It starts off sharp and herbal, the experience of entering a high-end barber shop, which leaves a cold first impression. The dry down is a reliable husband—businessman who works a 9-5, he either runs his own company or holds a high position within it. Patient and self-controlled, he enjoys the gym or physical activities in his free time, but prioritizes family. A man who’s uncomplicated—simple yet thoughtful, doesn’t seem like the type to be romantic but he is. Not a love at first sight, but one that develops steadily with time and then never fizzles out. Well grounded and dependable, this man is the type you’d find it hard to argue with even on your period because he’s naturally calm and understanding. He smells like he’d be coy, but isn’t. Somebody you’ve got an initial opinion of being untrustworthy that instead you end up feeling the safest next to. Not a manwhore, nor inexperienced. Although this perfume carries itself with cockiness, he’s not arrogant. Knows the league he’s in but has no ego. I don’t know about “sexy baby powder”, a masculine skin scent of a well-groomed man rather. He doesn’t try too hard because he knows by default what to do. Hard-working but in a way that’s second nature, he’s the least to stress regardless of the situation. Lastly, he knows how to care, cares about caring, and his closest ones are very well-looked after. I sleep in this perfume.

just sniffed this for the first time without reading any of the notes, and immediately got the sensory-image of a supple black leather thigh-high stiletto-heeled boot stepping on a rich man’s face. 🖤 but then i noticed something so extremely FAMILIAR about this scent . . . so comforting and nostalgic . . . it smells almost identical to a fragrance i smelled years ago, perhaps not a perfume, but a product? then it hit me: American Cream by Lush. they are SO SIMILAR. FF is sweeter and sexier, with deeper nuances of amber, woods and tonka. FF also has a tiny bit of tart cherry that AC lacks. but the lavender, clary sage, suede/orris and powder are all mutual. the longer they dry down, the more similar they become. having just sprayed each fragrance on opposite wrists, American Cream feels like the dominatrix’s daytime vanilla alter ego: a student or nurse or some other ostensible “good girl.” after work, home from the dungeon, freshly showered, and in a cosy pink hoodie and sweatpants. the scent of bath products and shower steam wafts from the bathroom . . . but occasionally you catch the suede-y, sweaty scent from those thigh-high boots, now peeled-off and forgotten on the apartment floor. i really, REALLY like FF, but it’s hard to justify getting a full bottle when i could simply layer American Cream with the Finery Lost Cherry dupe for the same experience.

This truly smells like pure, unadulterated wealth and class to me, and I promise that impression isn't coming from the actual price. There are equally expensive frags out there that don't come close to carrying this "aura", for lack of a better word. (It's very overused nowadays, isn't it?) It's impossible for me to smell this scent without thinking of the color white. A soft, pure snow white - emanating from the finest fabrics and furs. But as you go to touch them, the texture is a wave of powdery clouds that you can somehow roll in like a bed. There is also a luxury suede bag nearby. Ironically, I think this is too refined and sophisticated to be something actual rich people would like. This is a scent for a fantasy rich person - the romanticized ideal that they want you to imagine them being like. In reality they would probably go for something far more garish and trashy as a tasteless display of weath. Real life rich people don't have scholarly opinions on art and literature; they install gold toilets. But is this worth the price? As good as it is... no, probably not. A decant though? Easiest recommendation in the world if you like powdery scents. This is one of the rare times a fragrance's scent completely matches its name in my opinion.

Certainly! Fcking Fabulous by Tom Ford is one of the most discussed and polarizing fragrances of the last decade. It's not just a perfume, it's a bold statement of intent, housed in a minimalist, opaque bottle. A "Creamy" Leather While many leather perfumes focus on rough, smoky or "workshop" scents, Fabulous chooses a decidedly more refined and metropolitan path. The beginning is deceptive. Lavender and Clary Sage offer an aromatic and almost "clean" boost, vaguely reminiscent of the atmosphere of a luxury barbershop. It's a dry and slightly medicinal opening. Magic happens in the heart. The Bitter Almond takes over, giving the fragrance an almost "plastic" (in the artistic sense) and powdery character. Iris and Vanilla soften the Leather, transforming it into something reminiscent of the scent of a brand new leather bag that has had expensive talc spilled inside. The finish is dominated by Tonka Bean which remains on the skin for hours. Fabulous is the scent of "effortless luxury". It's sophisticated, modern and has that signature Tom Ford signature that manages to be both classic and avant-garde at the same time. If you love powdery scents but with a firm leather backbone, this is a masterpiece.

I deleted my last review on this here because I wanted to comeback and add a new one. The notes on this one are very common in any other fragrance but the powdery creamy lavender/almond/leather profile of this is unmatched. It's a compliment magnet and I've had a love/hate relationship with this that has messed with my brain. The thing about this one is that I don't actually get to understand the sillage and the actual drydown on my skin but everyone around me has always complimented me on it. Although I don't wear anything for compliments the amount of compliments I get when wearing this is actually absurd. The begining of scent bubble of this one is what I love about it, it's just so creamy and luxurious but I miss on the drydown. All of this is the beauty of Fragrances, to have a love/hate relationship with a product that you know you like is actually a unique experience only designated to Fragrances. I'm gonna add this to my journey but not for this winter I'd rather go through spring with this one. Only in fragrance world you can absolutely hate something and love it again and comeback to it. This is beautiful and worthy of praise.

I absolutely do not understand why this fragrance is considered very niche in the community, only suitable for advanced noses, supposedly polarizing, with an unusual scent profile and whatnot. It's not! It's simply a non-fresh, leathery, slightly sweet, lavender, vanilla, smooth almond, powdery, incredibly beautiful fragrance that is suitable for both men and women, preferably for men, but if it's an intelligent, strong woman, she can wear it without any problems... I would love if it would be a bit sweeter. And as always: don't press your nose against your skin. You have to smell it in the air. Did you know that some fragrances become stronger the more diluted they are? That's definitely the case with FF. Just smell it from a distance and you'll recognize its beauty as a buyer and wearer. That seems to be the problem. The people who rate this fragrance badly smell it from too close, which is a mistake. The people around you don't smell it with their noses pressed against your skin either—or do they? It wouldn't be a Tom Ford bestseller if these fairy tales told by a small group of haters were true. This is a gem.

To keep it as simple as possible, what I get is a warm, powdery herbal barbershop vibe with a creamy, clean Tom Ford leather backbone. The more it dries down, the more it reminds me of Tuscan Leather. Smooth, multidimensional, dark, handsome, regal, but also quite playful and exciting. This has all the attitude it needs to match the name and then some, but I think that a less abrasive name wouldn't hurt it. This isn't juvenile in the slightest, in fact it's quite the opposite. The main drawback here is definitely the price. This has the potential to be a brilliant cold weather & evening signature but it's one of the most expensive offerings in the private blend collection which makes it a tough pill to swallow even by Tom Ford standards, especially when considering that this isn't all that unique. I'd love to see this make its way into the signature line.

The perfumer behind this is Shyamala Maisondieu, the same nose behind Tom Ford Oud Minerale. She seems to love mixing unusual accords. I remember watching an interview with Cecile Zarokian. They made her try different scents from different brands and give her opinion on them. Oud Minerale was her favorite and she kept praising the nose behind it (without knowing who it was). Anyway...back to Fucking Fabulous. In short, i love it! The mixture of clary sage, leather and almonds is brilliant. It's herbal, fresh, warm, dry and slightly sweet at the same time. Easy to wear, versatile and signature worthy in my book! Clary sage has been one of my absolute favorite notes lately. If you love this note, you'll smell it in spades here. Two fabulous thumbs up!

The shitstorm of the fragrance community against this fragrance is from a minority of people. FF wouldn't be a best seller still 8 years after release, in the higher price category of all Tom Ford scents if these negative claims were true. That is the objective fact. My personal impression is, that this is a perfect DNA for my purposes. Not too much radiation, not too loud, it is a very appealing leather vanilla lavender clary sage combination, with a subtle sweetness. Summer, winter or in between. In the office or nights out - it always fits. It is not a freshy, not uber masculine, not annoying, it is also wearable for females. I love that DNA. It makes you smell groomed. It's expensive, true, but that is not Tom Ford's issue.

I love FF so much!!!. I didn't like it so much in the beginning, but then I tested it a few times and it grew on me. It's such an interesting scent combination as it develops over time. I swear it doesn't even smell the same every day, sometimes it evolves into slightly fresher. It's complex and interesting, a dense scent, yet it's migraine friendly for me personally :D (along w Grey Vetiver). Reading the other reviews, it seems like Fucking Fabulous is the koriander of the scents, dividing people. I wear it comfortably and confidently as a woman, successfully eroded whatever norms others have about gendered scents. Maybe showering regularly and smelling good on my own helps with developing a good scent? :P

Ok so I wore this to work today (I’m a surgical tech). We were about to do a surgical procedure and the smell was awful! Necrotic tissue, if you know, you know. So I ran to my locker and put 1 spray on my neck and 1 spray on my mask. I ran back to the room and the first my coworker said was “Omg, you smell good! You smell like a baby!” Lol I thought that was funny. But everybody did say It smelled very good. Im sure the fact that it smelled better than necrotic tissue helped a little too. Anyways, if you want to smell like a clean powdery baby with new lavender scented wipes/diapers this is it. I’m still gonna wear it occasionally though because I do enjoy it. Only worth the travel size for me

After owning a clone of this which I thought was 90% close , I caved in and bought the original. No matter how good of a clone you find the way this sits on the skin cannot be replicated, especially if you are a woman! Any dupes sit too masculine but the original hits just right. I will admit I am slightly disappointed with the performance considering the price... it’s not a beast mode perfume more of a considerate but still there bubble however this scent is so unique to me it’s worth it. I’ll try layer it with some molecule perfume to give it more lasting power. But please , if you’re an outgoing confident woman don’t be shy to try this, truly there is nothing like it.

I tried this fragrance in the store and couldn't stop smelling my wrist for hours afterward. It's totally addictive and fabulous. I had to go back and buy it. Now it's one of my favorite fragrances in my collection and my signature scent. I think it gets so much hate because of its price and name. However, if you disregard all the noise, you'll discover a unique, original perfume of exceptional quality—a creamy leather base, intense but with a certain freshness. The longevity is excellent, and although it doesn't have great sillage, the scent stays with you for most of the day. 9/10

I own a little over 100 perfume bottles — enough to legally qualify as a problem — and I can confidently say: I hate almond notes in perfumes. Like, passionately. But. But. Wait!!! This one hits different. This is next-level. We’re talking dangerously addictive. A dark, sensual leather that’s perfectly smoothed by creamy vanilla and almond — balanced just right — and then finished with this calm, soothing touch of lavender. There’s just something hypnotic about it. Perfectly unisex but leans a touch masculine. Nights out, parties, clubbing. That kind of vibe. It’s a winner!

Absolutely love this stuff. Don’t understand all the hate on this. I don’t get much leather, I get a powdery, smooth, vanilla, cashmere with a tiny bit of floral and woods. It’s a really nice blend of sweet and woody for me. This is a unisex fragrance but I think it leans more masculine and I can’t really see many women wearing this. If you do, all power to you, but I see it a bit masculine. If I could get a 100ml for about 300ish, this would 100% be my signature fragrance Scent is 10/10 Projection/Sillage 8/10 Longevity 8/10

I seem to gravitate toward these Tom Ford leather based fragrances. This is, as the name implies, fucking fabulous. The best way I can describe this is black leather smeared in buttercream frosting complete with sprinkles on top. That almond note is just divine. The contrasts between the dark leather and the powdery orris bolstered with the soft vanilla and bitter almond are just gorgeous! I love it! I'd buy this in a heartbeat if I needed another vanilla fragrance. On the expensive side for sure, but so is all of Tom Ford.

This deserves both F appellations. I resent how much I like this. It’s stupid expensive, complex, manages a smoky note without screamwood (for which I’m grateful), integrates soap, delicious floral, and the green note is genius. It is, alas, gorgeous. The oil knock offs are even really nice, although the original has several more layers of complex aromatic floral and the smoke is subtler. I do not want to have to buy it. The composition is both extraordinary AND beautifully wearable. Drat you Tom Ford! I am shaking my fist.

It’s overpriced but this thing is fabulous. I’ve never smelt something like this. It is true is not for everyone and also that is powdery, while the perfume is not. But it is quality juice and it lasts forever. I don’t like leather scents so maybe that’s why I love this some much. It does remind me of a grape sweetart. A reviewer in YT said it was bear gummies. So I guess there’s something that does make it smell like candy over leather . The perfume is way better but is prohibitively expensive .

I've been trying to figure out what this reminds me of...I come here and someone else has figured it out....Fig Extasy by Mancera. If you've got one, you've got the other. That being said, there's a reason I ended up with two scents that are identical, it really appeals to me. I consider this to be a wet, mild winter/spring day fragrance. I was thinking about wearing it tomorrow, but it's going to be dry and really cold (for Atlanta). I might go in an amber direction instead....

This is a Great Fragrance, Modern, Unique and Complex. I tried it at Sephora store and I must tell you honestly that It is a truly Unique Scent. I don't have any Perfume in my collection similar to Fucking Fabulous. It opens up with a bit sharp herbal, floral and leather notes in the background then dry down is creamy ambery , leathery and woody. It is suitable for cold weather. Longevity is good. Highly Recommended. Two Thumbs Up. Rating : 8.5 / 10
