Tocca's offerings. I've tried many of their scents, and by chance I ended up with a small sample of Florence as a freebie. For once, I found myself surprised at how much I enjoyed a Tocca perfume. Consider me even more surprised when I found out the notes, because in general, I am not a fan of tuberose. Jasmine and me don't get along. Gardenia is hit or miss. Normally not a white floral person, at all. But, Tocca does something nice with Florence. It's clean and fresh, bright in the opening but warm and creamy as it dies down. I attribute that to the iris and the musk. I didn't find it over-powering, but I could see why some might find it pretty strong, the longevity and sillage near 7-8 hours for me. Ultimately, I found myself getting a smaller 20mL bottle when the sample was gone, and once the 20mL got low, I found a full sized bottle in my cart. It's a perfume I'm happy to have in my collection, perfect to pull out when I want something a little more soft and floral than my typical gourmands and warm woods.

This smells extremely similar to Michael Kors "Michael" so if you have one you probably don't need the other unless you are a tuberose fanatic like me. This is slightly lighter than MK and doesn't sting the back of my throat when I smell it like MK does (Michael is incredibly strong). It has those gorgeous fruity notes along with a strong tuberose and gardenia, it smells almost tropical to me and I think it would be fine in summer if you spray lightly. I get a little woody musk in the drydown but I wouldn't say it's a "musky" fragrance. Fantastic performance, this will last you all day and will give you a fantastic scent bubble. If you overspray too much you will probably feel a little suffocated though. I love it and I think it's a very beautiful tuberose fragrance 💕 EDIT: the more I wear this the more I'm getting that banana scent others have mentioned. It's especially apparent when you sniff it from the bottle. I love it even more now!

I think a negative review based on the fact someone doesnt know what gardenia smells like, ends up not liking it and blames the perfume is senseless & not helpful. This is gardenia dominant backed up by some tuberose & pear(fresh, not sweet). They didnt do what other perfumes did, it seems when its mixed its usually 50/50 with tuberose. They made a good decision here to let the gardenia dominante. Everything else its blended beautifully and enhances the gardenia. Its a beautiful fragrance. Ive tried a lot of them EL Tuberose Gardenia, their new Beautiful Belle, Kim Kardashians, Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia, etc.. And none have nailed the gardenia like Tocca did. Its a love for me since the longevity is very good. 12 hours later & I could still smell it with the perfect medium sillage. This is just a very well made perfume.

My favourite of the animalic white floral variety. Smells like Chanel gardenia or recreation beauty Bondi beach this love of mine. The former being very pleasant and the latter being obnoxiously sweet. Some might describe this as too sweet but I think the fresh green notes keep this from becoming overly cloying. More a tuberose fragrance than gardenia in my opinion. Lovely in summer. Carries some nostalgia for me. I don’t often like these types of white florals as there are now a lot of them out there, but this is still good for what it is. There is something in that luscious pear note that keeps bringing me back to this scent on warm days. I noticed people tend to complain about longevity for some of the Tocca perfumes. In my opinion Florence can be smelled on my hair and skin for a couple of days.

I left a review for this a while ago and loved it, but I decided to purchase the dry body oil, and it is wonderful. Soft and subtle dreamy gardenia with a luscious pear note. This dry oil feels wonderful on the skin without any oiliness and absorbs right away leaving it very soft. I think it will be nice with a little bit run through my hair too. It actually smells closer to the perfume than the Florence hair fragrance does. That smells more like Kim Kardashian's tuberose perfume, and it is also missing the delicious, nectary pear note that I love so much here. Since I didn't want a repeat disappointment, I put off buying this for fear that it wouldn't smell like the perfume, but I am happy to report, it smells exactly the same. At $40 for 100ml bottle it's a pretty good deal too.

This bottle has me blown away. I watched a video of Olivia Olfactory of her 10/10 perfumes, and this was on her list. Hey, don't judge, I'm always on the lookout for a 10/10! I love floral perfumes, but a lot of times they turn musky on me in a short time frame, even if musk isn't called out in the notes. This is absolutely stunning!! I get strong Tuberose & Gardenia, in the most beautifully soft way possible. There isn't a lot if complexity here, but it also isn't basic. If you do not like white floral, this is NOT for you. However, if you are looking for a gorgeous white floral, that gives visions of a summer wedding surrounded by white flowers, this is your girl! I am a huge fan, for me this has risen to my favorite floral, just above vintage Evelyn Rose.

I have always loved fragrance....when I was a kid there was a kid's "perfume maker" that I had. You had these little "scent wands" (i.e. a cute version of the solid bathroom deodorizer we all used), that you would add to water inside these decorative plastic bottles. You would put the scent wand into the bottle and spin it around in a tiny centrifuge. I don't remember all of the scents, but I remember the gardenia one. It was my favorite. It was blue (for some reason). I'd spin the bottle as fast as I could, trying to squeeze every drop of scent from the wand. The first time I smelled this perfume, I was right back there . I love it, love it, love it. It is my spring scent and now it's old and redundant enough to be $16.99 at TJM. Thank you universe!

My best friend bought me a tester as Florence is my middle name and the notes sounded like everything I love. She joked saying it was made for me and boy was she right! Sweet pear and white florals, the grapefruit & violet leaves give this a refined cut grass freshness without the hay note that can come from grassy scents. This is a glorious smell, wholesome, excellent longevity on my skin - I could smell it the next morning! - whenever I wear this I’m always complimented or asked what I’m wearing. If you’re not a fan of fresh and white floral scents this one may not be for you. If you like a more sexy and sultry scent this won’t be for you. This is elegant, clean, sweet and bright. Suitable for special occasions or as a pricey signature scent

Personally one of my favorite fragrances I’ve ever gotten. This will be an odd review and I don’t think others will agree with me but it genuinely is such a nostalgia revoker for me. It’s a very clean, flowery, pure scent. The gardenia is extremely strong and it’s the first thing you’ll pick up in a fragrance like this. It reminds me of liminal space. Specifically a hotel. I used to live by a lot of casinos as a kid and it reminded me a lot of when you’d walk down the halls and could smell the fragrant air trying to cover up the cigarette smoke from lingering passerbys. I also personally get a soft almost aquatic note in there but that’s just me, it reminds a lot of a fountain in the reception area. Very very liminal space for me.

This smells like a tropical Rivendell! This is perfect for me, as a Florida elf. :) I love Gucci Bloom and J'Adore Infinissime, and Tocca is definitely in their general direction--although the gardenia is present/more vibrant. Tocca is both warm and cold. Not the most friendly scent, but isn't harsh or especially introverted either. An ambivert scent for elegant and feminine vintage lovers. [Although I definitely oversprayed yesterday in excitement of my sample and ended up giving myself a headache from making the scent too noxious. But one strong spray on each wrist and a little squirt behind the ears is just the right amount for it to last the whole day. (I put the on about 9 hours ago and it's still a skin scent.)]

I love the white floral in this, it makes me for like a cat in catnip. I can't stop smelling it. My signature scent used to be Michael Kors Michael Kors until this de-throwned it. Before that I used to love Amarige, so it feels like kind of a story arc for me - I love white floral but want to be modern. The pear, apple, and musk is jusssst enough to smell like a pretty shampoo in the background. So it smells fresh like a shower, instead of heavy like the 90's aldehydes. This could easily be a daily wear, it fits on the weekend or in the office, or in the park, or running errands. Just pretty, polished, classic.

The smell of a freshly peeled honeycrisp apple lingering in the air mixed with, what I assume would be, a photorealistic pear. A kiss of gardenia and a caress of freshly bloomed jasmine as it settles to the skin. Followed by a shadow of white musk with a wink of amberette. I don't know why, but some fragrances have different scent stories depending on the weather and even the location. This scent was my favorite while living in Manhattan. I would almost always pair it with a gentle amount of Amber oil by Nemat, and for the first time in my life, it made gentlemen turn heads as I passed.

I love love love this fragrance. It is the first fragrance I have really fallen in love with, used my whole bottle in under a year. I absolutely love the composition of this fragrance, it is such a beautiful floral mixed with juicy pear and I just can not get enough of it. It smells so beautiful and elegant without smelling old to me. There is something so special about the composition to me, I am not fragrance expert and my husband would disagree, but I just adore this fragrance. It is quiet pricey especially for the strength but I can not find anything I like as much as this one.

It smells like sour apple candy mixed with shampoo on my skin for some reason. It sounds gross, but I'm in love with it. It smells like DKNY Be delicious but you trade the aquatic finish you get on DKNY for a bit of a powdery smell. Reminds me a little of my love of V&R Tigerlily. It's a type of perfume that often feels a ill suited for general use (DKNY never feels right unless it's a high energy event or the dead of summer) and turns it into something you can wear to any occasion. Deceptively unisex for how it smells fresh and clean over something more candy sweet.

This one is oh so divine! I sometimes just open my bottle and deeply inhale. ( I have a 5ml splash sampler and it just wafts out quite lovely! ) don't much like white floral perfumes- but this is incredible. It smells like a real gardenia and whatever else it's blended with is just perfect. I feel comforted by this one, transported, it's a genuine experience for me. I love that I can enjoy this right out of the bottle and it doesn't have to mellow out or anything💗 Whoever made this- Ellen Molner- 12/10. Amazing.

I felt so triumphant finding this one. I am really picky about florals. I like some rose and some white floral scents. Neither can be too sweet for me, and white florals have to lean green or chypre, and even then, there are few I really love. I set out to find a straightforward, clean, traditional white floral, non-chypre type scent and this is it. It's uncomplicated and easy. It is a beautiful blend and I have it waiting in my line up for when spring comes. Wears fairly close - decent longevity.

Gardenia is one of my favourite white florals to wear in summer, and Florence truly lets it shine. It’s beautifully balanced with pear, apple and soft white floral notes, creating something that feels fresh, delicate, airy and effortlessly pretty. Olivia Olfactory was right when she described this fragrance as having a vintage charm. I can picture a pretty lady in the 1940s (perhaps named Florence), wearing it to a picnic in an orchard, with soft blonde curls and a floral sundress. Just lovely!

I got this at Marshall’s as a stocking stuffer for my perfume loving 10 year old. It was part of a sample set with Stella and Cleopatra. This one was my immediate favorite. It is sweeter than what I’d normally go for, but I’m a sucker for gardenia. It reminds me of the hot summer Georgia days of my childhood. It doesn’t say it has honeysuckle in it, but that’s what it evokes for me. I borrow this one from my daughter and layer it with Narciso Rodriguez Her EDP because I like my musk.

THIS SMELLS SO GOOD I COULD CRY. It's so lovely, it makes me emotional. It's floral, creamy, sweet, fruity, airy, fresh, and beautiful. I can smell the pear and the white flowers. It smells so much like a juicy, sweet fresh pear! It’s fascinating. I can also smell some juicy green apple and the jasmine. It's gorgeous. Breezy, feminine, and reminiscent of the warmer months. Florence is a divine, smooth perfume that smells like happiness and sunshine to me. Wow. 10/10.

i dont usually go out of my way for floral fragrances but i just couldnt resist this one... this. smells. so good!!! its a very fresh, sweet fruity floral which is honestly a combo ive always liked. it smells like im a fairy in a flower meadow eating fresh pears and apples on a warm sunny day. very lovely ♡ this was so worth driving 30+ minutes to the nearest mall with an anthropologie. ill definitely wear it in spring when theres an opportunity :3

I love this smell because it feels entirely like spring without being pretentiously sweet like a lot of spring scents. It's subtle and heavily white floral, would've preferred to smell the pear more clearly but as a scent it is good. I layer it with the Florence body oil and a powder over the top to help the scent last because on it's own it doesn't last long. Similarly I hoped it would project further.

I absolutely love this scent from TOCCA! I have searched for a floral scent with all my faves: Gardenia, Iris, Jasmine and this one is it and it has a perfect blend of fruitiness to it as well. I also didn't hear my kids or husband say it is a "Grandma" scent! I am a grandma but I like to smell like I still feel and that is young at heart! I will be finding a full size of this!

I believe I’m on my fourth bottle of this one! I absolutely adore this from spring through the end of summer! I also get honeysuckle!! We had a honeysuckle bush in the yard when I was little. It’s definitely what I smell although not listed! It lasts forever, projects well and is stunning on hot summer nights! Gorgeous! I have several backups, so I’ll have it forever! Love 💕

Perfect summer ( or all year) signature fragrance. It’s fresh it’s a green floral the Gardenia for me is dominant and I always get compliments when I wear it. I work in healthcare it’s subtle enough yet still there and I can imagine this fragrance being great on flight attendants too who want something fresh and inn offensive. It makes me feel put together and very feminine

A delicious nutty, slightly bitter green apple. Just the right amount of fruitiness. Classy old-world charm. Breezy and soft, but at the same time quite assertive. I think it's lovely. The only downside is that it doesn't last long on me. It reminds me of Chelsea Flowers by Bond no. 9, but it's much smoother than that fragrance. This is what I wanted Chelsea Flowers to be.

this was one of my favorite perfumes in college. it will always invoke a sense of "grown up"ness in me. while my friends wore VS body sprays, I had this weighty glass bottle that made me feel soooo sophisticated. The whole Tocca suite of fragrances has a mature (though not elderly) appeal, even if my preference in scent these days leans towards the more complicated.

Okay. It's official. This one wins. I've spent pretty much the last three months sampling like 50 perfumes in the search for my signature scent, and in my opinion, none of them compare to this beauty. What really stands out to me in this one is pears, gardenia, and apple. Somehow it's like creamy and fresh and juicy and just gorgeous all at once. I'm obsessed.

This is a beautiful dewy and watery yet creamy white floral. Gardenia is the note I get the most from this scent, and it is a refreshing, lightly sweet gardenia. The wearer is in a short dress, walking down the street of a park lined with flowers, the air is slightly humid due to the spring rain that had occurred an hour earlier. Very classy and pretty.

I think this is just beautiful. Very heavy on the gardenia and jasmine with a fresh but sweet pear/apple note. Very wearable, ‘classic’ smelling fragrance. The moment it hits my nose I picture my mum and granny’s lush gardens on a sunny early morning in spring, morning dew still glistening on the leaves, fruit and flowers. Such a lovely, soft scent!

This is one of my favourite fragrances and my favourite of Tocca's line, I'm so sad that it's hard to get in Canada. It's a beautiful, gardenia-forward fragrance. I typically avoid green fragrances, but this one has enough sweetness to make it a crowd pleaser. I do see the Gucci Bloom comparisons, but that one is more tuberose-forward than this

It's not the most interesting or unexpected scent in the world but it's quite agreeable. Definitely a white floral with a hint of tuberose and cream to round it out. The fruity notes of apple and pear are there, but you kind of have to look (smell?) for them to identify them. All together, it's fresh, like a walk in a garden (minus the soil).

I am devoted to floral perfumes. 'Florence' is one of my favorite floral fragrances. I loved it from the moment I first encountered it. The only gripe I have is that I wish it lasted longer on me, which is a common theme for all of the Tocca fragrances. Other than that, it is a delightful fragrance.

I personally love gardenia and bought this perfume essentially for that reason. It's very white floral forward, but the other notes blend very well into the gardenia. Would recommend for spring and summer, but gardenia to me also feels very cozy and warm for transitioning into the night and autumn.

This is the white floral I have been looking for. It is beautifully balanced. Sweet, but not too sweet. Green, but not too green. Creamy, but not too creamy. I like it better than Gucci Bloom. Longevity on me is about 4 hours . It is similar to the original Kim Kardashian perfume, but more fresh.

10/10 for me. I got it in an anthropology advent calendar a few years ago and knew immediately that it would become my signature. I’ve always loved white florals, and i really like the pear element to this fragrance which i think helps it not smell too mature. I wish it lasted a teeny bit longer

I really love this little gem. It’s fresh, green, and not at all cloying. The tuberose note is strong but think bubblegum, not rotting flowers, and the white florals are balanced nicely with fruity top notes. Longevity is pretty good too. I do hate the splash bottle that it typically come in

Love! Very floral. To me smells like wisteria, Jasmine, and pear. Also has a slight bubblegum smell after an hr or so. Would definitely reccomend if you're into sweet, fruity florals. But definitely wouldn't reccomend as a blind buy. I can see it being too strong and nauseating for some...

Fresh, creamy, springtime white floral. Really lovely. I find some of the TOCCA scents a bit too fruity but this is a lovely floral green scent; the pear and apple are crisp rather than sweet. If you like gardenia scents you should love this. Performance is also above average for TOCCA.

It's rare that I like any perfume that is white floral forward, but this is so well balanced between the gardenia and pear that it is actually one of my favorite perfumes ever. Feels like what a princess would wear while roaming the palace garden. Green and youthful yet mature.

A simple, somewhat spicy and oaky white floral fragrance loaded with tuberose. It's creamy, piney and more delicious than a bowl of assorted spices. There's a bit of sandalwood whose creaminess works in tandem with the tuberose and gardenia. Rather enjoyable

At first spray, it smells like gardenia but in my skin it smells like a pine breeze fresh pine mountain. Smells so good on me. I thought I will not like the smell but as it lingers through the air, I realized it really smells good. 2 sprays are enough.

The thick aroma of summer gardenias in full bloom in the middle of August. Creamy and velvety white floral with a crisp, distinct fruit note on the back end to me, perhaps pear. Gorgeous fragrance. Lasts a long time, very moderate silage.

Creamy, fresh, and sweet gardenia, jasmine and tuberose. Reminds me of the flowers that used to be outside the front door of my childhood home. A springtime faerie's signature scent. I might need a full bottle of this.

If you are thinking about buying this, sample Flowerhead by Byredo and Pure Poison by Dior as well n then make your decision. They are of the same vein. This one is great for work if you at a fragrance-free workplace

I have the unfortunate experience of smelling Green Banana Peel in most Gardenia fragrances. This Gardenia is a holy grail. Hot days. Cold days. Wet days. Dry days. It performs like a star in all of them. What a hit!

My dental hygienist told me I smelled like "petals" and asked me what I was wearing. It was this. She bought it on the spot. Popular for a reason! Crowd pleaser for white floral enjoyers. Eternal favorite.

I used to own this and am thinking of picking up another bottle. It's incredibly beautiful, heady, and sweet, and as someone who tends to love both gardenia and sweet fragrances, this one really delivers.

My mouth literally waters every time I smell it. I’m not a huge sweet person but this is a different kind of sweet. MMMM. But this with my allergies in the spring... not too fun
