Oud Voyager

I tested Oud Voyager on my skin and, unlike Oud Wood by Tom Ford, this one actually lasted the entire day on me. I really like the scent. It’s definitely on the darker side, not a fresh fragrance, although it still has a freshness to it. The floral aspect is done very well and stands out the most to me. At the same time, the type of woodiness it has feels quite unique (for a fragrance with floral notes). Overall, I’d say it leans masculine, which you wouldn't expect from the rosiness. This is actually a scent I’ve been looking for. It combines a masculine base with noticeable floral notes, which makes it feel unique compared to most men’s fragrances, and it’s executed very well. The projection is decent. It could maybe be a bit stronger, but I also feel that would take away from the character of the fragrance. As expected from Tom Ford, it’s very expensive. However, the scent itself also feels high-quality and luxurious, not just the name. I definitely like it and would wear it often, especially during colder days. Personally, I wouldn’t pay €355 for a 100 ml bottle, but if I were to spend that kind of money, this would be a strong contender. It’s also the kind of fragrance that wouldn’t get boring over time, which makes it even more appealing.

It’s pretty nice. A beautiful floral woody composition. No real oud to my nose. It’s a nice change of pace being ethereal and effervescent. To me it’s more floral than woody and leans a little feminine. As for the Orto Parisi references I felt that was darker and more brooding if you will. OV is a pretty light wear almost all year round except summer days heck you could wear this to work. Note wise beyond the geranium and peony you do notice a touch of cardamom giving the lift and saffron in the mid. The notes in the base seem heavy but you dont notice much off the top which means you feel them support and anchor rather than become the focal point due to an overdose. If you look at TF for the last 18 years this is a fairlu average offering however since Fabulous this is one of the best releases.

It's easy to judge this perfume as too ordinary if you just smell it on a blotter or with a single spritz on your skin. But if you want to understand it and experience its perfection, you have to wear it at least for a day. I was about to make this mistake and I was going to miss this amazingly good reading of an otherwise over-exploited topic in perfumery as rose-oud combination. Actually, there's a feeling of a rose here which is rather deceptive. Maybe the combination peony-saffron gives this rosie vibe, I don’t know and don’t care. For me it’s the best find of the year and makes me happy every time.

Have you been looking for a realistic rose perfume desperately for many years? This is it!. There is no Rose note here but the Geranium, Red Peony, Citrus and spices make it smell like a real rose, like a majestic Turkish Rose. Very cleverly done. Oud is to give a base, but very refined, western taste, far from any known classic rose oud combo. This is definitely the release of the 2025. Haters comments are biased, not everyone has to reach everything right, this is marketed to a specific buyer profile, there are millions of cheeeaap arabic perfumes everywhere now.

This was the release I was waiting for.. Tom Ford has been putting out mediocre fragrances as of late. But this is FANTASTIC, this is worthy of being ca a Tom Ford fragrance and goes back to the real Tom Ford perfumery we're used to.. Unisex, very easy to wear, still complex without being too over the top, definitely mass appealing.. This is a beautiful fragrance, I don't recommend it to anyone, it's not Dior Sauvage, it's much better and very different, but those are both good things in my opinion!

Got a sample of this after checking out online for another fragrance from the “Before you go, consider adding on to your order for only...” ploy, which I am a sucker for. I am really glad I did this time. I really really love this fragrance. For me it is a perfect balance of fresh, floral and woody notes. Works great on my skin and is the perfect strength for a chronic oversprayer like myself. Great longevity. Now I have to add this to my ever growing list of full bottles to get eventually. Dammit!

I love it. After the initial blast of oud, it mellows out into non-descript rosy florals (avoids being too rose forward thanks to the geranium and peony) with a deep woody-spicy base. Not too sweet, not too oudy, not too feminine, not too masculine. I would describe this perfume as mysterious. Not for big time oud lovers. More layered and complex than oud wood, which I also like. But this one stole my heart. This and Noir de Noir are my top TF fragrances of all time.

Bought a bottle of Tobacco Vanille for the upcoming Harry Styles inspired winter and the sales associate spritzed some Oud Voyager on my hand. The second I smelled it on my skin, I grabbed a 50ml. A true PG-13 Oud for someone who usually hates Oud... Floral, almost like the Kidz Bop version of Oud Satin/Silk Mood. I love it. Definitely not for barnyard, fecal, animalic enthusiasts. Perfect for me. THANKS.

Oud is blended exceptionally well here. Not the animalic type of oud, but rather the tom ford DNA type of oud. The Geranium and other rose notes perfectly soften and balance the oud. It smellls opulent and rich/Luxurious Arab perfurmery. I love it. Tested out a number of fragrances, and this one stood out amongst them with a mere 2-3 sprays. So long lasting and strong silalge.

Really enjoyed this one. Take out all the funkiness from oud floral / animalic nature and tone it down with geranium and soft florals. and combine it with a dusty oud wood and you get this. Florals tend to be top notes and go away within 30 minutes and left down to a more woody dusty dry down than oud wood. Its pretty good. I enjoyed it more than oud fleur

I love it! At first, it's more peppery and feels brighter, bittersweet leaning sweet, but soon enough it leaves that behind and the spicy wood notes take center stage. It slowly becomes warmer and darker, a bit moody but in a comforting way. It makes me feel safe. Longevity-wise, it's fine, not bad but not great, specially considering the price.

Smelled this on test strip today, wow! It's not revolutionary or unique but it smells great. I think it's safe to say I love it. Fresh, floral, rose, oud. Edit: if you want a more advanced description of this fragrance read the article Eddie wrote about it. If you're just a regular dumb guy like me, it's a fresh, floral, rose, oud. lol

Im not someone who usually wears floral fragrances but the first time i smelled oud voyager i felt it speak to me i rlly loved it the gentle blend between oudy and floral is what makes it perfect for both genders its definitely not too feminine and more on the unisex side.

Sultry, seductive, mysterious. Reminds me of Oud Wood but with florals. Develops really nicely and becomes more woody as time goes on. Spicy peony with oud as the heart which never really leaves the composition. I really like it! Squarely unisex in my opinion also.

The people rating 1/5 surely haven’t smelled it. It’s quite mass appealing, but to be honest the Peony is a breath of fresh air in the floral oud combo when rose seems to be used almost always. 8.5/10, did not test performance. Smelled loud from bottle though.

One of the best oud perfumes, and the roses adding an uplifting to the perfume knowing that im usually i don’t like roses in man perfumes, but that one was an exception, i smell it in airport and i obsessed about it, and couldn’t resist and bought it

I'm wearing this as my SOTN and it's delicious. I don't see much similarity to Oud Wood as some of stated. For me, it's a fruity, spicy, rose/oud combo and it's delightful. One of the best Tom Ford releases in years.

This is really nice. Aromatic with smooth, light, oud. Very wearable. Unisex, leans masculine. Already on discounters but still priced kinda high. I'd wait for prices to come down more but it's fbw.

Smells like one of the Montale/Mancera leathery fruity ouds like Montale Oud Legend, or Mancera Wild Leather. Nothing like the other TF ouds.

Rose, floral, oud combo. Not a really innovative scent but it's great. But having bloody fxxking hell high price.

Nice fragrance but almost no oud in this, more on the floral side. DON'T overspray ffs.

Finally I got a sample to try. Claims about overusing a synthetic oud base like oud oliffac are a bit dumb. The "why" I will leave it to the user to investigate and learn. Anyway, the fragrance opens with a strong geranium and peony accord, enbrightened with a bit of citrus and fresh spices. In my opinion, although the first impression can be similar to a rose, you should be able to feel the difference. Regarding the oud, it seats way in the background, and in no way you feel any trace of animality or barnyard. The tri-destillate with real oud they claim about using sounds interesting, but here at least doesn't seem to bring anything groundbreaking. In general, I find this fragrance appealing and I like how it smells. I find it quite linear and with moderate longevity and a more close-to-skin sillage. In times where fragrances are only valued by monstruous longevity and nauseous sillage, I think that "moderate" perfumes are welcome.

Was really looking forward to this new release and it didn’t disappoint. Sampled it in David Jones last week and I have to say it’s one of the best releases from TF in quite a while. I can understand the comparisons with Oud Fleur but there are a few subtle differences. Firstly the subtle geranium opening sets it apart with its slightly minty presence creates a slightly airier quality and the peony stops it from because a generic rose/oud combo.The cardamom and saffron add a nice touch of spice. The oud base is similar to Oud Fleur in that it sits well with those who like a western oud ( bold but without the fecal quality). Longevity is very impressive, around 8 hours with a nice lingering trail. Thoroughly impressed, purchased it, and walked away from my shopping very happy indeed.

I adore Tom Ford and have many fragrances from the house, but this I don’t think I can get behind, at least right now. Just got a tester and I’ll live with it for awhile before final judgment. I have smelled this type of Oud/Sweet/Patchouli so many times lately. Initial impression is I much prefer a little funkiness - not barnyard- Oud which this does not present. I own and love Oud Wood, OW Parfum, and Tobacco Oud, for example, and to me, this is not similar to the interpretation of Oud found in those. And I’ve never tried Oud Fleur, which some reviewers are comparing this to. Anyway, it is a lovely and well-made fragrance, and I do appreciate what it’s doing, though. Maybe I’ll change my mind! Will update lol.

When I first sampled it, I just had to have it. Since then, I’d say it aged pretty bad in my collection. It’s redundant and nothing spectacular. Thoughts it’s Unisex, I feel this is a scent for an older woman. Well balanced with more of the aromatic rose in the forefront. But again, nothing that I reach for as a first option in my collection. I feel there’s better alternatives that are also cheaper 7/10

At first sniff it seemed very rosy, similar to initio atomic rose. To my surprise consultant said there is no roses in the notes but there is peony so peony playes a role here though to me it is kinda rosey in the begining. Its more feminine to me than unisex. Oud is detectable but not the main role for sure. Though i find it kind of pleasant

Finally a good Tom Ford fragrance. I like this a lot.. it would be my personal choice for special occasions if I want to smell luxurious It takes that "inky" character a lot of Tom Ford fragrances have and actually makes it wearable for once recommend trying but I still don't justify the ridiculous price at all

Nice oud rose combo with geranium its velvety and soft like most TFs. First hour its projecting fine and has nice smell then rose and oud day goodby and it dissipates and change the smell to vetiver cypriol which is the tome it had become a skin scent. Over all nice but not new profile and idea

Not a bad scent but it won’t come across as part of the Oud fragrances till dry down. Very floral powder opening. Does dry down masculine and smooth oudy with feminine floral note. Not a safe blind buy.

Beautiful fragrance that leans softly into its oud notes with balance between its sweet and woody profile. I find it to be unique and sexy, and slightly feminine.

High Quality! Strong. A lot of flowers concentration. Oud is almost not appearing. Fits more women. 7/10

Begins as a promising Rose Oud combo but... It has a loud dark opening...a mix of little sweetened rose with more prominent spicy cardamom saffron vibe ( actually this is the best part for me, as it has a powerful dark earthy attractive vibe indicating that a complex creation is coming !! )... Within one hour the reverse occurs as the Rose starts to dominate while the spicy dark vibe fades...then it starts to behave as the other Rose Oud combos out there...it is the type of sweetened Rose Oud ( very similar to MFK Oud Satin Mood ).... Performance is great with excellent projection, sillage , and all day longevity...Unisex& best for cold winter days. If you have Electimuss Octavian, MFK Oud satin mood, Mancera Back to black& many out there....I think no need to have this one.. يبدأ كمزيج واعد من الورد والعود، ولكن... له افتتاحية قوية داكنة و جذابه... مزيج من القليل من الورد المُحلى مع لمسة أوضح وأقوى من الهيل والزعفران (في الحقيقة هذه هي أفضل مرحلة بالنسبة لي، لأنها تحمل طابعًا ترابيًا داكنًا جاذبًا للغاية و يعطى انطباع عن عطر معقد قادم و لكن الجمال لم يكتمل..). خلال ساعة تقريبًا يحدث العكس، إذ يبدأ الورد بالهيمنة بينما تتلاشى اللمسة الداكنة الحارة... بعدها يبدأ العطر بالتصرف مثل باقي عطور الورد والعود في السوق... فهو من نوعية الورد المُحلى مع العود (مشابه جدًا لعطر Oud Satin Mood من MFK). الأداء ممتاز من حيث الفوحان والثبات والانتشار طوال اليوم. إذا كنت تمتلك Electimuss Octavian أو MFK Oud Satin Mood أو Mancera Back to Black..... وغيرها الكثير... أعتقد أنه لا حاجة لاقتناء هذا العطر. Don't really know what to say about this one. Oud Voyager opens up with a really nice floral rose oud scent, it's dark, deep, earthy and blended very nicely. In the air the "oud" isn't too prominent after a few minutes, more so the florals. There's a slight green harshness that becomes a bit unbalanced with the florals for a while but it mellows down as the fragrance continues to dry down. The deep dry down is a sweet and slightly powdery floral scent. There's also something about the florals in here I'm not a big fan of, they're sweet in a thick, almost syrupy way, it's the same issue I have with the Black Orchid line. Overall there are parts of Oud Voyager I really like as well as parts I'm not a fan of so I feel a bit lukewarm about it in general. Performance was surprisingly great overall. Projection was only moderate but sillage was on the denser side and it kept projecting all day, even if weakly, I kept catching whiffs of this up to 10 hours later. Longevity was amazing, a solid 8 hours but I could still smell this faintly on my arms 12 hours in.

As someone below wrote, Oud Voyager is quite generic in the Oud-Rose genre. Oh it smells good. But I've smelled essentially this so many times. Oud Voyager simoly doesn't distinguish itself. Also, for me, this is being compared to a Tom Ford masterpiece: Noir de Noir. I have a big ol bottle of Noir de Noir and simply don't need Oud Voyager. The two share a lot of the same Oud-Rose genre, and many of the same notes and accords, and yet one is a masterpiece and the other generic and undistinguished.

The first spray is overwhelmingly floral, the oud is in the background barely making its presence known. I received a decant of this to try and my wife’s comment to me was “That smells great for me to wear”. She’s unfortunately not wrong, this reads completely feminine to me and the oud and warm musk aren’t enough to salvage it. It does smell nice for what it’s worth, the flower to me smells like a rose, a comforting and familiar scent. Unisex, however, this isn’t.

This opens with a darker resinous oud and that slight funk with a strong support of florals. Becomes a bit softer and more powdery, still balanced by a slightly dark note from the oud and patchouli, but overall floral is the game here and remains it start to finish. Very soft with relatively weak longevity, being mostly a soft skin scent after about 2 hrs. Pleasant enough overall, not a floral lover but it's completely wearable and I can rock it no issues (male).

Some say this resembles Cartier Declaration de un Soir, or FM Promise... nonsense! If anything, Oud Voyager sits closer to LV Les Sables Roses - rose/floral oud enveloped by saffron and supported by ambergris. This gives the fragrance a mineral undertone that turns slightly soapy and make-up-like later in the drydown. I don’t detect any vetiver or patchouli here at any point. Unisex leaning feminine.

Smooth, refined, and utterly underwhelming. The peppery opening is the best part, but it quickly fades away. Oud Voyager smells only vaguely like Oud Fleur, which is much stronger and funkier. Voyager will not scratch your Fleur itch. Nothing compelling here for me to add this to my other TFs. My wallet breathes a sigh of relief.

I tried a sample at home today and I feel like it’s the sister of oud wood but I prefer oud wood. I wish it was as strong as rose exposed.

in the opening some rose with some note that reminds me of naphthalene , will have to test on skin

Unlike the new creed oud i love this one and definitely adding it to my wishlist.
