Drive Me Mad

Margot Elena, she never misses. I ordered this immediately once I saw there were new additions to the TokyoMilk Dark line, and out of the four offerings within the Wuthering Heights collection, this one felt closest to what normally piques my interest. From the bottle, Drive Me Mad feels very apropos. It is breathtaking, addictive, downright sensual; I smell it and then immediately need to smell it again. It is very fresh, green, aldehydic—perfectly rich and clean. As with many TM perfumes, the notes blend together beautifully. It dries down to predominantly the ambrette note, but it fails to anchor; the scent becomes whisper-quiet only an hour later, and fades completely after three or four. The longevity is so disappointing, and for the price I struggle with recommending it, but it is a gorgeous, gorgeous perfume. If it were to be reformulated to last a bit longer, this would replace my signature. Alas. I’m bummed that this is limited edition, but I’ll savor it while I have it.

I am genuinely not sure what is happening here. This fragrance is 100% masculine to my nose. Is anyone else getting Drakkar Noir from this? I don't hate it, but as a woman, this most definitely is not something I will ever wear. I do not get the violet at all. This must be Heathcliffs cologne!! I suppose I can spray this on my anatomy skeleton Catherine so she can feel close to her lover. If it helps her to feel connected to him, I will keep the bottle for her.

My bestie got a bottle the second it was announced. Unfortunately it does NOT smell good on her. At all. We agree that the fragrance has a funk to it like curry/ B.O. like the other reviewer mentioned. On my skin however, the voilet comes out at full swing. I typically love anything voilet but the fern, ambrette, and hawthorn adds a very masculine feel and smells more like a traditional men's cologne which isn't really my vibe. I'm not going to say I hate it. It's definitely very gothic. I find it captivating and interesting. I would describe it as a dark gritty floral. Slightly metallic. I'm still giving this a full chance, not sure about longevity yet but I'll update on that later. 🖤 Update: Longevity isn't the greatest. You'll need to reapply if you want the scent to stick. I'd recommend spraying on clothing to add staying power.

Darkly earthy, floral, and sickly. Fresh, but dirty. It captures Hawthorn very well with an animalic sweetness. Eventually it makes way for the Ambrette mixed with the Bracken and Violet. Purple florals always amplify on me, but I wish there was more violet for a more dreamy quality, but I'm still really loving the musky green scent it settles into. It has a masculine edge, but balances out into unisex. Sillage is more intimate after a few hours. If you don't like Hawthorn or slight animalic nuances, you probably won't like this.

hmm. I really wanted to love this one. I blind bought it bc out of the collection this one spoke to me the most, and I liked the illustration on the bottle the most. I typically love anything violet. buuuut, I just don't really like it. I get no violet at all :( its giving flowery cleaning product mixed with an almost curry-like BO smell?? idk I'll give it a few more tries to see if it grows on me but so far I am bummed

The violet comes through very clearly. The fern is there if you smell past the violet. I don't know what hawthorn essence smells like, so I can't comment on that one. Ambrette, I found out, has a musk smell, which I do get in the background. Overall I agree with LaurieNaurie in that it comes off overly floral and generic. Not a safe blind buy.
