Simone

This has quickly moved into my "top 10 for life" scents, Simone is a true fresh fruity scent but has been done so well, that it does not smell juvinile or cheap. Tocca scents arent widely available here in the UK so this was a blind buy, a very successful one at that too! Simone opens up in such a refreshing way; cooling watermelon and green apple are the first notes that jump out at me with a light dusting of fresh lemon zest, it never veers into body spray territory on me and it never smells like a cheap shower gel. Floral notes emerge and harmoniously blend with the fresh, aquatic notes in the opening, I mainly get freesia and a little frangipani and towards the end a little ylang ylang pops out. I should also point out that the freesia in Simone isn't screechy or sharp, its very well blended and smooth here. Simone dries down to a delightful fruity musk on my skin with some soft woodsy notes, but, it never smells stale, its maintains its freshness throughout wear and feels uplifting while doing so. Silage is soft and longevity is ok on me, it lasts about 5 hours, that being said its fresh softness makes Simone and excellent summer choice as it never gets cloying and also makes it perfect for office wear. In my mind, I can picture someone wearing a crisp, white button down shirt with beachy waves, a nice pair of jeans and ballet flats or converse walking through Bath during a warm spring/summer day, it literally is that relaxed but elegant vibe bottled and I LOVE it! Future repurchase and so far I cannot stop myself from reaching for it, big, fat, HUGE love!

Crisp apple, realistic lemon, and refreshing watermelon. Aquatic and transparent. Tart but not sour. Romantic and classy without trying too hard. Projection is intimate but it holds up in the heat and lasts around 4 hours. The watermelon and ozonic notes are the most prominent. The lemon and apple are fleeting and the florals are very subtle. Simone reminds me of Aqua di Goria but without saltiness, or Dolce and Gabbana’s L’lmeperatrice but without the sourness. When I smell this, I imagine a sweet modest girl dressed in a cottage core dress tending her garden. This is a feminine and versatile perfume that can take you from the office to your lunch date. And the heavy glass bottle is beautiful; I could see on Elizabeth Bennet’s vanity. Some layering combinations that I suggest trying : Quai St. Bartz, La Monde Gourmand Fraise Fouette and Being Frenshie Desert Rose. 8/10.

I ordered the mini sample set because I was in the mood to try perfumes with floral/fruity notes, and this one is my favorite of the set, I just love it. I don't easily love any perfume, mostly because of the dry down which often turns scents into something I dislike/hate, but this one stays really nice all the way along. In fact, I think it reminds me of Creed Spring Flower, which I also love and currently I'm wearing one on one arm and one on the other arm because I'm trying to fix the sprayer on the Creed bottle. There is definitely something similar about them. Anyway I will finish my little sample to make sure but I'm pretty sure right now that I would buy a full bottle of Simone (I thought it was Limone at first because the S looks like an L to me, and I think Limone is a better name for it so I'm calling it that, lol).

This is such a beautiful scent. It is primarily floral to my nose, and the watery fruity notes uplift the florals with a light, aquatic feel. I don't really get watermelon exactly, which maybe is a good thing since I was expecting a childish Jolly Rancher scent - but I do get a vague sweet fruity scent underlining the florals. I definitely get the ylang ylang and frangipani, which add a creamy tropical facet to the scent. This would be such a good beach vacation scent. I'll admit you could probably find body sprays which smell similar, but all of the fruity-floral body sprays I've smelled before have this synthetic scent undercurrent that is off-putting to me, at least. Simone is quite classy and elegant, and I don't get a plasticky synthetic scent from it at all. In my opinion, this is FB worthy.

This has become my signature scent. It is one of a kind and truly amazing. I tried it on a whim, having bought a four pack of mini roll-ons from Sephora. I didn't really care for any of the others, but Simone stuck with me, and has since become one of my all time favorite scents. I am mostly a fruity floral/gourmand type of girl, so the fact that I'm so obsessed with this scent came as a bit of a surprise. On me, there are definitely notes of apple and watermelon, and the sea salt just a pinch, which gives it some kind of beachy zest. It lasts a long time on me, and every time I smell it on myself, I can't get over how incredible it is. It definitely has a youthful vibe, which works well for me as I'm 25. I adore this scent and plan on keeping it in my collection forever!!
