Liquid Woman

I have just bought Liquid Woman Tom Tailor for a gift to my mother in law who likes fragrance like Light Blue Dolce Gabbana. I have to admit it is very pleasant, sweet and yet feisty smell. There are actually noticeable some rose, jasmine, orange blossom and oranges, and my favourite red pepper and a bit of amber. After sometime, the smell is getting less fruity, but not oriental. In addition, it is not intense, or lasting at all.

While I love drugstore perfumes (they can be really positively surprising, long-lasting and inspiring), I find this one totally blunt. It smells nice from the cap or on a blotter but on me it's perfectly boring - neither fresh, nor sweet, neither spicy, nor sour - not even close to the cheapest liquid soap (btw I love soapy scents). It's the closest to on over-ripe mandarine. No sandalwood, no tea, no orange, no rose, no white flowers whatsoever - just some cheap detergent note and this over-ripe mandarine... Black pepper? In my dreams maybe! Perhaps it's my chemistry - I hope so! I love the bottle and the cap, generally I appreciate the idea for this perfume - it just does not seem to work for me. Still, I recommend testing - I know folks who love it.

This is a rather fresh flowery scent. In the beginning it's still quite nice and could be a good daytime or summer fragrance. On me I didn't like the artificial drydown that was somehow typical drugstorelike.
