I used to love Tocca perfumes in high school, because they were "twee" and elegant and made me feel like I was a princess. I forgot all about the scents, but I was at Anthropologie the other day browsing around, and saw that they had Stella as a tester. I immediately was hit with nostalgia and felt so happy. It took me back to 2004/2005. I couldn't place my finger on what this smelled like, but after a bit of thinking and trying to piece it together, I got it figured out. It smells like Britney Curious once the citrus notes wear off a bit, and it also smells very similar to the Sephora Disney Princess Jasmine Whole New World perfume that came out in 2012/2013 that I randomly purchased for my mom and she fell in love with. She has been trying to find the perfume for years, and I found it online 2 years ago, but the fragrance had soured and was a dud. This can be a replacement or similar enough version of that perfume. I think all the notes in this perfume work so beautifully together. I like that the citrus is not overwhelming in the sense that it smells like floor cleaner (cough cough libertine by the maker), its a fizzy citrus that is tangy but sweet and I think the watery note helps balance it. The florals in the middle come together beautifully. White florals, creamy orchid, and fruity freesia blend together beautifully for the intoxicating middle note. The base of sandalwood and musk you cannot go wrong with. This perfume is a 10/10 in my books. I purchased a bottle from Ulta online and wow I forgot how well made they are. The bottle is so heavy and feels luxurious with a heavy cap to match. This bottle will look beautiful on any vanity.

Wow, I was so pleasantly surprised by Stella. Snagged a Tocca sampler pack at TJ Maxx with Stella, Florence and Cleopatra. Cleopatra I'd worn in the past and liked OK, but had never repurchased. Florence is a lovely white floral, but I already have a few of those in my collection. So Stella was the standout here. Citrus notes can easily go awry, into household cleaner territory, but the orange here is so light and botanical that there's no hint of industrial citrus. There's another note that I really like, and I'm not sure if it's the freesia or the wild orchid, but it's heavenly. Reminds me of this random perfume my friend's mom wore in the early 90s. I never knew what it was - she'd gotten it from some Democratic Party fundraiser and it literally had a donkey on the label, LOL. But it had that same airy, soft profile as Stella. Almost like a scented Kleenex, a clean, sophisticated, spa smell. It's a very cheerful scent. I wouldn't call it a statement fragrance, so could see it as appropriate for a variety of settings. Funnily, even though it's on the lighter side, I can see it becoming stuffy in the heat. Feels like it would perform best in spring or fall weather, not too cold with a bit of humidity. The longevity is moderate. Applied about 6 hrs ago and can still smell it on my wrist, though it's on the faint side. I foresee Stella becoming part of my "I gotta go to the office" collection. It's not sexy, it's not dark or spicy or animalic or dangerous. But nor is it overly-girly, sweet or simplistic. It's a beautiful, citrusy cotton floral cloud on which I'll be floating for the next few hours.

I was smelling around in Anthropologie and came across Stella. I smelled it and it immediately reminded me of something that I couldn't quite put my finger on but I loved the scent. Having commitment issues, I opted for the mini bottle (no spray, just direct eau de parfum to the skin). A little goes a long way. It's citrusy at first but with the drydown it becomes a nice floral scent. For me, it's a perfect middle between the super-sweet youthful fragrances and the more grown-up fragrances. Not that this is true for all women, but Curious just feels a little too young for me but I don't feel so mature and stately that I can pull off something like Chanel No. 5 (so sue me, I still don't "get it" I guess!). And yes, after a few days of wearing it, it just hit me: Curious. It smells like the older and wiser sister of Curious by BS. When I wear this scent, I feel warm and feminine and just... well, me. I just identified with it right away in the store. So far, it's my perfect frag and once my mini bottle is gone, I'll just have to order the full size bottle. It lasts me a good 5 hours or so I'd say. I'm a little concerned with how long a spray might last since, with the mini bottle, I apply it directly to my skin in one fell swoop. I generally have better luck with direct applications and rollerballs compared to sprays.

I got this in a 3 pack of dabbers (Stella, Cleopatra, and Florence) at Marshall's for $13 yesterday! Might not get the full effect since they're non-spray bottles. I like it. I'm not blown away, but it's nice. When I first dabbed it on I smelled straight up Orange Soap. After a few minutes, the florals come through just enough to give it a soft, pretty, feminine vibe, but they don't overpower the citrus. I have two other orange-focused fragrances to compare it to: Atelier Colognes' Bohemian Orange Blossom and Clementine California. I like it a lot better than BOB - it's softer and more feminine. It's warmer and less "sparkling" than CC, which has been my summer signature for 2 years. I actually grew to like it more while I wrote this...I'd even consider a full bottle if I didn't already have Clementine California. Edit: circling back 10 hours later to say it smelled better and better as the day went on (I have very oily skin so everything lasts long on me). It also mixes well with JHAG Not A Perfume. I might end up wanting that full size bottle after all...

A beautiful and delicate floral blood orange. Almost smells like an orange soda in the opening, but then the pretty lily, and lightly soapy freesia come in, but the blood orange remains the strongest note. This is not a sharp citrus, or a super realistic orange like Altier's Orange Sanguine. This is a lightly sweet blood orange, with a hint of pretty florals. Has okay projection, and is good for lasting. Typically citrus doesn't last very long, so I was impressed with how long this orange fragrance lasted. I like to spray this lightly when I wear it, so I get a hint of classy orange around me, and not smell full on sweet orange soda. The Tocca bottles are gorgeous. Heavy glass bottles, with heavy metal caps, that have a bird and flower design on the top. When you open the pretty box, written on the inside of the flap, in gold handwriting, it says "Love Yourself." I love you too, Tocca.

When I was in preschool the lady who's house it was at had a large orange tree in the back corner of her yard that had paving in a circle around it. We used to race big wheels around it and this reminds me of those days under the cool shade of that enormous orange tree. While it lacks any of the bitterness of orange leaves or the indolent crushed blossoms on the ground, the sweet and juicy orange paired with the realistic orange blossom scent is enchanting. I've been in love with this scent from first smell and honestly its because of the versatility of it: in the spring I can focus on the flowers, in the summer its the juicy bite of orange, in the fall and winter it reminds me of the orange zest in say cranberry sauce or some other spicy fruity holiday treat (I thank the sandalwood for that). Though the longevity leaves something to be desired, I will always have this on my vanity.

How have I used up 4 samples of TOCCA Stella, but I have not written a single review for it? An unfortunate oversight on my part. Stella was a surprising love for me. My experience with TOCCA isn't very vast - really I've only tried Florence, Maya, and Stella. I was expecting Stella to be a generic and forgettable, but palatable fruity fragrance. While some would call it generic, I don't think it's forgettable at all. I found myself seeking out more samples in my large box of samples each time I used one up. I really enjoy this orange musky floral fragrance. It's kind of shampoo-adjacent, but the woodsy base really elevates it from your typical juvenile fruity floral. It's really nice! I would definitely consider buying a full size bottle, especially if I were able to find it for a discount.

Love this. I bought a sample size recently. I commonly prefer freeshia and tangerine type citrus, so no surprise. It is stronger than other scents I've tried, but lasts longer. Something was missing for me so I layered it with Sand + Fog perfume oil in coconut cream, and now I'm obsessed. The oil has the same musk and sandlewood base so it works well with just an added layer of coconut. I see myself investing in a bigger bottle in the future. [I'm a fan of collecting perfume, not a perfume connoisseur. I love sweet, citrusy, floral scents best. Some expensive scents give me headaches or rashes. My kids give me the most honest opinions on smells and I will share my honest opinion. In search of something with longer sillage comparable to favorites. Recommendations welcome.]

Absolutely one of my favourite fragrances out there. This is absolutely stunning. The blood orange note is realistic without stepping into 'zingy' cleaning product territory. It has a beautiful fruity freshness which is balanced by the floral and slightly woody undertones. The watery note is also lovely, adding a cleanness to the scent. Completely gorgeous. I could just rave about this forever. Smells like how I'd imagine a beautiful summer in Italy to smell like. My only gripe is I wish it was stronger and had better longevity. I need to apply a lot to have any sillage and need to reapply throughout the day. This is a safe office fragrance, and I also think a safe gift fragrance for anyone who enjoys floral/fruity perfumes. Highly, highly recommend!

my signature scent. this was the fragrance that started my journey a few years back, and the first one I ever fell head-over-heels in love with. the orange is fresh but not bitter, sweet but not candied. the florals take a backseat here, but I can still detect them just a little. the dry down is a little...old-smelling? like old books in a library, which I'm not sure meshes well with my skin chemistry. as with most citrus-centric frags (and Tocca offerings in general), it's very light and fleeting on me, so I really have to overspray to compensate for that. it gets me a fair number of compliments, but I wear it because *I* love it lol. I'll keep this in my collection always, forever and a day.

This is my go-to non-tropical hot weather scent. I bring it out in the spring and put it away in the fall. Femme and bright, simple but not cheap. This is the only citrus that plays well with my chemistry. I assume it is the florals backing it up, though it is a linear scent. I normally loathe sandalwood and musk, but luckily they are such foundational background players as to be entirely mute on my skin. . Stella is a wonderful afternoon companion and appropriate for casual or office wear. She is fleeting left on her own, but lasts longer when layered with the dry oil. If you want sillage, you must overspray. I'm keeping an eye out for the hair fragrance to go on sale.

This is a love. I was looking for a replacement for Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine (which is beautiful but I don't really enjoy how the orange scent waters down/fades). In Stella the orange is beautiful and literally bittersweet. And lasts from first spray through the life of the dry down. For some reason, on my skin, the floral/wood/musk combo comes across a little rosey. Which I have to say I adore. I can't wear true rose centered scents (although I want to) - my skin amplifies most of them to the point of headache/stomache. So it is nice to have something that has a rosey vibe. This has made it into my top three for life list.

I LOVE this perfume. Saw a couple reviews describing it as a grandma perfume which is funny bc to me thats anything dior. My grandma actually does really like this perfume. It smells like your hands after peeling oranges on the beach in summer and the sand is everywhere and your skin has a faint musky lily smell afterwards. its nottt long lasting unfortunately like most of my favorite perfumes 1-2 hours for me before its a faint white floral musk. I didnt even think I liked citrus scents but wow I was wrong. edit: sigh this did give me a headache after wearing it to work one day still love her tho ❤️

I don’t get anything powdery from this fragrance, and it’s not a sharp citrus. Like the inside of an orange but no peel or zest. It’s more like a sweet orange soda, maybe if orange soda were really fancy with some floral notes. It contains some notes I usually don’t like, mainly “watery notes” and lily, however I love this. It’s easy to wear and just smells pleasant and inoffensive. The longevity isn’t the best but it lasts pretty well on me most of the time. This layered with Swiss Arabian Casablanca is *chef’s kiss*

An undoubtedly timeless, elegant, and iconic fragrance. The citrus is so bright and vivid, with the floral marrying into it to truly create a one of a kind experience. The muskiness adds a touch of desired elegance, creating a versatility which allows this scent to be used for a youthful day out or a refined night in. The hint of water adds a certain freshness that ties everything together without diluting the other notes. Tocca is a wonderful company, and this is definitely one of their cornerstones.

This is one of the first full sized bottles I ever purchased. It started my love for orange/citrus scents with a woody dry down. For years it was my go to summer scent. I replaced it in my regular rotation with Tangerine Boy because it started to remind me too much of my younger self. It's maybe a little less complex than other citrus perfumes that have come out in recent years. It really does not last on my skin but still holds a place in my heart.

This is sweet, sweet, in your face juicy orange. That’s why it’s in my top five. I don’t think everyone would go for it, because it’s fairly linear and if you’re not into sweet citrus it’s not for you. But for those of us who live for a good orange scent- she is everything. Stella makes my days brighter and keeps me going. Something this sweet is rarely refreshing, but the grapefruit and freesia zings it up wonderfully. She and I are pals forever.

I love Tocca's perfumes. They're all pretty, wearable, light and well-composed. Stella is the star IMO of the whole line. It's sparkly, bright, clean, fresh, and just enough juiciness to be flirty. It's delicious and one of the few perfumes that I just can't get enough of; it's hard to overspray for this one. The citrus note somehow stays throughout the composition which is hard to do and rare. An absolute stunner in the spring and summer.

Easily my favorite Tocca! Performance is much better than any of the others in the sample set which was surprising because it’s citrusy and citruses are usually not long lasting. I got 8+ hours of wear. The scent itself is also lovely yet simple, blood orange and lily. Straight citrus can be boring to me but there is just enough floral character here to be interesting. Would work well for every day and could totally be a signature scent.

Serena Van Der Woodsen in a bottle. This is fresh and bubbly like a mimosa in the morning. A total blood Orange blast but the watery elements really give it that extra something. Stella is stunning. She is the IT girl. She is the centre of the party and radiates a golden glow. She is the bubbly golden blonde. This is a fresh, sweet and citrusy scent. Its in the same category as Anna Sui Lucky Wish. Its a perfume that sparkles.

I adore this. I've been wearing it for so long — in my 20s and now in my mid-30s. It's a joyful, round, optimistic take on citrus. I find it soft and energy-giving. I wear it often when I hang out with children because it feels like it would be pleasant to them, but it also doesn't feel like a juvenile smell itself (like Cloud does to me, for example). Definitely more of a daytime / spring / summer scent.

This is my favorite fragrance, and if you're like me and love the sweetness that shines through past the orange as this scent matures throughout the day, then you should absolutely get the body oil. The Stella body oil has that sweet floral note amped up a bit which is my favorite element of this fragrance, personally! I wear this scent for day and night through the seasons and always get compliments.

Just finished my 1.7oz bottle and 20 mL travel size of this, and restocked with a 3.4oz bottle. I am genuinely addicted to this perfume. I have it in the hair perfume, body oil, candle, reed diffuser (does not smell like the perfume at all- do not recommend), hand cream, and I still have the detergent which I very sparingly use because it’s discontinued. This is probably my favorite perfume ever.

This is really lovely. I’ve worn it off and on for a few years, it’s a good “pick me up” scent. I get mostly the blood orange, watery notes and lily. Bitter orange is mentioned in the note but to me the orange in this is sweet. Very girly and easy to wear. I can’t imagine it being offensive to anyone. Ideal for summer, but good for anytime you want a cheerful scent.

Blood orange and freesia are the stars in Stella, and I'm a big fan. I have several of Tocca's fragrances but Stella is my #1 girl. This fragrance is beautiful, elegant, timeless. Longevity and sillage are moderate. Could wear in any season or for any occasion but I'd say she shines brightest in Spring-Fall. Easily transitions day to evening. Just lovely all around

Intense, realistic orange at first; it has blood orange and bitter orange. Then it settles down, the orange disappears, and it becomes an ethereal mix of freesia and lily. The freesia is dominant. It’s really lovely. Can no longer smell on wrists after 3 hours, but the scent on my t-shirt is going strong. I don’t get any resemblance to BS Curious.

Signature scent. I am obsessed with this. It is simultaneously sweet and clean, and has a little bit of spice that doesn't hit your nose as spice. It's absolutely divine. I do not recommend buying the body wash and lotion that they sell, as I get different, more synthetic notes, but the perfume itself will always be a staple in my collection.

Gorgeous. Slightly chalky, "vitamin" orange with opulent white florals. Blossoms beautifully in the hot weather we have in Alabama; it's the perfect scent for a southern belle. Ladylike, sophisticated, and classy. Conservative in style but certainly not boring. Excellent sillage and longevity. This is one of my new favorites!

One of the most soft, sensual, warm fuzzy and elegant citrus scents I have ever smelled! Love her! And the bottle is so vintage and beautiful... The scent is not loud or vain, rather it is quiet and demure...but definitely will draw you in...wearing this to the office tomorrow for sure!

to me, it smells more citrusy/orangey but to the people around me it smells more floral or jasmine. you definetly have to spray this 8+ times to smell it and after around 3-4 hours i don't think anyone can smell it except me. it's such a nice scent though and it just smells so good

The orange notes really come through, but they’re neither too sweet nor too sour. One of the best orange citrus scents on the market. Pair Stella with Montblanc Signature for the ultimate creamsicle scent: Cool, creamy, and the perfect amount of citrus sweetness. 😋

Very citrusy and summery scent. I love to wear it after the shower in combination with citrusy leaning lotion. Instant mood booster. I don’t smell white florals though and I’m happy about it. You will like this perfume if you like light citrusy fragrances.

This is my absolute favourite perfume! Its so delicious and when I have it on I can't stop smelling myself! It's too bad that it doesn't last that long but thats a bit expected for like a citrus perfume. This is like sunshine in a bottle and I love it

This is one of if not the first perfume I ever owned, and I still adore it. This is one of my favorite perfumes I have. It’s a beautiful smell but isn’t overwhelming, and fits almost any occasion since it’s both youthful and sweet yet mature.

Smells like a beautiful summer day on the Amalfi coast. Fresh bright orange opening that dries down into a sophisticated mix of woody and aquatic notes. It's sexy in a classy, refreshing way. This is a perfect summer date night scent.

Stella introduced me to the brand. Orange and musk are the key notes. The orange shifts from candied to powdery. The sandalwood and vanilla are quiet supporting notes. Great descriptions y'all!

Food for my soul, all while sitting in a green, sweaty tropical garden. You have to enjoy gardenia and fortunately for moi, I do. This scent makes me wild!

It’s like sipping a sparking orange seltzer amongst the lilies. It’s light, clean and slightly floral. Perfect for really hot days. Love it

smells like a tray of mimosas at an overpriced brunch restaurant. pairs really well with hairspray and powdery makeup for this reason!!

This is an absolutely stunning fragrance. Warm, rich, and incredibly comforting. It is not your every day fragrance.

I have a Tocca discovery set, but it wasn't a brand I knew much about beforehand. I quite like the round bottle design and the fact that each scent is personalised with a feminine name. Stella is my first to try, and like many of the comments below, my first thought was that it is quite similar to Britney Spears Curious but without the pear note. Curious was my very first perfume, and is close to my heart, but I have no reason to buy this more expensive version. An aquatic floral-fruity with a musky drydown, it is very typical of its era. Stella opens with a realistic orange note, like freshly-squeezed orange juice. I get the slightly more intense blood orange note too. Tart and bright, it is refreshing and uplifting in the manner of good-quality citrus. As it develops, aquatic florals emerge, sweet and watery. I get noughties-style freesia in particular. The orange remains, keeping things fresh and enhancing the aquatic quality, while making this a true floral-fruity. There is a hint of soft spice in there too.It becomes musky quite quickly, which, alongside the aquatic white florals, is what makes Stella very Curious-like. Soft woody notes ground it as it dries down. Sillage and longevity are moderate. Light and airy, it is an easy everyday feminine scent, if a little dated (i.e. stuck in the noughties, but there's a charm to that too). Sweet yet fresh, it is pleasant from top to bottom, and is best worn in warm weather. Pointless considering that Curious exists, but worth a sniff regardless. 3/5.

Stella was the first fragrance I fell in love with, and my first ‘signature scent’. Sephora had been doing a big sample push on it, and I didn’t really understand perfume yet, but it seemed nice enough and I had a handful of sample vials, so I’d just throw it on before dates. I spent a solid month obsessing over how good this girl I’d been dating smelled before sitting in bed one night and realizing it was me! It was Stella! I ordered a bottle immediately (despite it being out of my budget) and I wore it for most of my early twenties. In my thirties, it feels a little young for me. I think it’s more classy and mature than most fruity/sweet fragrances, but it still feels very youthful to me- perhaps in part because it’s so anchored to a specific period in my life. It is definitely better with a lighter hand. I remember spraying it at work before a date and a coworker telling me it smelled like old lady, but as it wears on the skin the florals take a bit of a back seat. If you overspray it’s like getting kicked in the face with white florals- which are some of my least favorite notes. I just got Burberry Goddess, and weirdly it reminds me SO much of Stella on my skin. The notes aren’t very similar at all, but it has that citrus (a lot less of it) and is a little bit floral. They’re both wear into something warm, sweet, and soft that isn’t tacky or too gourmand. I like Goddess because of how much I loved Stella, but I think Stella is one of the prettiest [relatively] affordable perfumes you can buy.

Another truly original creation from Tocca, STELLA opens with an almost chypre-like oak mossy quality which after a couple of minutes clears out to make way for blood orange and bitter orange--especially the rinds--mixed with ample concentrations of orchids and lilies. Wow. What a surprisingly nice combination. It sounds like an unseemly melange, but somehow it smells gorgeous at every stage, each of which is entirely distinct from the rest. In the drydown, the clean resiny musk anchors the orchid and lily very well--I don't catch much freesia or sandalwood at all: they appear to be overpowered by the two assertive floral notes--but the citrus notes, too, persist, albeit in a smoother, gentler form, probably thanks to the musk with which they mingle. This really is a big floral perfume, though, as the citrus, while ever-present, really serves to complement the orchid and the lily. STELLA has great longevity and big sillage, and I'd love to add this one to my collection. Come to think of it, I really do need a blood orange + orchid + lily perfume, don't I???

So, so good. Stella is a gorgeous warm weather scent, a perfectly balanced, vibrant fruity-floral that doesn't overwhelm with its sweetness. While I can't pick out an individual watery note, I do get the sense that it's responsible for providing this balance. Stella seems to float above the skin in a citrusy cloud, and lasts a surprisingly long time for such an effervescent fragrance. My favorite part of it is easily the lily note, which can be a tricky note to handle. Lily on its own is syrupy, cloying, waxy; awful in the wrong hands. In Stella, blood orange and sandalwood temper these overpowering qualities, while the invisible, supportive watery note adds a freshness that keeps things light. I agree with others who found this scent peachy; I ended up picking Stella over Florence because it reminded my wife of the peach pound cake I make, and it put a cute smile on her face. I'm a sucker, so Stella it was. Maybe it's just this association, but it makes me think of Stella as a fruit gourmand, if that's a thing.
