Love Relentlessly

I knew it.... I just tried Tory Burch Love Relentlessly at Ulta. I live 100 plus miles from the closest Ulta and the entire drive home, I kept thinking, I have had this... I have this? Then it hit me, LR in several ways truly resembles Yves Saint Laurent- Champagne or Yvresse. I now have Love Relentlessly on one wrist and MY beloved vintage Champagne on the other, and on my skin they are sooo similar it is uncanny. Both are described as Woody, Powdery, Fruity and Sweet. Both have notes of Iris, Rose, Patch Amber and Vetiver. When I first sprayed LR,I got Peach and more Peach, yet it is not listed? YSL Champagne-Yvresse is heavy on Peach which is why I love it so. I know the reviews are not stellar for LR, BUT it just worked for me. While checking out at Ulta the ladies in line behind me commented they smelled peach, something yummy. They asked me what perfume I was wearing and of course I had just sprayed LR generously on myself 10 minutes prior. While buying shoes a bit later the sales associate asked if I was wearing peach perfume and inquired about the name of my fragrance. It is now 8 hours later and this fragrance is still with me. It may be generic, done before, even safe as the prior comments have stated... but on me, Love Relentlessly performs and works beautifully. The very first time testing LR, it has already garnered several compliments. It has lasted much longer than many of my other new frags. And I have caught DELICIOUS wafts of it while shopping all day long. On my skin it smells much like my precious discontinued,YSL vintage Champagne-Yvresse which is now so expensive when you can find a bottle, you need a loan to pay for it. So Tory Burch, Love Relentlessly, with its much more affordable price point, is a Love for me. I see a big bottle of this in my very near future. Ohhhh LOL, did mention how pretty the bottle is?

The opening punches you in the face with a blast of spiced fruit and citrus - the fruity sweetness fades away but the spiciness of the pink pepper lingers throughout the fragrance. Then those powdery florals begin to surface! I smell primarily iris and rose, but here and there the litchi will add a little extra sweet freshness. After a while, the powderiness will fade and the base notes come through, starting with a warm creaminess provided by the amber and the leftover floral scent. In the final stages of the perfume, the earthy woody elements really shine! Of course, the patchouli is the most prominent and gives the whole scent that luscious dark "forest floor" smell - it really rounds out the fragrance and adds a level of maturity to all the sweetness at the top. This is my signature fragrance - I love how it starts really girly and playful but rounds out and gains maturity as it evolves. The dry down is worth waiting for! It reminds me of a clearing in the woods during golden hours. The longevity is really good on my skin - I just need one spray in the morning and it will last all day. Like others have said, this perfume is quite soft-spoken; it is noticeable, but the scent goes gentle on sensitive noses and won't give people headaches. I don't think you need to wear this at a certain time of the year, this is one of those fragrances that is good for any occasion.

This one is difficult to describe but it smells like money. I think it’s the iris and Jasmine because it is similar to Chance EDP by Chanel. I received compliments on this at work from older men mostly. Formal, elegant, classy. I think this could be worn throughout all occasions and seasons of the year but I personally love it for a fancy event or a breezy day. This really shines when you’re dolled up and the wind is blowing through your hair. A strong sour fruity opening that is calmed down by earthy florals & an ambery patchouli drydown. I love the litchi in this; it’s so addicting to smell lol. Despite its strong nature, it doesn’t really last long so I spray quite a bit so I can smell it after 5 hours. edit: I’m never questioning how powerful its sillage is again. I must be nose blind to this! How embarrassing that I was over spraying and I came home after a long day from campus to have my grandmother ask me what perfume I was wearing as she commented how it left a trail. Maybe a light hand is better with this one. Lately this has been smelling a bit masculine to my nose. Is it the Vetiver?

I don't understand all of the bad reviews on this scent. I think it's absolutely lovely. On me, it works wonders. Such a complex fragrance that most definitely goes through many phases, before it melds into my skin. I love the patchouli in it. I am not one who likes patchouli alone. But in almost all of my perfumes there are notes of patchouli in them. It's dirty. Dirty in a sexy and "rip my clothes" off type of way. When it is combined with other notes, I feel it really sends the perfumes over the top. I feel this is a perfume for a woman who knows what she wants and isnt afraid to admit it one bit. It's sensual and oh so sexy. Perfect for a night out or even everyday. Im not one to limit my scents. If I am in the mood to wear one a certain day, I wear it. I am smelling my wrist as we speak and it makes me smile.

I have an untrained nose, but I was pleased to see others commenting on the Chanel DNA and its similarity to Chanel Chance. I was gifted this years ago before I found Chance and started learning about fragrance notes. When I first tried Chance, it gave me similar vibes. So, at least even being untrained, I could detect it. I love the pink pepper and patchouli combo. The only issue with this one is that I tend to get a headache if I wear it on my neck or chest. I have to spray it on my wrists lightly to be able to wear it. I don't usually get headaches from fragrance, but I think it might be the ambertonic. It's the only note unique compared to the other fragrances I have tried that do not give me a headache. I prefer Chance, but this is still a lovely, simple fragrance.

This is Idole Armani EDP’s younger sister who is more of a crowd-pleaser, a pretty face, sometimes witty and times sharp, but mostly a slightly improved run of the mill diva. While Idole does have a niche vibe to it, this is more of a department store scent. It does smell slightly artificial and a tad acidic, but it never leaves the somewhat safe pretty boundaries it is in. The patchouli and pink pepper are the most dominant which suits a wintery/autumn day out. It can be considered office friendly and I picture women under 30 enjoying this more than ladies in their beautiful 30s and beyond (I do not believe in age stereotypes, but this is just who I imagine would enjoy wearing this). It may also remind you of fruity car fresheners used in the late 90s and early 2000s.

This isn't the most exciting fragrance in my collection but it's still very pretty. Upon first spray I immediately thought of Jimmy Choo Blossom. Very fruity and bright. But then it starts to warm a bit and turns into a mild woody floral whereas Blossom turns more fruity sour. LR continues to have a fruity undertone but seems a little bit more elegant with the woods and florals. I really think this one is easy to wear for just about any occasion and year round. It isn't offensive so it could be worn in an office/work environment without a problem. The sillage is moderate and the longevity is about 6 hours on me. The bottle is very pretty and has a really good sprayer (fine mist but a good amount of perfume).

Love relentlessly is a fun daytime fragrance. I love the Patchouli mixed with what I smell of Lychee, Citrus and Pear. It also has some Floral and Woody notes but mainly it is a Tropichouli. I know it has been done before but I find it pretty and playful. It is safe and unoffensive. I have worn it to the beach and out on the boat. I also wear it shopping and to dinner. They can't keep it on the shelves at most department stores near me. So it has some popularity too. It sort of reminds me of a more tropical Coco Mademoiselle. Longevity is over five hours. It is strong at first than it is moderate. Very well done. My favorite of the Tory Burch line thus far. 9/10

More people have voted this as a spring/summer scent but I disagree. I tested this in the summer and it was way too cloying, syrupy, and strong. The patchouli was so permeating it made me nauseous. I hated it! About half a year later and I received a free sample (in winter) so I gave it another shot. Suddenly the fruits weren't over-ripe, the patchouli was fresh and earthy, the powdery iris was snuggle-y and cozy, and there was enough wood to be cold-weather appropriate. It was wonderful and I fell in love! Now it's on my 'want' list. I'll use it strictly in the fall/winter though!

My untrained, amateur nose & I will defend this perfume with our lives. It has an almost-sour smell in the bottle and on the first spray; an ex-boyfriend tested it once, gagged, and told me it smelled like a church basement. Give it some time and it becomes sooooo lovely. Feels old-fashioned to me somehow, but very elegant & chic. Like, a successful 29-year-old in 1987 would wear it to her department's Christmas party, which is being held in a luxe hotel. She's wearing a black velvet cocktail dress and gets ready in a Hollywood vanity mirror. Or something like that, anyway.

I use the roller ball on my pulse points, and then just one Spritz of the perfume on my chest, and it starts out really strong! This is some powerful stuff. But when it settles down, it is stunning! I smell a lot of the grapefruit and fruity notes, and gentle Florals. I suppose that's Patchouli I smell. I'm a patchouli lover so I'm used to it. I love this fragrance!!! It's very long lasting to boot!

This scent is so pretty I think any one can wear this. At first it might smell strong but it settles into a soft scent. This perfume reminds me of different perfumes for example the discontinued scent Love by Coach, Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel and a bit of Jimmy Choo EDP. Definitely a special occasion perfume or for colder weather but could be worn in spring as well.

Just received Sephora summer catalog 2017 and in it was a paper scent strip sample of TBLR. I rubbed it all over my pulse points and instantly fell "relentlessly in love" with it. Lol!!! Surprised a paper strip sample can be so potent. My husband commented he could smell it and told me he likes it. Will be purchasing full bottle.

Peppery, sour fruits give way to rose, enveloped in powdery iris, sweet resins and creamy, woodsy patchouli. Love the heart and drydown. Longevity 12h+. A sweet, sensual, comforting fragrance. SweetTarts and patch perhaps. If you can tolerate the sour fruits in the opening, you might find love. (Reviewing the LR rollerball.)

My best friend wears this and I just can't stop smelling her. This is addictive, I have never smelled such an amazing fragrance. It smells like mango, with a strong pepper note in the background while still being light and fresh. It's like having a fruity cocktail next to the ocean. Dreamy !

I am surprised how much I like this one. It has a difference to it. Very fruity. Juicy. Peach maybe? I don't really smell any floral. Doesnt change much on me from the initial spray and that's great because i like that first spray a lot. Lasts a long time. Bottle is beautiful.

What a pretty feminine floral perfume. It reminds me a tiny bit of coco Chanel mademoiselle. Very inoffensive, perfect for everyday or office use. It is very strong if suggest only one or two sprays, this will stay on all day and radiates beautifully.

What is the story with this fragrance’s sister, Love Relentlessly TOI ET MOI? I can find absolutely nothing about it online — even on the Tory Burch website. If anyone knows, please share.

I am on my 3rd bottle. This is the scent I wore on my wedding day, so it will always have a special place in my heart. Perfectly balanced and feminine to me.

This is a masterpiece! This will always be in my collection. Smells so elegant, classy, and lady-like...

It's a pleasant fruity sweet scent with a nice pepper touch. I love it!

Favorite perfume of all time, so underrated

It smells like something a nice girl would wear. Fresh and light, an inoffensive fruity floral, sometimes a hint sophisticated. The projection is moderate strong for the first hour, softer after 4-6 hours and around 6-8 hours it's closer to skin. I'm not a patchouli centered girl, but it doesn't disturb me here, it's just that the perfume didn't found a sweet spot yet. I can see myself wearing it for an occasion, but for me it's too spicy and classy for a no-brainer everyday perfume, not sweet and round enough to be sexy, too fresh to be cozy comforting like I love. It smells fine, but it lacks an addicting factor, a little umph that would make me want to buy it. My mom likes it on me and says it's PERFECTION, tendre, girl next door, calm, she can't understand why I'm not sold to it. I will finishing my sample and see, but I feel it's just not my style. Edit: I'm still testing this perfume with two samples, I like it better, my favorite part is the opening, a burst of fruits and sweet iris with rose in the background, but then it goes quickly sweetened patchouli rose with a lot of pink pepper. It's fine, but I don't think I would buy it. It's a delicate and fun scent overall.

this was a blind buy at Marshalls. I saw gift set on clearance with small bottle of edp and rollerball. I never owned a Tory Birch scent but I tried several and it seemed like most of those were florals that were quite pleasant. I was in the mood for floral scent for a change and home with me it went. I can definately smell fruit notes like raspberry and litchi, those give it that slightly fruitier feel, and rose here is not straight up and medicinal and potent. Its softer rose and patchouli gives slightly spicier feel. It dries down to fruity sort of rose floral with some warmth. I say lasting power was not that great-maybe two hours before it turned into skin scent but some of it maybe my chemistry as my skin tens to eat up perfume. I like it for fall because its not that light and fresh and it has more depth. I can even see wearing it in the winter. I live in tropics so sadly there is no winter here, but I think it would bloom more in cooler weather.

It's growing on me. I don't hate it. Anymore... I have an authentic mini bottle of this and even after dousing both arms in the stuff, I could barely smell it past the 1 hour mark. I'm probably just nose blind now. Granted, my bottle is EDT strength but still. ❤️👍 From what I first thought, it was a woody/floral scent, not too sweet, nicely balanced for what it is, tiny bit on the jammy side of floral but otherwise a pleasant mix. Now though... 🥰🤗😎 Daaaaamm this is nice. No need to layer it unless you're going for distance instead of delicacy. Oh damm, I can't stop sniffing my arms. Feminine, conservative without losing impact, mature scent, formula is very well balanced and thought out, a true joy to keep huffing and be reminded that I guess I have good taste! 😘 Bought a full size bottle because I love it. 7.5/10 I had to buy a full size bottle of this because in a heavy application this is phenomenally good. 👍👍👍

Upon first spray, I immediately notice pink pepper, patchouli, and vetiver. The vetiver adds a slight masculine quality, which I don’t mind. After about an hour, the pink pepper gives way to powdery florals, and then it’s mainly patchouli with a warm sandalwood base. I’d say patchouli is the strongest note overall. Some reviewers have compared the dry down to Chanel No 5, Coco Mademoiselle, and even Chance. I agree that there’s something about the dry down that reminds me of the Chanel line, like a less complex Coco Noir (I think from the patchouli and sandalwood). It has noticeable sillage and impressive longevity. One spray on the wrist and I can still smell it lingering 10 hours later! It’s too heavy for me in the hotter months, so I tend to break it out during the winter. Overall, it’s not one I grab often, but it’s a nice scent.

I got this for my momma for mother's day.. I gave it to her early I was afraid she wouldn't like it.. I got her so many samples of scents.. but didn't of this one.. I went on a whim when I smelled it I was like this smells like a 'her' scent..so I went for it & alas she loved it, she said it was a divine scent.. it's not groundbreaking but this scent is a crowd pleaser & has enough to stand out; its a perfect balance of sweet/ fresh spicy, it's sophisticated yet still playful & feel it's perfect for any age. & (I did a spritz on my skin, things usually smell the same on both my mom & I) it lasts! also I find this nice given the notes listed I don't find this to be super heavy this scent is perfectly suited for the cool days of spring/fall to the cooler nights of summer.. prob my favorite from her line so far..

I tried this at Sephora, and was so surprised at liking it that I asked for a sample to take home. It's the combination of lightly sweet/fresh, lightly fruity, and lightly floral that I enjoy. I didn't smell patchouli in this at all - maybe it only comes out well after drydown? It's a nice, youthful (20-something) scent. Editing to add: I gave my sample spritz another go-round tonight. The light floral accent (which reminds me vaguely of the pear note in DKNY Be Delicious) only lasts for the first 10 minutes. Then Love Relentlessly becomes a sophisticated fragrance. It is a mix of powdery and floral, dry yet with a hint of sweetness. This is a mademoiselle who knows what kind of love she is after and will pursue it...relentlessly.

I had a mini of this for 3 years and wore it occasionally/rarely and liked it well enough. But the other day, I walked the dogs very early, then went back to bed and right before getting between the sheets, I sprayed my arm with an official sample of this. That was the most delicious hour, the fragrance was chocolaty and soothing and kept me awake in a happy peaceful contentment. So now I love this, have bought a bottle and have been wearing my samples non stop til the big bottle arrives. Not at all patchouli hippy but patchouli smooth chocolate with raspberries and a grind of pink peppercorns, which quickly fade.

Sampling May 2018. Not impressed. It is nothing special. It is OK as a bedscent (One I wear to bed.) It's not strong or intrusive. There is a slight comforting quality about it, maybe the powder, the pepper or that combo of wood and vanilla. I will not make a purchase. It is not distinct enough for my taste. However, with that said, if it were gifted to me, I would use it and not get rid of it. I'd also use it to scent my drawers and linens. Wear it to sit by the pool and look cute and smell good. For a more sophisticated fragrance in this vein, I'd wear Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc. Ooooooo.

First sniff was "man that's fruity". I chuckled when I saw "fruity notes" on the top of the pyramid. It really is a fruit bomb to me. It is hard to pick out any specific fruit note. I am almost positive there is no grape but I get a grape soda vibe. I can smell a bit of the patchouli, but it doesn't bother me. Usually I'm not big on patchouli but it melds in here pretty well. It's about at the same level as the rose note, which is to say you can notice it but it's not the main focus. Overall it's cute and very fruity, but a little goes a long way.

The best of the Tory Burch line that I've smelled, hands down. The powdery-iris/fruity combination smells A LOT like Victoria's Secret Fearless, which I own, so maybe that's the one joiedevivreh is thinking of. Love Relentlessly doesn't get too far over into the Versace Bright Crystal/Clinique Happy/D&G Light Blue territory (the first Tory Burch fragrance was right there in that squad), but it's still mainstream, safe, not risky, not potentially offensive.

I'm surprised so many people here dislike this perfume! This to me just smells like a basic, inoffensive feminine perfume. Definitely fruity and powdery, and the patchouli and amber really comes through after the dry down. This is one of the few feminine perfumes I actually like and wear! Nothing special to be honest, but nice when you want to freshen up. I kept a rollerball in my gym bag for years and I thought this was perfect.

(From a paper Ulta sample that comes in their mailed catalogue): Nice pink pepper & detectable patchouli right off the bat, not too sharp or nose burning. After that, I notice some raspberry & litchi, with a bit of rose behind it. I'd pick it up if I saw it on sale at a discount store like TJ Maxx or Marshall's, but I wouldn't pay full asking price when there are other raspberry scents that I adore far more.

I found a small 1oz/rollerball set at Marshall’s on clearance for $18. This is a fruity, rose-patchouli in my opinion. It’s really pretty and non offensive, anyone could wear this one. I like it a lot, but probably wouldn’t repurchase it again. Unless I found it on clearance. * Got tired of this and gave it away. Note: The longer this sits , the patchouli gets waaay stronger...I can’t do it. Lol

It's pretty, safe and pleasant. This would be a great any day type of frag. Fruity < floral with patch. The vetiver makes it a little interesting but otherwise super-safe and feminine. I instantly thought to go on holiday with this one; not sure why. I envision wearing this to travel. Just a great "pretty girl" frag. 5 ish hours longevity with pleasant projection (not quite arm's length).

I like this fragrance. It's not a love but a like for sure. This to me smells incredibly similar to Fancy Forever by Jessica Simpson. So if you like this fragrance but not the price tag I'd get the Fancy Forever. They smell the same and perform the same as well. Love Relentlessly might be just a little more better blended. It's fresh, a little sweet, floral/fruity. 7.5/10

Dries down sourish, powdery with patchouli? Does have a creaminess. Does smell much richer/complex than a celebrity fragrance. It's an oddball... but interesting - it won't offend anyone with a sensitive nose. Initial spray is unpleasant... afterwards it has a young mommy smell. Powdery, milky with a sharp tart berry-rose note. .

I haven't been too impressed with this perfume house until this fragrance, which I really like. Primary notes on my skin are amber, pink pepper, and sandalwood with a touch of patchouli, mellowed out with the underlay of fruity and floral notes. Not ground breaking, but still very very nice. Longevity is excellent.

I really liked this one. In my opinion, the floral is much stronger than the woody notes. It’s powdery and sweet but not in an overpowering way. When I first tried this on, my first thought was “I smell pretty.” It’s just that - very very feminine and cute. The epitome of the word “pretty.”

Sweet ripened berries cut with a bit of citrus. There’s also patchouli and some woodiness in the dry the down. Smells like a lot of fruitchoulis that are out on the market right now. It’s nice enough but I wouldn’t repurchase it.

I really like this. The raspberry and rose keep the pepper in check. The woods are a nice complement. And the patchouli is mild. After two hours it’s mild patchouli and baby powder. I’ll be wearing this again.

This for sure has a Chanel DNA and the patchouli is certainly the base around which everything else revolves. It comes off quite corporate and basic, but it’s nice enough and has a classy girl aesthetic.

smells like fruit juice to me. i dont smell anything woody about this.But it is a nice spring summer scent, very fruity and juicy. My husband likes it lol. not bad

I was looking for something nice and light for the summer, but I'm not keen on this - it just smells sort of generic to me. It lasts well though.

It is a nice perfume, very floral with a hint of white musk. Very "perfumey" and feminine. Pleasant but not something I'd reach for often.

Similar to Coco Mademoiselle, on my skin is just bit creamier. Over all lighter, I’m not in woodsy frags, but this is really lovely.

My daughter gave this to me. I actually love the way it smells on me; which is surprising because I'm not fond of pink pepper.

Nice once. Sweet and youthful.
