Grey Vetiver

(Comparison of the EdP and the Parfum) The masculine vetiver-forward perfume is a cornerstone of modern perfumery. Every major house has one, and many if not the majority of small and niche houses as well. Why? Well probably for the same reason it’s a staple in many cultures for aromatic household uses and religious uses: it’s a chameleon of an aroma, and it just plain smells great - likely working-on some primal parts of our olfactory system that ensures we are guaranteed to respond to it and, almost without fail, in a positive way. Tom Ford confused us with Black Orchid, then released For Men and the Private Blend line, which helped clear-up a lot of questions regarding the brand’s creative direction for its perfumes, and then to seal the directive and remove all doubt released Grey Vetiver. I make this statement like I am paraphrasing the brand or speaking for them, but I am not; this is solely my interpretation. The brand - clearly to me, anyway - wants to give us the old guard of modern perfumery in a new way with a bit of modern synthetic edge and Tom Ford opulence and trashiness. However, the latter descriptors are curiously absent from Grey Vetiver. Grey Vetiver is a straight and modern homage to that masculine cornerstone. The EdP opens with lemons, grapefruit, and neroli. Shockingly cold, bitter, sour, juicy, acrid, and metallic, these notes are helped along by a prominent cold, earthy, pale green sage note. The vetiver immediately begins pushing up from the heart and base, but it doesn’t present as green aromatic, swampy, or even woody, but rather coming across as... well... silvery - not gray - thanks to the supporting notes that actually act more as the stars of the perfume than the vetiver does. Like Encre Noir wanting to present vetiver in a very new direction as black, Grey Vetiver wants to be gray, though these bright metallic edges bring more of a silvery sheen. In the Parfum the opening is quite different. It has a more convincing orange blossom opening, not neroli, that smells almost boozy like a much brighter version of Grand Marnier. Sharp aldehydes give an almost alcohol-heat texture. The hay-like, deadpan floral, and woody saffron is responsible for a lot of this effect, presenting an almost fresh-oak-barrel aging facet to the orange blossom. Once the opening calms down the orange blossom is allowed to go in a slightly sweeter, juicier, and more floral direction, which only makes the orange liqueur association even stronger in my mind. There is something about it that is a bit “colorless”; gray. This is more gray than the EdP, the latter coming across as bright silver. The Parfum’s photonic energy is a lot more restrained than the EdP. Going into the heart and base layers, with the EdP a starchy and powdery orris carries the brief in the heart layer. It is dry yet very clean, almost like a powdered soap without being all that floral in nature. The vetiver makes more of a green-aromatic appearance at the base, never losing that silvery sheen, with a good dose of evernyl for damp, lively, and woody moss. In typical TF style the Parfum is much more minimalist. When TF approach their parfum concentrations, without fail, they approach with “less is more” - and they follow the same modus operandi here. It is more simplistic than the EdP, but it doesn’t suffer for it, letting very wise choices for materials and accords presentations do the work rather than trying aim for “great” via more complexity. The saffron steers this vetiver in a much more light-woody direction than the EdP, and it keeps getting woodier the closer it gets to a skin scent. The EdP has an energetic brightness, like the glint of light off of polished silver, and it is almost jarring but in a pleasant way. Clean, cool, bright, easily wearable yet opulent in its saturation, and a splendidly modern take on the classic vetiver perfume. The Parfum is far more regal and elegant than the EdP, and much more closely aligns with the classic presentations of vetiver with its woody dry down and skin scent. However, it still achieves the brief and still smells convincingly modern; it smells “gray”. I don’t pull any swampy green aromatics common to vetiver, and though I pull woods it is not green woody or even white or black woody (throwing back another reference to Encre Noir). Somehow in the Parfum’s deadpan colorlessness it still smells elegant and classy. Perhaps then the Parfum is like a gray suit: it might be safe and plain, it will never offend anyone and is wearable everywhere, but it still looks custom made by a world-class tailor. In another interesting twist, I find both of these to be sufficiently different enough that owning a bottle of each would not be redundant if both call to you. The EdP’s bright and boisterous nature works in all settings, but it will probably work best in the daytime and informal settings when you feel like you have some pep in your step. The Parfum is going to be more suitable for cooler weather wearing, and/or formal occasions or date nights when restraint is better called for. Both are great, with one bright and energetic silver, and the other rich and elegant gray. Every silver lining has a touch of gray.... I don’t know where I’m going with that, but for some reason I can’t shake it from my head.

Right, fresh story. No script, just off the cuff. Pure philosophy. So, I’m in the staff room, right? Just chilling out, drinking a cup of coffee, showing the team that I’m not just an authority figure in a suit—I’m a friend first, boss second, probably entertainer third. And Tim Canterbury looks at me and says, "David, why do you bother? Why stay in Slough?" I leaned back. Looked him dead in the eye. Deep. I said, "My world does not end with these four walls. Slough’s a big place. When I’ve finished with Slough, there’s Reading, Aldershot, Bracknell. Didcot, Yateley. You know. Winnersh. Taplow. Because I am my own boss. Burghfield." Then Finchy walks in. Big Chris Finch. Instantly reads the room. He looks at my Tom Ford bottle, looks at me, and goes, "Fucking hell, Brent. You smell like a fancy dynamic vicar who’s about to sedate a choirboy." He’s terrible! Absolutely mental. No filter. I laughed it off. I said, "It’s clean, Finchy. It opens with grapefruit and orange blossom, then dries down to a rich, woody oakmoss. It’s sophisticated." Finchy leans over Dawn’s desk, winks at her, and shouts across the room, "I’ll tell you how sophisticated it is. I bet if David wore that to a local authority planning meeting, the mayor would let him build a multi-story car park right on top of his wife’s grave just to get a closer sniff. It’s a violation of the senses!" Right... obviously we don't joke about municipal corruption or desecration of graves, HR-wise that’s a bit of a minefield... but within a creative bullpen environment, it’s... it’s just boundary-pushing. It’s modern. 9/10

I love this stuff. On my skin, I really only get the grapefruit and lemon notes, with an ever-so-slight hint of woodiness. Citric and stronger performance than most freshies -- perfectly what I am looking for, with the warm seasons approaching. Contrary to Fragrantica's representation of the scent profile, "woody" is NOT the dominant accord of Grey Vetiver. Citrus is, by a wide margin, at least, to my senses. I suppose one might almost call it a barbershop fragrance, but I wouldn't put it in that category. Others, like definitely TF Beau du Jour, smell like shaving cream and are straight-up barbershop. Not Grey Vetiver, to my nose. I'm surprised at all the negative reviews about Grey Vetiver because the one negative I find is that it's almost too safe -- clean and inoffensive, almost to the point where you feel the need to layer it with something else to give it some complexity in the opening and heart. I imagine I will be layering it at times with Molecule 01 or something primarily woody or leathery. And yet, even my wife has said that she does not like the smell of Grey Vetiver. Coupled with the negative reviews, I'm compelled to think that vetiver is a polarizing accord. Everyone's noses seem to process etiver in wildly different ways, much like cilantro, where some people absolutely love it and others absolutely hate it and everyone gives completely different descriptions of what they smell and taste. Strange for me to say it because of how safe I think this fragrance is, but it does not appear to be blind-buy safe and should be tested first.

For those seeking a longer-lasting option, exploring the Parfum version might be worthwhile. Currently, this fragrance requires a midday reapplication, which could be seen as a drawback, particularly given its price point. While it is available at discounted rates, I wouldn't recommend spending more than $125.00 on it. A 50 ml bottle should suffice for business meetings, social gatherings, and dinner parties—occasions where you want to be noticed without overwhelming those around you. This fragrance delivers precisely what it promises, which I find refreshing in a market where many scents overpromise and underdeliver. It's a reliable everyday option for the discerning gentleman willing to invest in quality. For those on a tighter budget, sticking with Hermès will still provide an excellent experience.

Wonderfully boring. That sounds like an insult, but I mean it in the best possible way. Great for work. Clean and refined. I was not much of a fan the first time I wore it, but with subsequent wears I've come to really appreciate it for what it is. It's inoffensive and fairly subtle. It seems to sit very close to your body, to the point where most people around you may not even detect it unless they're closer than an arm's length. Even then, I feel like it may not register as a fragrance to someone who's not into fragrance. It could be taken for a nice smelling soap or deodorant. To me, that's the beauty of it. It is gentlemanly and subdued. Consummately professional. Longevity is around the 8-hour range at most. Sillage, as mentioned, is pretty limited. Not subtle to the point where no one will notice it, but definitely on the subtler side of moderate. I would say there's roughly an hour of decent projection. I would consider this to be a good year-round wear. This runs around the $120 range for a 3.4 oz at resellers from what I've seen. That's probably the highest I would even be willing to pay. With that, it's not high on my list for getting a full bottle. I would definitely like to, but there are a lot of other things more moderately priced and versatile ahead of it. To me, this fragrance accomplishes something very specific. A professional scent ideal for the office. If that's what you're looking for, this is a great fit.

I haven't worn this since I was 25 (12 years ago), and frankly that's a huge error in my life. This is a modern masterpiece, unsung, which just didn't cement itself in time in the rollercoaster world that is 21st Century Perfumery. My girlfriend at the time said she'd wear it, and a few girls at the deli I managed would constantly ask what I was wearing. Over the last 12 years that's up there with the most organically given compliments a scent has gotten from the opposite sex. So... Departing from the delusion that this will make girls fall in love with you (swooned by a bottle of perfume any other man can buy), what does this smell like? Will you enjoy it? Dry wood/hay. Salt. Citrus pith, orange. Warm comforting nutmeg. White soapy backbone. The quality of blend is exceptional. It's perfect for any occasion, and it flirts the line between "safe & clean" and Old Money. Best suited for warmer times, you might be mistaken for a serial killer if you wear this in winter. If a niche house released this today it'd be an instant cult classic, but sadly the Tom Ford brand pollutes most people's enjoyment of it. Terrible shame, it's a knockout. 9/10.

Grey Vetiver is a staple in my collection when I want something that is clean and fresh. Vetiver is a note I used to not love but as time has gone on I have come to truly love and enjoy the rather soapy quality it has. Grey Vetiver plays into this really well. Whenever I describe this fragrance to people I always come back to the word "clean" as I feel it truly encapsulates the aromatic and green notes the best. It doesn't smell super grassy to my nose. I mostly get a bright, sharp, clean freshness. The citrus notes on top come through at the start and it eventually settles into a soapy, clean, easy to wear fragrance. You can snag this for a really good price on discounters these days and I typically get a good 6 to 7 hours of wear from it, 8 to 10 as a skin scent. If you do not enjoy Vetiver as a note, this will obviously not be for you. If you like green fragrances that are more grassy than aromatic, this also won't really be for you. If you need a fresh, soapy, clean fragrance to daily drive during warmer weather, this is a solid option for sure.

As a guy in his early 20s it definitely smells nostalgic, like I smelt it a lot when I was younger, so accidentally "rediscovering" it a few weeks ago whilst visiting a Tom Ford counter was a pleasant surprise. It's a classic example of a refined, mature and classy scent, it has the freshness and cleanness of the grapefruit, with a little spicy kick from the pepper that give it a nice zingy almost cooling effect, with a nice and smooth orris base accentuated by a masculine mossy woodiness in the core of its DNA. Honestly very solid stuff and the wearing experience even more so, this would be really good as an office fragrance or a daily driver for a more mature gentleman, I myself absolutely love the scent profile but I'm not sure most of my age group necessarily would, that aside I confidently believe that it's timeless and this fragrance would never go out of style. Leans very masculine, good for any day outside of winter and projects nicely with around 5 hours longevity. Nostalgic, refined, timeless Perfumery. 8.3/10

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver is a refined and elegant scent that exudes freshness, making it an excellent choice for warmer weather. This may be disappointing for those looking for a stronger presence throughout the day. The fragrance is sophisticated and leans more towards mature audiences rather than younger ones. While the smell is undeniably beautiful, the performance doesn't fully justify the high price tag, making it a bit of a luxury for those who prioritize longevity and projection in their fragrances.

I've tried just about every popular vetiver-prominent fragrance (except for the Rojas, and I'm excluding TDH in this group as I consider that citrus-dominant), and I've come to the conclusion that Grey Vetiver (EDP) is the Gold Standard, the Platonic Ideal, of vetiver colognes. The OG GV finds the perfect balance of being woody, grassy, a little sweet, not too dry, not too juicy, and most importantly in the world of vetiver, not too boring! Touches of citrus, florals, and spice elevate things to addictive levels. Besides hitting all the right notes, GV performs like an EDP should, and covers a lot of bases in the versatility department, always exuding style and masculinity in an effortless, timeless way. There have been many times Tom Ford set the bar in a genre, only to be surpassed by a niche house or another designer's take. But along with Tobacco Vanille, Grey Vetiver remains a masterpiece, still standing at the top of its class.

This is a classic, completely worthy of a signature scent (Terre de Hermes is too, but is so omnipresent), and the rare case where all the "flankers" (eau de toilette, eau de Parfum and Parfum) are spectacular in their own way. The way the iciness of the lime and grapefruit blend in with the deepness of the vetiver is sublime. And even with one or two sprays it lasts a very long time on my skin and clothes. It does veer masculine (though anyone can pull it off) and can be worn through the year because of the blend of vetiver and light fruit notes. It does have that "oil" smell when you first spray it but that quickly evaporates into the body of the perfume. The eau de toilette version is more summery (though just as addictive), and the vetiver feels more airy there.

Grey Vetiver EDP started my fragrance affair with TF and all things Vetiver. The EDP was the first to launch, followed by the EDT and them the Parfum. Being the first from this line, I feel the fragrance is already ‘pure perfection’. It’s everything you want in a manly strong signature and recognisable scent. Grey is fresh and then earthy, herbal, lightly medicinal and just slightly bitter. All this really keeps the focus on the Vetiver. Thanks to GV I started to collect other Vetiver fragrances but this is still the best in my book!! Vetiver Extreme from Guerlain is a strong second but it’s so hard to find nowadays and some might find it a little too bitter... If you’re a huge Vetiver fan like me, you’re gonna love this fragrance!!

An office scent for the ages, especially for more formal/traditional companies. Orange Blossom and Vetiver dominate here, yet the sillage is not an inch past arm length. Very clean, very tasteful, but in an understated "business professional" sort of way. If you've ever sat next to your Director of Sales or VP of Operations in a meeting, you know this scent. It smells "executive", but not the after-work cigars and scotch kind. This is the quarterly dashboards and department compliance email kind. Every time I apply it, I hear the words "market discipline" and "operational commitments" echoing in my ears. Still, for a professional work fragrance, you can't do much better than this.

This is my barometer for any Vetiver fragrance, or scent I intend to wear to work or the gym. Absolute STUNNER 9.5/10. Swiss army knife certified, you can wear this to a wedding, funeral, school, the gym, a date, any time of year, any time of day. Only real restriction is that you should be put together in terms of grooming and style otherwise it will feel out of place. And perhaps not the best for guys younger than 20 or so, it is on the more mature side This is what I imagine a CEO smells like. Vibrant grapefruit backed up with woodsy notes and refreshing cut grass from the Vetiver. One of the most blind-buy safe fragrances IMO (provided you aren't a vetiver hater obviously).

Really nice classy fragrance that gives off old money/CEO vibes. The opening starts with a woody vetiver, grapefruit, and some woods. In my opinion, this is kind of an inspiration of Guerlain Vetiver. Now, lets talk about the longevity and projection. On my skin, I get around 7-8 hours with a medium projection leaning on the masculine side of perfumery. This is a very mature, gentlemanly perfume that is an absolutely amazing office fragrance. This is also a very professional fragrance if you're in the office. Lastly, is it a safe blind buy? Yes. If you like woody, earthy, CEO vibe type of vibe perfumery, this is definitely for you. 10/10 masterpiece from Tom Ford.

Grey as a colour is very neutral, grey vetiver itself isn't exactly neutral but rather vetiver in a state of supreme balance. 3 types of vetiver are blended together in such a way that it smoothes out all of its facets into something that seems kind of abstract and inert. It's not really smokey, not really nutty, not really rooty, nor dark nor inky or green or grassy or anything else one usually associates with vetiver perfumes. It's vetiver in a weirdly indistinct state of balance. In case you hadn't guessed I love it deeply, to the point where I sometimes spray my pillow with it before I sleep. The only bottle I'd consider as a replacement would be the parfum.

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver has a place in every man’s collection. Smooth, fresh, green, and high class. You will smell like expensive and clean. This one is easy to wear and to me, is signature scent worthy. At first spray, my wife went nuts...she LOVED it. It isn’t sexy, but it is sophisticated. Some say it is linear, one of those marks fragrances wear negatively...I think that is what makes this one perfect for any occasion. The fresh citrus opening is powerful and as the fragrance dries down, you get that nice clean Vetiver and some soft masculine aroma. Maybe it’s just me but I get a tiny little hint of Calvin Klein One (but 100 times better).

Amazing fragrance under the right circumstances. What are the right circumstances? If you are in an enclosed space where you want something unobtrusive. That environment is probably usually your workplace, like an office, a hospital or a retail store. And in these environments, this fragrance is just great, because I have never experienced anyone commenting negatively about this fragrance. On the other hand, you probably won't get any unsolicited compliments or be able to woo a date with this scent. As with many other fragrances, I appreciate it for what it is, but also know what it is not.

There are many vetiver fragrances out there (and I own quite a few...) but nothing quite like the king that is Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver. The perfect office fragrance for me, woody, fresh, slightly spicy, citrusy with a hint of orris underneath. The vetiver here is never earthy or dirty, it's the fresh and green variety not challenging in the least bit. This is one that I will keep in my collection forever and recommend to anyone needing a masculine, inoffensive, professional and versatile office/daily wear fragrance. 10/10, full bottle worthy. 6+ hours longevity with light projection

I've sampled EVERY different Tom Ford fragrance and I always come back to this. It's crisp neroli citrus and woodsy vetiver at its finest. Amazing longevity, like 10 hours and it's still quite fragrant on my skin. This is solid quality sophistication in a bottle. My signature day time workplace and formal scent. I live in a tropical climate. I Imagine taking a shower in an expensive hotel in the Tuscan countryside before driving to lunch in a grey Aston Martin. This juice oozes opulence, cleanliness, and status. #1 Tom Ford Fragrance Top 5 Fragrance Masterpiece.

Fresh, clean opening. I wore this with a white shirt and it was perfect. Vetiver is prominent from the start to end. Perfect office fragrance although it was gone after the first half at work. Needs re-applying after lunch time. Well done and pleasing scent profile. No artificial or synthetic feel to it. I'm addicted to the smell but worried about the time it lasted on my skin as a full bottle is very expensive. Projection is not crazy which makes this suitable for the office. Professional, C-suite level and commanding fragrance.

Grey Vetiver, is a really nice fragrance. Throughout the whole time I wore this, I always smelled that grapefruit. You can sense the "grey" in it as well. It is uncertain but also not. As if there is a fog around you but as far as you can see, you can see everything crystal clear. I think this is the best way to describe this. I saw other reviewers saying that this is not a blind buy, I believe it is because of the greyness in it. I highly recommend you give this a try. Maybe not blind buy it first though. Lovely fragrance 10/10

Currently my signature scent. Grey Vetiver EDP is fresh, it's clean, it's citrusy, it's a fantastic day time, warm weather scent that I think can work in pretty much any environment. For me, the Citrus notes are strong when you first spray, but they dry down and become a lot softer quite quickly. Surprisingly though for a fresh scent like this, it has good longevity. I get a good 6-8 hours of this before the scent dissipates. A fantastic scent that I think is my current favorite from Tom Ford

I use the tester of it for two days. It has a smell of view which is pretty fresh and it also has a slight sense of soap and it is matched with the atmosphere of office. The beginning is a short smell of fruit like Mandarin and citrus. And after 15 minutes, it has entered the smell of grass with the sense of soap and wood. It gives me a sense of grass which has just been watered and cut in autumn time. The launch gravity is not that long. it lasted to the lunchtime.

My review is for Grey Vetiver EDP. I like this very much. I'm on either my 3rd or 4th bottle. I would wear it to work almost every night. It is very similar to Guerlain Vetiver. I think the only difference is Guerlain has a bit of pepper in the scent, that is missing in Tom Ford. I have both, but go to this far more often. It is my personal favorite from Tom Ford. I do like Tobacco Vanille very much, but it is a tad to feminine for me to wear personally.

This is fantastic. For me, along with Dior Homme Intense, the two best fragrances I have and have smelled. Better than the Parfum version for me. The Vetiver in the Parfum version is too sharp and technical. This is smooth with a very small dose of sweetness and a very pleasant spice with nutmeg and woody notes. Lasts a long time on my skin and clothes. It can be wear very well in summer and winter as well. Probably the most universal fragrance I know.

The best way I can describe this, is as a combination of two environments. The smell of a coastal breeze, airy winds, and salty sea, mixed with the smell of a lush, green forest, and all of its wood, possibly after a rain. A small amount of this general shower gel "woodsy / lumberjack" kind of smell, combined with the dichotomy above. I personally love it, and the performance is better than I expected it to be, nose fatigue is real folks.

God damn it, I love this. It doesn't last long on my skin, nor does it project. Everyone I ask says it's rather tame and boring — and to be honest, they're not entirely wrong. But wow, I love it so much. It's so incredibly pleasing and addicting to my nose, and for the few hours it lasts, I'm in heaven. I can't recommend this enough. It's one of Tom Ford's finest — and also one of his cheapest creations. Buy it. Buy it. Buy it!

Classy, clean, professional, safe for all occasions and all seasons. Whereas Terre de Hermes and Guerlain Vetiver make the vetiver+citrus combo and earthy warmth, Grey Vetiver comes with crisp iciness. I like all three variants (Parfum, EdP, EdT) but this one (EdP ) strikes the perfect middle ground between summer freshie and weightiness. And it has great projection and longevity. Love, love, love.

If you're searching for a compliment getter, this isn't it. But it's one of the most pleasing fragrances I currently own. I also do what other reviewers have mentioned and wear it at home, because it makes me feel clean and relaxed. As for its aspects, think of more citrousy and lighter version of Guerlain's classic Vetiver fragrance. It's not as complex as that one, but it's less conspicuous.

This is a wonderfully imagined vetiver. The freshness in this perfume is sterling, limpid and ultra-refined. Unlike the famous vetivers by Guerlain, Carven and Givenchy, this vetiver emphasizes the clean, airy and bright aspect of vetiver, rather than a “grassy” and soapy accord. Compared to Givenchy’s elegant, but austere juice, this creation is winsome, appealing and wears a seductive smile.

It smells very bright. I know other reviewers have noted how green and earthy this smells, but to me it's mostly soapy. The vetiver is present, but it's guided by the floral notes. The first time I smelled this, I kept the tester strip for 2 days on my desk. I absolutely adore this scent, but I don't see myself pulling this off. I'm leaving this with a 5 star review, regardless.

i'll admit i purchased this because Bowie wore it. my first thought was that it smells like a young person who finally grew into their old soul. kind and self-possessed. and then i felt a little sad. it's very intimate, knowing that's what he smelled like. it also smells like packages from my german auntie. overall a clean, calm and attractive scent. both comforting and sexy.

Grey Vetiver is a beautiful and luxurious scent. Has a smooth, citrus open with a beautiful non offensive smooth vetiver that lasts throughout. This works great in the office or casual. This does better in warmer weather however I think it will work year round. The only issue is projection/sillage. Maybe 1 foot of projection but mostly a skin scent. 8/10

Vetiver, metal, and soap. Austere but invigorating. Sharp, crisp and clean. A classic. The perfect antidote to the current trend suffocating sweetness. Wears beautifully. I get about an hour of half-decent projection and another 5-6 of hovering skin scent. It’s a love for me, I just wish the projection phase lasted longer. Great stuff. 8.5/10

Grey Vetiver, one of my favorite fragrances of all time! Fresh and airy, earthy, clean and drier than the desert. I was amazed the first time I smelled it. This for me is the best contemporary implementation of a vetiver focused perfume. It is modern, classy, sofisticated and elegant. A must have for lovers of vetiver.

James Bond in a bottle. This is a refined, classy, grown man's fragrance. I imagine Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, wearing a Tux. I wouldn't say this fragrance is specifically seasonal or situational but it really shines in business or formal affairs. Especially for an established, self-assured man.

I wore this to the office today and I’ve never gotten so many compliments on a scent before! People wanted to hang out in my office just so they can keep smelling me haha! The citrus is effervescent but creamy and the vetiver is just right. This is definitely a great people pleasing scent.

Glad I pulled the trigger on this one. I love its cleanliness. It reminds me of Chanel Platinum Egoiste. Not that it smells the same, it doesn't but it is a well performing, clean, linear, classic type of scent. Surprised at the longevity issues reported on here. It's more than adequate.

This one is tricky for me. At first it's awful. Smell of crisp linen mixed with starchy white rice, very sterile and intense, and not all that pleasant. But wait a long two hours and it turns into the most mesmerising citrusy vetiver smell that it calming and absolutely addictive. A+

A dumb-reach of mine. For some reason, it's comforting to me. Like the name suggests this is a really smooth cold-vetiver. It's classy yet casual and I don't even know how you can manage that. Performance is really lackluster though so it's kind of a bummer. A real easy choice, 8/10.

Started wearing this because I just wanted to smell nice scents without having to find a boyfriend who wears it. Then I realized I really like this scent for myself, period. I dont know what gender it is and i dont care, it's entertaining my brain, that's what's important.

Such a classy and easy to wear scent, my scent of choice for gloomy/rain weather. This is rain in a bottle, reminds me of fresh air and wet concrete. The vetiver and sage is what is most prominent to me. I will say I feel I have HORRIBLE performance with this unfortunately

Grey Vetiver EDP is polished, classy, masculine, well-crafted and quietly sophisticated. A solid signature or office clean scent that lingers about 6 to 8 hours, with moderate projection and sillage. Curiously, on my skin, Grey Vetiver smells/feels “creamy”. Big love 👍👍👍👍

My wife and I share this and both pull it off really well. I think it's just perfect. It's plenty popular, but a sleeper in the Tom Ford conversation in my opinion. I adore it. Safe, but elegant. You can wear this in almost any situation. Totally signature worthy.

Clean, refined, and elegant. Yes, probably a little overpriced as many TF frags are, but I feel like gentleman every time I put this one. Classy enough to wear with a suit, but also versatile enough to wear in the summer with shorts and a polo. A+
