Gâteau à l'ananas by Tomavicci (created by Masterperfumer Chris Maurice) I bought my bottle during the Tomavicci presale and received it 3 days ago. Gâteau à l'Ananas is like walking into a fancy French bakery and being handed a slice of warm pineapple cake, but with a little extra drama. Right from the first spray, you get this blast of juicy pineapple soaked in sweet rum — it’s bold, boozy, and feels super rich. But give it a minute, and it starts to soften. The cake note comes through, warm and fluffy, and suddenly it’s less about the rum and more about that golden, slightly caramelized pineapple on top of a soft, buttery cake. On my skin, the rum is noticable in the dry down but very soft. If you’ve ever been to France, you’ll get it — this isn’t your typical overly sweet, sticky dessert scent. It’s sweet, yes, but in a French luxury way: elegant, grown-up, and balanced with just enough spice. The cinnamon adds a cozy warmth, the coconut and sugary nuts make it creamy and textured, almost like the real thing but elevated. Its not at all a cold weather fragrance, its perfect for spring/summer. As it dries down, it turns into this smooth, cakey vanilla with soft tonka and a clean musk that keeps it from getting too heavy. It’s comforting but still has that luxurious, dressed-up feel. Just a heads up — this stuff is strong. Two sprays max in the start, or you might go nose blind quickly and forget you’re even wearing it (while everyone else definitely knows you are). But when you get the balance right, it’s like wearing the chicest pineapple cake ever. Sweet, cozy, a little flirty, and totally addictive. Its been with me now since 3 days and i had time to test the longevity, sillage and projection. If you tried Opulentia Oud and thought this is a strong fragrance, Gâteau à l'ananas is much stronger, in a very pleasant way, with a huge projection and sillage. PS: Love the new caps, they are much heavier, luxurious and i assume chrystal? Or chrystal like💛? Defin. a great upgrade. All Tomavicci fragrances are inclusive to all genders and unisex, i would say its more on the sweer side however, the boozy rum note with the nuts must smell wonderful on all genders.

These notes provide a balsamic, creamy, and vanilla sweetness, with subtle almond nuances and delicate spicy touches. All rounded out with the purity of musk, anchoring the fragrance and imparting depth and richness to the composition. Personally, this perfume has provided me with a very comforting sensorial and olfactory experience! I can only say that Tomavicci has succeeded again. As I mentioned earlier about Xanat, this perfume is perfect for those seeking a masterfully orchestrated and balanced fragrance, capable of combining sophisticated gourmand sweetness with adult elegance. The diffusion is moderate and the substantivity on my skin reaches 8 hours.

I added 2 bottles of Gâteau à l'Ananas to my collection at excellent low prices . The opening is an indulgent burst of pineapple syrup melting into rich cake batter: luscious, slightly nutty and very gourmand. It feels like dessert with a touch of sophistication. Some claimns it's too much, I don't care, I love it. This is what pineapple fragrances should be like, just like the Garnier Fructis Pineapple Hair Drink - love that too! As it develops, smooth rum accord begins to emerge, turning it into something that reminds me of a tropical tiramisu, minus the cocoa and coffee because this pastry has clearly gone on a beach holiday. Despite its richness, the composition remains remarkably well-balanced and never crosses into cloying territory, to my nose. Performance is outstanding. 8 hours after just 2 sprays, the pineapple is still vibrant, prominent and full of life. The drydown also gives me strong echoes of sugared vanilla in Tihota, which is a delightful surprise and an added bonus. A word of caution: less is definitely more. 1-2 sprays are plenty. 15 sprays would likely overwhelm an entire room and transform this beautiful fragrance into an olfactory safety incident. Fragrance should leave an enticing trail, not trigger an emergency response. I'm especially happy that I managed to secure two bottles, which is probably more than enough to last me a lifetime. As for gender? Completely irrelevant here. If the idea of pineapple-soaked pastry and rum-laced dessert appeals to you, wear it with confidence. Great fragrances don't have boundaries, and neither should the people who enjoy them.

What completely ****es me the **** off about Tomavicci is that they use SUPER CHEAP bottles exactly the same as 'Mocha Wood' and 'Green Sapphire' by Fragrance World TO THE METAL PLATE AND STICKER. I used to own / use both..... they cost $10-15 each! Also the cap is PLASTIC and LIGHT, versus FW that uses METAL CAPS. Lo & behold the fragrances are made in UAE, their bottle (and probably juice) supplier is probably same as Fragrance World. Absolutely unacceptable for this price range of 'Niche'. Get custom made bottles or supply ones that aren't recognisable. For the perfume: yes it's delectable asf. Basically a waffle moist cake dipped in hot caramel with melting vanilla ice cream and topped with some baked pineapple. Pretty linear. Smells 90% the same as Gelatino by Gleam, but that fragrance is more dense and rich without any fruity notes, while this has a bit of airiness to it. Absolutely 0 likeness to Nota Sugar. If you hate pineapple but want the same DNA, get Gelatino. Scent vote: 10/10, Bottle vote 0/10. Worth the price: No, just because the bottle and cap is literally a $10 perfume, bruh

SaroKhan described this perfectly. I don't have much more to add other than my cap is obviously plastic, not heavy, and feels cheap. I guess I didn't get the "upgrade." Beautiful ombre bottle though! A lovely sophisticated gourmand. At first I thought it was going to be too much for me, too sweet and heavy but as she said, it quickly mellows making it an easy wear. The rum and pineapple are top notes and act as such. The rest of the notes are what I experience the most for the majority of the time with drying down. I 100% disagree that this smells anything like Angels Share other than they both have boozy notes and gourmand vibes. Angels' share is like spiced apple pie to me with a glass of cognac. This one is rum soaked pineapple sponge cake with coconut and nut shavings. Big difference to me!

I really enjoy this fragrance. I bought the 10ml bottle because a family member recommended it to me, and I instantly loved it—so much that I ended up buying a full bottle soon after. The opening is a deliciously sweet pineapple vanilla cake that hooks you right away. I love gourmand fragrances like this because they’re versatile and perfect for almost any occasion. I did see a comment about the bottle feeling a bit cheap for the price, and I can understand where that person was coming from. I paid $220 after a discount. That said, I would definitely purchase it again. The only change I would make is regarding a nutty smell that comes off a bit pungent and almost burned to my nose. Other than that, this fragrance is perfect to me. I rate it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5).

Cinnamon and vanilla with rum and a hint of fruit. It’s like Christmas to me in a bottle. But I can see how this would be wearable in warmer months. It’s just nostalgic in its smell to me somehow and so it will be my winter scent for sure. It’s so yummy. And yes okay so the bottle is over priced for plastic cap and it’s mass done in Dubai no doubt but the juice is good. I’m glad it’s in my collection. 💕

I don't know how anyone is getting Angel's Share or Nota Loca from Gateau a l'ananas. This smells like Gleam Gelatino. I am serious, they could almost be dupes of each other they are so close, except Gleam Gelatino doesn't have the pineapple like Gateau a l'ananas.

personally, this is an exciting fragrance to me. it does smell good enough to want to eat (realistic pineapple upside down cake), though i’m afraid the pineapple note is short lived. i still think it’s very fun.

Pineapple cake cooked with rum and darker sugar. So delicious, full bodied cake. Neither too juvenile nor too ‘sophisticated’

I’ve just received my sample and instantly fell in love with this fragrance! Gâteau à l'ananas opens with a boozy rum and pineapple, followed by a nutty coconut cake mix. It absolutely does smell like upside down pineapple cake. I sprayed one spray on my hand and it’s protecting like crazy! The pineapple note still remains the most prominent in the dry down. My sense of smell isn’t even that great and I find this note strong and delicious. This makes me question the authenticity of many people’s samples! The pineapple note couldn’t be any stronger. The only note I don’t smell is the Cinnamon. For me, this reminds me of holidays in the Caribbean bottled! Happy vibes, white sand, clear blue sea, sun-kissed skin and a creamy pina colada in hand. This was an instant full bottle buy for me and I can’t wait to receive it. It’s fun with the perfect amount of sweetness. This is very much a daytime Summer fragrance. I don’t get room spray or candle oil either. It’s just stunning! The hype is justified. I do get why some might compare this to Nota Sugar - L'Addiction, but there’s something about Ulyka fragrances that are so overpoweringly sickening and vile to my nose that I couldn’t scrub those off fast enough! You could say Nota Sugar is Gâteau à l'Ananas ugly sister. They may have slight similarities, but are not anywhere near in the same league! I have Gelatino and also get the comparison to that one. It does smell similar. This is like Gelatino with added Pineapple and rum. The differences are a bit more obvious in the dry down, where Gelatino smells almost minty next to Gâteau à l'Ananas. I’d say if you’re considering buying Gelatino, test this one first. I much prefer Gâteau à l'Ananas and have decided to sell Gelatino to justify my purchase. Both are great fragrances though!

It’s nice. I mean, it’s ultra gourmand and I wanted that pineapple upside down note but it’s there for maybe 30 seconds and it evaporates to leave an über sweet vanilla cake...it’s not bad at all but gâteau à l’ananas is missing its main ingredient...where is the ananas/pineapple?? Longevity is excellent on my skin. 12+ hours Would I purchase this? No. Because if I’m promised something (pineapple upside down) and all I get is cake, I don’t really need it...I’ve got far too many vanilla gourmands in my collection to bother with yet another one...😑

I was hesitant to buy even a sample after reading some reviews. They came out with a 10ml travel spray that I bought. I’ve come to realize, I like so many things others don’t. I do like this one. I get the cake, vanilla tonka,rum,and slight cinnamon scent. I don’t pick up pineapple or coconut.(I’m not an expert) this could be unisex and I don’t find it too overpowering. I usually like scents that enter the room before me and leave a lasting impression. So, I’ll use what I have and decide if I should get a full bottle.

I like this, but I know I'd never reach for it. It's a powdery, sweet vanilla gourmand - I typically shy away from cinnamon and boozy notes, but I find them nice here. The pineapple is not very obvious, but it's present. I usually relate these warm spiced profiles to home fragrance, but I think this one is elegant enough to not be mistaken for Yankee Candle. This, to me, feels very holiday coded. I think I'll pick up a 5 or 10ml of this, but that will last me years.

meant to be a pineapple upside down cake scent, but on me it leans more into a warm, spiced cake with just a hint of pineapple. The fruit is there, but it’s subtle and sits more in the background while the baked, slightly spiced sweetness takes over. It’s a nice scent and easy to wear, just not as bright or fruity as I expected. Overall it’s more of a like than a love for me, and I didn’t reach for it enough to keep it.

Starts off as photorealistic pineapple upside down cake. Boozy, cakey, syrupy. The dry down is mostly moist cake, as the pineapple fades away. Unfortunately the coconut has a very green element to it which I absolutely hate, almost like cilantro, so this is a scrubber for me. I find the sillage to be moderate, but it does last f o r e v e r!

I like this fragrance, but it has a "typical" gourmand scent. I was hoping for something more unique. I really like the pineapple/cinnamon combination, but it is fleeting. I also smell something plastic? My biggest complaint is there is no projection, and it stays on my skin for about two hours.

I just received a sample and need a full bottle. Wow! This is a bright, sweet, delicious desert that I don't mind wearing. I'm not big into, but I absolutely love this. It's straight pineapple, upside down, rum cake. So good, and can easily be worn year round!

If Nota Sugar & Mirage Gourmand had a love child. You get that delicious fresh pineapple syrup and that edible realistic nutty cake. It’s very heavy & I think it would eat (no pun intended) in the cold weather.

I’ll preface this by saying I almost never like foodie gourmands because they’re almost always overly synthetic and plasticky to my nose. I was so excited when I put this on and the opening was just fresh pineapples and cake - finally, maybe one I’ll love! It lasted about ten minutes then the rum and synethic mess came in and completely took over the entire composition. Rum and screechiness, that’s all I’m getting after an hour or so. Where did the pineapple go?! If I could find a fragrance that’s just like the opening of this one for the entire duration of the wear, I would be in heaven.

Even though there is no butter or popcorn listed, this smells similar to the popcorn note in L'eau de Parfum Cirque du Soleil, I don't get pineapple either, sadly. It's very food-like; it's missing some citrus or a fruity smell to balance it out. To me it's cake batter, if you like that kind of thing. Longevity is great, even after a shower, I could still smell it, and I only put 2 sprays on. Too cloying for hot weather. Has some similarity to La Danza delle Libellule Nobile 1942, but not as pretty.

Underwhelming. I don’t get pineapple. I get nutty vanilla cake but nothing unique really. Forgettable. I do get the comparison to Sol de Janeiro 71, however I prefer 71 as that one has a bit of saltiness to offset the gourmand notes and this one is more linear and just meh.

I like this fragrance but I had a reaction to it and broke out in hives on my wrist where I sprayed it. Needless to say I will not be getting a full bottle...

This is a fun sweet scent, but more appropriate in a candle/air freshener form. I like to smell it, but I don't want to smell like it.

I am so going to be the minority on this one. This fragrance smells like a pot of mish mosh notes (all the current hyped notes). The scent is not smooth - it is chunky, maybe even broad shouldered - in fact, it is like a big robust women trying to fit into a Size 6. This is not a horrible fragrance and it is not bad - BUT it is BULKY.

Pineapple upside-down cake?? More like rum-soaked regret. Strong as hell, loud as a club, and somehow forgot the pineapple. I said no thanks with my whole chest.

Just received my sample and to me this is too similar to Nota Sugar. Maybe a tad bit sweeter but not a full bottle worth.

Smells like Mr. Clean or Lysol with some sweetness. Not for me.

I’m not the target audience for this (not a foodie gourmand lover) so keep that in mind when reading this. I’ve smelled much better foodie gourmands though that I can confidently say. This is a mess to my nose. A whole lot of rum that drowns out the other notes, just awful. It’s very thick, cloying and unashamedly synthetic. I can’t imagine where one would want to wear this. I don’t get a lot of pineapple and if it is there, it’s the super artificial air freshener kind. Definitely not for me.

Maybe on a woman this would be perceived completely differently but on my man skin, this is..... horrible. 'The elegance of French patisserie' says the brief... but there's nothing elegant (or French) about trashy American pineapple upside-down cake. Also, the bottles are cheapppppppppp feeling. Some very interesting compositions in the range, but this one is a dud for me. But try it! Maybe you do want to smell like popcorn?

Dubai combo influencers were hyping this stuff non stop... It smells like a pineapple car freshener mixed with a vanilla cake candle...very heavy and cheap smelling scent. Influencers with paid Dubai trips, receiving comi$$ions from sketchy brands...they are not the best people to trust....they are hyping horrible scents just because they are getting big benefit$$ This is awful.

I don’t get too much pineapple , I get more gourmond / dense notes . I sprayed myself and walked by my daughter and she said , you smell like a cinnamon Bundt cake .. I’m not mad about it lol but I wanted something a little more unique and I have a lot of gourmonds in my collection and this one didn’t captivate me .

This is a boozy fruity sweet cake. It might be a little too realistic and sweet for me. I've got it sprayed on the stick and can't smell anything else despite wearing the strong new Christian Louboutin rose fragrance. It's VERY strong. Ilm nit sure this one will make it on my skin.

Just blind bought it, I hope it lives up to the hype! UPDATE: It's fantastic. This is my spring summer gourmand, now I need Angels Share for fall and winter.
