Neroli Portofino Parfum

A very, very soapy neroli mixed with a bunch of zesty citruses, a bit of jasmine and some clary sage. That’s how I would summarise in a few words Neroli Portofino Parfum. For neroli fans, this would be a great addition to their collection, if we could forget about the price... As much as I would love this scent, cause I do adore this scent profile, I will stick to my 2 ml sample, because the price tag is just outrageous. Considering that the performance is very average and this version is called Parfum, I just don’t think I need in my collection. There’s several other neroli/citrus dominant perfumes that I own or available on the market for a significantly lower cost for me to encourage anyone to splurge on Neroli Portofino Parfum... If money is no object, you should go for it! Otherwise, it nothing groundbreaking.. Get a bottle of Colonia Nobile by Giardini di Toscana, Memo’s Jannat or Prada’s Infusion de Fleur d’Oranger (to name a few comparable scents from my collection) if you want something similar. All these are way cheaper and last longer. None of these above mentioned fragrances are a dupe 1:1 to Neroli Portofino, but any and many more will do the job in the same way and for the same occasions. Save on this and splurge on something more unique smelling!

This is overpriced yes, but man is it incredible. This encapsulates that almafi coast vibe better than any fragrance I've tried. It smells like the best, most luxurious sunscreen you've ever smelled. Not in the way City of Stars or French Riviera smell like sunscreen. It's not powerdy or musky, the citrus stays much longer, the sunscreen feel comes from the neroli. My problem with city of stars was that the citrus's fade so fast and I didn't like the dry down near as much as the opening. Neroli Portofino Parfum however, has much longer lasting citruses and a dry down that I really enjoy. I ended up selling my city of stars to pay for this, cause I can't justify owning 2 "sunscreen" type of fragrances. I got a 15% off code through Macy's, so it came out to $400 after tax. Still crazy, but a fresh fragrance that smells like the coast of italy, performs well, and my girlfriend absolutely loves, is worth it to me. As time goes by discounters should have this for around $300. The parfum fixes all the problems the original had with performance. This stays on my skin for around 8 hours or so. It's not a monster projector but it's not a skin scent either. If this was $200, it would be a 10/10, but I gotta give it a 9/10 just cause of the price.

We can talk about the cost or the details of the reformulation (repositioning) of this one. Concerning the cost: The price is outrageous. It has gotten out of hand lately (with all fragrance brands). Almost $500 for a 50ml is ridiculous. Full stop. Concerning the fragrance: It is very well done. Neroli Portofino Forte was a longtime favorite of mine. The new formulation I like better, as it is dryer. The musk is equal to the neroli imo and the neroli has been softened - if not reigned in. The lemon note replaces or drowns out the floral aspect of the neroli considerably. Overall, I would say that this edition is a more austere and elegant reincarnation to the old “Forte”. I’ll let the rest of the community comment more eruditely about the notes as i am still very much a novice. Lastly, I will point out that none of these new TF formulations are actually “parfums”. Needless to say, I would definitely want a big ol’ decanter of this. It is quite nice.

Wow, wow, wow... love at first smell. Yes, it’s very expensive and the performance is not great, but it absolutely smells incredible. There are many similar neroli scents but I just love the way TF does neroli overall. With the Parfum version it’s a bit darker, but very similar to the EDP. It’s also perfectly unisex unlike many other neroli fragrances which tend to lean feminine. Since it’s a summer fragrance you know it won’t last because made with a lot of citrus. The quality of ingredients is top notch for sure, but I agree this should be in the signature line. Hard to pay $$$ for summer fragrances.

They solved all of the problems with Neroli Portofino which lasts 3 hours, now the Parfum version lasts 4 hours. All jokes aside, beautiful scent profile for any sunny day, the price is steep but it lasted 7 hours on my skin. It starts pretty citrusy and fresh, and bit by bit the floral side starts emerging. Tom Ford perfumes have been pretty hit or miss lately, but this is lovely.

I’m not really a summer-fragrance guy and don’t have much experience with them, but this one is perfect for me. The opening kind of reminds me of CK One (though I think that’s just a characteristic of summer and citrusy fragrances). This is a 9/10 for me. I might as well try Chanel Allure Homme Sport next.

This is just a relaunch of Neroli Portofino Forte, a fragrance that came out in 2016 and is generally considered to be the best fresh fragrance Tom Ford ever made. I suggest people obtain a basic knowledge of Tom Ford lineups and Private Blend flankers before spamming blind hate comnents on the internet.

Freshies aren't usually that great on my skin which I am surprised to hear people mentioning performance issues, NP parfum is still Detectable 5 hours and it's still going!! Gorgeous scent this!! Such an improvement on the og, this is great!!

Definitely a smoother, fuller and more intense neroli. 8-10 hours at least on skin. I really don’t understand any comment that says it’s short lived. Performance is great. It’s exactly what I was hoping for.

It's almost identical to EDP. It has a slightly rounder profile thanks to the addition of a touch of jasmine and orange. If you like neroli, you should definitely give this a try. The longevity is average.

My dad’s signature scent was 4711. When I tried this on at Globus, I was transported back to 1984. Love this. No comment on the price. Will have to save up for it.

This perfume is amazing. it truly transports me to the perfect luxurious summer full of beautiful sites and warmth. the citrus mixes perfectly with the neroli.

So good would never buy it way to expensive and no longevity but a 5ml sample of this will always be in my collection

Lets smoothen out the neroli, make it less synthetic and ofcourse lets hse a drop of lemon oil for a intenser and denser opening.. well its the dream for neroli portofino lovers not gonna lie! I just have some doubts.. for the quality and performance there are many nerolis for a better price. The only reason to buy this is being a TF fan.. for the smell you can def buy the original 250ml on the grey market for 350€. Which is at the same price for the 50ml here.

Honestly I was hoping to not like this based on the price, but of all the lemon scents I've tried this might be the best. Despite the high price point I would consider purchasing if it weren't for the poor performance, though I find that to be a standard issue with lemon-based fragrances. I may have to look for a good dupe for this, because I personally can't justify a $200-$300 purchase for a fragrance that will only last a few hours at most.

Very Citrusy and floral, quite an attractive scent. Projects and performs well for me, which is contrary to what others seem to be experiencing. Price is a little high on TF and I think there are better summer options out there. If it were more in the common designer price point I'd feel better recommending. Not sure if when it runs out I'd buy again, but its not an every day or every occasion use so it should last you a while.

This has a huge dose of neroli and citrus oils..to the point where it made me wanna sneeze when I first smelled it. The scent profile is not unique by any means but here it’s composed beautifully with a lot of naturals and really condensed,it is strong but gentle at the same time,more floral than it is citrusy..super expensive though,to the point I don’t think it’s worth the price but it’s not worth the hate either.

There’s something quite nostalgic about this scent. The neroli here is quite smooth and well blended. Not too soapy nor too citrusy. The musky amber drydown lasts the whole day on my clothing with moderate projection, which is an improvement over the EDP. Was lucky enough to get this for half the retail price because I would never pay full price for it.

I prefer the scent of the EDP over this one. Basically, this smells like the EDP with added orange. The performance is also better than the EDP's. I just hope they give the EDP the same performance as the Parfum. I would pick the EDP over this one, even though this one performs better.

Ok I test this thing in Japan, Kyoto just ago, actually I was very surprise in the start when I notice tom ford release a neroli portofino parfum version, because I really love the scent of edp version, but edp's longevity and projection is very weak , and when I testing the parfum version, I predict it will have much longer longevity and stronger projection, you know what, haha its still the same, yes it truly have a bit longer lasting, but the performance is still like shxt. Don't waste your money, buy some real fragrance. Not even worth trying it.

As with so many TF's this begins with real promise. A v fresh citrus bergamot and lemon are most dominant backed by lavender (or rather Clary sage). This feels slightly more masculine but very pleasant and something I'd wear if in a Mediterranean mood. But soon the lemon is leaning toward a cleaning product. Six and a half hours later you're left with an orangey lemon synthetic skinscent not far at all from a cleaning product. 4.0/10.

Love the original NP, its my favorite summer frag OAT. Ran out of my original and my only complaint with the original was the lack of performance. Figured this would solve it. Unfortunately, no improvements really on the performance, and on top of that, I actually think the scent profile is worse, it's got more of a masculine scent going on, it doesn't quite sparkle like the original. What a shame.

I have tried this one today. There is some similarity to the TF NPF, but NPP leans more towards the floral side which makes him neither masculine nor feminine. The NPF has a woody note instead of a floral, and I love it. Also, in terms of longevity, it became weak after just two hours. For comparison, I put Fougere D'Argent on the other wrist, which is EDP and still can hear it loud and clear.

Tried this today in Denmark. It's definitely in the Neroli Portofino family, but it doesn't seem as sharp and "sparkling" as the others. Sprayed on hand about 30 minutes ago and almost undetectable already. Price is insane. Tom Ford had a good run. Now the brand is becoming pure mockery of fragrance lovers. Value for money isn't there any more.

I can't recommend this. There's nothing wrong with it - by which, I mean it doesn't cause migraines. But it's not new, unique, or memorable. A bottle of neroli essential oil from your neighbor who's into crystals will smell no different from this. I can't bring myself to call it unisex either; it definitely leans masculine.

Well.. the Parfum does pack a a touch more 'oomph' than the OG. To my nose, the Neroli feels more rounded; less sharp? Most likely would benefit from a re-application or two throughout the day, while the OG 'requires' that I carry a decant.

Great citrus and Neroli floral smelling scent let down very badly by the longevity and price. I wish I hadn't bought this because of the poor performance of such an expensive scent. Literally lasts a maximum of two hours.

I ́ve have never really understand term ́ ́smell like luxury hotel lobby ́ ́ but this is it. Only thing i would add is: ́ ́italian ́ ́. But its NO for me. Its too oldschool fragrance (politely put, or you can just read it as OLD-man) Maybe some vintage bar soap smell like this. That kind your grat grandma used to have... (with that price tag, i am glad i am young and dont like it, maby when iĺl be 70yo wealthy man)

It’s absolutely not worth the money. It’s not long-lasting at all and no different from a cheap lemon cologne. There’s no depth or other notes in the scent. Feels like an imitation of French colognes created 100 years ago. Don’t waste your money on this unless you literally want to spray cash into the air.

So fyi amazing citrus opening but I found out something interesting when i smelled neroli oranger and this is that not only those two are identical although i do give it up to neroli oranger better quality is that fact that i dislike neroli so its a 4/10 same goes with neroli oranger

Sadly, this is something I was waiting for because I thought it gonna be like NP Forte but sadly all I got is floral citrus neroli that you can find it for 5$. Not masculine like the forte version and not good as the original.

Tried on skin from Saks. As an owner of Neroli Portofino Forte that this replaced, I don’t see any need in this. I think the Forte version smells more complex and deeper with better longevity. Definitely prefer the discontinued Forte. This seemed to have a hint of Mandarino di Amalfi to it even. I haven’t tried the current formulation of regular TF NP EDP recently enough to know how much they’ve watered it down, but if it’s been anything like how Oud Wood has been reduced to basically the performance of a weak EDT, then I imagine you pretty much have to have this version to get anything worthwhile. I think this is a staple citrus cent, but I personally would pass on it unless at an extreme discount and if you don’t have other citruses already that you like better. Honestly, TF should just make normal NP this and quit these money grabbing games. I’m not a fan of how the brand is creatively (or lack thereof) moving.

wow what a pretty bottle to have in my collection... ...is what I say to myself to justify a purchase of a fragrance that dissipates into oblivion within 2 hours . I kid you not I sprayed my tshirt with 14 sprays - 30 mins later I'm feeling confident getting some wafts, as I'm walking my brother goes wow what are you wearing I can smell it from here it's really good, I get back 2 hours later, it ceases to exist at all. If you want people to smell this on you, you better spray then immediately run to them, or better yet just bring the bottle with you and spray it in their face. Such a shame since this is such a nice smelling neroli perfect for the summer, but even to smell good for an hour or so, I have to douse myself in parfum and in warm weather having oily skin isn't exactly comfortable , so that needs to be considered aswell.

Neroli Portofino is pleasant enough but nothing special, it's a regular, fresh, clean frag, and not that different to 4711 cologne. The Tom Ford fragrance range is produced by the Estee Lauder Corporation, it's ridiculous pricing for something that is quite mediocre really; corporate greed again. Beautiful packaging and marketing, yes, that's what we're really paying for. There are plenty of fresh, clean, citrus based fragrances out there for a fraction of the price! NP also has zero staying power, it's fresh and zingy when first sprayed but fades very fast. Nice as a show off frag but you need to be willing to spend some serious cash to wear this as a sig frag..

I love Tom Ford perfume, he is the reason I became a perfumer. But the house of Tom Ford is now just being fucking lazy, and becoming a cash grab! Yes "PARFUM" is made different and is meant to keep the "essence" of the original, but wtaf?! Are they just gonna make every single perfume they have into a "PARFUM?!" Tuscan Leather! Ground breaking! Oud wood! So good, oud minerale! I'm actually glad they brought that back, I love it. So many great perfumes discontinued, just so they can regurgitate old ones over an over?! So disappointing.

In a word: beautiful. I love the edp but get frustrated at how fleeting it is. This scratches the itch wonderfully. There’s this faint musk that pervades at the back and seems to somehow push the neroli forward as if to say “no you don’t” when it wants to fade a bit. Don’t expect huge presence on this, just expect a deeper longer lasting version of the EDP. The price? Well it’s not cheap. But the better things in life rarely are. And this is definitely in the better things in life category.

Oh gosh this is fing amazing. Almost like neroli Portofino forte which I loved but this one to me is pure gem, something that I was searching for long time after NPF which I love and will love forever, definitely close skin scent but not that close it’s just not very overwhelming, when it comes to price it is what it is. To me 11/10. If you like orange/lemon scents but not so soapy and flat but something beyond and have money just take it.

Private lines getting flankers and getting marketed to the masses...shame, this wasnt the original idea for a private line. This was a line for creativity, high quality and being bold and different. Return back to the 12 original TF private blends and give that a sniff, it will blow your mind how non-watered down they were, full of personality and richness.

Dug this out today from my TF collection box. It's definitely one of my less loved TF it is citrus and yummy but zero power or sileage, at the price I expect everyone in a mile radius to smell me and genuflect. So many similar versions at a snip of the price beautiful but not special or maybe my needing a neroli hit today means I'm being a Grinch!

Great scent for TF NP fans. Lemon and musk hitting harder compared to previous versions, really nice though. I also find it a bit more floral. When NP first came out, it was criticized for being 4711 with a designer label (and price tag), however this is far from 4711, with neroli being dialed back a bit to let the other notes shine.

Okay hear me out: it’s possible to appreciate the artistry of a fragrance and still personally dislike it. I admire Neroli Portofino but, alas, it smells like a clean portable toilet to me. Like that blue liquid they fill the toilets with at music festivals. Does that make me uncultured? Perhaps. But it’s how I honestly feel.

Stop complaining! This private line has gotten flankers since the beginning of times. Remember Tuscan Leather, Tobacco Oud, Amber etc in Intense version. The Neroli Portofino Forte, Acqua, and now a Parfum. Now, is it overpriced or is it not targeted for you until it hits discounters? Some of you all can be really bitter.

It’s almost impossible to sample this unless you live in one of the top metropolitan areas of the USA. I’m in the Midwest and no one has testers of this. They have like 4 bottles in stock to sell, but no testers. Come on Estée Lauder, roll out more testers so people don’t have to blind buy 50 ml for $500.........
