Crushed

I bought this because I have previously really enjoyed Margot Elene's Lollia line, and I wanted to try something new. First I got the shea butter hand cream as a sample, which was delightful - having this scent on your hands is GREAT, and the moisturizer itself is great quality. So I followed suit and bought the fragrance, which is the same scent, only stronger. I would say you only really need one spritz maximum to get the full scent, and it will last a long time. I find it slightly overpowering. It's definitely a good scent, full of mystery and with a strong body. I find that it holds true throughout, although after a few hours it will fade into the background - it still remains relatively the same scent with my body chemistry. I'd say it smells like a field of bluebells on an early fall day, very earthy. Moss is definitely involved, as well as water. I would agree with others that this is hugely jasmine and hugely green. It's a showier fragrance than I'm used to - I only really wear it on days off, or nights out. I wouldn't wear it to work or as an everyday fragrance, I really have to be in the mood.

I snagged this beauty at a local antique store that's got a dealer who carries a varied amount of fragrances from time to time... This is LOVELY! The jasmine and soil tincture combo marry together to give off a licorice-y type of note...The green notes are well balanced enough to not overpower the floral...I'm waiting to see if and when the oak moss shows up...As it drys down, the melding of the contemporary, non-indolic jasmine with the green notes bring on an uplifting, ray of light vibe... I am reminded of a gothic-y, dark, yin/yang scenario; it could be the positive and negative of what funeral flowers, dank earth, and emotions of sweet love and perhaps lingering regrets bring when we are faced with paying our last respects to a loved one... By the same token, the feelings of comforting transcendence from the priceless memories we treasure in times of grief also present themselves in this polarizing fragrance... ♥

I really miss this perfume and am still sad they discontinued it. This perfume is the one that got me into fragrances when I was in high school: earthy, green, and jasmine. It smells a lot like a fresh tea. The dry down is so addictive, it mixes so well with my body chemistry that I can’t stop smelling it. It’s actually one of the sweeter fragrances I own, and I don’t think I like anything sweeter than what Crushed provides. Crushed is very refreshing and has remained a favorite for 8 years. edit: it might be kinda crazy, but i bought a perfume oil dupe of tom ford's fucking fabulous and upon first sniff it was shockingly....similar? it gives a similar vibe on opening, but of course the dry down is quite different. Maybe an older cousin/sibling of crushed. No idea if this rings true for the actual perfume of fucking fabulous, but thought it wouldn't hurt to share here.

I first purchased this about 5 yrs ago in a little antique shop while on vacation. I had actually tested it the year prior at the same shop and waffled on buying it. I was determined to go back to see if it was still there and since it was, a bottle went home with me. I'm not a huge fan of the packaging but whatever, the juice is lovely. Very green, as others have stated, bitter edges, jasmine by the handful. I wear it more in sping and summer as the heat seems to open it up and it just blooms. It's a clear, intense fragrance, if that makes sense, not murky or dark to me. I decided I needed a back up bottle but prices I saw online were ridiculous compared to what I initially paid, discontinued I suppose. Tried one last time a couple months ago and lucked out. The manufacturers website had it on clearance for less than I paid. Lol. Back up acquired.

Bright, sparkling citrus over delicate green buds with a hint of milky sap. I find this fragrance to be more green than floral despite the jasmine - I don't care for jasmine in general, but I love this fragrance. Here the jasmine grows wild, surrounded by grass and moss with a sprinkling of herbs. I love green fragrances, especially the slightly bitter kind, and while Crushed does not fall into that category it is definitely green. Longevity and sillage are quite good, and I plan on buying a FB immediately. EDIT: I love this so much I purchased two full bottles along with the matching lotion, and will probably buy more in case it's discontinued! Also ordered a bottle of Sencha Bleu,which I'm looking forward to trying -

I recently purchased Crushed. This was my first fragrance from Tokyomilk collection. How I discovered Tokyomilk was during a shopping trip to Sephora. I was intrigued by the packaging. I call it a goth's fragrance wet dream. After smelling every single one, which I do.. I end up smelling like a brothel when I leave, but I cannot help myself. I tried Crushed and was instantly drawn to it. I asked for a sample to take home. I tried it over the next couple of days and totally fell inlove with it. I find this fragrance is like no other, and it last's for a long time. Warning, this fragrance isn't the weak of heart, mind or stomach.

If anyone has a bottle, lotion or ANYTHING please 🙏 I beg of you. This is my favorite fragrance, and its discontinued. I allocate myself 1 night a year with sprays of this grassy wet soil warm summer jasmine, and reminisce on beautiful evenings of times past. Fearing our time together will be but a memory, that I'll always be seeking or sniffing for. Loving till death do us part ☠️

Smells like moss, herbs, and faintest hint of jasmine. The butterfly is the perfect visual. They have beautiful wings but their body is slightly repulsive. The fragrance beautiful but not in the traditional floral scent. However, the picture and name combined make a terrible marketing strategy. Wear it around. It works with very few skin types.

This is really lovely, fresh and green! I can almost feel the green grass sap on my hands. It is like I am lying on fresh, green grass beneath a jasmine bush an early summer morning. Too bad it is not sold in my country and it is so expensive to buy from abroad due to import taxes...

absolute heaven for greeny fans, crushed frsh cut grass with hints of earthy soil and jasmine, absolutely love it, reminds me of a dirtier, rougher elephant from zoologist which I also love , great discovery :)

When all the other reviews say it's overwhelmingly green, they really aren't kidding. The main notes to my neophyte nose are green and jasmine. It doesn't last long at all on skin, but I've had it last four days on clothes. Despite the fact that it really doesn't have extensive sillage or longevity, if I spray too much [eg, more than four sprays total] it can get a bit eye-watering - I think the key is to just reapply often rather than go for a big dose once. Crushed is very... alive, for lack of a better term. These aren't plants in a vase. These are plants that are actually out there in the sun and shade. I've found that after a while there's a hint of plant-y spice, which got me a few compliments when my friend borrowed my scarf. My verdict? I really do like it. It reminds me of a fleeting Minnesotan spring, when all the flowers and trees simultaneously bloom before the summer heat kills half of them. Even though the temperature hasn't been above freezing in months, Crushed is a cheerful little dose of springtime that brightens my day. I'm sure it'll be in its element once we hit spring and summer.

Tokyo Milk Dark CRUSHED is the greenest jasmine perfume I've ever encountered. I actually like it very much. I've sniffed many jasmine soliflores, which usually differ primarily in how indolic they are. Some have a bit more of this or that base, and some are combined with sweet components. Here, in contrast, the jasmine is interspersed with a hefty pile of grass clippings. This perfume is very natural smelling and not at all indolic to my nose. Clean and fresh, CRUSHED would appeal to those who want something a bit more exciting than a soliflore but not necessarily something sweet. Jasmine lovers should check this out as it offers a new take on a flower that's been done about a million times in just about every possible way. Also a good choice for people who like floral green perfumes in general. Very big jasmine, but also very green.

TOKYOMILK DARK fragrances represent a "back to the new basics" approach to perfumery. Unlike the perfumes of yesteryear - massively complicated orchestras consisting of hundreds of notes -and the fragrances of yesterday - floral -vanilla-fruit bombs with a woodsy backing chorus - these fragrances are stripped down to a five piece set. Intentionally limited, TOKYOMILK uses a small number of notes to articulate clear, modern-smelling accords. Uncomplicated, coherent thoughts conveyed though smell. CRUSHED comes in two parts: Part one is a bright sweet green fruit. Part two is a rich white floral, jasmine, and musk drydown. There is nothing "clean," chemical or aspirational about this fragrance. The jasmine in crushed is unapologetic. If you're looking for a dirty white floral, I found it!

Nice grassy & green perfume without being sharp in any way. It seems very suitable for casual daily wear, and it would wear particularly well for a walk in the park or other sunshiny outdoor activities. I like the fact that it's a tad sweet, not too tangy or zesty. I do get some light florals, but I really don't detect anything like soil or moss. I can understand why it's called "Crushed"--it smells like crushed green leaves and flowers.

I got this as an extra sample from Hampton Court. It struck me as a more simple, innocent, Chanel Cristalle. It would be appropriate for a young woman or an older one who just wants to smell clean. A shimmering Jasmin with grass and a smidge of hay and wonderful soapiness. If they made a bubble bath, it would be a must buy. I would never have tried it knowing the hideous bottle though. Silence of the Lambs anyone? Ich!

Very green, dirty and bitter. Not in a stanky 90's men off-brand department store way though. It's nice, not excellent. I give them props for making a grassy scent I like, but I would not buy again. It's not a fresh green to me. The earth and moss are at the forefront. Something in here smells like fennel on me. Must be the general "herbs" note.

I just picked this fragrance up and like it. Nice mix of green and floral(jasimine). For me it's quite light and transparent; I'd like a little more lasting power to it, but it's so economically priced, I've no complaints. My tastes tend to gravitate to more unique blends, so this satisfied me and is a nice surprise for the price.

I have two of the Tokyo Milk Dark collection and I like them both very much. I've been lucky, because I'm buying them from Ebay unsniffed. I have this one, Crushed, and Destiny. I agree wholeheartedly with sherapop that this is a very green jasmin. Since I love green florals, it appeals very much to me.

I bought the hand lotion instead of a straight spray. This is a very unusual yet attracting fragrance. I smell dirt and fresh cut grass and something unsettling. The name crushed coupled with the grass smell makes me think of all the things we kill while clipping the lawn.

Green, almost citrus slightly sour, watery jasmine. I love the green jasmine but it is only peripheral to the chemical watery green.

This was a little too soapy for me, in the same vein as this i prefer Somerset Meadow by Crabtree and Evelyn.

Why did they discontinue all of the really interesting ones! Bring it back!

Has this been discontinued? I can't find it in our local Sephora.

I received a free sample of the Crushed shea butter hand creme with a Lollia order. I love the smell of green things, including Tokyo Milk's Wisdom, which lists similar notes, so I tried it right away. Unfortunately this reminds me of a hot summer day in all the wrong ways. Bitter greens (think dandelion sap, torn bittersweet vines, cut weeds) mixed with a very strong smell that I finally identified as natural insect repellent. I spritzed a sample of the perfume when I encountered it in a store, hoping it smelled better: nope. This is basically what my arms smell like after weeding my garden during mosquito season, only concentrated. (I'm amazed that others found it subtle or light) It's certainly novel, but not what I'm after. To each their own, I guess!

I'm a big fan of Margot Elena's Tokyo Milk perfumes, particularly her Dark offerings. I bought Crushed after buying and wearing Arsenic, Excess, and Bulletproof. Crushed is not like those. It is a simple and unconventional scent as are all the Dark offerings but it is very green. Oh, so very green. I mean, wow, its green. It kind of feels like someone has shoved a bunch of grass and herbs up your nose. That sounds harsh but I honestly didn't hate it. I just didn't love it. I tried wearing it a few times but then never really felt pulled towards wearing it again. Eventually I gave it away to a fellow perfume aficionado and I hope it is working for her.

Smells like grass and dirt with subtle hints of jasmine. There was no grace or allure to this scent. It came in, whooped your nose and then stuck around to mock you while you reeked of a floral dirt pile. You're breaking my heart, Tokyo Milk.

I was hoping the wild grass note would be prominent, but it disappeared and let the jasmine and moss take over. Headache-inducing and nauseating. An unfortunate blind buy.

Crunchy, verdant, grassy notes start this one out but then taper off within minutes. It’s a disappointingly synthetic smell overall, and it’s clearly reflective of its budget price-point. Underneath the greenery is a minor jasmine—indole free and light enough to compliment the more dominant grassy notes. The scent doesn’t come off as jasmine-centric to me, though; more like a semi-anonymous floral that’s functionally complimentary to the green notes upfront. The grass / floral aspects are short lived, and the scent nose-dives into an anonymous green and musky base fairly fast. At this point, it’s hard to figure out what the scent is supposed to be, but I think that the name gives us a clue: a brittle, imprecise jasmine that’s crushed and stomped into an anonymous musky mossy mush all too quickly. While I’ve always had a soft spot for this line, Crushed isn’t one of the better offerings.

I would have to say this is one of my favorite out of the Tokyo Milk Dark collection so far. Its a beautiful grassy/mossy scent that reminds me of walking in the woods during spring time. Its a nice earthy scent that is definitely not over bearing at all. Very unusual I need to add as well. There is some jasmine in it, but on my skin, it doesnt evolve right away. I do smell it as it evolves though. It grows as time goes by.

Started almost fruity, like melon or cucumber, but quickly transitioned to a cut grass green note. I'm also getting a root-earth-rock scent (not sure where that is coming from). It's an unusual fragrance, watery but not a typical aquatic. I really do smell like I've been rolling in early morning dewy grass; interesting but not really 'perfume-y'. Like art I can admire but wouldn't actually want in my house.

First on, the dirt note is powerful, but not eclipsing the cut grass. Then the grass went sour, like that smell you get when a pile of clippings is rotting in the sun, and then it developed a scent exactly like old fashioned,made-from-scratch lye soap scented with lavender. It ended very soapy, and with the mineral harshness and soapy feel of lye soap. Huh.

Notes: Earth + Moss, Crushed Herbs, Wild Grass, Jasmine Disgustingly green and woodsy. Super overwhelming for me personally. Gave me a headache. Unless you LOVE mossy/green/woodsy strong, I wouldn't recommend it. It's not that it's a bad smell I guess, but this is intense. Do NOT blind buy, try it first if you even might consider Crushed.

As the name says, it smells crushed. It smells green and crushed. Maybe like jasmine or black currant leave you crush between your fingers. Very interesting and unusual. Later that greenness settles into jasmine flower, but it starts to smell a bit chemical and I cannot stand it any longer Not for me.

This really is not that green, right? On me, or to my nose whatever, it's really feminine. I am disappointed because I wanted green crushed leaves or stems. Not so much. The lady at the store said "soap" although I do not quite get that either. It actually smells rather sweet white floral.

full disclosure: i am a gourmand, not usually a greenie unless it involves fig :) i just tested it in the store & i got such a blast of hay/grass/green floral arrangement. for me, a no-go, but for someone who likes that sort of scent, it is an unusual fragrance.

This is one of those smells that makes you reminisce. It feels like when you rub your bare feet on freshly cut, wet grass, or when you put your hands into some moss. Adorable scent.

When I smell this I think of Root beer. Those root beer candy caps. My husband said the same thing. It's a nice scent and I like that it's different from what's out there.

I tried a sample of this and was really disappointed. SMELLED LIKE CITRUS CLEANER. Nothing fun or distinctive about this scent at all- peww.
