Impact

I received a sample of this with my latest online purchase. Impact smells so late 90's/early 2000 that if you're 40 something like me you can't avoid the nostalgia effect. I have to admit that the first thing I thought upon smelling it was "Boss Bottle". So I went to retrieve my trusted BB miniature and made a side by side comparison. Verdict: not so similar after all, and although I don't esclude that Bottled may have served as an inspiration, I think that the style this perfume was made plays a bigger role in suggesting this comparison than the actual similarities in the two formulas do. However, if you really can't let go of the idea that this is Hilfinger's take on Boss Bottle, I'd say this is Bottled made better. Also, Impact has an incensy facet that gives me some Gucci pour Homme vibes. I don't see nieche-only collectors elbowing their way through the crowd to get a bottle of this, but if you don't have ultra exclusive tastes this is a pretty solid release and a very comforting scent - ESPECIALLY if you feel that nostalgic connection I mentioned before. This is also a perfect scent to wear on a date: it's very "huggable" and I wouldn't be surprised if you found her/his head resting on your shoulder by the end of the movie...

Sprayed it on at Tommy Hilfiger store on a whim, I wasn't expecting to be blown away but this was so good I bought it the next day. This is very reminiscent of Hugo Boss Bottled but cleaned up and more modern. The apple, woods and vanilla is very present here, it has that apple pie style that is so memorable from Boss Bottled, removed the cinnamon and made more versatile for all four seasons. I also detect hints of La Nuit de L'homme/Ferragamo F Black in the drydown. Projection and longevity is actually quite good. I was not expecting a Tommy summer fragrance to be a good performer so it was a very welcome surprise. If you like boss bottled you might enjoy this.

This is quite good. I cherished the sample vial for a few months eager to get hold of a full bottle. Got my 100ml EDT(Plus a cute little 4ml built-in travel spray in the cap) today and its a unique and pleasing perfume, shining more in its dry down than in its synthetic opening. Mid and dry-down has good strong Pepper + pure green stem/leaf note of wild rose also which I found unique (no rose-flower note thankfully). Later found out that one of the creators is Jacques Huclier (I like some of his blends). In no way am I able to relate this to Boss Bottled or Ferragamo-F or any of the usual blue perfumes in anyway. Longevity is around 4 hrs max.

Unexpected result for what it could have just been a small synthetic perfume... easy to wear but above all, that stands out. It seems natural, simple and even gourmand. Its spectrum going from bitter fresh to discreet fruity gourmand is quite broad. Very versatile on the skin and depending on the context, it knows how to offer different facets... in rainy or hot weather, during the day or in the evening it is different... a nice surprise that finds its place at home between L'eau D'Ikar, Oud Maracuja, Nuit de Megève, Aventus and all my other perfumes from another range...

Impact Intense seems to get more hype in the fragrance community, so I tested it first in a store and didn't really like it, but that turned around over time to loving it. I now pulled the trigger on Impact Intense and out of interest, I also added the normal Impact to my order as a blind buy. I wasn't expecting much. But damn. I love the woody freshness this has. It is a freshness of a kind that I haven't smelled in this way before and I am digging it, because I seem to be a lover of woody scents in general. The fruityness in the opening is a nice addition.

I love the first fragrance from Tommy, I wouldn't exchange it for any other brands. When I tried this new fragrance, I thought was a copy from the original Hugo Boss. However the impact smells lovely and last longer but the most amazing thing is the bottle. Modern and original and very Tommy Hilfiger.

One of the best fragrances I've ever owned! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to enjoy it for long since it broke. It has the perfect blend of everything. The only downside is the longevity—a scent like this deserves a performance boost, something on par with brands like Nishane, Narcotic, or Tom Ford.

This is a like a 10/10 fresh summer scent to me. I feel like it’s a nod to the nineties somehow. Only thing is that it’s too light to fight.. but it’s delicious! Fragrantica stop sleeping. There is a new flanker to this called ”spark”.

Afrutado, fresco y amaderado, combinación simplemente deliciosa, con excelentes prestaciones, y un precio ridículamente barato para la calidad que tiene, me parece una excelente alternativa si lo que buscas es un perfume versatil

This is marvellous. Youthful, fresh summer banger. Great release, better than reformulated Tommy right now.

Very apparent woody note with a suttle weetness to it.

Impact Eau de Toilette was launched in 2020 and had a market strategy divided by regions. First, it was distributed in countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, in March this year. Then it left for the Americas and Southeast Asia in late August. The advertising campaign was also not unique to all markets. The singer James Bay was the face of the global campaign, the German singer Wincent Weiss was the face in Germany, the composer Carl Brave was the face in Italy, while Sebástian Yatra dominated the campaign in the Latin market. The inspiration and concept – which involved musicians – came from Tommy's love for the musical universe, from the times of Jimmy Hendrix, The Who, and Rolling Stones. Impact's fragrance has a very rich composition in terms of ingredients, although what we see posted around seems very minimalist. In the head, we have apple, grapefruit, Italian bitter orange Orpur® , Italian bergamot Orpur®, pink pepper Orpur® , and green coca leaf. In the body, notes of elemi resin, French cypress Orpur®, clary sage, and Spanish labdanum Orpur® were combined. In the base, a combo of cedarwood Orpur®, Virginia cedar Orpur®, Texas cedar Orpur®, as well as amber, musk, sandalwood, and Akigalawood®. The bottle of Impact also made a good impression, with a modern design, a T-shaped cap (by Tommy), and a secret compartment that houses a small spray with 4 ml of fragrance. Without a doubt, a great idea and a look far superior to what we were used to. Impact has a fragrance classified as woody and aromatic. However, on the skin, it works more like a woody-fruity scent, with some smoky nuances and versatile style. The output is very pleasant and makes the sale of the product by itself. There is a lot of presence of the orange, the apple does not go unnoticed (although little publicized) and the citrus fruits bring a bath of juiciness. But don't think of a citrus green-colored smell. Here, we have the vivid idea of a yellow-orangy juice. With evolution, Impact's fragrance starts to show itself more resinous, almost oriental. In a moment, you feel something balsamic; in another, something like incense. And the drying brings a very creamy and light woody accord. Finally, with IMPACT, the brand leaves its comfort zone, represented by its numerous aromatic, daytime, and versatile fragrances. However, it sinned by not daring, something that everyone expected and that the market has allowed. That's because, truth be told, the countless comparisons to the Boss Bottled (Hugo Boss) fragrance are not without foundation. The difference, however, is that the latter was launched more than two decades ago. And as much as I don't like to draw comparisons, I will list the main differences that I could notice, okay? Impact's fragrance is more succulent, while the other opens up fruity and dry, almost crunchy; Impact's evolution is smokier, while the other is spicier; Impact’s drying is more youthful and dense, while the other is soberer and with salty facets; Impact projects much more in the beginning, while the other exudes more, even after six hours on the skin. In short, it is unnecessary to have both perfumes on the same shelf at the same time. Side by side, they really look a lot and have similar performance. In my opinion, it is a matter of taste. But I leave here a real testimony: by identification with the brand, personally, I would choose the competitor's perfume. But now, knowing the fragrance, I prefer Impact.

I've actually never owned a Hilfiger perfume, nor have I found them interesting enough to purchase. With that in mind, I have regularly bought and worn their clothes as I find them of a decent quality and design. So, last week I was in a Hilfiger store looking for a new pair of jeans when - lo and behold - the store had reserved an entire table for presenting the new Impact perfume. Long story short, when I left the store I was equipped also with a minuscule tester (0.3 ml - who the h*ll makes samples that small !?) of Impact. Fast forward to earlier today I managed to test the meager 3 (!!) sprays that were in the sample, and my impression so far is : not that bad. As in - it's really hard to dislike. It doesn't come across to me as the usual "blue" fragrance that the bottle indicates, more in the vein of your typical night time popular fragrances. What I get is some sort of lemony opening, woods, akigalawood, and ambery ambroxan but quite subtle as well as pleasant. I have honestly no idea have coca smells, but I do get some sweetish cocoa-like wafts every now and then - is that coca? I've heard it should smell like tea. So yes, it is generic and performance (at least from my dwarfish sample) is not impressive but my overall impression is ok. Would I buy it? No, IMO there are dozens of better perfumes in the same price range as the atmosphere is somewhere in Boss Bottled/YSL La Nuit territory and should be categorized as woody spicy instead of aromatic fruity - but that's just my opinion. But what I do like is the idea of the bottle with a refillable atomizer that you can bring along - which may also be necessary with the quite low performance of Impact. Not too bad, but I must say the Hilfiger perfume line still hasn't made anything that I could not live without.

I had a small sample vial of Tommy Impact EdT lying around since December last year and I only found the time now to have some proper wear. And I like it! The opening is very much fruity-sweet (some say apple, but I don't smell apple at all, although it might be me - see below), with some citrus notes which made me think of sweet orange mixed with spices you would usually add to winter treats (cinnamon, clove). Ten minutes in, I get what this scent reminded me of - and not only me apparently: this is Boss Bottled by Hugo Boss. Maybe not an exact copy, but very much alike in style, smell and idea. And, similarly, I don't get any apple or apple pie vibe :D Specifically, this reminded me of the EdP Intense or, better, how I would have liked the EdP Intense to smell: a slightly sweeter and slightly stronger version (which is kinda ironic, considering Impact is an EdT). Going into the drydown, this becomes a cozy amber-woody fragrance, with some creamy savoury nuances and lots of spices. For me Impact is not a fresh fragrance at all and not really suitable in the summer heat - more for spring and fall. Highly likeable, easy to wear and will pull you compliments; probably a bit redundant if you already have any Boss Bottled juice. If I had to choose, though, I think I'd go with Impact. Good performance (6/7 hours with a few more as a skin scent), not a huge scent trail but the scent bubble will make up for it. My sample has batch code CB9 from November 2019. Very decent like.

The first time I saw the “T” shaped cap, I honestly thought I’d bought a teenager’s cologne. But the moment I held it in my hand, I changed my mind: the glass is thick, heavy, and you can tell there’s real quality behind the design, not just a gimmick. As for the scent, it’s synthetic, sure, but the good kind of synthetic, the kind that doesn’t feel cheap. It opens fresh and fruity, and as the minutes pass it settles into a woody base that reminds me a lot of Hugo Boss Bottled, with that classic, masculine vibe that never really goes out of style. What I like most is how versatile it is. I’ve worn it to work, out at night, dressed down and dressed up, and it never feels out of place or overwhelming. It’s one of those scents that just doesn’t fail, no matter the occasion. If you’re just starting your fragrance collection, this is a safe bet for me: it delivers, it doesn’t disappoint, and you won’t get tired of it.

I know there's an intense version of this, which I haven't tried yet but honestly I wonder how potent that's going to be considering this TH Impact is already on steroids. Really quite strong and for a pleasant smell like this, there's no complaint whatsoever. Reminds me of Hugo Boss Bottled original for sure. Very close DNA, albeit with a tad more sweetness, woodiness and depth with TH. 8.9/10 don't ask me where the 0.1 went? :P Edit: Hold on! After continuous use, am I getting a PDM Layton vibe here? The peppery intro of Layton is in TH somewhere for sure

This is going to sound insane but please hear me out, this reminds me of a more mature, less whimsical version of Spicebomb Infrared EDP I done know what it is, maybe the citruses of this fragrance, over the warm, playful, spicy notes of SBI-EDP create this but that's the vibe I got, obviously the woody and amber notes are carried over but I don't know, am I crazy. anyway this is well priced and lasts awhile. id also like to note I haven't smelt hundreds upon hundreds of fragrances and I don't think I have a brilliant nose.

I’ve been testing Tommy Hilfiger Impact on my skin for three consecutive days, and I have to say, I’m genuinely impressed. The scent is beautiful and very pleasant. I honestly didn’t expect this level of performance from a fragrance at this price point. For me, it has a warm touch while still being a fresh summer fragrance, which makes it really unique. It’s calm, smooth, and easy to wear—perfect for daily use. I can already tell it’s going to be one of my favorite fragrances this summer from my collection. 8/10

I can agree with that, Tommy Hilfiger isn’t famous for its fragrances, but this one is special for me. I smelled this in the airport’s duty free and I know that I need this. This is a light fragrance, it’s an EDT, but stays on my skin for 8-9 hours, it’s not weak at all. I’m using this as an everyday frag, when I’m in a hurry. Best for the summer time. I can recommend to everyone, but first try out, because it’s not a unique smell, you can find better options, but I can’t tell why, I really like this frag.

The ingredients shown here are lacking the red apple. This fragrance is all about apple and wood. You don't notice the other notes much. Dry down is wood and apple again. It's like smelling an apple left in a wooden cupboard. I would have liked it BUT the apple note smells exactly like the apple note in a cheap Boss imitating fragrance. This is why I just had to return it. If you don't know this you can enjoy it a lot. The apple and wood notes are almost eternal.

Tommy Impact is a strong like for me. Nothing complex. What you get is a vibrant masculine fragrance that is centered around some strong synthetic accords. Notable is a sharp woodiness, citrus, and apple accords. I think this release might've gotten lost in the shuffle. Overall, I like. It's easy to wear during warmer months. The projection on this scent is phenomenal but only performs for a few hours, which is good enough for me.

I don't really smell any citruses here at all, to me it is a sweet fragrance, one that is very comforting and calming. It has a nice projection and moderate longevity (around 6 hours) on me. Great fall fragrance.

A woody, sweet scent that is quite nice and versatile, but nothing special. I can totally smell the similarities with Boss bottled. Longevity is good (6-8 hrs), but projection is more like a personal bubble.

Very interesting fragrance. Nice and woody, as if you are smelling a pine forest. Very nice summer fragrance that is strong and projects like crazy. Develops into a sweeter scent as the day goes on

Impact reminds me of Boss Bottled but with a more citrus leaning opening, followed by a heavy dose of spices such as cardamom. It performs well, and is very mass pleasing. 8/10

Sharp woody sweet citrus scent, Excellent for the summer months... Mediocre longevity and sillage

I kind of like it. It's simple and casual. Reminds me of my childhood when me and my mom used to go to the supermarket and at the entrance there was those machines that you put in a coin and twist the handle and two fairly large bubblegum balls would come out. This smell EXACTLY like those bubblegums....and that's maybe why like it...Nostalgia:) Edit: The drydown is kind of a letdown for me this smell 100% like Boss bottled. Shame because I really liked the opening.

Very peppery and smells like a humidor full of cigars. Not blind buy safe. After putting on skin it does have a kick of fresh citrus mixed in with all this wood. When its dry it is all wood though. Smells unique and different but not a scent that I enjoy enough to wear. Almost smells like brown brick weed that we smoked in high school. This one is just weird to me but if you like woods in extreme doses this might be ok for you. 5/10

I bought it after the first sniff. Very nice fragrance But it does not project at all. Its so close to skin that I can only smell if I put my nose on it.. So there is no use of a great fragrance that no one can smell..... May be that's why they released the intense version so soon..

I find it a bit citrus the first 5 minutes, then it becomes very musky and ambery. It's clean and easy to use. But I don't think it is a blue fragrance. It's versatile, but it's mostly musky and sweet.

This comes across very peppery for me, and I don't like I doubt I'll wear this fragrance much considering my collection and other options available to me.

Decent offering for the sauvage target audience, drydowns nice sweet wood opening screechyish synthetic citrus, made for younger guys

TESTED IT BOTH ON ME AND MY PARTNER, AND IT’S A HARD NO. THE WOOD NOTE IS VERY ARTIFICIAL AND RESINOUS AND I CAN’T SMELL ANYTHING ELSE. BUT I HAD THE SAME REACTION WITH “BY THE FIREPLACE” FROM MAISON MARGIELA, SO CHANCES ARE IF YOU LIKE THAT ONE, YOU MIGHT LIKE THIS ONE AS WELL.

Very heavy fragrance. If you like the scent (heavy sweet & woody), then you'd be really happy with this since the performance is amazing! Stays on the whole day, definitely fills a room! My SO really liked it while I was happy when it finally washed off. Don't blind buy this.

got a sample and it just smells like dry wood and sweat kinda. smells like a construction worker who put too much axe on his body after working for 4 hours straight doesnt worth the money, rather go for something more soft like versace pour homme for that price

Wow this smells exactly how you would imagine a generic mall fragrance to smell like. It's just 'generic' and 'boring', nothing else.

Quite peppery, synthetic smelling. Performance is average. 3/10.

This is a review for Tommy Hilfiger Impact Spark, the new flanker for 2022 since there currently isn't a page for it and hopefully someone may stumble onto this looking for it, once a page has been created I will move it to there: So, a release that has gone massively under the radar I think, dropped without any fanfare or excitement, Impact Spark may well be a hidden gem, now and forever at the rate it is spoken about. Being a fan of the original impact formula I took a punt on it straight away, its an ever so slightly spicier yet still smooth silky woody fragrance and really utilises that impact dna and takes it to the next level, since wearing it it has been my most complimented fragrance. The sillage and longevity don't quite seem to equal the original and intense versions, but I would pick spark up before either of those, it isn't particularly special, but it is a massive people pleaser, and extremely pleasant to wear! I would incite people to pick it up while they can as I fear with how little it has been spoken of, its life span may not be so long!

Is there anything better than a wonderful scent to transport us back in time? I had this sensation recently, and accidentally, with Tommy Impact (bought in error, I meant to purchase Impact Intense!). Though, luckily for me, it immediately took me back to my college days in 1994/95 - only (and quite obviously) it wasn't this fragrance I was wearing at that time... it was Minotaure, by Paloma Picasso. I recently bought a bottle of Minotaure, a year or so ago, just for old times sake but it was sooo different to how it used to be - it had obviously been re-formulated in the intervening years, now smelling more like furniture polish. Though after smelling Impact, I was immediately whisked back to the mid 90's... wonderful memories of nights out, enjoying the creation of legend with friends, and that peak of youth that can never be replicated. THIS was the scent I'd be craving to smell once again — THIS had been my signature scent (until Le Eau d'Issey turned my head for the remainder of the 90's) only now it has been reincarnated, in Tommy Impact.

Tried yesterday in store. Very generic and as someone said above, the epitome of a mall fragrance. It was nice but very in your face. At first I thought 'ooh this has something a little different' but alas no after a few seconds or a couple of minutes at best it had morphed into sweet, clubby, teen genericy. I could wear it but I won't, too sickly for me and too sugar sweet. Smells absolutely nothing like Boss Bottled BTW, zero. I cannot stand Boss Bottled but this is wearable to me whereas BB is not.Not just that, it literally smells nothing like it so if you go in with that misconception you will be disappointed. A no brainer no for me.

I got a sample of this with a purchase, it smells fresh and last quite long. I really like the smell, i wonder if the intense version has the same smell but stronger. Then I'm thinking of purchasing the intense. Or i might just purchase this one. I'm confused between this and spicebomb extreme.

Akaigala wood is also in a miumiu scent u believe where it is very peppery. In impact i getba lovely freshscent, which doesn't feel wood heavy. I will skin test again. Femme here, likes femme and hnisex andskme male ajmed scents I find tommy and Calvin both do decent freshies

Starts off sweet on first spray then quickly turns woody but it’s really nice. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as I do but it’s good. The woody notes aren’t too much which I’m glad about’ they’re done really well. I never enjoy things from TH but this one is a keeper

Ugh, yeah, this one is disappointing. The name is great and I love the bottle (the hidden travel spray in the cap is genius and very well-done). But the scent is completely bland and generic. Just a derivative, overly commercial mess. Pass.

This really smells like a hybrid version of Boss Bottled and an intense version of Versace Pour Homme. There's a tad bit of diapers smell in TH Impact. If you like it, then good for you. Class and gentlemanly fragrance.

Although cardamom is not mentioned in the notes breakdown, but the combination of spices in there does remind me of that. I find it quite similar to la nuit de l’homme eau de toilette.

It’s just perfect. It smells different than most mainstream fragrances out there though it will remind you some old school fragrances, like Hugo Boss Bottled. Performance is great.

Something about this or the intense version reminds me of Dior Bois D’Argent in the opening. I’m not sure which one it is
