Pining Dew 2

Controversial, as all Toskovat's are. It's not an 'easy' fragrance, none of them are and they're niot supposed to be. Hence the controversy ;) The inspiration for the perfumer is personal and the fragrance works only if you find something personal in it too. SO DEFINITELY NOT FOR EVERYONE. I don't care about pineapple and gin. Yes, it's moist and musty and mineral and vegetable-like. And I love it! It's gloriously nostalgic, reminds me of old wooden cabin in the pine forest near the lake, where I used to spend summers as a kid. Mouldy mattress and mosquito spray and the relief of cool air in the shade of resinous trees in the middle of stuffy, hot day. And long weeks of doing nothing. I'm saving every drop since it's unavailable for a while now. 10/10

A pleasantly surprisingly blind buy. I bought this on a whim without knowing anything about this fragrance except, there was a pineapple note and David is so cute! It’s become one of my all time favorites. My co-worker calls it my tootie fruity scent. I don’t necessarily agree but the fruit scent is there with so much more! I can’t put it into words except it’s absolutely perfection!

definitely one of my favorites when it comes to Toskovat pieces. didn't expect to like the pepper + pineapple combo this much, but here we are. opening feels like shooting yourself with a spice gun, followed by a mixture of sweet and unique smells (like whiffs of celery and gin). it's either you love or hate this one, must try for neo-gourmand fans

Yes, pineapple + pepper + lavender = celery, and YES, it’s an adorable neo-gourmand fragrance, first time I smelled it I did instantly loved it! indeed leans towards masculine because of pepper, but yet it’s very stylish and very pulloutable for ladies 🪩

divine. like a tan by the pool, but not quite by the beach; the soles of your feet touch ceramic, there's a glass in your hand and the condensation on it has grown warm. the sunset has passed, and the nightclub nearby's lit up purple, white.

A tall glass of gin with jammy pineapple. Medicinal & salty on drydown. Aching.

Polarizing is one word that comes to mind. It smells like cleaning up after a party you had when you were 19 while miserably hungover. Right off the bat it’s heavy on the juniper, alcohol and pineapple. My nose picked up a little fennel or anise as well. Maybe some burnt sugar too? It does relax after some time and may even be somewhat pleasant-I’m still not quite sure of this. This is the best way I can describe Pining Dew 2: a burp that smells like half digested pizza, pineapple juice and gin but it all comes together surprisingly well? It’s your first house party distilled into a bottle. It’s young and lively but also crude and rough around the edges. I think the perfumer nailed what he was going for in the description for the fragrance, whether or not it’s wearable is going to be up to you. Performance is solid. Not a safe blind buy but I appreciate the artistry.

i think the most prominent note and smell on this is gin. It has this mojito kind of alcohol vibe from torino 21, but it has more lime and it has more of a sour lime in the gin. An addition to that, there's also a realy sensible black pepper on the opening, but no pineapple for some reason, atelast to me. when it finally dries down it gets more aromatic with a bit of vetiver. I'm not the biggest fan of this type of dna tbh, i don't like aromatic vetiver scents in general. Also the pepper was also a bad addition for me too. i'd give it a 5/10 whilst having a normal perspective rather than an artistic one.

the pineapple in this is really fun and unique! unfortunately i think the combo of acidic fruit and gin makes this a tiny bit pee-smelling. not overwhelmingly so, but just enough that i don't really want to wear it. very sad, because all the other notes are right up my alley.

Pineapple, gin, pepper and a touch of lavender mixed with grassy vetiver. Wearable and unique but not pleasing. This doesn’t please me lol. Becomes salty as it develops which I supposed gives it an aquatic, herbal undertone. Meh!

I definitely get the celery smell, also a little bit of fennel. There's definitely something sweet in there but I don't get pineapple. It's very interesting but at the same time makes me feel a little ill.

Makes me feel a little sick and a little sad at the same time. I wouldn't buy a bottle, but I like wearing it from time to time.

Nice alchocol and gin scent with some pineapple but not whole imo it is more of a gin scent which is nice and clean but medicinal and weird which is the reason that I do not like this scent at all.

Smells like a clone of Parle Moi de Parfum Mile High 38 (pineapple+salted caramel) mixed with some FM Music For a While (lavender+pineapple). The sweetness here is naseauting.

On one hand it smells exactly like the notes - pineapple, gin, salt and cedar but... I don’t know, it’s somehow unfresh? Stale? Musty? Somehow it has a stock cube note.

The dry down smells like celery dipped in caramel. Not sure who this if for but definitely not for me.

this smells EXACTLY like that one mosquito repellent spray we used when i was a kid. lavender heavy, but it's a salty type of herbaceous, bitter and almost oily lavender. there is not a single refreshing note on my skin, not a hint of pineapple to sweeten it up, but most improtantly, there is no dew. not even one drop. it's dry, naphthalene-level cloying. sure, you can try to match these values to the story behind the scent, imagine spraying yourself head to toe with mosquito repellent as you go through the forest to enjoy an evening swim in a lake - i relate to that part. but there is no lake here, no forest, maybe just an implied green leaf in the sand. man, i got angry

Salty Lavendery Pineapple that smells like you puked into a bottle of Gin. Not a pleasant wear or smell.

This one definitely isn’t blind-buy safe, but then again, I don’t think any Toskovat really is. It opens with a very sweet, overripe pineapple note, then dries down into a salty, boozy gin scent that might not work for everyone. I don’t find it as challenging or wild as some people make it out to be, but it’s the kind of fragrance that grows on you the more time you spend with it, especially once you read the story behind it.

Celery... Green celery juice and nothing else. Short lived, about 2h 30min, with zero performance. Overhyped, overpriced, overrated. A very poor copy of Bond No.9 Brooklyn if you want something to compare it and that one isn't great either. Test it if you want but don't blindbuy a full bottle.

I am sorry but as a kitchen professional I have to weight in on this one. This might smell like pineapple, but it definitely smells like celery. I love the house, love artisanal perfumery but to me this is unwearable because I have no reason to be smelling like this gorgeous stemmy veg.

Kind of reminds me of Tar by Miguel Matos, I think the pineapple note. There's something buttery smelling in this. I wish it was more of a cold juniper and lime coming out and less warm coming through. I'm looking for a gin fragrance.

To my nose its a licorice type of scent. If im smelling it long enough than its a rusty old banister??? I dont know what am i thinking about it😆 6-7/10??

I love the pineapple and lavender opening, but after a few minutes, this turns into a fake-tan-like smell on my skin.
