Tommy Bahama for Her

My fellow Fragranticans, I have niche brands and very expensive House brands, (that I love) but sometimes you can't turn your nose up from the little guy because you can be happily surprised! I have to tell the truth, I really love this one. It's so easy. Definitely evokes the idea of fun summer times! Have you ever been out somewhere and you're wearing a fabulous expensive perfume but then someone passes you by wearing something that you know isn't as posh as yours but smells so good and you get a little perfume jealousy thing going on? Well this Tommy Bahama for Her is that perfume! Pick this one up, you won't be sorry.

YES!!! This is wonderful on me! I love it! May be my signature fragrance for 2016! Just got it as a Mother's Day gift! BF bought it at Marshall's and I am so happy he decided on it as I have never sampled it before, just a blind buy on his part! Sweet (but not overly), yummy floral (honeysuckle) and a bit powdery with not the best longevity or sillage though. May have to spray a couple sprays on yourself every few hours if you want to really have it be noticed by others. Worth it for the price (about $25 at Marshalls) for quite a lot 3.4 fl oz. The bottle is pretty too! Like I said, worth trying

I’m newer to collecting perfumes, but I absolutely love this fragrance. It’s an amazing price, but beyond that it’s a deliciously sweet heliotrope/lactonic scent that lasts on me all day. I feel comfortable wearing this one anywhere - from office, to date night, to just lounging around. This perfume can go between warm and cooler weather. It lasts a long time on me too. I’m a fan!

I am in love with this fragrance! It is so pretty and distinctive, with a beautiful mandarin-musk combination, and the vanilla and praline make it a lovely creamy floral. I had sprayed this just on my wrist in store, and then on the train a woman asked me what the delightful smell was. I'm saving up to get my own bottle, and I can't wait! Lovely all year round.

My sister currently owns this and I love when she sprays it on and smell that sweet, vanilla-praline combo (which is the main stick out to my nose). It gets me hooked every time. It's perfect for all weather, all year, all occasions. Considering she doesn't wear perfume that much, it's always a treat when she does.

This is very pretty. All the notes are light and well blended. You get the fruity notes in the top but they’re not overly strong, then you start to get a bit of the delicate floral notes, followed by the sweetness of the praline and vanilla, although it’s not sickly sweet or overly vanilla! Really well done and smooth. The patchouli and musk give it a bit of an earthy base but are very delicate and not easy to detect. I try to always compare to other mentioned fragrances mentioned in my collection, and I have Juicy couture. It is very similar, a tad less sweet but the dry down is prettier with the TH for her. It is the perfect scent for every day use. It’s a soft feminine scent that I can’t imagine anyone not liking. I have Betsy Johnston also so I’ll compare those too and add it later. Ok, a few hours later, tried Betsy Johnston, the top is way more citrus but the dry downs are pretty darn close. Also, juicy couture is pretty faded but TH for her is still detectable, but soft and lovely. All three of these are pretty safe bets-overall pleasant fruity florals that are generally well liked.

I can't claim the most sophisticated nose because I never pay more than $40 for any fragrance, having to make them all blind buys because of where we live, plus living on a fixed income, but I'll tell you my thoughts. At first, I thought, meh, what is this? Boring. After about 20 minutes, I sniffed and it has transformed into a lightly warm sweet gourmand perfect for summer. I looked for something in my collection to layer it with and found it in Jimmy Choo Vanilla Love dupe oil-both have an apple note, only ones in my collection with apple. It was less than $20 for a large bottle and I'm not entirely mad at it because the drydown redeems it for me, being a gourmand lover at heart. Adding almost a year later that I used the entire bottle summer 2023 and just purchased a new one for this summer 2024. The drydown is worth it and the small price is a plus.

This smells very similar to Viva la Juicy, Love Diane by DVF, (very similar) and Endless Weekend by BBW. It’s very pleasant, and most people I know that have smelled it enjoy it. On me the longevity is moderate, but it sits very close to the skin and has little projection. However, my best friend wears this and the projection on her is much stronger. I bought mine for about $18 at Nordstrom Rack. I’ve also seen it for slightly more at TJ Maxx. Overall, it’s good and I enjoy having it in my collection. I find that it is a good "dumb reach" fragrance. I also think that this would work anytime of the year.

I picked this up at Perfumania for $20 it was part of a Managers Special if you spent so much, and there were other fragrances of different varieties to choose from so the sales lady was sampling them with us to upsell our ticket. I'm very thankful she did, as I really enjoy the fume, the bottle, and the price was right! She asked me if I liked Kenneth Cole White before giving me the test strip, and I told her I owned a bottle and it does remind me of that fragrance. I'll wear them side buy side and do an updated review, but all in all I am very happy with this acquisition.

Opened very tart and citrusy, then it started settling into the floral powdery heliotrope, and creamy musk... After a good 15min, I’m finally getting that toasty praline! The patchouli is just giving depth, barely noticeable and that’s a plus for me. All in all, beautifully blended! Feminine, powdery, clean and slightly warm/sweet. For the $20+ it was a good blind buy. It kind of performs like a body mist more than a perfume, but I don’t mind reapplying at all. It’s softly projected, non-offensive and appropriate for daily use, or layering etc.

I got this last summer (blind buy) and I like it a lot! Honeysuckle,vanilla and praline are the main notes I pick up. Its lasts pretty long on me and anytime I've worn this I've gotten compliments!! **This is a nice springtime scent but I wear it year round and in the winter on dull gray days this one is a nice pick me up kinda scent!!

I wish this projected more because it's a really good daytime/hot weather gourmand and I don't encounter a lot of those.

This perfume is amazing. It is similar to Betsy Johnson.It's sweet but not overly sweet.

I get more sweet candy instead of sweet vanilla with this fragrance. The background floral and citrus notes make this a sweet tropical scent to my nose. It is a good summer and daytime fragrance. I bought it because I thought the bottle was beautiful, but I never reach for it. It is an OK fragrance but I have other sweet fragrances and tropical fragrances that I like more. The dry down is much better than first sniff. First sniff is offensive to my nose, which is probably why I never use it. It makes me sneeze, is slightly headache inducing and for some reason I get a cat urine scent. Dry down is nice though and is reminiscent to viva la juicy. But trying to downsize my collection so this one has to go.

My first perfume that I begged my parents to get me when I was in middle school. Hasn't aged that well, it might suit someone younger than me at this point, doesn't last all that long and doesn't have much complexity or depth, just vague floral sweetness.

This was said in the comment right below me, but I feel like this smells like Kenneth Cole White. However, I feel like it smell less powdery (which I like). If I am correct, the two are the same price and this one smells better. You definitely don't need both.

A nicely blended sweet and fruity fragrance, but the performance is disappointing. Even though it’s affordable, I can’t justify repurchasing it due to the longevity and projection. I’d rather opt for a Middle Eastern fragrance for better performance.

Pretty and well blended. Weak sillage and longevity. I have a 30 ml bottle and will not repurchase when it is gone. I don't recommend unless you like reapplying every 1-2 hours.

Aquatic and gourmands don't mix.....

I was pregnant when I bought this back in 2016. I was truly, exponentially very nauseated from it. I can remember the way this smells by the way my body automatically needs to gag. I get the nausea kind that sits right between the eyes. Ugh *shiver*. I don't know why I feel this way about this - initially it was really nice. I could have sworn I read this had the note star anise in here based on the packaging. Anyway- I absolutely hate this .

I smelled it in a Tommy Bahama store before and thought it was nice but not mind blowing. If you like sweet vanilla gormands, this is a good one. I didn't love it enough to pay full price so I walked away. Then I seen it at TJ Maxx for 14.99. SOLD! Its very sweet and all I smell is vanilla and praline. What gardenia? What fruit notes? Aren't nothing happening there but vanilla and praline. If you don't like those two notes, don't bother with it. Bottle is cute and pink and girly, lasting power is several hours so overall its a nice scent PS it also reminds me of Burberry Brit.

The notes look so promising but the fragrance itself is very chemical smelling. It is light but can't detect any notes, just a blast of headache inducing chemical that never gets any better. I have tried this for years, I finally gave up and gave it away. The other one I had from this house did the exact same thing. I won't be purchasing any fragrances from Tommy Bahama anymore. The last two were so chemically it made me nauseated with a pounding headache. Sickening fragrances.

Hear me out! At first spray, I thought NO way.. what a blind buy fail! It was a nauseating, synthetic, powdery, nose wrinkler. But the dry down... I had sprayed a tester strip and left it on my table. When I walked by an hour later, I did a double-take. The scent had transformed into a yummy, summer gourmand. Exactly what I was searching for! It does pull through with some resemblance of viva la juicy, but a bit less fresh. For the price, it's a win!

BLIND BUY at T.J. Mish-Mosh. $19.99. ----------- After reading all the good reviews on here--I spritzed-- and was let down. I am a fan of most Tommy Bahama frags and this is my first "lady" scent by the brand. Fruity --yes--but these days that's not so hard to find. My main issue was the dry-down on this one; very basic /bland "body spray" smell. Kinda sickly one at that. This is going into the frag graveyard OR a swap/resell . Sorry Tommy.

I was looking for the perfect floral vanilla scent for Summer and I found it. This is light but in a graceful way. The longer it sits on my skin, the more pleasant it gets. The pink bottle is so pretty with a pearl in the glass. I am definitely going to buy a back up bottle. Love, love, lovely!!!! P.S. thank you for all the encouraging comments to pick this up! I can always count on you fragrant loving fragranticans. Kudos!!

First of all, I couldn’t resist the beautiful bottle that reminds me on Ariel’s grotto with that forced perspective and pearl! It’s a nice vanilla gourmand fragrance with a hint of citrus. To me it smells like the Aria in Vegas haha and the dry down on my skin is reminiscent of Flowerbomb. It’s a like not a love, but it is definitely a comforting tropical vanilla scent and worth the $20 I spent for the biggest bottle!

This fragrance is definitely a sweet one. But not cloyingly so. The very opening reminds me strongly of Betsey Johnson's 'Betsey Johnson'. You can smell the lovely praline, vanilla, and mandarin orange. A few moments after the scent settles on the skin, I get wafts of apple and honeysuckle. This fragrance is pretty, light, and feminine. If you like sweet floral scents, this one is for you.

This was the perfume that convinced me never to blind buy again. Blah vanilla body spray. It's like one of Walgreen's "knock-off" perfumes. Like a little girl's pretend perfume. Sprayed it, made me sad, literally five minutes later it was gone, and I was happy again.

I tried this in the store and it reminded me of my Lempicka. Unfortunately once I got it home it began to sweeten up too much on me and became overpowering. I now prefer the lotion and usually spray the perfume somewhere other than my neck or decolletage.

Summery flirty vanilla. Not too strong, hence the whole beachy vibe. Cuz, seriously, who goes to the beach smelling all to high heaven. Beach resort is supposed to be airy and light. So for its image and purpose, its very nice. And not expensive at all...

The bottle is sooooooo cute, first of all. I get vanilla and this aquatic note, it reminds me of a chlorinated pool and innertubes with this certain kick that doesn’t make it feel all too childish. It’s alright.

Love the smell, but doesn't last long. For the price, its a great perfume. This is probably the closest dupe to the Sol de Janerio body mist.

It's nice not strong at all but sometimes gives me the cough syrup smell but in a good way but not that great am bit disappointed

Starts off with a fresh, clean, and sweet mandarin, then goes straight heavy vanilla cupcake. :( Anyone interested in swapping?

lovely, LOVELY light tropical scent, but gone in less than an hour. Nuts. :(

On first spray I get the same scent as Beyond Romance by Ralph Lauren

I love the gardenia in this fragrance. Truly beautiful.

Smells exactly like Amika Hairspray.
