Dreamy Nautica

It’s a realistic take on a coastal scent, not the “blue ocean” cliché, but something more human, like the scent of sea salt on a linen shirt. Very wearable, modern, genderless. The only downside is longevity; it fades faster than I wish, like the sea itself pulling back.

An aquatic grapefruit with green apple. A little watery and fleeting but it makes for an enjoyable, albeit brief, ride. I’m wearing it in the dead of winter but it would probably be incredibly fresh and refreshing in warm weather.

I really like this. It’s fresh, but truly aquatic. I get a little citrus in the opening, but it fades to a true aquatic. Very watery a little Dewey. Super fresh. Does not last. Very safe but does not last.

From the first moments, Dreamy Nautica is indeed very salty. I get the apple juice, but don’t expect sweetness – it’s a dry apple without any sugar thrown in. After that, the sea notes take over. It’s a soft aquatic that definitely smells of the ocean, suitable for the hottest days here in Vietnam. It leans masculine, but not overwhelmingly so. I can wear it without giving the impression that I’ve just raided my boyfriend’s aftershave shelf. Dreamy Nautica is pleasant, and I enjoy it, but there’s not a whole lot to it. It’s the slightest of all these fragrances; every other Toouch scent – and indeed, every other Sy Truong scent – feels original in some way. Dreamy Nautica doesn’t. For me, it’s the least exciting of the first Toouch collection. If you want an affordable but good quality aquatic, this would be a great choice, but don’t expect anything groundbreaking.

Initially smells like men's cologne, dries down to resemble the inside of a fruit (like the fleshy part). Seeing the grapefruit and apple top notes, this makes sense. But this to me is not a citrusy or fruit scent. Nor is it a beachy or salty scent. It's a little too balanced for that which is nice, probably due to the musk in the base notes. It's nice, but doesn't leave a lasting impression to me. Longevity could be better and definitely more of a skin scent, even affer spraying a lot on my clothes. Solid 3/5 for me.

A very ethereal, airy take on the marine DNA. I love that it doesn't have that harsh 'blue shower gel' vibe that a lot of men's aquatics have. It's more like a cool, salty breeze over a quiet lake. That being said, it's quite linear and a bit 'safe'. What you smell in the opening is exactly what you get 4 hours later. A great dumb-reach for the gym or casual days, but not groundbreaking
