Bel Azur

CITRUS WATERS. Opens with a burst of multi-faceted bergamot with fresh, aquatic & fruity-sweet touches that transitions into peony-neroli floral heart with sweet, clean, powdery and peachy touches all resting on a cedar-vetiver base. The vetiver here is the multi-faceted kind, and as it dries down, I get a sweet-tea note coming out on the skin, with woody & fruity nuances. Has a lush, fresh & watery-citrus vibe that's more sweet-citrus than cold-citrus. On my skin, performance is average or slightly above average for a fresh citrus scent, with a small scent bubble, although some reviewers have reported poor performance. Contrast to Light Blue Eau Intense Dolce&Gabbana: These are different, although they have been compared, and there may be similarities. LBEI is more cold citrus & musk and maintains the sparkling misty citrus nearly throughout the musky drydown. While Bel Azur has a citrus that is warmer and fruitier and dries down sweeter & woodier. LBEI has superior performance. Contrast to Light Blue Dolce&Gabbana: Similarities in the openings, but LB dries down more fluffy, floaty & cold, while BA dries down more vetiver, sweet & woody without the coldness. BA has superior performance. Contrast to Versace Eros Pour Femme EDP: These have been compared, and there are some similarities in the openings, however the sandalwood is touchier in Eros Pour Femme, and skews dill on my skin. Overall: Beautiful and well blended scent, with average or slightly above average performance, this is the perfect scent to wear for revival. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

I am totally enjoying the Bergamot opening of this enticing perfume. It is one of my fav notes for it makes this perfume smell refreshing, alluring and enticing. it has a very good sillage on my skin which I love. I enjoy being able to smell my perfume plus I can see how a man would enjoy wearing this also. It works into a a lovely peony floral scent that takes over and sticks arounds for a while finally going into a woody/ mossy dry down. The dry down is similar to Chole's Nomad mossy dry down, just not as strong . It lasted for a good 6 to 8 hours on my skin before it turn into a skin scent. All the notes smell so good and work well together. It's a perfume my husband and I can share, pretty cool right! I love it, it just smells so darn good on me. I can't stop smelling myself LOL Its smells so good :)

I randomly tried this on in the store, as I was so attracted to the beautiful bottle and found that I REALLY enjoyed the scent. I ended up purchasing a full bottle, hoping it would be my new Summer scent. This scent has a very citrus, Mediterranean feel, and reminds me of Summer holidays. Sadly, this performs more like a body spray than a parfum, so I'm sure I will go through the bottle very quickly. The longevity is moderate, and projection is VERY poor. Too bad, as it is a lovely fragrance. I don't feel that the performance justifies the price. Perhaps layering this with the lotion would produce better results. Love the fragrance but disappointed with the performance...I see I'm not the only one. I would also agree that there is a masculine component to this, which I really like...maybe the bergamot.

Hi everyone. This review is based on my recent visit to Sephora, where i did 4 squirts to the inside of chest. My t-shirt absorbed some of the juice. 8 hours later I am still getting lovely wafts of the scent, so, i lift my shirt and sniff and yes the scent is still there! This is a lovely unisex juice ! I knew there was some woods in the mix somewhere, and sure enough the note breakdown lists vetiver and cedar in the base. In the start, the peony gives it a bit of a feminine side, but quickly this turns into a unisex/ maybe even dare i say, masculine scent,...thanks to the fresh bergamot, and the vetiver/cedar. I totally see myself wearing this, and possibly playing around with layering say, layering with molecule 01 perhaps.

I'm a lover of Tory Burch fragrances and this did not disappoint this is a beautiful fragrance! Citrusy, fresh, and aquatic, with a soft woody, dry down. For me, it lasted long and had a moderate projection. I would say this is perfect for hot summer days and spring as well. Definitely a unisex fragrance. This is very very similar to D&G light blue but better composed, smoother, and a little less sharp and slightly more soft in my opinion. I think I will purchase this over light blue as long as I'm able. I like to layer this with a light coconut fragranced lotion and it's perfect for summer!

I got this in a swap and it arrived today and I had always been looking forward to smelling this but it blew me away, it’s better than I was expecting! It’s certainly an aquatic citrus smell and that’s right up my alley. It does kind of remind me of Eternity Aqua/under the lemon tree/leau dissey lotus type scents and if you love those you will love this. It’s beautiful. Much like Light Blue as well. So pretty

This smells fresh, slightly floral, and very feminine to my nose. It isn't aquatic, but it does feel wet somehow, like dewy peonies in a mossy garden with trees growing juicy fruits nearby. The bottle is gorgeous as well. Like others, I wish that this was more affordable, since it doesn't last for super long on my skin, but it smells pleasant and I will snatch it up if I find a good deal.

Citrus and sweet opening that I love the dry down is peony then vetiver it's not a bad scent at all I want another bottle but that price tag is not in my range so I'll stick to the mini bottle hopefully I can find a bottle for cheap on Mercari

I love this fragrance. It was my go to in the summer of 2019. I used to pair it with the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and they surprisingly complimented each other quite well on me

This perfume is absolutely wonderful. It's a touch feminine but safe enough for a guy to wear; I wear it. It's a crying shame that the longevity is utterly weak.

This is a gorgeous fragrance! It's more floral than citrus on my skin, but very very nice!!!

Yup. A clean citrus perfume with a slight woody base. It's pretty. It's clean. It's uninteresting. But it's a safe bet fragrance, especially for hot days. In my opinion...most definitely not worth the price tag. I would probably spend $18-$22 on a bottle but no more. It smells nice and safe, but not luxurious or expensive. Not NEARLY as expensive as it is anyway. Nevertheless, if you're going to an island vacation or something like that...this would be the perfect matching scent for that. Longevity - 4-5 hours. Projection - Soft but in a good way. Radiates gently. Overall Score - A solid 7 or 7.5 out of 10. Definitely won't offend anyone's senses.

For me, this is a clean scent but more gritty if you will. It is not oceanic and clean like my original beloved Escape (don't get me started on the poor reformulation of that!). This can pull a bit unisex but the more I use it the more I like it. It is more citrusy then anything. I was able to get the gift set of the large bottle, rollerball & lotion for half off which I am happy for because it is not long lasting or much of a sillage. Maybe as the weather gets warmer but as of now only, I get to enjoy this. Won't be repurchasing because of the poor staying power & sillage.

The opening is a sharp citrus smell with a bit of alcohol, then morphs into a soft fresh woody floral. It's not disagreeable to wear and in the dry down it gets cozier. It's not unique, but I love the perfume, it's just that the longevity and projection are poor. I have a mini and a sample and I'm gonna finishing them easily, but I don't see myself buying a full bottle. I recommend for those who want a clean earthy smell for yourself, because after 2-3 hours it gets close to skin.

Not really neroli at all - just a nice, fresh, vaguely citric splash which dries off within an hour or so to generic white flowers (I thought jasmine, smelling blind.) A little generic, a little bit soapy, nothing out of the ordinary, but pleasant. No great staying power, and certainly one for warmer days when you need something clean and mild. A brief dip in the pool rather than a wild swim in the sea. Dip in, towel off, it's gone ... but you had a good refreshing interlude.

I love the coloring of the bottle so much I want to love the scent, but I can't say I do. It's not horrific or anything, it's nice, I like it, I like the notes. It's just that I've smelled it before. On many a twenty-something man. It eventually mellows into a softer bergamot with something slightly floral in the backgroud, but if you blindly sprayed it and told me it's Tommy Hilfiger's new summer cologne, I would believe you.

I like Bel Azur, but I don’t love it. Like many other citrus scents, it burns out quickly. After the promising opening it turns generic. But for about an hour it’s got that clean, laundered towels fresh out of the dryer feel. Bel Azur goes well with tropical locations, a good vacation scent: I will enjoy my sample today, while sitting on a Pacific Ocean beach. But it’s a pass on purchasing a full bottle.

I found the roller ball version of this perfume for $10 at TJMaxx. This scent is so lovely. It's fresh, citrusy, aquatic and reminds of a beach destination. I wore it on my trip to Tulum this summer, it was perfect for the occasion as the weather was hot and humid. Sadly it has no staying power, definitely a skin scent but who cares it’s too good.

Bel Azur by Tory Burch is fresh neroli, crisp peony blooms, and a sparkling pop of bergamot on a pleasant base of vetiver and cedar wood. I am a huge fan of her signature scent and Bel Azur is very similar in the sense that it is easy to wear for any occasion, you always smell fresh and classy and people will compliment you on your scent for sure!

I received a sample of this today and like it a lot. It's very citrusy and woodsy with a nice breezy, seaside vibe to it. I agree with others that this is slightly masculine and could really be a unisex fragrance. I will save this for spring and summer. It definitely seems to be a fragrance for warmer weather.

I can find bergamot a little overwhelming, but this is wearable and works well with the neroli. The base notes aren't intrusive, but they also aren't present enough to give this much staying power. This is a nice, bright, approachable fragrance. Not sweet. About an hour's lifespan. Limited radiation.

I have a mini of this one. It's a very pleasant light citrus fragrance with a touch of florals and wood. I absolutely love it. It has a classic "eau de cologne" vibe to it. Suitable for the warmest and sunniest days. But little staying power, and not worth the full retail price, IMO.

Reminds me of an Hermes fragrance, has that groovy sunny 70s vibe, but a little fresher, cleaner. I had this for test just once but would love a larger sample - most people are saying summer but I could see myself really getting into this for fall and winter

I have a sample of it. I wanted to put on a little Spring/Summer fragrance. Fun beach citrus type of fragrance. Sort of reminds me of pencil shavenings, too, that would be the cedar.

First blast of sweet clean bergamot. The opening is very one note; I thought I had detected a faint hint of pink pepper but I guess I was mistaken. Fades super fast and i didnt get a chance to get any of the woods or vetiver before it left. It hasn't even been 5 minutes and it's at 10% of what it was in the first spray. For that price you might as well get a Jo Malone...at least they're an established fragrance brand. At the bare minimum, the packaging is nice for this one. Unisex and best for hot weather, if the scent can last until you get outside. 6+ hours later: So gone.

I got a mini bottle with another purchase, and honestly, all I can smell is citrus. It's not a bad scent, I'm just not into citrus-centred scents; I prefer them as an accent to a more gourmand or floral scent. If you are into citrus, fresh, and even aquatic scents, you'll like this. I do disagree that it is reminiscent of Tom Ford Eau de Soleil Blanc though. TF is much more tropical, coconut-y sea salt vibes, whereas the citrus in this one makes it an outdoor summer with sports or games in a park. Not distinctly beachy or tropical, as TF is.

Sharp bergamot at first sniff then turned into intense vetiver and cedar at the drydown. I'd say this is a unisex scent, lean more towards men/masculine side than feminine.

Prominent white florals—leans a bit old-school. It doesn’t feel particularly fresh, more purely floral and classic.

Just bought this and already thinking of selling it. Should’ve listened to the previous review and not blind bought it. When I first sprayed it in the air it was pleasant overall and did BARELY remind me of Light Blue. But once it dried down on my skin as well on my clothes I absolutely hated it. This may sound weird but it smells like Bed Bath and Beyond. When you first walk in and smell those bags of room fresheners. Can’t get over that. So at the end I don’t think it smells like Light Blue AT ALL.

This is not for me but I cannot complain about the performance. 4 sprays from a manufacturer's sample vial on my forearms lasted 11 hours with moderate sillage (constants wafts from an arms length throughout the day until I washed it off). This was unfortunate for me since I disliked it but might be helpful to anyone who has seen mostly poor reviews about performance. I suppose we are hyper-aware of the scents we have a strong aversion to. I'm definitely getting more than others are reporting.

Very Imbalanced. If you’re thinking about blind buying this from a discount store like TJ Maxx or Ross- don’t. It’s fine, but it smells rather harsh throughout its entire wear. This would have been pleasant without the overload of bergamot. Bergamot is found in some of the best perfumes, but it completely overpowers the lovely neroli and woody notes here. No one’s going to be mad at you for smelling tart, but you’re better off buying D&G Light Blue for less.

It's breezy, refreshing and light - all the things you want in a summer perfume. But it does not last more than half an hour on my skin. Not willing to pay this much for an average smelling scent with zero lasting power.

Definitely unisex aroma. Not bad, but Im not impressed. I agree with the comment below that it smells somewhat generic and doesnt feel like it comes from a $100 perfume bottle.

Initial Impression: A glass of water with a slice of citrus in it. The Dry Down: A glass of water that's been sitting on your nightstand since yesterday.

bergamots drowning in a swimming pool! and then later laid out to dry on some bland earth! sharp citrus, generic scent that doesn't last at all.

There was a sale at the department store so I got this at half-price along with another Tory Burch scent. At the time I was like oh hey, I found another great scent that would be perfect for spring and summer! I remembered that day I got home, sprayed it, liked it. Somehow I do not find myself liking it anymore. I gave it a few more some attempts, wanting to force myself into liking it. But this just does not work. Now it is feeling hot again I am thinking it's summer time then maybe I will like it? But the answer is still no :( Not sure what went wrong, I do get a hint of the summer ocean vibes in it but boy what is that in the perfume that I dislike? I usually like bergamot. Would it be the peony that makes me off? I read in the Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede reviews where a lot of people saying the peony giving them headaches. This perfume is just not for me. I don't want to say I dislike it but I don't fall in love with it either

This is a lot more feminine than I expected. It's a citrus scent, but a sweet citrus scent with peachy facets. In the opening you do smell some alcohol, which I don't really expect from higher end scents, but it's bearable. The drydown is very woody, but the wood does not smell as synthetic as the wood in other popular scents right now. The wood is dry and dusty, but not sharp. Nice cedar. I like it even though I usually can't wear woody citrus scents. It does have a slight salty chlorine pool vibe at times, but that just makes it interesting. It also sort of smells like pine, my boyfriend says "it smells like a christmas tree", but he loves it. It's sort of like a mixture of Versace Eros por Femme and Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt. I would buy this for summer. It's fresh, and chic, and pretty.

Ok Tory Burch is imitating Marc Jacobs , one flanker after the other...This one is nice, it has a green/ citrusy vibe, very fresh...but I couldnt remember what it smells like at the end of the day...it smells also vaguely masculine.It has very little character, smells vaguely floral, with a hint of vétiver throughout..giving it kind of a unisex undertone...I don't know, it is a non descriptive scent, expensive, nice bottle, but not sure what it is about !? The name implies summer, the beach, the sea !? I remember thinking very little when I tried it ...only if you are looking for a fresh citrus scent with a unisex vibe..

I've tried this in sample size last summer. I'm not into citrusy scents as much but decided to give this a go. My husband loved it but it gave me a headache. I got that initial zing from the citrus for about an hour (which I actually liked) and then it mellowed out into a tree flavored car freshener with random hits of florals. It ended up smelling too masculine and strong on my skin that I could hardly smell anything else. The longevity was poor (in my case a blessing) as I only got around 4 hours of wear out of it. Definitely not worth it IMO.

Admittedly this has that generic cologne vibe veering on air freshener but in a nice way. I like it. It sort of smells like the above generic-ish fresh scent but with some Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt and Acqua di parma Blue Mediterraneo Mirto di Panarea mixed in. It has a seaside freshness with some green herbal freshness. I like fresh scents a lot, so I'd buy this if it was $15. Because it honestly smells like a $10-$15 body spray, not something that is almost $100.

I tried this in Sephora and went back to buy a roll-on within a week because I like it so much. On me it is not even remotely unisex, let alone masculine, but more like a floral (clearly peony) version of Light Blue or Bergamotto di Calabria - at least, it is in that camp of scent types. Perhaps not as well put together or as long-lasting, but well worth a try or just taking a chance on a small bottle / roll-on if you like other perfumes that feature bergamot and cedar.

This is overall a somewhat masculine fragrance but surprisingly not as masculine as you'd expect from the notes. The scent fits the name/aesthetic perfectly. Very watery, aquatic, clean, crisp and borderline soapy. The bergamot is not harsh, sharp or too masculine, but it is a little bitter smelling... It's a cool, fresh and citrusy bitter lemony note with woodsy rugged notes. It smells different than Light Blue but it's in the same vein - a cool crisp citrus perfume.

I got a sample of this at Sephora. Initially, I was really smitten: It’s fresh and zingy, perfect for hot summer days. I thought for sure I’d want a full bottle. Less than an hour later, I’d changed my mind as it was nearly gone. Many citrus based perfumes have poor longevity and I’ve come to expect that. Even by that standard, however, this does not perform well. At this price point (or less) there are many other, similar citrus perfumes that last longer.

First I smell bergamot and cedar, then vetiver, then a clean, fresh floral, and maybe some aquatic notes. Bel Azur is a really lovely scent, very summery and light, and it lasts all of 15 minutes on my skin. I can get a couple of hours if I apply it directly to clothes. I picked up a roller ball of this scent for $10 at Marshalls, and although I like it, I am glad I didn't pay any more for it. It's too ephemeral.

I agree with the reviewer who stated that this is a really nice fresh, semi-tropical summer scent....that disappears after maybe 20-30 minutes on my skin. It doesn't smell the same, but has the same kind of expensive tropical resort "vibe" as Tom Ford Eau de Soliel Blanc and Aerin Hibiscus Palm. I think this scent would actually be really popular if the performance weren't so horrendous.

All the notes listed are notes that I usually like. Not sure how they can mess that up. I think it's the neroli vetiver combo that is too clean for me. On me it is harsh, screechy, and forgetable. Hard pass. Fortunately it's not too complex, so I can layer it with something else to use up this sample spray.

I loved the opening--fresh, breezy, citrusy. Within a minute or two, the peony kicked in and dialed back the opening citrus note, turning it sour. The scent did have an L.A.-in-the-summer vibe that I liked, but I'm not a fan of peony-heavy scents so I decided to pass. It lasted about 4 hours on my skin.

A mild, citrus floral. I mistook the scent for one of my (hair) styling products soon after spraying Bel Azure, and getting ready for the day. In the same family as Light Blue, but not as sweet. There is some slight bitterness in the drydown.

On me, it's very masculine. I would call this unisex. Reminds me of something but I can't place it, Maybe Light Blue? Have a mini won't purchase a full sized bottle. It's not for me.
