Amaretto In The Melting Room

Coming into it i didn't have much expectations for this fragrance, just blind bought it because they are hard to get, and i wanted at least 1 Toskovat' perfume. And so on first spray, the opening reminded me a lot of Triumph Of Bacchus from Argos. Either the peach or tobacco notes seem very similar to me. But different from Bacchus you get a nice smooth almondy/amaretto note in there. which persist thought the whole life of the fragrance. Once its dried down, it turns around from the smoky/resinous feel, into a fruity sweet almost sugary breadcake with toppings of orange zest. I get very little tobacco, still the smooth amaretto, making it feel like your in a cozy cafe. overall i didn't think i would like it as much as i do. For a super niche, i think its very crowd pleasing most people would like too smell this. non offensive for sure. Might be my best sweet/fruity fragrance which I've been looking for. only downside for me, is longevity its good enough, 6-8 hours after that its a skin scent. But for the price. i would want it to be similar to a MFK Grand Soir, Xeroff Naxos Or Argos Triumph Of Bacchus in terms of longevity, which are all cheaper than this. (might be my skin) 9.5/10 would buy again.

it opens with a photorealistic scent of a fresh loaf of french sourdough bread, so cool! next, i was immersed into the vibe of a small church on a sunny day. i felt like a chaste christian woman (probably for the first time iml), made me want to wear a handkerchief. btw, the stone in the pyramid is actually a peach stone, it’s a one solid thing inside the fruit, but Fragrantica promoted them as an even more niche story :) i didn’t get the ride-or-die combo of tobacco+tonka, maybe it was just in little quantities to make the fragrance more complex. it’s mostly the sweet things but the main accord is almond. a loooot of almond. the scent itself doesn’t have a gender, it’s more of a highly wearable piece of art, but i can’t imagine m*n smelling so yummy and sweet without any citrus blast, alpha-male-ocean or Ironwood Power 3000. anyway, it may suit gold-hearted people who love almonds. 8/10 for a great quality and a mind-blowing bread twist. it’s just not my style. P. S. about the thing between Ataraxia and Toskovat’ - both perfumes are created by David, they collabed but had a beef over credits, rights to sell and all that capitalistic shii.

Oooh I love this. My first ever fragrance from Toskovat, so I was pretty excited to tear into it. The opening is super warm... I really get the bread and the peach with some amaretto. The amaretto note to me is more nutty than it is boozy. I can see the Angel’s Share comparison, but this one is more smooth and subtle, while Angel’s Share smells like a hangover. The bread is delicious but not long-lasting, which is a shame, I’d bottle that up on its own if I could. The tobacco and honeycomb are also really prominent. It has a sort of mature feel, and it’s really warm. For the life of me I can’t pick up on the wax, but I’m really pleased with what I do smell. Think opening your spice cabinet while you’re making some almond biscotti. Super yummy and SUPER wearable, plus more unisex than other comparable gourmands. Love love love!

For me this Fragrance on first spray I feel as though I cannot smell it or I am nose blind to it in the opening. Once it dries some I began getting the Candle Wax, Amaretto, Sugar Syrup, Honeycomb and Tobacco with the Bread note kind of lingering in the background which is strange. Overall this is a really good Fragrance from the House of Toskovat' Imo it is very wearable. Nothing here i feel is offense or off putting.. tbh it is a beautiful honey tobacco fragrance kind of in the Realm of Dior Tobacolor except the Amaretto in this gives it a slight cherry vibe which compliments the Honeycomb and Tobacco notes perfectly. Excellent work from Toskovat' an Art piece for sure!

Very strong realistic amaretto note with honey, but not classic honey but more like a honeycomb. In the dry down the amaretto note stays but it becomes more syrupy. It does have similarities with angel share but they are completely different fragrances, and this one is much better. Very sexy and sedductive; and a very addictive smell in general 10/10

definitely love it, to me very much a date night kinda situation. however, I do think it's a bit too quiet/subdued for the price, definitely a complex and rich scent but leans gentle rather than strong which I would prefer a bit more oomph which is probably my fault as I was looking for a bit more of that fake maraschino cherry scent.

Such a rich hit of amaretto it's like you're drunk after a spray. The bread and stone notes jive with the candle wax to create something rich and sexy with the stillness of an afterparty still vibrating from the night's adventure.

This is super dooper wearable. I get primarely honey, amaretto and an odd waxy note which makes it interesting. In the opening there's a sacramental bread note that lasts like 10min. Amazing and delicious fragrance.

Warm vanilla and sweet amaretto with a base of wax and a touch of tobacco. Very delicious, but unfortunately quite simple and intimate. Great for layering though. 8.5/10.

Just like real amaretto, the opening is boozy, nutty, and syrupy sweet. The honey, vanilla, and tonka build a rich and decadent gourmand base that turns tobacco forward on the drydown.The almond is present in the dry down as well, but goes from nutty to powdery on my skin. Unlike many of Toskovat's other fragrances, the more out there notes like the wax and bread are quite subtle and blend into the composition, with the wax combining with the honeycomb and the bread adding a malty savoriness to the tobacco. Though, I've looked everywhere for the peach and still can't find it, but that might just be my skin. Typical of the Toskovat house, AMR is robust but not quite beast mode, lasting few hours with robust projection before becoming a skin scent. I don't think most people would have issues with this fragrance's performance. This isn't Toskovat's most envelope pushing statement in the art of perfumery either, but it is a nice honey-tobbaco-almond scent. I think it's fine for things to be just nice sometimes too.

Amaretto and vanilla, the amaretto has that floral quality a lot of almond notes tend to have in perfumery nowadays, more like the almond tree's blossoms instead of the actual almond. I can see the similarities with Angels' Share but this is like a stripped down version of the Kilian (which is telling as Angels' Share isn't a complex scent, Toskovats are just far more one dimensional than their laundry list of notes would make you think).

I wanted more from this. It's an enjoyable amaretto with a noticeable wax note that's definitely interesting but it's not robust enough in my opinion. There's something flat after those smells fade, like an almond hand soap. It's not unpleasant and it's long lasting, just not enough of a wow.

This a a very user friendly niche fragrance which despite the notes of which some are definitely not the usual is very wearable. I’m not usually a fan of tobacco notes but it’s hardly noticeable in this fragrance instead it’s a sweet vanilla suitable for men or women

I don't get most of the notes coming through. Mostly just wax and a spicy vanilla, maybe a hint of amaretto. It's not bad, but it feels strangely one-note and flat for how complex the list of notes implies it would be.

I really loved the amaretto opening of this perfume but after about 2-4 hours of wear it leaves a gross artificial base I hate that lasts hours (for me it is similar to that of when Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia fades which I find offensive within an hour) and thus makes this unwearable.

It is so intensely almond that even after an hour, all I could smell was fake almond

A sorry dupe of the Ataraxia - Amaretto Jazz. While the original had a rich deepness to it, this one feels flat and cheap.

I think I like how waxy this smells. It smells like beeswax which is quite pleasant imo. A lot of fragrances that have a candle wax note smell really synthetic or like a straight-up candle. The amaretto is most prominent first spray and a bit thereafter, fades down to a vanilla tobacco. I usually dislike vanilla scents but this one isn't cloying and rounded out by the wax and tobacco. I get a slight hint of yeast-iness as well. I do like this fragrance but my fav Toskovat perfumes are Born Screaming, Age of Innocence, Silent at the Theme Park, and Empty Wishes Well.

The bread comes off more of a sweet bread like banana bread without the banana with amaretto. There is a nuttiness and plastic feel to the amaretto with the nuttiness feeling more natural. Sweet, but not cloyingly sweet. Could see this doing well in the winter or cold. Probably the top one I have smelled from them.

Finally had the chance to sample this and it's terribly overrated to my nose. Not impressed. It's not bad, but it's much too gentle. Candle wax note is prominent, and so is the honey. Overpriced skin scent with performance to match.

Looking for a full presentation bottle of this if anyone wants to sell. I have the other 2 in the collection, but this was sold out, so if anyone can help me complete the collection that would be awesome!

super smooth amaretto and a hint of candle wax to make it even smoother. Doesnt smell like cherry, or almond, it just smells like a super sweet gourmand - its very well blended and i like it a lot.

These fragrances genuinely make me ask my life choices i think its like being into something you love it so much then you lose everything at one and you release and just expect it I love it 9/10

Some are comparing it to angel share, it’s much better than angel share, much more subtle and classy, received it this morning and will ware it tonight for the New Year eve...

Can someone explain what is the issue between toskovat and ataraxia, and why they have the same names for fragrances and who’s first since who’s best remains subjective ???

If anyone is interested in buying this I have my bottle for sale on eBay which is practically new.

Honestly a good gourmand would I say it’s better than LBC? Nope
