Taormina Orange

Tom Ford Taormina Orange features the most realistic mandarin orange note I have ever experienced. Its bright, natural citrus opening is simply outstanding and surpasses anything else I have encountered in this category. Among all of Tom Ford's Private Blend citrus fragrances, this is easily my favorite. My only criticism is the price, which is undeniably steep. Other than that, I have very little to complain about. The quality, realism, and overall composition are exceptional. I am generally not a fan of unisex fragrances, as many tend to lean too feminine for my personal taste. However, Taormina Orange strikes a perfect balance. As a man, I can wear it confidently without ever feeling that it is overly feminine. For anyone considering a purchase, this is one of the safest blind buys I can recommend. If you appreciate authentic citrus fragrances, Taormina Orange is absolutely worth experiencing.

Absolutely stunning release. Just been for an afternoon stroll around the fragrance section in Flannels to sample both this and Buongiorno by ADP as I wanted to sample both... ended up buying both. I’m in love with these scents and can’t decide which will be my summer staple. Both are very different, but there is something about the TF that is familiar, but can’t quite figure out what. It really isn’t a boring scent as some say, and having owned most of TF’s summer scents (with the last few being a bit boring), this is definitely a step up, or step back, to what TF used to be all about. This really is summer in a bottle. Edit: I remembered! It’s extremely close to Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver Guerlain.

First wearing impression on skin: I didn't expect to like this one because Tom Ford fragrances have become overpriced disappointments. However, this one is very very good imo. It does share some of that lime character with azure lime and the drydown is absolute money. I don't expect performance from my citrus fragrances, I expect niche quality above all else and this one delivers on that front. If you like Azure Lime, you'll like this one, and you might even like it more.

I love this one. I think it’s even better than neroli portofino. NP for some reason is a little more muted to my nose, and this new one has more oomph and presence. It has a little bit of bitterness, but also a little bit of creaminess, which is so interesting and yummy. Projection is at least an arm’s length or more, longevity on my clothes is about 3 hours. I can see myself reaching for this one a lot this summer, along with a couple of Louis V’s citrus juices.
