Fougère Platine

Smelled this 2 months before buying it and not even on skin. Couldn't remember what it smelled like, but the name intrigued me and the reviews had me very interested. This was basically a full 50 mL bottle blind buy on eBay, and I find it a safe one for those interested. The scent is divine! Super "wow" moment for me both times that I've worn it so far (once to bed to test and then today to work). There aren't many fragrances that I think smell really "professional," but this is definitely in that category. Although I'll probably do it sometimes anyway, this doesn't smell like shorts and a T-shirt; it's a Brioni suit... or at least business casual. It's also perfect to go along with your date at a swanky restaurant after work. This is totally "gentleman in a bottle" as I'd like to call it. It's not a soft floral; it's masculine without being some form of stench-y or at all generic clean. Totally fit for a king! To me, it's almost edible--kind of gourmand, like a chocolate note of some sort. Maybe I'm crazy. The lavender sits in the backseat to me while everything else is driving, but it's still ever-present and asking "Are we there yet?" occasionally. I get tobacco (but not a dirty one), mixed perfectly with this beautiful wood--primarily cedar to me. The color of this is a dark shade of British racing green, as it's got some green notes that tie wonderfully. It may not be a compliment getter (usually just super fresh scents are, at least here in Mississippi), but I can almost guarantee that people are gonna think that you're smelling good! Fall is probably the best season for it, but I'll wear it year-round with no issue. It's versatile enough for that. The scent rides through humidity with great projection. Performance is great! Just half a spray is quite strong with above average longevity. It became a strong skin scent for me with nearly a full spray on the wrist after about 6-8 hours today. Before that, it was radiating probably about 3-5 feet or so. I showered 11 hours later, and now after 14 hours I can still FAINTLY smell it on my wrist. When you almost exclusively shop niche and high-end fragrances, you begin to get a little bored/jaded with what's out there. It takes something very special to capture my attention like this has, and I'm very fortunate to have it! I've bought about 20 fragrances the past year, and this is in the top 5 for sure--perhaps top 3. 10/10 scent (maybe masterpiece and a jewel in the TF collection), 9/10 sillage, 9.5/10 longevity (wish it projected longer). Edit: wore this to church recently, and in the car on the way, my girlfriend got a headache because the two sprays I put on were just too potent. Go easy!

I made the mistake of overlooking Fougère d'Argent & Fougère Platine when they first came out in 2018. By the time I was in the market for some more Tom Ford, Beau De Jour had just been released at the start of 2019, & I instantly went for the big bottle. Absolutely love it. But WOW, did I miss out on a couple great scents. Even with giving them a test wear, my expectations - or better put, my preconceived notions - clearly ruined my first impressions of both d'Argent & Platine. Revisiting my samples, both are fantastic & worth owning alongside BDJ. I love all 3 & to me, they each fit a mood, although they're entirely interchangeable to suit yours. All 3 are going to be general crowd-pleasers. D'Argent is the safest but it's a bit deceptive. It really evolves a lot & while it doesn't strike the wearer as potent, it is. It projects more than you realize & even 8 hours in with a couple sprays on each arm, I'm getting wafts of wood, citrus & lavender, even though it seems like it's down to a skin scent when sniffed directly. Definitely agree with the comment about this being along the lines of a ADP fragrance, in a very good way. Platine is more herbaceous & bracing, or "cooling". It's probably the hardest to quit sniffing of the 3. The blend is just fantastic & so soothing. A bit more "serious" than d'Argent, Platine strikes me as mature, confident & sexy... Perfect for the office, a date, or dinner with friends. That leaves Beau De Jour (in my case, the Private Blend version) as the screamer. It's definitely the most unapologetic one of the trio. I absolutely love it & get tons of compliments on it... But if you appreciate BDJ, you'd probably love Platine & d'Argent, too... Admittedly, you may need a couple wears to realize it, but at least you'll smell great doing it. IMO all 3 are safe blind buys. As fougeres they're masculine leaning but they all smell so good I'm sure some women will love wearing these, too. All 3 are clean & fresh with some edge & clever twists to them. It's straight to FB's + backups for me. 3 excellent releases... TF is on the right track with these.

Tom Ford's line of Fougères including Beau de Jour are what I consider professional fragrances for men. Fougère Platine is the best Fougère in his lineup and also the most underrated. To me, this is the perfect office scent for someone aged 25-50. This is a multi-season fragrance with one to two sprays only being necessary for the summer months with the lavender, green and citrus notes giving it enough lightness for the humidity. The tobacco, woodsy and olibanum accords give it depth for the colder months and also anchor this fragrance for a massive sillage and duration that's around 10-12 hours, which is something one should demand when shelling over $250+ for an eau de parfum. Having tried Fougère d'Argent, the most promoted fougère, it maybe lasts 5-6 hours if you're lucky; with Beau de Jour cracking around 8 hours tops. This fragrance, however, isn't for everyone, if you're a guy under 25ish especially unaccomplished, this parfum simply outranks you giving you the appearance of a pretender. This is a 25+, tailored suit or business casual, office scent, also suitable for a post-work happy-hour rendez-vous. This has become my preferred year-round signature office/professional scent. Lastly, I'm thrilled this isn't promoted as Fougère d'Argent or Beau de Jour, given I wouldn't want everyone to smell like me. Easily a 10/10 in almost every category. Platinum Fern indeed!

Not a typical fougere such as Beau De Jour. I can clearly detect the Vert D'Encens dry down (which means a lot of chocolate/vanilla incense) mixed with clary sage which gives some metallic character akin to Noir Anthracite, it stays a bit linear on my skin, feeling more and more airy as time goes by. It's nice but I am not sure if it worth having it if you have Vert D'Encens (or vice versa). Anyway both of them are discontinued so I think they will become the new private blend unicorns and the price will sky rocket soon. Really nice scent, really interesting and worth trying. Tom Ford was really creative here (not sure if he still is, scent wise), even if he was repeating himself a bit. I revisited this beauty today, I rarely leave a second review on a scent but today I felt like doing it. I appreciate Fougere Platine as time goes by more and more, it is so classy, well built and feels really expensive. I was thinking why Tom Ford discontinued this one so soon after its release, I guess that whatever doesn't sell very well get axed in order to make room for his new releases - which feel less niche and more mainstream lately. The honey note works so well here, feels like the one that connects everything together. The scent is linear, has great longevity and projection. I get the comparisons to Kouros and L'Envol, I can imagine mixing those two together and getting something really close to Fougere Platine actually. I am sure that every well dressed gentleman would love to smell like that. Huge love from me.

Artistic, with all the masculine punch you'd expect from a fougere, but not without offering a unique twist. It's quite strong on application. There is a metallic element to it, as others have said, but it doesn't seem that invasive or overpowering to me. It compliments everything else going on quite well - such as the slight sweetness, which lends it some credit in distinguishing itself from the masses of the genre. I find it a novel blend to be honest. On one hand, you have the serious, green elements of a typical fougere, but there is a sublte, playful side to this fragrance as well. I understand why it seems to be a hit or miss, but for me, it's the former. This is discontinued and I'm glad to have a 100ml bottle. It's an easy reach whenever I want a reliable, masculine scent.

This is such a wonderful fougere that brings a few notes not seen in these types of scents. I love all three of the TF Fougeres but this one is the furthest from shaving cream as you get a very herbal opening with a hint of tobacco that eventually dries into a masculine metallic lavender. The hint of honey thats present throughout evokes gold, essentially the 'platinum' fougere notes being drenched in honey and glistening gold. Very modern take on fougere and a instant masculine classic. It kind of reminds me of Chanel PE to a degree but just done better with something extra that makes this special. Extremely underrated scent and one of my favorite uses of honey.

I am truly heartbroken that this bottle is no longer available in Japan. I find Platine to be overwhelmingly superior to Fougere D'Argent. In addition to its classic fougere structure, this fragrance carries a metallic and dark elegance that feels entirely contemporary. It opens with a cool and luminous quality, true to its name, with artemisia and clary sage shining like platinum from the top notes, followed by a long lasting bitter texture of lavender, labdanum, and frankincense. I cannot fathom why it was discontinued. This bottle was, at the very least, a magnificent fougere worthy of a lifetime of wear.

I once was at a concert of a friend of mine, in an open space and was wearing this fragrance. I sprayed this 2 hours before arriving at the concert. My friend was on the stage preparing his instrument, at like 7-8 m. and he spoted me. He stared at me for 5 seconds then came down from the stage and told me that he could smell my fragrance from the stage. This is how this fragrance works in the open spaces.

It is quite an original scent, even among the fougere family! I like it quite a bit as i am wearing it for the firs time today. I am really enjoying Tom Ford' fougere offering: D'Argent, Beau de Jour and now Platine. I would say that Platine is probably the hardest to get into as it is quite polarizing. It is probably the least easily wearable and original of the three.

Love it. Smells classy and expensive. My first and only fougere so far. I don't think any other fougere can compare to this (which is why I'm hesitant to seek another one). I too will write letters and shed tears with Vincents1278 when mine is gone because this is a versatile masterpiece. I will use mine respectfully like the precious elixir it is.

It's gorgeous. It's slightly spicy, vegetative, and very dark. It's an intense dark masculine perfume with very pronounced beautiful notes. Sage and artemisia are very interesting notes that add a gin-tonic like quality to this perfume. I do not feel any metallic notes at all!

Just picked up a sample of this one, it’s hard to describe. It’s somewhere between Aberdeen Lavender and Beach Hut Man. I personally am in love with the lavender-absinthe combo, so I will be picking up a bottle in the near future.

This smells very much like a mix of Tom Ford's Noir Anthracite, Italian Cypress and Vert d'Encens and yet it has it's beautiful own character!

Tried this out today for the first time in years. This now to me, smells like Dior Sauvage + Absinthe in the best way. Very nice!

I love this scent... If people don’t like this scent, they got a problem. It’s smooth and sophisticated. Grown man scent.

Slightly metallic fougere. Will leave you smelling clean all day, even if you are sweating in July. Soapy.

Fougere's don't get much better then this. An absolute classic one of my top 3 of all time.

Tom Ford - the brand and the man - have never run short of things to say about the retro aesthetics of yesteryear. Fougere Platine is one of the brand's (handful of) musings on the classic barbershop fougere genre. Perhaps it is only me, but this perfume almost feels like it's meant to be a joke; a fun, playful, self-deprecating take on a genre meant to represent the clean, crisp, serious but not stuffy, well-groomed man. The lavender note played in this perfume turns far away from any of the aromatic, oily, and floral qualities it can sometimes have to solely be bone-dry and herbaceous, and we are given an ample dose of sage to drive the point home. But then some artemisia and honey, really rather unserious and lighthearted sweet notes, are swirled into this retro mix's bowl. There are, of course, notes of bergamot and woods, particularly cedar, but it's the touches of olibanum and labdanum injected into the base to make sure the perfume doesn't lose the elegant feel that great barbershop fougeres should have. If it weren't for the honey and artemisia, this would likely come across as a very serious, tight, and modern rendition of the genre, but the notes of artemisia and honey add such a light-hearted juxtaposition to the rest of the perfume I'm almost certain the perfume is aware it's making a joke. Or, maybe this is a dandy that doesn't realize he's a bit foolish. Either way, it's an enjoyable take that is very much worth pursuing for those who love this genre.

Darker and spicy opening with the basil, lavender and clary sage. In the mid it's ambery and resinous with labdanum giving a leathery and dry cacao vibe. Not a lot going on in terms of depth, however, overall, into the drydown this is a warm and spicy scent with some tobacco and woods. Tobacco is light, perhaps a blonde tobacco. Unisex but leans masculine. Spring/Fall Day wear. Office friendly. You can go heavy on the sprays

The labdanum is doing interesting things here - at first it came off as almost raspberry-like, then soapy, then finally settled into the resin it truly is, all in g first hour. I fear the final iteration is my least favorite because I'm not a huge fan of resinous incense in fragrances but it's definitely a unique evolution.

Underrated, versatile, and elegant are the three adjectives to describe this fragrance. Although Platine is not as interesting, I do prefer this scent profile to Beau De Jour and Fourgere d’ Argent. Sillage is just OK, but longevity is decent.

This is a niche version of Versace Dylan Blue. I do like it but for the price you'd be better off with Dylan Blue. Fougère Platine does have more depth and better quality than Dylan Blue but Dylan Blue last longer and projects better.

Green herbal really bitter green fougère. Nice but not quite something I’d wear, at least not often. On skin it lasted about two hrs but well over twelve in clothings. Close to skin sillage for personal bubble of scent.

A really stunning mix of herbal top with a sweet tobacco+incense heart over woods. I think Beau de Jour is still the best fougere TF put out so far, but this is a very close second for me.

Alone, this scent is too 'youthfully' masculine for me. Paired with Shanghai Lily and it's a late night visit to a smokey little cafe for an illicit rendezvous.

Fougere Platine smells like Versace Dylan Blue mixed with Vert D'Encens. End of story.

Lavender, Clary Sage, Basil and mild bergamot - very real. This open passed quite fast rushy in transit into Heart. The Heart is Honey, is it not those artificial honey but lustrous warp everything in together. Olibanum & Spanish Labdanum give mild sweet profile, somehow come across fresh new leathery. but also green soapy on me. (but not really an expensive soap one). Transiting to base is seamlessly, you even don't notice when the Tobacco comes to play Tobacco in this is not dark tobacco, the same they use Tobacco blossom in BLV. It reminisces of Tobacco but not actual one. This tobacco has green edge on it. And also, I smell mild Sauvage-like in the base too. This Fougère smells very shinning slivery to me. It is reminds me of the night time of sophisticate city. Strangely, I think of Singapore's night time. it's time tame and timid but quite powerful and serious underneath. This fragrance smells higher quality one and you can feel by smell. This have formal suite and tie on it label, Night out after long-working day. Attending the court, Meeting VIP anything that you want to smell shinning but polite and tame. I think this can be used as far as moaning event because of clean smoky / tobacco in it. It's smell like corporate or any formal event that you wants to be professional. Is this can be used on Auspicious event (?)... If you wants just to smell formal it's fine. If you run across this for 50 ml., you are sufficient to smell professional the rest of your life. It's smell great but the smell kinda lacks happiness somehow.. (?) I now reserved Aromatic Fougere for improtant event only (as I believe, Aromatic Fougere (Lavender Centric with Herbaceous note give impression of formality). I now collect only Beau de Jour & Fougère Platine (50 ml.) each, I barely wear in general but I am appreciate the profile. If I could re-assay my experience and personal thought. this is quite an aim for them. But unfortunately doesn't reach that current audience. A bit Shame, because in my humble thought. Fougere Platine smells very modern (please bare with me first). This is double twist fragrance; first being modernize of Paco Rebanne Pour Homme (1973) with emphasis more on Ashy / Brown Tobacco side. Mel in this provide the certain sweetness (no acidic) of easy wear experience and additional Sliver Mild Metallic Amber base merge with top that use traditional Fougere profile (Lavender + few other aromatic note). Second; It is not herbaceous as traditional Fourgere (using one that Lot of Aromatic note) and Dry down powdery (using coumarin), this use Amber and Ashy Tobacco as base. The ashy, smoky tobacco woody-amber in base; somewhat reminds me the way Bleu de Chanel use incense note to make their fragrance mystery, city night vibe still remains. So I would like to direct this as true Hybrid Fougere being Both Amber Fougere & Aromatic Fougere (and glimps of being Tobacco-Honey territory) at the same time. Ahead of it times, if you ask me. People just don't enjoy herbaceous in general, even it is short while. And this is definitely not a top note catcher, it need time to develop become relaxing ashy sweet tobacco one. People just embrace Amber Fougere due to it loud, top note catcher character. However, even I love how what they aim for and the blending is top notch. It just doesn't scream new or innovate being both due to Genre and Note. But I can now give 8/10 solid score. As this truly try to combine the best of both world. If anyone afraid to try, please do not. But my gentle reminder would be - You must into a herbal Fougere. - You must enjoy Tobacco. - Think this sort of amber fougere fragrance. Also, 2018 is a time that market shift from Complex scent to Niche Linear cute one (think of MFK, MCD) this is might be a true last smooth blend collection from Tom Ford for collector. For good character of how Amber Fougere should be; you may look at LeMale line. I think I will venture Oreintal Amber Fougere, might be Eau Noire. I still insist that Fougere structure is important any Fragrance Collection as this provide clean feel to the wearer, in slightly more formal manner.

The Aromatic Fougere is my favorite genre, but I have some issues with Fougere Platine. The bitterish, herbal accord formed by the Artimesia and Tobacco notes is, well, bitter, imparting an astringency that is a bit challenging. But it IS interesting and a bit unique in the genre due to these notes, but my favorite Tobacco Fougere is probably Fougere Nobile by Nobile 1942. Fougere Platine is 3rd and last in my collection of Tom Ford's Fougere trilogy of Beau de Jour, Fougere D'Argent and Platine. I have all three.

It's a decent enough fougere, but for the price, you can do so much better, in quality, scent profile, performance, etc....

The best Tom Ford perfume. In the top 5 fougere fragrances for sure.

There is no lift here, no height; it’s almost the hoarseness of Invasion Barbare, strange. Platine feels like Ford’s move towards true barber roughness, but even here there is no air—just crawling bitterness. There is definitely more lavender air in Beau de Jour, and Argent has a more interesting oriental story. So this is neither Floris Elite nor Azzaro pour homme. This is a real brute without lavender; it will be interesting to see what it turns into, because it must turn into something. The first hesitations and attempts at normality are visible. The unbelievable roughness persists. I don’t know why make such a scent; it seems Tom Ford wanted to close the fougère topic but couldn’t decide completely. So he went in several directions and considered the matter closed. I think it’s a very bold move to create such bitterness—this scent was probably used in a Tom Ford ad, which is particularly surprising—it’s very, very bitter and attacks with that bitterness. Nonetheless, it’s the kind of fragrance that if someone feels it and wants it, it can give a lot back. It adds balls you need to have, and then it’s cool—like for a very mature man. Platine is Tom Ford unleashed to a greater degree than Frederic Malle Dries Van Noten. Not for me. It softens only after a long time; then it becomes an undecided d’Argent.

Poured some from a TF sample vial on my skin. You can sense metallic, but it is not platine. It is rather silver, like the back of the fish that is arranged on the tray of a fishmonger storefront. Now, imagine collecting the smelly, fishy water of the melted ice of the tray, mixed with fish scales and pouring it in a fancy TF bottle. That's what comes to my mind when I smell this on my skin. The piercing and disturbing top notes, remain until the end. Although is a tough word, I selected "hate". This might be due to my skin composition or I might not have the nose to appreciate the final result, which is strange, because FFabulous has almost the same top notes according to fragnatica, yet I loved it (while many others hate it, but possibly to its pricing and tongue in cheek marketing). From me, is a big no.

I have a large bottle of this and when I found out it was discontinued, I cried a little. Glad I got the large bottle. This is classic fougere with an update. So herbal up top, then earthy and resinous, but dark and still herbal through the middle and to the base. Maybe it's the tobacco or the sage, maybe it's just in my head. I've smelled a lot of individual extracts in the past, because I thought I was a junior perfumer and bought a ton of stuff from botanical sellers. So I can pick out the notes of a lot of perfumes. This one is so well blended it's kind of hard to pick out individual things. Like all the best Tom Ford (Love you Mr Ford) this is dirty in the best way. Love when classic scents get a dirty, earthy update and Tom Ford does it so well. I really miss Italian Cypress (I think that's what it was called) because it reminded me of old barber shop aftershaves like Brut, but so much better. That's what this does for me. It's like Polo but so much more. Classic, updated, dirty twist. I'll wear this til the bottle is empty, then I'll break the bottle open and wipe out whatever drops are left and then cry some more about it being discontinued. If you don't love this I can't be your friend. Longevity is insane. If you love it, shed a tear with me. We can write letters to Tom and ask for it to come back.

Wonderful!! If you’re a fan of memoir man or absinth by Nasomatto, you will love this. The wormwood resinous thing going on in this is very much along those lines. As that is one of my favorite scent profiles, this is a massive home run for me. This briefly opens with the lavender barbershop thing that tom ford has done well in several perfumes, but within 10 minute on my skin, it moves into the absinthe territory. It dances on the line of mature and old school for just a fleeting moment, and then shifts firmly into a modern aromatic woody scent. The anise coumarin leather combo in the heart is mixed perfectly. There’s got to be a lot of naturals in here. Sometimes just before the dry down, I’ll get a touch of powdered honey and tobacco. Again, with anise underneath that. The dry down then shows itself. Another stunning phase for me as I get a dusty, cedary, olibanum. Almost smelling grey ash from burnt incense. Fougere Platine is for the Tom Ford niche fans. The ones who like the more artistic heavier scents from the house like vert d’encens, Tobacco Oud, or Plum Japanois. There are a few bottles of this left out there for decent prices. I’ve seen a few around 250$ at the time of this review. If you’re into the perfumes listed in this review, I’d grab a bottle before they’re gone.

This is a fougere that merges classical with modern and puts emphasis on notes that are typically supporting rather than lead roles. The clary sage and artemisia are more pronounced. However, that isn't to say they "steal" the scene, as there is a great chemistry with the lavender and honey, rendering a glistening, almost metallic sheen: gilded and fuzzy fern bracts. Clary sage blends seamlessly with tobacco (as it does famously); if you have ever smelled the solvent-extracted clary sage absolute, it is so similar to the smell of cured tobacco leaves, far more so than any tobacco absolute. The sillage is lustrous, at each turn I receive a reward of aromatics and noble manly cleanness, but it no way desperately screams "fresh", a human warmth is extended through the honey and resinous base notes. It breathes cool and composed, is tactful and debonaire, but it knows its heart belongs in the forest deep, and wonders if the great Tom Ford himself would even venture into the deep with him. This is one of the creations from Tom Ford that transcends all the coarse tropes and discomfiting humor of the private line; of course it's discontinued, go figure.

Fougére Platine, discontinued TF, 2018 Kudos for an unusual approach to an Aromatic Fougére, pronouncing herbaceous and bitter qualities alike through Artemesia, Sage and Basil, while letting Lavendar take the backseat. Labdanum and Tobacco (leaves in particular) give this a layer of cool dry earthiness while Honey and Olibanum act as sumptuous adhesives in the structure. What's peculiar and perhaps ingenious is this sensation of a metallic sheen that I can't help shake off. What a curious thing to bring out with mostly green materials. In its most extreme, I happen upon the suggestion of Blood. How eerie. This quiet and composed metallic herbal Fougére was destined to be discontinued the moment it hit the shelves. My initial response to this was a mix of bewilderment with the scent and dismay with its unimposing (for a TF) presence. It took multiple wears for me to be accustomed to its dry greenness and for me to be cognizant of the subtleties and balances striked amidst its myriad ingredients. I'm not too familiar with what clary sage smells like. It's not the most common note in perfumery. Fragrantica describes it as a "bracing herbaceous scent that smells like lavender with leathery and amber nuances". All that is here in FP. I can easily pick out lavender and some woody notes. Tobacco is probably in the mix too. Olibanum gives it a bit of a smokey vibe. Smells like an old timey perfume. Think Azzaro Pour Homme or Quorum. I get the comparisons to Vert d'Encens FP is masculine but a lady could wear it. Probably better in cooler weather and okay for work. Performance is disappointing. Even with five or six sprays from my sample it was pretty soft. Composition wise it's not very exciting either. I don't even have to look at the price to know this is expensive. TF fragrances are hit or miss with me. More often they're a miss... I can't recommend this one.

The immediate opening is remarkably similar to Vert d’Encens, however this quickly fades and woody, cedar notes take over. I get the Fougère-ness of it, but after 30 minutes this is really just a woody fragrance with a slight hint of something nutty. Overall I quite like it, it is definitely a classic masculine scent, but again, like many of his recent releases, I can't help but think "oh, this again." Don't get me wrong - it is a beautifully crafted perfume, but there's no denying that it is nothing revolutionary or different. If I were forced to choose, D'Argent would be my favourite of the two Fougère releases. Would I purchase either one? No.

On me it's mostly fresh artemisia, dry tobacco and honey, smoothly blended and well kept in a shiny, thin metallic container. This is in my humble opinion the least "fougere" in the Fougere collection and the most original and interesting one to wear. I personally don't see much resemblance to Vert d'Encens, which on me is much greener, thicker and more incensy without any metallic touch. If this has to be similar to anything then I'd say L'envoi Cartier EDT for the strong artemisia and honey combo. But obviously Fougere Platine is much more complex with the added lavender, basil and tobacco.

Actually not bad. The honey note here is similar to the kind found in Trussardi Uomo. Its not sweet, but just works as a silky layer that wraps everything together gently. Overall, its green, bitter, and somewhat woody. The olibanum feels out of place here, but it makes the entire thing interesting. I absolutely love the dry down though, soft elegant lavender, tobacco and artemsia with a bit of honey - the combination becomes a classy affair. Performance could be better.

I really like the direction that Tom Ford is going with the recent releases. I've had a chance to try the three most recent fougere themed fragrances. Platine is probably my favorite one. They somehow managed to take the mature vibe and add youthfulness to it. This might be one of the first all ages type of fougeres out there. 10/10

This reminds me of something LAP would have in their lineup next to Timbuktu and Dzongkha. Side notes: There’s a muted root type scent here... coupled with a warmth touch from the honey and dryness from the tobacco. The dry-down of this fragrance is one of my favorites in all of perfumery. It only makes sense it was discontinued.

I deleted my older, positive review because I finally got to try this on skin and I have fallen out of love... On my skin, I get an unbearable Parmesan cheese note that overpowers everything else. It smells like Parmesan cheese- scented shaving cream. Absolutely horrific on my skin. Definitely sample before buying.

I started loving every tom ford frag people suggested to me but this one ends that honeymoon phase. This one smells like a freshly open bucket of paint, then as it dries down the paint gets sweeter, It's not unwearable but there's MUCH better options out there.

Bracing sage and lavender notes that form a classic manly man aftershave smell. Not surprised that it was discontinued, but still saddened. Smells better on clothes than on skin for me at least. Another masculine-leaning TF fragrance gets the ax.

Heard so much hype about this one. Got my sample from DecantX a few days ago. I get the clary sage in the opening. Dries down is slightly dark and dirty. I feel like you could mix Beau De Jour with Drakkar Noir and get the same result.

In a way, it does smell very similar to Vert D'Encens in the opening but I would say this has a bit more earthiness to it, whereas Vert almost has this bright, minty like smell to it, at least to my nose.

Dark and smoky fougere, shame it don`t last more than 3-4 hours on my skin. Anyone else have longevity problems with this one ? I really like it but just don`t perform, turns so quickly into a skin scent
