White Suede

WHITHE SUEDE I love the musk and the clean aspect of the fragrance. Some days it smells of clean laundry to me, and mild soap and soft wash detergent, other days I smell the suede aspect more so and I do enjoy that as well. Its warm and clean at the same time. Like a white suede jacket , soft and cozy , turns into a skin scent completely, smells better than skin, after all , suede IS skin :) Update ThIs smells soooo good. Smells of suede for sure, what a genius fragrance. Equally gourgous on a man. Its very classy yet quite casual At he same time. Understated elegance. It has the smell of a leather butique , new purses and new fine leather jackets , what a sexy skin scent. On the other hand it smells of clean / dirty laundry. I smell sandalwood musk and saffron as well as suede. I can not detect the rest of the notes but they must , in combination ,do an amazing job in making this fragrance smell beautiful. Update , white suede is slowly becoming my very favourite perfume. It's not really like perfume it's just a really good musky smell and that's what I love about it. So it's not a statement fragrance or going out smell but rather a skin smell , its sexy and musky or as my friend says it smells of linen sheets , freshly pressed , I can see that , I love that ! Some people think this is discontinued , but it's not. They changed the bottle from this to brown to go along with the other Tom Fords. As the rest of the musk line was discontinued they didn't want a lonely white cap soldier . It's more elegant in the dark bottle. And protects the juice better too. I have been on a search for a musk. While walking through Saks, I purchased a bottle of Kiehl's original musk and the sales lady guided me over to Tom Ford where I tried White Suede. This fragrance baffles me. It seems to operate on two levels of the brain. The surface level says "no big deal." It is a basic fresh/clean smell that truly does smell like a store full of expensive leather jackets or purses. Nice, but nothing special. But this musk also operates on a deeper level of my brain (the primitive, animal part near the amygdala). This is the part of the brain sometimes associated with emotion and feelings. White Suede Musk activates this section greatly. First, I just cannot pull my wrist away from my nose in order to stop sniffing. Secondly, I want my life to smell like this. I want my home, car, clothes, and my skin to smell this good. For some reason, when I wear this scent my life seems richer, happier, more satisfying. It makes me wonder why this is not the most popular smelling fragrance in the world - doesn't everyone want to smell like this? Then the upper level of the brain takes over and says, "it isn't anything special; hence few people buy it." So, White Suede Musk by Tom Ford is really nothing special in regards to the fragrance world. It is pleasant, clean and simple in many ways. You will find many scents that are more beautiful and worth the money. But I will buy this musk and wear it as much as possible because for me, it operates on a primitive level and invokes great joy and happiness in my mind. And that makes it so worth it.

I wanted a suede fragrance to replace the discontinued Donna Karan signature scent in the swan bottle. I tested Tom Ford White Suede a few times at the mall and noticed how different it was from DK in notes and sillage, staying close to skin but lasting several hours. I fell in love with the impression it gave me of a sophisticated woman in red lipstick, drinking Manhattans at a bar, smoking cigarettes and extinguishing her lipstick-stained butts in an ashtray. I always wanted a bottle, but the price is too high for me. Fortunately, I just received a birthday gift certificate to an Arabian perfume house in metro Chicago called Yom & Layl. They custom blend perfumes and mix whatever you want onsite while you wait. The perfumes are 40% concentrated and prices range from $49 for 1 oz. to $85 USD for 3.3 oz. I tested their White Suede impression called Belle's Suede and found that the notes match the original. I brought my bottle home in a custom black box with a gold seal and matching bag. It seems to last longer on me than the original. Online reviews of this merchant note how perfumes like these with concentrated oils age like fine wine.

This fragrance is pure sex. Not a powerful sexy bomb. But still, pure sex. The elegance of the scent reminds me of a wealthy, mature and indipendent woman. Her sexiness comes from her self consciousness: she doesn’t need to show off her skin to become other people’s desire. Her clothes are very minimalistic, ton sur ton combinations, her makeup is barely there and she keeps her hair in a clean bun. Her bag is usually a taupe Kelly or a Phantom by Céline. You can detect her scent only if very, very close: are you lucky enough? Although the fragrance is labeled as a feminine scent, you should try the fragrance even if you’re a man: in this case the sexiness comes from the contrast between the feminine elegance of the fragrance itself and the natural odor of a male skin. The result is not a clearly sex statement achieved by masculine fragrances such as Bel Ami or any other leather-patchouli-vetiver based scent: it is subtle and definitely more intriguing. Give it a try! PS: you’re gonna love this if you come from Narciso, both For Her or Narciso (it works even if your Arab customer doesn’t want anything smelling like Oud).

Love at first sniff 😍 If you are like me who has love-hate relationship with a leather note & love-hate relationship with Tom Ford fragrances, give this a try! Everything is so delicately blended into one wonderful smell that I am shook myself. I was very hesitant to smell this giving the name, but oh, boy! This is not the leather note in Tuscan Leather! Thanks God 🙏. This is... 📝 well, I can't even describe it, it is so well blended that I can't pick up the individual notes! The overall feeling is utterly feminine, elegant with some fresh air, slightly sweet and floral. There is something incredibly familiar to me in the later stages.... like I have smelled something similar on my Mum when I was a kid. It doesn't mean that it is old fashioned! On the contrary! I remember a lot of pleasant smells from 80s that the modern perfumery neglects!!!️ For its own shame! They pour hundreds of similar smells which often smell "cheap". And boring and not innovative 👎 For me, White Suede is a masterpiece, easily wearable for every season and occasion 👏👏👏
