Sweet Coffin

Those are not the notes described on the website, so here they are: Top Notes: Willow Bark, Apricot Middle Notes: Moldy Cedarwood, Nutmeg Base Notes: Dead Water The dead water is, to my nose, pretty strong, but it's not some kind of gruesome, stale water; it's like something evocative of Ophelia, like a nice little puddle of still water with some withered flowers and a touch of "it's been there for a while". The nutmeg is also pretty easy to detect. Apricot is a weird note for me; I can't really fight it ; I love it even if I could not, for the life of me, describe what an apricot is supposed to smell like. The whole is a mysterious fragrance, elegant, and weird enough to be memorable. It's not the kind of perfume only someone who really loves niche fragrances could wear; it's subtle, and I agree with the comment below; it's atmospheric. Really beautiful and one of my two favorites from the line.

Strong earthy opening, very much like fresh soil right after rain. The florals are there early on but stay subtle, just adding a slight sweetness without taking away from that grounded, damp, dirty feel. As it dries down, the sweetness from the florals comes out a bit more and the woody notes start to show, while the soil note fades a little into the background. It becomes smoother and a little more balanced over time. Wasn’t my favorite on first sniff, but it definitely grew on me. If you’re not into more artistic scents with prominent dirt notes, this probably won’t be for you.

This doesn't smell like a perfume. It smells like a scene. Cold gray stone, faded flowers, damp air, and a faint sweetness. I don't perceive notes the way I do with traditional fragrances...I perceive an atmosphere. The image in my mind is a corpse resting peacefully in a stone coffin, holding a bouquet of flowers. Not pleasant but unforgettable. I didn't think an indie house could pull off something this artistic. Tombstone Fragrances completely surprised me with this one. 💀🥀⚰️

The smell of flowers on a grave.

I was really hoping for a putrefying liquid...along with rotten flowers, but I smell more like the lacquered wood of a coffin. Still, a great scent, but the price is too high for masterpieces like Death and Decay, But Not Today, and Fathom V. Poor performance. 6.5/10
