Bitter Peach

A brief bit of background before we get into the scent. In Prague with my wife, we dip into a perfumery as she wants to check out something. I’m used to this being a relatively long process so gravitate over to the TF counter. The wife just bought a Killian bamboo (very nice) and I’m looking at the private blends. Just for fun, I pick up the bitter peach (it’s a hot day) expecting it to be very feminine and not for me. To start with I’m going to offer this advice. There’s a lot of noise about this fragrance, so you need to put all that to the side and just try it on your skin. First spritz: a really intense hit of bitter peach and orange. Very nice on a warm summer evening. Fun. And I liked it a lot. But having made quick decisions before and regretted as things dry down (and given the price point), I let my wife smell it (she really liked it on me) and we went to have a drink and a walk. This is where things got interesting. I sniffed my arm intermittently. And I liked it even more. After a good 2 hours my wife is noticing during aperitif that I’m sniffing and smiling. A lot. The dry down on this is what makes it. You are left with that peachiness but it develops into a woody, faintly floral and slightly amber skin scent. It’s morning here and I just smelled my arm again. It’s still there, faint but really, genuinely very, very good. To me this is perfectly unisex, and I would argue that the Drydown makes it lean more masculine. And it’s fun. It’s really fun. It makes me smile. And it’s been a long time since I smelled my arm and smiled repeatedly. Is it worth the price point. As I said to my wife: “That b@stard Ford has done it again”, he makes perfumes that I consistently reach for, that challenge and make me smile, and that I really enjoy smelling on me. They happen to be expensive. Which is clearly a pisser. I don’t know what made me reach for the bitter peach, maybe just a whim, the colour, the heat, the fact that I’m quite partial to a peach ice-tea, but I’m very glad I did. I went back and bought a bottle, luckily my wife had a discount of 15% which helped a bit. I’ll leave it here: try it, all of our skin chemistries are different, and some of love smells and tastes that others don’t, are indifferent about or find repulsive. I find value judgements about the TF brand largely irrelevant to the conversation, was it better before, has it sold out? Honestly my dear fragrance lovers, who cares? What I care about is smelling nice and fragrances that lift, make me happy and that I enjoy wearing. Bitter peach is now part of that roster.

So I just got a bottle today and sprayed it on a small spot on my arm. The first initial spray was decently harsh, could throw some people off. It lives up to the “bitter” in the name, but definitely isn’t horrendous, I actually enjoyed it. The main thing you smell is definitely peach, obviously. It’s very very realistic which is kinda crazy? It isn’t your typical syrupy or overly sweet peach, it’s like a peach you just picked, juicy, fragrant, and just perfectly ripe. I literally just smell a very juicy peach in this, and I’m not the biggest peach fan with fragrances. As it dries down, you get a bit of extra freshness which is really nice. The sandalwood comes in for a good creamy bit of richness to it. I still think the craziest thing is how the peach actually stays the entire time. Usually a peach note would just kinda fly away after the first 15-20 minutes at most but it’s there the entire time. I can say I thoroughly enjoy this. Performance is way better than Lost Cherry, and isn’t as thick or syrupy. It’s a lot more fresh and bright. This is a perfect summer or early fall fragrance. The only thing that keeps me from fully recommending is the price, but if you can get your hands on it, you won’t be disappointed. I absolutely love it.

My Bitter Peach arrived from Nordstrom New York City, and I am in LOVE!! I have 8-9 Tom Ford scents (my favs are Tobacco Vanille, Lost Cherry and Noir de Noir) and I am quite sure Bitter Peach will be in my top 3-4 fav scents. Initial spray is strong and V E R Y peachy, almost peach rings candy peachy (good thing I happen to absolutely love peach rings ;) ) While the peach scent is very strong and almost realistic and very sweet, it is not a juvenile sweet. Within 10-15 mins, the very strong and sweet peach candy note softens, and like magic...Bitter Peach warms up, softens and woody and balsamic notes take the wheel. I was so nervous after that Fragrantica writer bashed Bitter Peach, and maybe it was done because of the stupid high price (yes, it is overpriced), but Bitter Peach is magical. I cannot stop smelling my arm. 1-2 sprays on my arm, and 4 hours later...it has softened but is still very there and smells even better.

I'll start by saying I don't find it similar to Angel at all because I can't stand Angel and I love this. It's not as bitter as that and the predominant base is sweet. It's the most realistic peach smell I've ever tried, it puts most others in a corner. It's deeper than any other peach smell I've tried, it doesn't have the light femininity of the Kayali peach and it's not a very playful peach - it's much sexier than that and versatile as a day to night scent. Despite all this, I'd still profile it as a spring-summer scent because peach in general doesn't go with the colder months in my mind. It's an amazing scent for people who love fruity sweet scents that are realistic and a bit more mature than an average body mist. Projection and sillage is similar to other TF fruit/light fragrances like soleil blanc and lost cherry. Definitely a unique fragrance and I'll put it on my list for a future purchase.

The vanilla and tonka bean then emerge, blending with the fruity heart to create an intoxicating creaminess that balances the dry opening with velvety, gourmand richness. The result is a complex, seductive fragrance that dances between sweetness, spice, and a bittersweet edge—bold, opulent, and undeniably unforgettable.

Well, I just spritzed 1 Spray on my wrist today afternoon so let me give you a small review. The opening is slightly harsh - reminded me a lil of Thierry Muglers Angel, but that period didn’t last Very long. After that the peach is Very noticeable with some sharpness coming through - in this phase it’s Very intense, sweet and sharp - this lasts like an hour/hour and a half. Then its starting to get smoother and super fruity (i can smell peach and mango - Even tho it isnt there) which lasts the most time. It was just 1 spritz and I could smell it all day around me Even tho i wasnt smelling my wrist, so longevity and sillage is pretty good. Leans more feminine in my opinion. Overall it is a good fragrance and in my opinion a good adition to the line because its completely different than the other private blends.

It’s a nice and beautiful scent. Fresh, fruity and summery. It’s not very complex, evidently the peach is the main note here. It’s nice and wearable, and enjoy it, but for me it’s simplicity is definitely not worth the price tag. For me, any Tom Ford should definitely be complex, surprising and mysterious to warrant the price tag, and Bitter Peach is not that. Especially not if you take into account that there’s very close dupes of this one on the market. Especially considering that the Maison Alhambra dupe of Bitter Peach is better as far as projection and longevity is concerned. On a side note, this is the most beautiful Tom Ford Private Line bottle to me – but orange is my favorite color, so that might be a reason...

This is like peach rings mixed with something dark and forbidden. It’s peachy (obviously lol), juicy, and syrupy sweet but with this sexy boozy twist that’s absolutely intoxicating. There’s a rich, woody base that gives it depth and makes it feel almost illicit.. like you shouldn’t want it as much as you do, but you can’t stop yourself. It’s sensual, complex, and dripping in temptation. They should’ve called this forbidden peach lol. I love it. Addictive, delicious, and so unapologetically sexy <3 Update: The longevity is insane.. like literally 12+ hours. It clings to your skin and keeps that intoxicating, juicy sexiness going all day (and into the night). Just another reason I’m obsessed!

One of the best Tom Ford fragrances. Unisex and surprisingly unique. The peach and rum stand out most to me. it's not headachingly boozy but reminiscent of a yummy cocktail of sorts. A little teeny weeny kick of spice. I don't enjoy spiciness but did like the notes in this fragrance. I had it in a sample size and wore it so frequently that I ran out fast. Longevity is a complaint for many Tom Ford fragrances and this one is not immune. I loved it a lot but noticed others could not smell it on me oddly enough. wore off after a few hours. Of course overpriced but a lovely and unique peach fragrance. Edgy yet feminine Love. 8.5/10

Someone a few reviews down nailed it. This smells like Gucci Rush! This has been bugging me for weeks, its such a nostalgic scent and i couldnt pinpoint it. This is a gorgeous boozy, patchouli, juicy peach. Its got that Tom Ford DNA for sure where it smells sophisticated and complex with so many nuances as the fragrance develops. I love that its not candylike peach like a generic girly-girl designer fragrance, its peach done in an elevated, more mature way (not mature as in “old lady scent”). Id say its good for year round but maybe slightly better for winter/fall months. It projects like crazy and lasts hours and hours.

The other day I smelled this in the store driven by pure curiosity, and I immediately fell in love with it and had to get it. It became my new signature scent right away. It smells like a warm summer day does. I enjoy this smell a bit too much, I wish it wasn't so expensive tho.. I might have to find a dupe after I empty this bottle (It'll happen too soon..). I still have to test sillage and lonevity. update on lonevity after using it for two months: I can still smell it on myself at the end of the day even without reapplying. It's such a subtle but strong scent, I got a lot of compliments on it.

Every time I’ve smelled this in Bloomingdale’s on a tester strip it was always only a fruity peach fragrance to me. I loved it enough to pick up a bottle, and I was very pleasantly surprised on what I am picking up now during a full wearing. It is much more boozy and warm than I had thought, giving it much more depth. Not only is it a beautiful, realistic peach, but the background is filled with deep, warmth that makes this fragrance absolutely addicting. It’s definitely not the easiest fragrance to wear every day, but it’s a unique masterpiece that in my opinion deserves more appreciation.

Prominently powdery opening that reveals an almost astringent underripe fruit. The mid- and base notes modulate the sharpness of the citrus to effervescence. The white florals may read feminine to some wearers, but I believe these notes are styled to unisex by the peach, citrus, and the dry, resinous base. It's a clean, warm, and tactile scent that wouldn't be out of place if you're sat under a big, fluffy throw rug, three drinks deep watching Jamie Fraser stoke the fire. Projection is about 4 or 5 feet, sillage is noticeable but not pushy. Longevity is the low end of good (6-8 hours).

I’ve been away for a hot minute and I’ve realised I’ve yet to review this beauty. This juicy, bitter fragrance suits my skin chemistry to a tee. I get ripe peaches, the bitter bite, and delicious dry down. For me, this is an eternal joy. To parents of teenaged boys who have that stank...the BP body spray sits amazingly on teen boy skin and cuts through that natural acrid oiliness they torture us with. As you can see in other reviews this girl definitely divides the community, so not blind-buy worthy. Test it to your skin chemistry. Hopefully you’ll get what I do - pure bliss.

Unique indeed! 1-2 sprays max, it is very long lasting fragrance. It does resemble Angel and in some moments Scandal. Kinda mix of both, but stands on its own. Unisex and for people who love strong in your face fragrances. Very bold and daring. Not a safe blind buy and not suitable for everybodys skin chemistry. Its one of those fragrances that either you wear it or it wears you and chokes you. Saying you aint good enough for me! For me only people who are comfortable with themselves can wear it. Perfect signature scent all year around, more appopriate night time!

In my opinion Bitter Peach is an amazing scent! On my skin I get an absolutely beautiful blend of juicy peach, boozy rum and vanilla. I don’t get any bitterness whatsoever, I think the name was chosen purely for innuendo purposes. It has a youthful/playful scent profile so I wouldn’t wear it to a wedding or ballroom event but I can see it working wonders on date nights, bars, clubs etc. Tom Ford seems to get a lot of unwarranted hate so I’d suggest you take negative comments with a grain of salt, try it for yourself and see if it works for you.

I am in peach heaven! This perfume is soooo good! Probably one of my favorite perfumes from Tom Ford line. It is so delicious. Very ripe peach smell lingers for hours. Not too sweet. Me personally I see this more as early fall perfume vs summer. Maybe because I live in very humid hot summer climate area, fall time when all fruits are ripping is perfect time to wear it. The only downside of this perfume is, I cannot imagine wearing too frequently. It is very distinct linear smell. But for those special days, it is pure joy!

opens with yummy peach and dries down to exactly how my great grandmas cinnamon potpurie basket smelled like. which i adored. no musk or anything else (which is near impossible with my chemistry - i draw musk out of nowhere) just straight cinnamon bark. little bit of wicker basket. I love it. Agree it's not super unique but very solid. smells clean in a unique way - great everyday scent. def unisex but think this would be an excellent and playful masculine signature scent.

It’s crazy to me that so many people dislike this! I was on the hunt for a summer peach perfume and a woody scent (which I lack in my collection) This perfectly blends what I wanted in a single perfume! It’s not too sweet, which is a plus as I already have a ton of sweet scents! It’s a little boozy, but not overwhelmingly so. Fantastic longevity, too. I get a LOT of peach on my skin, but less like a bright fresh peach, more like a compote.

For info, i'm an 18 year old man/male So on my skin this opens up with a slight green, but very juicy peach, and it definitely stays throughout the whole experience. By the time it dries down, I get some sort of plasticky, fuzzy peach, in the best way possible. This seems suitable for the whole year, except for maybe the hottest days. And in my opinion pretty unisex, and only ever so slightly feminine leaning.

Gorgeous, not too intense overall and it is long lasting. Peach, blood orange and rum up front, cashmere and a very nice patchouli come through later on. The entire perfume is extremely well blended, fruity, boozy, floral, and a little warm & cozy. Good all year round scent except maybe the dead of summer. I love this perfume! I didn’t have the Tom Ford version because of obvious pricing reasons but I did get Dossier’s Ambery Peach in the US which is a near perfect dupe to this, unfortunately, that dossier fragrance is only available in the states and I’m waiting for them to release it here. I constantly got compliments from wearing it and I loved it a perfect spicy vanilla powdery peach.

It doesn’t smell like peaches. It smells like orange Jelly Beans mixed with musk. I’ve never smelled anything better, which is why it’s become my signature scent. If only Estée Lauder hadn’t bought TF in ’23—this would’ve been perfect forever. There’s a noticeable difference between the old batches and the new ones, and honestly, it breaks my heart.

Smells like peaches, but in a different way. It has the bitterness, depth and something boozy. It kinda reminds me of bibliothèque by Byredo, but Byredo has the old parchment smell. Bitter Peach is one of my favorite perfumes, I got complimented and asked by a few people what I was wearing. Would absolutely buy again 1000000/10

Same with @los benjos here, I just want to enjoy the fragrance. I couldn't care less about the winding paragraphs on how one or another brand is 'not like it used to be'. I bought a decant of Bitter Peach and I loved it. It is dry, fruity, cozy and warm, a little boozy. A delight to sniff off of yourself.

This is in my top 10 tom ford perfumes, the peach note is extremely life like, though it's not a very juicy peach it's' still a very enjoyable scent. I will say, this is a very subjective scent that not all will enjoy being graced by. as a man I wear this quite often, one of my most complimented scents

Diabolical price tag but one spray is a powerhouse peach that lasts forever on clothes. A solid invention of a scent thats a bold fruity scent. I get hours out of it and its awesome. I love peach scents so i layer this wirh kayali Eden Peach and it mixes in well...its definitely bitter.

I know this scent can be harsh but it's such an intense sweetness without somehow smelling synthetic at all, it's like pure fruit. It smells like the most pure peach and grapefruit scent ever. It literally makes me want to roll my eyes back and just groan.

I tried it in the store and liked it very much. I chose between this and velvet orchid, I bought velvet orchid, but as time went on, I liked the bitter peach scent more. I regret my choice, I want to buy it if it goes on sale. great perfume

as a 30 years old male I cannot find the correct words to express how I like the way this fragrance smells.. I am not a perfume expert but this stuff is just gorgeous. definitely 5/5 from me I wish 100ml version is still produced.

I love this fragrance. It is very lovely for the colder days since it has this sweetness from the peach and also this richness from it's chypre structure (patchouli) giving it warmth and some darkness.

A nice refreshing peach scent with some citrus and spice notes mixed in. I think it's a really beautiful smell. However, I definitely don't think it's worse the price.

One of the best tom ford's releases alongside with cherry smoke imo, you get either hate or compliments with this one but definitely will be noticed.

So I revisited Bitter Peach, and oh is this a most re-orchestrated, redemptive review. With less suspicion and more skin, I found the whole thing to click into focus. It was less like the concoction of candied cough syrup I got last occasion, and more like an umbrous bruised peach radiating scarlet from its pit. Velvet flesh, tannic pit, a rind-level bitterness that keeps the sweetness from ever slumping. This scent is even... fuzzy. Technically the peach is a sleight of hand folded into woody ionones: a synthetically sun-warmed, slightly shadowed fruit. If you're looking for photorealistic, safe to say this is not your best bet. The boozy halo however is gorgeous: I can see rum, cognac, slivovitz, inflections stitched together with balsams. Gives it almost a silk-lined swagger, really. There is definitely that smoky twang from davana too—almost reminds me of a herbal grapefruit tonic, actually—and a clever patchouli fraction, cocoa-dusty and dry. The sweet pith curve v. the bitter and lacquered edge. Ahh. There's that vibe of an amber lamp lighting up, while vanilla plays accompanist, maybe just one too close to turning the liqueur glow syrupy. The balance is precarious. Spices brushed onto cashmere, labdanum incense brushing up on skin. Everything gives Bitter Peach a slouchy yet architectural build. One thing I definitely noticed: the cold keeps composition taut, the bitter line keeps the lactones honest. It's less pharmacy to my first experience, the sweetness now arriving in pulses then receding before fatigue. It’s still big (don't doubt, projecting in ellipses. One spray is plenty; two is a proclamation. Maybe it's not heat-proof, too charismatic for small talk, but it more than devotes to the sensuous, the luxurious, the slightly dangerous. A lot hypnotic: a slow fade of peel and warm woods, the fruit dimming to golden-hour memory while the bitter thread keeps glowing. Yes, absolutely.

I bought 100ml of this secondhand online for an extreme bargain, and after seeing the repeated comments concerning how overpriced bitter peach is - even among Tom Ford's already overpriced catalogue - I hoped I could offer perhaps a more even-handed review given that I only forked up 100$ CAD for the bottle. Bitter Peach is fun. More specifically, it's the fun of a woman in her early thirties with more money than she knows what to do with. Immediately upon spraying, the smell is infectiously sweet, but not saccharine. I'm reminded of a cocktail which costs the same as a full meal and is served with a layer of foam on the top and a peach-skin garnish. It doesn't smell like a real peach in my opinion, but rather parts of a peach, or someone's very clever imagining of a peach. As the night went on, it developed into something warmer, spicier, and more masculine. Although I should mention, it remains a decidedly feminine fragrance. It's as if the big-shot businessman this disgustingly rich woman is hanging around with that day is rubbing his cologne and cigar smoke / rum smell off on her. There's something there I can't place, but I found myself smelling my wrist again and again, trying to figure it out - smiling every time. Sure, there are perfumes which offer a more complex experience for the appalling price tag. Sure, there are perfumes which are more mature, more self-serious, etcetera. But, maybe I want to smell like someone who books a one-way ticket to Portofino on a whim and wears gold bracelets which cost the same as a down payment on a house, someone with a sweet infectious laugh and a love of fresh fruit.

I expected more from this fragrance to be honest, but it is by no means a bad fragrance, and you get what you paid for in terms of naming, but for what you're getting, this is very much not worth it's large price tag in my opinion. It opens with its namesake, a bitter peach (lol), with swathes of citrus and a little spice in between each waft, the peach itself to me smelt a little synthetic in the opening, but after like 10 minutes it started to become higher quality, that being said, there isn't much complexity behind the fragrance, the listed boozy notes of Cognac and rum and nigh undetectable for me and all I can really smell in the mid that's added is Davanna. The far drydown is your standard sandalwood-tonka-vanilla trio that many other fragrances have, but I'll give them props for keeping the Peach in for quite a while, not just the opening. It has a light-medium projection and it's longevity its ok, but for a Tom Ford Fragrance this expensive it definitely is disappointing, I got like 5ish hours and it barely was on my skin by the end. It can be worn all season but debatable for winter. Overall I'll give this like a 7, I want to give this a a 7.5 but the price tag really is quite unjustified in regards to the final product, I have yet to smell the well known clone of this, but if it's any close, I'd go with that, because even at a discounter I'm unsure if I'd ever get a full bottle of this

Starts out with a juicy, fuzzy, hyperrealistic peach. Man, what an opening! Seriously impressive. I can detect hints of spiced booze as well. The opening feels like sipping a mixed drink at a party. You are surrounded by friends, all talking and laughing together in the sunlight. The mood is effervescent and inviting. The middle of the performance is my least favorite part because I’m not a huge fan of florals and my skin seems to amplify the jasmine. Thankfully, the scent continues to evolve. Bitter Peach’s final phase is soft, heady, and warm. The base notes team up to create a scent that is equal parts cozy and intoxicating. You’ve wrapped yourself in a warm blanket. The sun is setting and everyone has settled down into smaller groups. The lively chatter from earlier has transformed into intimate, hushed conversations. The longevity and projection on my skin are both massive. I still catch noticeable whiffs of the scent after 8 hours of wear without having to lift my arm to my nose. Despite the fragrance’s undeniable high quality, the price is still too outrageous for me to own a full bottle.

initially i hated this. to me, this doesn’t smell like peaches at all initially. it just smells like nail polish remover and then smells very green/dirty i’m not sure if it’s the patchouli i’m smelling or the davana but it smells terrible. I’ve since learned this is definitely an on skin scent as the warmth really changes the scent. it goes from a nasty dirty green smell to a syrupy creamy peach. i’m someone who usually also sprays on my clothes for longevity/more projection but this ends up staying on the stinky top notes which was my issue but NOW i can really smell the peach and it smells so good. i like to layer a fresh preach on my clothes and bitter peach only on the skin. i had this issue with Lost Cherry as well, i wasn’t a fan of the top notes but loved the syrupy cherry as it settles. i found that the body spray goes straight to that syrupy cherry and i’m thinking i should get the bitter peach body spray to be able to get that sweet syrupy peach faster and have it on my clothes

I've been intrigued by this fragrance forever. The opening is lovely and exactly what I signed up for, a bitter, to me more sour peach. Very unique and reminds me of the twee aesthetic (especially the japanese 2000s ver). Gives me a cute but unique quiet girl. I do not own this fragrance personally but have had the pleasure of spraying it on my wrist a couple times and enjoying it that way. My question is, does anyone understand what I'm looking for and have a dupe? Because this one is, as usual, overpriced and the cognac/alcoholic notes in the drydown are a bit too heavy to my liking. ୨୧....୨୧ ....୨୧ Stats: Sillage, moderate Longevity, great, lasted the whole 5h flight and more, couldn't get it off Price, 10ml for £90 and 50ml for £290 is a lot, and quite overpriced says the majority Gender, on me does perform quite feminine but I'd say unisex Time, day/evening, late summer to fall ୨୧....୨୧ ....୨୧ Overall I'm not sure, not safe blindbuy

If this were a quarter of the price, I would be into it. It’s the olfactory equivalent of eating a peach-flavored Jelly Belly. It’s peach, through and through; distilled, sugary, and with a peach-fuzz vibe that’s most likely conveyed by the sandalwood and cashmeran. The trouble, for me, is that no matter how many notes are in this, all I really get is PEACH. It smells youthful, juicy, sweet, and sort of playful. Which would be fine, if this were a $90 fragrance, but for Tom Ford prices, I want complexity and depth, not a one-note bit of fun. I will say, I love Angel, and this smells almost nothing like Angel to me. At leas not the EDP. It may have just a little resemblance to the Angel EDT. The peach here is juicy&sweet&tangy in a way that is broadly similar to the juicy&sweet&tangy of red berries, praline, and vanilla in Angel EDT's opening. But Angel EDT is much funkier and more gourmandish than BP’s overwhelming juicy peach note.
