Tommy Summer 2021

I got it this fragrance at T-K-MAXX. 99% the same as Tommy into the Surf. A pleasing enough fragrance but also the embodiment of generic. It smells like they just sort of threw a bunch of overdone notes at a wall and came up with this, which probably sounds worse than I mean it to, but it's one of the things that came to mind when writing this. I would say that it's a perfectly likeable scent and if you want something that makes you smell good, without anything to really make you stick out, this is your scent. I probably sound like I hate it, but I really don't. It's nice. But that's about it.

A fresh, spicy, easy summer reach with a little bite to it. The sage and added spice give Tommy Summer 2021 something extra with that added bite; which differs some from other typical aromatic, fresh or aquatic summer scents in the same price range. With the original Tommy playing such an impactful part of my formative years, you could say I’m brand loyal. I didn’t hesitate to grab Tommy Summer 2021 when they started showing up for $20 at most discount stores. I’m glad I did, as it is a solid pick-up and Summer go-to. It’s easy to like and even easier to wear during the casual days of summer. Rating: 7/10

We are having an early summer, so why not some Tommy Summer? Ginger orange sweet cardamom open. The violet comes in late open but isn't screechy for me thankfully. Into the middle a pepper sage emerges, quickly transitioning into the vetiver base with a touch of patchouli. I think it's my favorite Tommy, fresh and energetic. I'd like to acquire several others because I really enjoy them as gym frags and since the main knock is longevity, it kind of makes them perfect for that.

Not a bad freshie for the price. Opening is nice with a little spice. On me as it dries down I also get sort of a tea smell, no bubble gum as some have noted. This is a decent scent, you could do a lot worst for $20. Would I recommend it, yes it’s a nice fresh scent, and for a freshie it has decent performance, average+ depending on the number of sprays, oh and it has a great atomizer better than most out there.

This is a wonderful fragrance with a lot of depth and staying power. The ginger, orange and cardamom are so silky smooth together. This is quite masculine but at the same time it has a nice smooth sweetness and freshness to it as well. Discontinued now.

This has the exact same notes as the 2019 Tommy Into The Surf! Tommy Hilfiger is advertising Tommy Summer 2021 as a Limited Edition. Seems that they are just recycling the old Tommy Surf, giving it a new name, and trying to make it sound more appealing in order to sell it.

This fragrance is much too strong for summer use, all I get in the opening is a brutally powerful violet flower note reminiscent of stetson black but with none of the balancing green notes. In the middle dry down it's still much too strong for summer use but it does eventually settle down to a modern degree deodorant scent in the far drydown, which is pleasant and safe. For 10 dollars at TJ maxx you could do worse, but this is probably becoming rare by now. Don't seek this out, let it find you. Perfect for a rainy, chilly, spring or fall daytime dumb reach. Inoffensive to most, but you can overwhelm yourself if you're not careful with the trigger. I'm not used to hilfiger scents, so perhaps I jumped in unprepared. This is easily a 7/10.

Such a great combo of spicy and woody notes. I would say the ginger and pepper stick around the most after the dry down hits but it's very subtle. Nice pickup for Spring and Summer but the lack in longevity will keep you blasting away every couple hrs. It's a pretty good EDT for the price but not great. Reminds me of all oldie that released around 2010 from C.O Bigelow Barber- Elixir Red in a lot of ways. Minus the Red Current, and Fig Leaf. Think of the original Spice Bomb watered down for summer wear with a hint of cinnamon (even though it's not listed in the notes) it's probably just the cardamom. At least that's what I'm picking up. Also some oriental tea notes that linger in the middle which is kinda nice. If this Fragrance had better longevity I could see it pulling some compliments but it doesn't stick around long enough for that to happen IMO.

To my nose, this smells green and herbal in the beginning. The three opening notes are definitely present, ginger, orange and cardamom. I get a tea like note from this as well, though its not listed. I definitely get some light violet notes but i'm not getting as much black pepper on my skin as others have stated. Also has a light aquatic feel as well. It smells nice enough, but wouldn't purchase again. I don't really get much vetiver but do get some woodiness. Patchouli is not very noticeable, but not getting that dirty patchouli at all. This would be good for warm weather, at the gym or maybe a nice beach/outdoor scent. Definitely not groundbreaking or unique in any way. Got it for $20 at Ross so definitely a cheapie. Longevity, sillage and projection are weak as in typical Tommy Hilfiger fashion, so don't expect much performance.

Just picked this up at Ross tonight for $19.99. It instantly reminds me of Usher He (black bottle) but less intense. I get a somewhat sweet melon note (not listed) off the top, a large bit of the white pepper (white pepper - think a less sharp, more rounded, warmer black pepper with the harshness removed and smoothed out) in the mid. The base is a bit dark for a summer fragrance in my opinion with the woody spice. The spice in this reminds me of the old Nautica bottles that looked like a shark fin, just called Nautica. I think they may have missed the mark on this for a summer fragrance. It doesn't remind me of summer in the least. With all that being said I don't hate this, it brings back memories from my youth, and if I was back in school I would have loved it.

How confusing. I picked up a bottle of this at a local TJ Maxx, box completely smashed to hell. I assumed it was an old release but apparently it isn’t. Strange to see it popping up at a rack store already. As for the scent itself, nothing new here. Tommy Hilfiger is going for the standard bubblegum aquatic vibe with this one. Very sweet at the top with a hint of warmth. It’s not as fresh as I was expecting, but it dries down to your average clean woods you would expect from a mall fragrance. Not bad, but nothing you need to be running out and grabbing either.

For some reason as soon as I smelled this, it reminded me of Jovan Ginseng NRG from like 25 yrs ago. I did not hate Ginseng. It just smelled like a car freshener cheapie. Not saying this smells exactly like Ginseng, but It has major undertones and is definately a bonified drugstore frag. It just reminds me of my buddies dying, red Pontiac Fiero. He bathed in Ginseng and there was always a fat, cheap bottle in the arm-rest. Wife said I smell like an old lady---oh well, another blind buy for the dusty bin--too cheap to waste time selling.

Light bubble gummy sweetness at the top, like watermelon / berry bubble gum. Equal mix of fruit, freshness, florals, and sweetness, like tonka or something without cloyness. The closest one i'd compare this to is Versace Blue jeans- same berry tonka like vibes just more fresher for summer. It's ok for 20 bucks for 100ml. I dunno, it's sort of like Britney Spears female flanker or something. I guess this is what girls want us to smell like... like little girls. (Irritating)... 6/10

I don’t know anything about Tommy Hilfiger “into the surf” so I can’t comment on that. To ma this smells like Millisime Imperial DNA with heavy sage. I don’t love this scent, but it’s decent if you get it from a rack store. I picked it up for $19. Id wear this around the house/running errands/etc. Def not something I’d want to wear to work or a night out

$20. Nothing new here, but if you need something cheap, powerful , and clean but synthetic to keep in the car this will do the trick. Beware, you can overspray this, it is strong
