Make Me Blush

This beauty is much more likely to make everyone around her blush. Opens slow and sexy–understated creamy white florals take an hour to fully bloom in personal space, leaving long honey trails behind as they grow. Underneath, a few inches above the skin, a touch of charred whiskey barrel grounds the lushness of the flowers, keeping them earthy and seductive. (The bourbon notes are well done–smoky oak caramel with a hit of vanilla spice–that stay dry and thankfully don’t turn into teenage praline on the bottom.) (Our queen finds getting carded tedious–no one would mistake her for an underage girl.) Lasts only half the day–through afternoon on cuffs, and into the evening in the hair–but the opening comes in so easy, a later spray seems like a continuation rather than a refresh. My favorite TokyoMilk out of the newest batch, and might be the best since Honey & the Moon. There’s an enticing maturity to it that I really appreciate, as if the cottage-core princess grew up and got provocative.

I tested this on myself today and had to leave a review after finding a lot of similarities with Nest Golden Nectar, a scent I really enjoy! After spraying it on myself and waiting for the dry-down, I almost thought it was a perfect clone (although Nest would technically be the clone). Now that I've had a chance to test them side-by-side, I see the differences. The note that I was getting here that reminded me so much of Golden Nectar is that slightly waxy, makeup note on top of the florals. But it's much gentler here, and it's balanced out by the smoky bourbon. Golden Nectar has none of that earthy smokiness, and it has a brighter "candy" note that some people dislike. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this scent. The creamy florals have taken on a quieter, seductive earthy note as the day has gone on. I'm still getting that little bit of wax though (just the tiniest bit), and gosh I love it.

Recently got back into TokyoMilk because it’d been a staple niche fragrance line in one of my favorite art gallery/boutique stores I’d hung around in my hometown. Make Me Blush wasn’t a part of the line then, but there’s a nostalgic quality to it that feels very ‘late 2000’s’. Even with that said, it could also be described as ‘a southern belle in a bottle’. It’s a honey-like floral that dances around being a boozy gourmand, with a slight powdery touch. The honeysuckle and magnolia definitely come through if you’re a fan of nectar producing flowers! I personally reserve Make Me Blush as a ‘date day’ fragrance, simply because it’s like catnip to my husband. If you are a fan of warm florals with an extra touch of sugar, it’s definitely worth trying.

I really enjoy this. As someone else said, it smells familiar to something that I’ve smelled before... possibly even something that I have, but I cannot place it. My favorite note in Make Me Blush is the Bourbon, then the magnolia. I can see myself wearing this all year round. It’s a scent that makes me feel happy, and lovely, and sexy at the same time. Definitely a surprise !

This perfume is D'GORGEOUS. I tried it on in some random home decor store and OMG. It's honey sweet and floral without being awful and artificial. Literally reminds me of springtime and happiness and sunshine and all that. I WISH I OWNED IT!!! I'm sooo broke.

Reading through the previous reviews, I agree that this is a very familiar smell. I could see it as a Flowerbomb flanker, or flanker to any of those fruity/floral-y patchouli scents that were everywhere and everything when Flowerbomb first appeared. It is a nice scent. And I do like it, but based on the notes, I did not expect to smell so much patchouli. It is quite strong when first sprayed and lasts pretty well throughout the day. Definitely one of the stronger scents from this line.

This smells nice. . It’s a floral chypre . Type scent . Smells a lot like tocca maya when it’s dried down . I’m not really getting honeysuckle or bourbon, and it smells like patchouli to me. . It’s very floral. But it doesn’t smell like yellow or white florals to me. . It’s actually quite nice. .

This perfume smells like being enveloped in your own sweet love. Its sweetness lingers long after its initial application and offers a warmth that soothes. It's sugary, floral and flirty. I go for this perfume when I want to feel my own whimsy - which is most days!

I thought I liked this at first, but the longer I wore it, the weirder the smell. I get none of the listed notes, but I also couldn't even begin to describe what I do smell. I have a word for lots of smells, but not this one. I'd scrub it if I could, but it's scrub-resistant.

I was kind of scared due to the below review lol I unfortunately hated Golden Nectar because of the waxy chapstick scent it had. However, I grabbed a sample of this and I'm kind of in love? It smells like something I've definitely smelled before but I can't really recall what it is, it's very like... La vie est Belle/black opium type style or something? Doesn't smell like those but it's kind of a heavier scent like them, like thick and sweet I guess? It's not a booze bomb either, it's well blended and you don't smell like someone accidentally spilled a drink on you lol. This doesn't smell super floral to me but the florals do round it out very well. I think if you like floral gourmand-ish scents you'd like this. I really wish I could describe it better or pull the notes out better because I was personally frustrated there were so few reviews on this line and I was hoping to be more helpful lol (but actually both the reviews below are pretty spot on about this perfume and give great insight, so much so that there isnt much else to say about this!) Theperfumedcourt sells samples of it, try it! It's so good, probably my favorite from this line, I'd get a travel or full bottle of this.

Delightful, sweet, boozy flowers. Stays pretty light for being quite syrupy sweet. Not breaking any ground but still manages to be something I can't compare to anything else. A little bit sultry, even. Yeah, this is nice.
