Bois Pacifique

I went in not expecting much from this fragrance, but I was pleasantly surprised, it surpassed my expectations for sure. To me it smells like a more versatile, well rounded, spicier, and an all around upgrade to Ébène Fumé. On my skin, it opens up with a pretty standard blast of smooth woods with a little incense behind it, but after a few minutes as it enters the mid, Cardamom comes to the forefront and accentuates the woodiness nicely, with a slight vanilla sweetness below the Cardamom to complete the addicting scent profile of this Frag. It really does give me a kind of cola vibe on my skin quite a lot, if you've evrr tried the Indian soft drink known as "Thumbs Up" before (spiced cola), to me it very much smells a fair bit like drinking that, while of course sitting in a place that has the fresh smell of oak wood. It stays like this for around an hour and half-2hours, then the resins start to come out, and so to does the resemblance to Ébène Fumé, but unlike that (which gives me a headache in the dry down), Bois Pacifique smells extremely smooth and the resins are complimented really well by the lingering cardomon, still giving a cola-like feeling to the DNA. The far drydown is more or less the same as the mid, with the main difference being the Cardamom and alight vanilla sweetness slowly fades, while the woody church kinda vibe slowly increases as the sole accord till the scent fizzles out. Projection is rather mild which I personally like, as I prefer my fragrances to be in-between skin scents and medium projecting most of the time. I got around 6-7 hours on my skin, but I'd say it could push up to 8-9 hours if you went heavier on the sprays. As I said in the opening statement, I do think this is quite versatile, I'd personally wear it anytime aside from super hot and/or humid days in summer, this could work as a work fragrance as well in my opinion, but to each their own. I also think that despite this being quite masculine imo, it could easily be pulled off by a woman. Overall I'm quite impressed by this, and if I could get it for a decent discount, I'd most definitely consider a full bottle, Definitely worth trying if you're a fan of wood scents in my opinion. Final verdict 8.8/10

My husband is not a scent wearer, in spite of my repeated efforts. I have purchased several bottles over the years for him, things that ostensibly he liked enough to tell me that they smell good, but wearing them on a regular basis hasn't been something he was into. Over the recent winter holidays, we went to Nordstrom, and we smelled this. He really enjoyed it and kept smelling the tester paper. He never does that; outside of candles for the home, scent isn't something he thinks about one way or the other. I think this fragrance hits a sweet spot where it is interesting, performs well, but isn't super challenging. It just smells like a high quality, alluring fragrance. I was wary of the akigalawood myself when I first saw the notes, but it doesn't overwhelm. If you want the scent of being deep in the redwoods on a golden autumn day without a lot of extra fuss or weirdness, this is it. The bottle/juice and the adverts give a good indication of what you are getting. Warm, rich, golden, slightly sweet, woody, with a touch of incense and spice to keep it from smelling too much like a candle. I bought him a bottle for Valentine's Day this year, and I think he will keep it for years to come as he is also a light sprayer. That said, you could easily overdo this and suffocate a room, but applied with a cautious hand, it is still lovely and long-lasting with a decent scent cloud. I don't own any TF myself and most don't appeal to me, but if my husband is only gonna have one bottle, at least it has some quality to it. Haters expect something weird and unapproachable like many other TF scents, but this is a TF for normal folks. We are both happy with the purchase for sure!

I'm convinced that most of these reviewers haven't even smelt BP. If they have, it was on a tester card. BP is a good fragrance, it is structured in an easy-going and welcoming way. The turmeric poses a slight challenge in the first 30 minutes, but after that it is pleasant enough. As someone else said, there is plenty of bois, but not enough pacifique. From the name, I was expecting a sun-soaked marine/coastal note to compliment the woods. However, there is a saltiness to this fragrance which, with some creative license, can be interpreted as a coastal accord. The ingredients used are high quality, and the blend is enjoyable meaning that the accords are realistic and believable. Most importantly, BP does not smell synthetic, and for me that is a huge win. Contrary to what others are saying, I think that the £108 for 50ml or £152 for 100ml offers good value for this level of perfumery. For the people saying that the longevity is poor: some people don't want to smell like the overpowered oud/sweet mess that is currently plaguing the industry. Regardless, after spraying three times, I can detect BP after 6 hours. It is pleasant and provides a comforting and reassuring smell. Can I smell it over the guy in the bar wearing the latest synthetic mess from the high street or arabic clone house? No. And good luck finding a suitably interesting and high quality fragrance that will. An interesting release. A very likeable and wearable fragrance. 8/10.

This scent is so captivating that when I first sprayed it on the back of my hand to test it I kept sniffing it for hours. It's a very elegant woody scent, one of the best woody scent profiles I have ever come across. The opening has a very prominent cardamom note, the cedar and sandalwood accords give it a nice backbone but it doesn't become too sweet or heavy, so it's working well in basically any season, day or night. The projection is average and longevity is moderate at best, around 3-5 hours on my skin, lasts a bit longer on clothing. For me it's painting a picture of taking a walk in a sunlit, coastal pine forest on a warm spring/summer day. It's very elegant and quite masculine, and for me it's more dressed up than dressed down, I can't imagine wearing it on casual days, it's more like an elevated elegant outgoing fragrance or perfect for date nights, spray it on and you immediately become an elegant, well-groomed man wearing a tailored suit. I love this scent, I know there's a lot of complaints regarding the performance, but for me the scent profile compensates for the longevity and I don't think all perfumes must have beast mode projection either, it's just a very high quality fragrance that's unique enough to keep it in my collection.

Recently tried this at a Nordstrom, alongside Ebene Fume and a few others: In my opinion Ebene Fume and this were very, very different. EF is very heavy, loaded with burning sandalwood and Palo Santo. This on the other hand was much brighter and very heavy on the frankincense. Unburned frankincense specifically, at least in the beginning, completely dominated. This reminded me more of CdG Avignon or Montale Full Incense, but with more complexity; there were many difficult to discern notes in the background that likely emerge over time. I liked it very much. I plan to buy a sample but will likely pull the trigger, as I recently gave away Full Incense, my only frankincense-centered fragrance, to a good friend. I like the exalted vibes from wearing olibanum but found Full Incense too monotone. This is more interesting. I should add that this did not smell, to me, anything like Gucci Pour Homme or Bentley Absolute. I do not understand this comparison, but everyone's senses are unique I guess.

It's our first chilly day in a month or so this spring, so I'm finally trying out a sample I got a while ago. Perfect for a cool, rainy, foggy mood like this. I love it. Woody, spicy, and I'd say leaning distinctively more masculine. Reviews that say it's got a Coca-Cola vibe hit the nail on the head, particularly at the opening--that's very much what it smells like. After an hour or so I get much more wood and frankincense. The setting it evokes for me is sitting beside a fireplace in a wood cabin while rain drizzles through the fall woods outside. Now, I could be getting noseblind, but my sense on this first wear is that it's fading rather fast on skin, though I get whiffs occasionally. What it reminds me of, and I didn't see anyone say this yet, is L'Homme Ideal EDP. There's no fruit listed in the notes here and this is indeed distinctively less sweet without the cherry, but I would describe this as having a similar feel, though perhaps more easily dressed down.

I was trying it on yesterday and it really surprised me. I didn't expect to like it that much. I think I also tried it last year when I ended up buying Velvet Orchid but don't remember it having such an effect on me. To me it smells like a fresh forrest air. It does lean on a masculine side somewhat, but only when cedar and oak come through ..and that's not all the time. It also doesn't bother me because I love cedar. But I am surprised that people here find it more masculine than unisex. I think that vanilla, iris and amber give it a softer touch and make it really powdery and push things more on the unisex side. Even feminine at some point. I also love how I can smell all the different notes all the way to the end. They keep switching and I find that really interesting and fun. It lasts really long on my skin and it's also pretty strong on me.

One of my favorite fragrances right now. A fizzy smoked wood with a sweet amber finish. I also get Gucci Pour Homme similarities. Whoa. Back from the dead? Reincarnated into a sweeter, more ambery body perhaps. Between this and the more austere Papyrus Oud, fans of GpH are absolutely covered in 2025. A reviewer below compared this to Montale Full Incense — but mentions how this is just a lot better. I agree with this comparison. The Montale seems like a rough prototype of Bois Pacifique. I’m just listing these references to let you know the genre Bois Pacifique shares company with — still, it is totally its own creation. I think this is gorgeous. This is just the genre I go crazy for. A nice ambery incense and wood with an addicting pinch of salt and subtle inflections of cardamom. An extremely well balanced fragrance for my taste. 9.4/10

Bois Pacifique is a very calm, elegant, and expensive-smelling fragrance. It is not loud, not aggressive, and not trying to get attention. It just smells clean, woody, warm, and very well put together. To me, it smells like warm wood, soft spices, and slightly sweet dry air near the ocean. Very smooth and very relaxing scent. It feels mature, confident, and understated. This is not a party fragrance and not a club fragrance. Office, meetings, dinner, everyday signature scent — it works perfectly. Performance is moderate on my skin, but the fragrance sits close to the skin and smells very elegant. Not a beast mode fragrance, but that actually fits the character of the scent. Very classy, very calm, very confident fragrance.

It's boozy and has deep notes of whiskey (the Irish kind). I'm surprised no one has picked up on the whiskey and rum flavours, as it smells like an oak barrel in a distillery. It's gorgeous. Don't overspray. If you know what "angel's share" is [not the perfume, the term used in whisk(e)y] then you'll love this. Case in point? I wore this on my wedding day. It pairs exceptionally well with a suit (the wedding was in summer, so it can do both!). It'll last all day and it's intoxicating. Go for the 50ml version first, it'll last a full year as it's not an everyday fragrance. Sophisticated. Classy. Exceptional.

Bois Pacifique is all about smooth, refined balance—warm woods, soft spice, and a subtle creamy sweetness that gives it a sun-warmed feel. Slightly dry, never harsh. Everything is blended seamlessly. Nothing stands out, nothing overwhelms—it just works. It wears closer to the skin in a more understated, refined way. Performance complaints haven’t matched my experience. On well-moisturized skin, it lasts and develops nicely. There’s something familiar about it—warm, grounded, a bit nostalgic. Nothing feels out of place. Signature-worthy, easily.

Honestly love this fragrance. Is it a complex masterpiece? No. Is it expensive for what it is? Maybe. But I can’t stop wearing it. It’s a moderately dry, slightly spiced woody fragrance. Inoffensive indeed, and maybe nothing special, but it feels like a warm comforting hug. It feels like home. I understand that people are a bit disappointed in this scent, but personally I’d buy another full bottle when mine runs out. And regarding performance, this is one of the only fragrances that gets me compliments, so I’m sure it projects a bit.

How refined and expensive it smells! The opening has a beautiful aromatic freshness, led by cardamom and dry spices, which makes the fragrance feel vibrant without turning sharp or overly fresh. As it develops, the woods become the real focus. Cedar, oak and sandalwood create a smooth, dry and polished woody texture that feels genuinely luxurious. There is also a subtle touch of incense and amber underneath, adding warmth and depth without making it heavy or sweet. Calm, confident and exceptionally well put together. 9/10

Today I tried some TF perfumes, just to remind myself and I came across this one and it impressed me so much that I bought it right away. It is such a pleasant fragrance, powdery, with doses of freshness and doses of warmth. A similar vibe to Armani Code perfume, not in smell, but in the structure of the perfume. In my opinion, the perfume is very versatile, perhaps its best vibe is spring and autumn. For winter it is not that strong, and for summer it would be a little heavy during the heat, maybe in the evening.

Bois Pacifique is an amazing woody fragrance! I don't know if people are gatekeeping this or what, since it hasn't gotten the hype it deserves. To me it opens up as a sweet mix of Cedar and Coca Cola which then settles into a luxurious woody scent complimented by frankincense and iris. Longevity is great, however the sillage is a bit subtle (don't expect it to fill a room) but still good enough. Overall great new versatile fragrance that can be worn all year round (yes even in the summer).

Impulse bought this in an airport duty free for a bit of a discount, so I can't complain about the price point for a 50ml bottle. I'd echo a lot of the other reviews, it's a really wearable, mass appealing woody-spicey fragrance. The cardamom and Tumeric really shine through before it settles into the woody notes. Performance is pretty good, but not monstrous. Nothing overtly special about it, but also it's still a very likeable fragrance, that I'm happy to have on my shelf.

Asked for a few woody samples and upon smelling this, I fell for it like a big heavy log. I love the fact that it fades into a subtle hint. It’s warm and woody and addictive. Had I read the notes (vanilla, frankincense and amber) I would have stayed miles away, but I honestly cannot distinguish them. Not a big fan of Tom Ford perfumes in general (just Neroli and Costa Azzurra) but this blew me away and now my other Woods (Halfeti and Hinoki by JM) are too strong for me.

Beautiful and refined, reminds me a bit of Hugo Boss Bottled Elixir with the strong incense and woods, except this is lighter and less spicy, and the woods are more realistic here. There's a nice subtle coca-cola element somewhere in here. I also love the little bit of turmeric here giving this a slight sharp spiciness in the opening. Perfecrly suitable for fall, winter and spring. High quality, a bit old-school, comforting woody fragrance. I love it. 8/10

Spicy triple woods combo with a bit of freshness. TF did a good job of creating a scent that literally smell like being in a coastal pine forest with the sun beaming through the trees. Because this fragrance is fairly airy and not too heavy it could probably worn all seasons except for maybe really hot weather. Masculine and unique. One of the best recent releases from TF. Really nice bottle and atomiser too. 8.5/10

Amazing year round woody scent. The akigalawood and iris notes give it a fizzy/electric start that most woody fragrances are missing. As it dries down the woody notes take the stage and smell like a lumber yard a few days after the rain, vaguely damp, but very much woody. I see the vanilla note, but do caution it is very much a warm note rather than a sweet note. 10/10 fragrance for people that like woody scents.

I absolutely love love love this fragrance, but the only complaint I have is the performance. Normally I’m ok with low performance perfumes , only if they’re cheap, because I can spray tf out of them and not worry; however, for 165$ for a 50 ml I’m so unbelievably disappointed. This smells like a very churchy incense draped in sandalwood and I love it, but damn if the performance isn’t like a fart in the wind.

I'm surprised this is marketed towards men, as a woman, I absolutely adore this scent! 100% unisex. It's slightly sweet, woody, and spicy, without being heavy at all. The dry down has a slightly aromatic touch, that for some reason reminds me of dish washing soap, but in the best possible way. I can't wait to get a full bottle of this one! Wish I had saved my money on Santal Blush and bought this instead.

This is my dream scent. Like a sweet cottage in the woods or... one of those nordik spas. Love this so freaking much. Def on the wish list. Clean, fresh, woody, and i love smelling this on myself. First impression was meh. But on second wearing, I really like this. It isn't just bland boring woods, it has just enough beauty and subtlety. Maybe it's the iris, frankincense or cardamon that gives it a nice Chanel-like sparkle. Might buy it after my Bentley Absolute has gone. Slightly different but same ballpark. BA contains a more churchy incense and a drier cedar.

Holy molly.. this is very different.. at first I get something like wax in a church kind of smell.. which is not bad,at least imo.. afterwards it gets a smooth sweetness which some find offensive and some not..can't explain it that good :) it seems like a more mature-man perfume but it is very elegant, harmonious and unique.. really love it. Not for a blind buy tho

It reminds me of the smell incense in a new mexico pueblo, a magical sent that brings back memories from my childhood. Very dry but with a pleseant hint of vanilla in the drydown. It smells rich, storried, and very naturall, not at all "perfumey"/ department store like. I get kind of poor projection and just decent longevity, but while it lasts its wonderfull.

In a nutshell this is a tamed Ébène Fumé, less dense and heavy, there is nothing fresh in this fragrance don’t let the Pacific mislead you. Still beautiful and sophisticated perfume that can be worn by man and woman. I applied it lightly and at distance from skin and it had stayed on me for about 6-7hrs. Easy grab for woodsy fragrance enthusiasts.

Love this. Coastal summer days bottled. An spicy/woody alternative and imo obvious complementary pairing (not layering but grouping-wise) to more floral forward summer evoking scents like those in TF's Neroli Portofino Collection or Frederic Malle's Lys Mediterranee (for example). Feels like they're in the same vein.

Gorgeous cardamom and a hint of turmeric with dry, metallic akigalawood, which develops into dense frankincense and just a tinge of iris. As an Indian and an expert on tea and spices, this is like sipping masala tea on a rainy day. For me, despite the familiarity, this is magic in a bottle.

First felt like Verscace Oud Noir. Then is creamy, woody, the right touch of sweetness. A girl wearing this would make me fall in love. It does smell like turmeric, but, have you ever had a Golden Milk (Milk, turmeric, vanilla, touch of cinnamon and black pepper)? Well, just like that.

Not as bone dry or incense-forward as Bentley Absolute. This is rounder and warmer from the slight vanilla and amber. Dare I say it, this might be more wearable then Bentley but it's not as special. The opening is an incredible, mega oak-bomb but it soon fades overall to a skin scent.

The turmeric comes out off as this pickled ginger type smell, but in a good way. The Drydown has this aquatic woodyness to it, like a ship at sea type of thing. I don’t understand people saying this is a winter frag, I’d say more spring time. Overall really nice 8/10

A very AVERAGE fragrance. Nothing special, nothing horrible.. It's a very dry woody fragrance and it's definitely manly.. Is it worth the $.. No. But, if you get a great deal, like $75 or less, sure, go for it. Another DISAPPOINTMENT from Tom Ford.. (Estee Lauder)...

This is a copy of Bois Mystique by Houbigant Paris. Where is the creativity? That's why I can't call Tom Ford a niche brand. I have both sprayed on my hand to compare side by side. Better buy Bois Mystique extrait for better performance with same profile.

The opening is vaguely foodie with the turmeric shining and strong on the cardamom and then it dries into a lovely clean frankincense and oak. That has a subtle sweetness from the vanilla. Spray it on skin when you smell it bc the opening may put u off

Possibly the best woody fragrance I've come across. Extremely well-blended. Safe for the office. Does remind me a bit of Ebene Fume, but not as loud. Would recommend to those looking for a masculine, woody frag that's not overbearing.

First impression, this is a very good masculine woody scent that could work year round. After a few wearings, OMG, this stuff is absolutely addicting. The best designer mens fragrance in a long time, probably since GPH1.

Great woody perfume. It has ok longevity but it should be better considering the price. I don't know why people voted this as a winter fragrance, I think its very versatile, it has an almost marine quality to my nose.

This one reminds me of my late grandpa's smell. He worked outside in the woods chopping trees, went to church burning incense to God, and was always there for me with hugs. Just because of that, it means a lot to me.

Had sample of this and bought immediately. So different to what else in in my collection. Def spring or summer eve. Only issue is the price as per. Really enjoying though in this current weather

A lovely light amber with sparkling top notes that remind me of ginger ale and sea breeze. It really does evoke fresh air in an evergreen forest by the Pacific. So unique and captivating.

Cedars and oak, wood wood wood. If you like wood it is magic. It is not really on the level of complexity of ebene fume nor bois marocain. Has no incense what makes ot all year perfume.

This is close to Halfeti Cedar but much lighter, and with the note of strong dried fruits almost absent, but very similar only much lighter. I think this is more wearable. I like it.

Very similar DNA to Halfeti imo. Was a bit sceptical of the turmeric note when I saw it in the breakdown, but it works really well and I enjoy it a lot. Brilliant release by TF.

I love it. Very woody. Different woody notes and cardamom. Dense, but airy and fresh in a way. Modern and very masculine scent. Tom Ford. Ideal and perfect for fall weather.

Gorgeous scent, smooth, woody with hints of incense - the best Tom Ford has put out in awhile. Reminds me of Tom Ford for Men Signature + Ebene Fume, best of both scents.

Definetly coca cola vibes, in a good way. Not sickly sweet, sticky or syrupy, but more airy and fresh. Like a coke with ice on a summer day. I love this one 🔥
