Creamy Tide

Soft and powdery, Creamy Tide has the comforting quality that you find in some gourmand perfumes. It opens with lychee, but it’s a slightly muted lychee, made creamy rather than zingy thanks to the rice milk. I can detect some florals in the background, but rice dominates. The rice milk lingers through the drydown, balanced by vanilla that brings a touch of sweetness while never becoming cloying. It’s gourmand but definitely not sparkly marshmallow gourmand. This is the Toouch scent I was most excited by, but also kind of nervous. It contains two of my favourite notes ever – lychee and rice – and I was worried that it wouldn’t live up to my expectations. Well, it did. This is not a strong, sexy perfume like Deep Lullaby; it’s a hug in a bottle, a gently enveloping, soothing fragrance that tells you everything will be okay. It has become one of my go-to perfumes for bedtime, or for days when I’m feeling low and I need some comfort. Just wonderful.

creamy tide is suchhh a perfect name for this one. every sniff i take reminds me of the beach. childhood days spent living with my family in our house a little bit away from the shore. during the opening, it's lunchtime and my tia is steaming rice with the window open whilst the fresh ocean air circulates around the kitchen. after dry down, im outside with a bowl of vanilla ice cream and watching people wander along the boardwalk. i think the childhood part of it is in the peach and lychee, ever so slightly reminds me of drugstore 2-in-1 kids shampoo but not in a bad way. i would wear this all summer long if i lived near the ocean.

Lactonic aquatics are always a hit or miss, but Toouch did a pretty good job here. It smells like sea salt and warm coconut milk on sun-baked skin. Very reminiscent of a high-end beach resort. However, the first 5 minutes are a bit chaotic-there's a sour milk vibe that almost turned me off. Let it dry down! Once it settles, it’s a stunning summer scent. Longevity is average (4-5 hours)

Probably the most crowd-pleasing one. Rice milk, lychee, vanilla - smooth and cozy, smells like home desserts and clean skin. Sometimes it feels too sweet for me, a bit too creamy when it’s hot outside, but it’s comforting in a genuine way. Like wearing warmth on your wrist. It’s nostalgic, almost edible. There’s something tender about it that makes it hard not to love.

The scent of lychee and peach feels like a veil from start to finish, making the rice and milk notes fade into the background. My personal opinion is that I would prefer the rice and milk to be the dominant notes in this perfume.

Blindbuy here. It has a very fresh, fruity scent, so the milky note is very subtle and not cloying. It definitely has a clean, skin-like quality—almost soapy—without being cheap or unpleasant.

A lovely fragrance I got for free from a Luckyscent order. The lychee and peach opening is very distinct, smells like something from my childhood (I grew up in South East Asia). My only gripe is with this fragrance is how quickly it travels to its middle and base notes, which are also really nice btw, but perhaps the nostalgia induced by the top notes on my part influences that opinion. The dry down is soft and soapy to me, which prevents it from being overly gourmand to me. I find the full size a little expensive for the amount you get, particularly for a new brand I'm not too familiar with. But this little sample was enough to get me interested enough to buy a discovery set from the brand and see what other offerings they have.

I tried Creamy Tide first as bedtime perfume. I got a lot of the rice on the opening along with the fruit - sort of like how when you've got rice in the rice cooker it mingles with anything else you might be doing in the kitchen. It's very aptly named, with the fruit notes being light and creamy rather than bright. Instead of a gourmand vibe, Creamy Tide almost reminded me of rice and rice milk as part of beauty rituals. A great nighttime scent and a worthy addition for rice lovers.

I was so excited for this line and got the tester pack from Scent Split.... They all smell so low quality and fake - like drug store spray. I'm generally not picky at all with perfumes but I'm mega disappointed. I feel like I'm getting cancer by breathing this in and keeping it on my skin. Scrubbing for the first time

I am glad I tested this more than once. The first time I sprayed it, I definitely had that “hug in a bottle” feeling. Clean, milky, not synthetic. But now that I’ve tested two more times, all I get are the musk and the iris, making it way too powdery for me.

A part of me likes it and a part of me doesn’t. This really feels like a novelty scent. I have no idea what to make of it and I can’t take it seriously enough to be worn conventionally. It is difficult to decipher anything except the heavy rice note.

Think clean skin + warm blanket energy. Projection is soft, and longevity is average, so it stays close to you more than filling the room.
