Simone

This has quickly moved into my "top 10 for life" scents, Simone is a true fresh fruity scent but has been done so well, that it does not smell juvinile or cheap. Tocca scents arent widely available here in the UK so this was a blind buy, a very successful one at that too! Simone opens up in such a refreshing way; cooling watermelon and green apple are the first notes that jump out at me with a light dusting of fresh lemon zest, it never veers into body spray territory on me and it never smells like a cheap shower gel. Floral notes emerge and harmoniously blend with the fresh, aquatic notes in the opening, I mainly get freesia and a little frangipani and towards the end a little ylang ylang pops out. I should also point out that the freesia in Simone isn't screechy or sharp, its very well blended and smooth here. Simone dries down to a delightful fruity musk on my skin with some soft woodsy notes, but, it never smells stale, its maintains its freshness throughout wear and feels uplifting while doing so. Silage is soft and longevity is ok on me, it lasts about 5 hours, that being said its fresh softness makes Simone and excellent summer choice as it never gets cloying and also makes it perfect for office wear. In my mind, I can picture someone wearing a crisp, white button down shirt with beachy waves, a nice pair of jeans and ballet flats or converse walking through Bath during a warm spring/summer day, it literally is that relaxed but elegant vibe bottled and I LOVE it! Future repurchase and so far I cannot stop myself from reaching for it, big, fat, HUGE love!

Crisp apple, realistic lemon, and refreshing watermelon. Aquatic and transparent. Tart but not sour. Romantic and classy without trying too hard. Projection is intimate but it holds up in the heat and lasts around 4 hours. The watermelon and ozonic notes are the most prominent. The lemon and apple are fleeting and the florals are very subtle. Simone reminds me of Aqua di Goria but without saltiness, or Dolce and Gabbana’s L’lmeperatrice but without the sourness. When I smell this, I imagine a sweet modest girl dressed in a cottage core dress tending her garden. This is a feminine and versatile perfume that can take you from the office to your lunch date. And the heavy glass bottle is beautiful; I could see on Elizabeth Bennet’s vanity. Some layering combinations that I suggest trying : Quai St. Bartz, La Monde Gourmand Fraise Fouette and Being Frenshie Desert Rose. 8/10.

I ordered the mini sample set because I was in the mood to try perfumes with floral/fruity notes, and this one is my favorite of the set, I just love it. I don't easily love any perfume, mostly because of the dry down which often turns scents into something I dislike/hate, but this one stays really nice all the way along. In fact, I think it reminds me of Creed Spring Flower, which I also love and currently I'm wearing one on one arm and one on the other arm because I'm trying to fix the sprayer on the Creed bottle. There is definitely something similar about them. Anyway I will finish my little sample to make sure but I'm pretty sure right now that I would buy a full bottle of Simone (I thought it was Limone at first because the S looks like an L to me, and I think Limone is a better name for it so I'm calling it that, lol).

This is such a beautiful scent. It is primarily floral to my nose, and the watery fruity notes uplift the florals with a light, aquatic feel. I don't really get watermelon exactly, which maybe is a good thing since I was expecting a childish Jolly Rancher scent - but I do get a vague sweet fruity scent underlining the florals. I definitely get the ylang ylang and frangipani, which add a creamy tropical facet to the scent. This would be such a good beach vacation scent. I'll admit you could probably find body sprays which smell similar, but all of the fruity-floral body sprays I've smelled before have this synthetic scent undercurrent that is off-putting to me, at least. Simone is quite classy and elegant, and I don't get a plasticky synthetic scent from it at all. In my opinion, this is FB worthy.

This has become my signature scent. It is one of a kind and truly amazing. I tried it on a whim, having bought a four pack of mini roll-ons from Sephora. I didn't really care for any of the others, but Simone stuck with me, and has since become one of my all time favorite scents. I am mostly a fruity floral/gourmand type of girl, so the fact that I'm so obsessed with this scent came as a bit of a surprise. On me, there are definitely notes of apple and watermelon, and the sea salt just a pinch, which gives it some kind of beachy zest. It lasts a long time on me, and every time I smell it on myself, I can't get over how incredible it is. It definitely has a youthful vibe, which works well for me as I'm 25. I adore this scent and plan on keeping it in my collection forever!!

I bought a rollerball set from Sephora and fell in love with Simone. It has the fruitiness of DKNY Be Delicious, but without being so overpowering. So I purchased a spray set, again from Sephora. I was heartbroken to find that in this form, Simone was significantly more woodsy! (Not my favorite accord at all.) I think it must be the frangipani, in combination with the woods, that needs delicate handling. Can it be that some bottles hit the right balance while others don't? Or could it be that I just got a bad bottle? I want to believe that Simone is usually the beauty I first loved :) UPDATE: I rolled the dice and bought a travel spray. This batch is DIVINE. :D

Wow, I looooove this fragrance. I’ve tried a few scents from Tocca but this one is by far the best in my opinion. It’s fresh and slightly sweet, but in a light airy way. I definitely get the florals (especially freesia) and the green apple, with some watermelon in the background. But none of the notes are that synthetic type of fruity at all, they’re beautiful and very realistic. The lemon isn’t sharp or sour, it’s more of a fresh, crisp note in the background. Overall it’s a very clean, light and feminine scent. Makes me feel so girly and ethereal. The ultimate summery, “clean girl” type perfume. Can see myself wearing this for years to come.

I am very surprised that out of a bunch of Tocca perfumes I went to go sample, this one really stood out and ended up coming home with me. Based on the notes, I thought this would definitely be in the "meh" pile, but its actually gorgeous. It starts off very fresh and light and then dries down into a wonderful feminine and classy fragrance. This is a perfume perfect for spring, even more so than the Belle one from Tocca (which I thought would be more my style over this). This is my third Tocca fragrance and very unlike the other two I have, which are very wood heady, but I'm glad I gave this a chance, it's beautiful

I honestly love this! Simone reminds me of my Escada Sorbetto Rosso that I used so much in high school, except, the watermelon in this one is less sweet, and more complex with all the florals blended together. The drydown has a slightly synthetic feel, which Sorbetto Rosso doesn't have, but besides that, this is so lovely! If you want a lightly fruity, refreshing aquatic scent, uplifting and breezy for summer and spring, Simone is perfect for that! This is the most beautiful scent I have ever had. Its angels in a bottle. Its opening is soft/fruity with delicate florals and a base of musk and woods. It has a watermelony summer aquatic vibe, but not beachy. This is more of a Sunday brunch, high tea, bridal, or just well put together lady perfume. Its also so romantic & sweet that it should be considered for date night especially in late spring & all through summer. I did try to wear in winter and it didnt go to well. Its just becomes to sharp for cold weather. Its definately a warm weather fragrance.

I have a 50ml bottle and have been wearing this 3 x a week. Its a summery watermelon fresh apple scent with a somewhat aquatic nature. This is not immature or candy like. The sweetness is there but its subtle. Not a gourmand by any means. This is an amazing outdoor wedding, luncheon, bridal shower type of scent. Also just a great work or everyday scent as its not cloying, heavy or loud. Its definately feminine but also a classy well brought up lady type of vibe. This is a spring, summer, early autumn scent to me. Can be worn day or evening.

The watermelon and citrus in the opening is so fresh, summery, and beautiful. Then that hint of soapy freesia comes in, and it is divine. So lightly soapy, and lightly lemon. It pairs perfectly. Nothing about this fragrance screams cleaner. It is just soft, pretty, and fresh. Great projection. This is one of my favorite Tocca fragrances. A fragrance that makes me feel pretty, but not exactly youthful. I feel like a pretty mature woman...who smells fucking great.

I love this. In fact, the only Tocca I'm not 100% sold on is Maya bc of the patchouli. But I'll be the first to admit the sillage is bad (skin scent only) and longevity is nil. But if you love it, you love it. Something about how they blend the citrus just really agrees with me. It's pretty much linear on me and I like that, too. But at $76 a pop, if you don't love them they aren't worth it.

A fun fresh fruity summer scent! Its exactly what it says on the tin with this one. The top notes are fresh and fruity and the middle add florally creaminess. This is a total beach girl scent. This reminds me of summer sunsets over the sea. Its tropical and fresh yet soft and creamy. The combination of fresh and dreamy really work wonders for capturing a feeling of radiance.

I put down that I “have” this when I actually have a large sized sample but will be forcing myself to buy the full size ASAP! Was gifted it from a fellow fragrantican in one of our swaps and OMG this is the most beautiful! It’s so aquatic light greens, light whites, bits of citrus, it’s incredible and I would say well worth whatever price I have to pay for a full size hahah

Absolutely delicious, and a very safe pick for my first fragrance-- it felt completely opposite the heavily floral department-store smell of most perfumes. It doesn't last without heavy application, but I still got a second bottle because it's that easy to wear and good year-round for the hot climate I live in.

Wow. I almost never buy a bottle of perfume on the spot. I smelled this and it was The One. I'm so picky about fragrances, and this embodies almost everything I seek out in perfumes. It's not too sweet, but very feminine while remaining smooth and soft. Definitely looking forward to wearing this all the time.

I blind bought this, only because every Tocca scent I've smelled I have loved, and I'm happy I did. I don't pick up the fruit notes mostly the floral notes. Its such a nice everyday floral scent. Very light but the one downside is that it doesn't last long.

This was my favourite perfume 2 years ago. But tried to wear it last summer and i found it a bit overwhelming especially on the freesia/watermelon combo. I am hoping i can wear it again this spring summer because i have a full bottle and a travel spray.

Absolutely love the scent, hate the longevity. Would definitely need to be paired with a stronger watermelon fragrance to make it last longer and project more. Only keeping a travel size or sample to carry throughout the day to reapply.

Finally it's in the database! This is easily one of the friendliest and most popular scents by Tocca. It is a fresh floral with not too much fruit with great lasting power. It's similar to D&G #3 L'Imperatrice, only better!

One of my favorite Tocca fragrances! It devistates me that the longevity is so poor. I want to bathe in this delicious scent. It is so clean and refreshing. I feel like this one performs best in warmer weather.

I love it, this and Stella are my favorites out of the mini discovery set. It's very light and doesn't last long, but I think that's what makes it wearable for my preferences even though it's sweet and fruity

Beautiful light fruity fragrance. Sweet and girly, but not as simple/generic as other "pink girly" scents, has some uniqueness to it. Very good for office/day wear. One problem- doesn't last long...

Just bought this perfume and I love it. The bottle is heavy and beautiful and so are the mini sprays. It's such an elegant watermelon scent not like a teen perfume. It is so classy.

This was my favourite perfume for a very long time. Then suddenly I started noticing a screechy note? I am not sure which note it is but its really bothering me.

I love this scent. I feel so fresh and clean when I wear it.

I usually don't care for aquatic florals, but Simone is rather pleasing. She opens up w/ a nice watermelon scent, something I have rather smelled than eaten. A nice crisp apple mingles w/ the watermelon, and it complements it. At first, I thought this was going to stay an aquatic floral shampoo scent but as it turns out I get a lot of frangipani here which actually surprised me. I get freesia as well but the frangipani is the strongest floral at least for my nose here to bad she doesn't stay as long as I would like. The dry down is a musky/floral/greenness that has a shower gel character. All and all not a bad perfume. You will smell nice, clean and inoffensive. Perfect for the office etc.. in hot weather. Not something I would buy a full bottle of for myself, but I have a younger sister who loves perfumes like this and it would make a lovely gift. Tocca's bottles are very pretty and look nice on a dresser etc... This brand is a nice brand to give as gifts. If you know anyone who love aquatic florals and would like to give them a gift this is a good one at a good price compared to what many other brands charge w/ less attractive bottles.

Before anything, I really have to give credit to the packaging and bottle. Its really quite beautiful and majestic. It will sit pretty on any vanity and really makes you feel special owning it. For the perfume itself, it has a very sharp lemon opening to my nose. I smell no watermelon, and only a splash of apple. I find the citrus/fruity notes disappear within minutes and the fragrance underneath is IDENTICAL to Mac's Turquatic. I don't understand how that isn't the number 1 similar perfume.. but anyway! The fragrance is clean and refreshing and perfect for hot hot weather. I just can't justify this perfume because the perfume performance is really subpar and for the price it isn't worth it especially when you can get Mac's identical, and i mean identical, fragrance for quite literally half the price. We're talking same fragrance, same performance, half the price. The only thing this one has on the Mac one is a sharp lemon open (which I don't particularly love, gives moderate all purpose cleaner vibes) and a pretty bottle. Tocca= 20ml, $61 MAC= 20ml, $36

Simone is another unchallenging but pretty spring/summer feminine scent from Tocca. Given that it is an aquatic floral, it doesn't appeal to my taste, but is a decent - if generic - example of the genre that plenty will enjoy. Simone opens with ozonic watermelon - not my favourite note, but here it is a pretty decent rendering. It isn't harsh or overly synthetic - it is fresh and slightly sweet. Apple follows, complementing the watermelon, and sweet florals emerge after a little while. I get aquatic freesia initially, with soft tropical florals slowly developing in the background. Its light, airy sweetness is pleasant, but it becomes shampoo-like as it develops. Soft woody notes emerge as it dries down, and it becomes cleanly musky as it fades, with the fruitiness persisting throughout. Sillage and longevity are moderate. Very generic but nicely formed, Simone is an easy, everyday feminine scent for hot weather. Linear and simple, but nicely-balanced, this is equal parts sweet and fresh. 3/5.

Simone opens with a sharp, almost tart burst of green apple and lemon which I don't personally love, as I find it a bit piercing. But, as with many perfumes, it's worth it to be patient and wait for the top notes to fade. The green apple and lemon soon give way to a middle layer of sweet watermelon. The watermelon is slightly sweeter, lighter, and softer than the watermelon in D&G L'imperatrice. I wouldn't liken it to watermelon candy, but there's definitely a soft, feminine sweetness there that L'imperatrice doesn't have—and I attribute that mostly to the frangipani lurking quietly in the background. I bought this one because I wanted a nice watermelon perfume and I was not let down. Simone is feminine, light, pleasing, and puts me in a very summer state of mind. It's the perfect fruity-aquatic-floral for someone who's looking for something not too juicy, sticky, or sweet (as many summertime fruity perfumes can be). Another winner from Tocca!

The opening is really tart and juicy from the apple and lemon note, then the synthetic watermelon note comes through balanced with the frangipani and ylang ylang. Huge fan of yellow florals, just screams summer to me. I wanted the watermelon note to be juicier and less synthetic, like the Glow Recipe watermelon scent if anyone has ever tried their skincare line. It is rather sweet on the dry down and the plasticky, synthetic watermelon becomes more wearable. The scent profile actually reminds me a lot of Dolce Garden, and I think they'd layer well together, or even Gucci Flora Emerald Gardenia. If you want a summer staple with no coconut, this is it. Edit: Ended up returning it. I love the bottle and the scent, but if I didn't already have D&G Dolce Garden, I'd have probably kept it, I also prefer Dolce Garden to Simone.

Forty years old and just discovering the world of perfumes! What a great hobby!! Where has this been all my life?! I am eagerly trying to make up for lost time, as I get my hands on all the different samplers out for Christmas. Happened upon a Tocca sampler and am making my way through the scents. Being new, I do not have a good nose for picking out the notes in a fragrance. So I like to look at the main accords on here when I try one out. This is listed as ozonic, aquatic, fruity, green, with rose and freshness. Wow! That's a lot in one perfume!! Applied before church, and to me it fresh and fruity. Glowing and nonoffensive. Perfect for church, but not my favorite. Upon returning home, nothing was left... Longevity, maybe 2 hours. Think I better keep sniffing and find out what else is out there. Happy smelling! :)

I was kind of expecting another run-of-the-mill sweet & tangy fruity floral. This one approaches fruit notes in a completely different way. You know how amazing and unreal Watermelon-flavored candy tastes..? How, in comparison, it makes actual Watermelon seem pretty bland and tasteless? Simone is actual watermelon here. It's not trying to trick you into thinking its sweeter or tangier than it is. It's just... watermelon. Cool and refreshing - No dressing it up, take it or leave it. It's very understated, subtle, and naturally sweet. It's incredibly pleasant, especially for all the fruity florals that are unnaturally or synthetically sweet. If you dig fruit, but don't want to smell like jolly ranchers, definitely check this one out.

My favorite of a Tocca Samples box. Very fresh, aquatic floral. A bit masculine leaning in the composition at first. Lush. As it dries I like it more--it's attractive, sweetly feminine and definitely an enjoyable frangipani. Not too fruity, and is more aquatic fresh than floral on my skin. The watermelon is not sugary/bothersome/artificial smelling. Well blended and smells like being freshly showered. Although hard to find on myself, I get wafts of this all day. Very charming and a good, easy work fragrance. Would purchase a full bottle if it shows up for a decent price. Try if: you like smelling fresh and sweet and won't mind a slightly (very slightly!) masculine aquatic facet.

This is a really beautiful scent. I mostly smell the authentic watermelon accord and freesia. The only thing is, it dries down too woody when sprayed directly on my skin. I don't really enjoy that. But sprayed lightly on my hair and clothes, I find it very enjoyable. My husband also likes this. He says I smell delicious like a piece of candy. As with most Tocca fragrances I have tried, this one doesn't last terribly long. Maybe 4 hours. I went through a decant like lightening. That being said, I still like it enough to want to purchase a large bottle for next spring and summer.

What I immediately notice in this perfume are the florals, mixed (smelling slightly like gardenia, but not quite), plus the apple and lemon. It is really nice. Very refreshing, soft, easy to wear and soft on your nose. Lasts moderately long, has between mild and moderate sillage. About an hour in, the florals fade for me and I can smell more of the apple and watermelon... followed later by mostly wood notes. It's a nice fade, I think. I did need to respray once or twice throughout the day, but didn't mind. Very nice fragrance. I am really liking all of the Tocca options!

I like it. I like the watermelon, but the rose ruins it for me. It makes it too cheesy, too reminiscent of something from pre-teen days. Like it reminds me of looking at a foldout of a boy band and imagining how to kiss with braces. Emelia is my favorite Tocca scent, and I just can't find another in their house that can compare... I desperately wanted to have a friend for Emelia on my shelf, but she's going to have to make friends with the other fragrance houses, because none of her Tocca peeps can measure up!

This is a cross between DKNY Be Delicious and watermelon candies. Simone is a fresh, bright and fruity fragrance with a youthful vibe. The watermelon, apple and freesia stand out the most to me but there is a certain aquatic feel to it as it dries down. It reminds me of summertime as a kid. Sprinklers, popsicles, sunshine, fresh-cut grass and ocean waves! It's good but a little too fruity and sweet for my taste. This would be a great scent for young people just getting into perfume! 6.5/10

I’m not a fan of sweet and fruity scents, so I suspected I wouldn’t like this. But I was wrong. This incorporates the watery freshness of the watermelon and apple without the dreaded sweetness. Combined with the freesia and frangipani, it remains light and refreshing without ever becoming juvenile. The initial pleasant burst of lemon disappears so quickly, it’s almost not worth mentioning. And sadly, yes, like other Tocca fragrances, almost nothing is left after a few hours.

I really wanted to like this perfume, but I just don't. Fruity florals are usually an easy sell for me, and I was hopeful with the opening of Simone. The watery apple and melon was absolutely lovely. Within the hour, though, it settled into a very heavy, perfume-y fragrance akin to something my grandmother would have worn a little too heavy-handedly. The dry down must simply not work with my skin. A shame, as I've been looking for a more grown up twist on melon scents.

I love this. On first sniff, i get tons of fresh but not sweet melon. More like watermelon rind than the actual fruit, or the whiter/light pink part of the melon. It's very natural smelling and doesn't bring to mind the icky cucumber melon body splashes of the 90s. I also get some citrus (bergamot mostly), some salt (like ocean water), and a good dose of woods. Overall, a really great summer perfume but my gripe is that it lasts a grand total of 3-4 hours.

This is nice, very shampooey but soft and pretty. I keep a pack of Tocca samples in my office and although Simone isn't my favorite (mine is Colette, but I am running very low), it's perfect for a day like today when I wasn't in the mood for my usual stronger perfumes. If you're someone who is sensitive to fragrance and wants something lighter and inoffensive, Tocca is a great house to try.

This is so refreshing and lovely! Surprised how much I like this one. I usually dislike melon but it isn't too sweet or bubblegum in this. It's watery fruits and florals, very light and great for hot weather. Not too sweet but crisp -- like a sip of fruit juice while sitting around the pool on vacation. Daytime wear, casual use -- good vacation scent. Doesn't last too long though.

The softest watermelon wafting on a clean floral breeze. The dry-down turned into something sharp, which is the only parallel I can draw from this to l’imperatrice, as oft mentioned as that comparison is. I would love this if those soft watermelon breezes stayed out through the duration but this is not one I need in full size since it’s beauty is fleeting on me.

This is one of my favorite Toccas. Simone is a very pretty, light summer fragrance. Delicious watermelon blends nicely with delicate florals and a very light touch of apple. This is a soft fruity floral, perfect for someone who doesn't want to gag a room but wants to smell feminine and nice. The longevity is lacking, but that is often the case with light frags.
